Sandbox, Intrigue, Infiltrate
This is a semi-sandbox style module length adventure in a hamlet sized town. Looking for a group of 4! I like players with descriptive writing ability (doesn't have to be good writing, just descriptive enough to feed the visuals).
The party is contacted/hired to infiltrate a strategically important baron's operations and capture, kill, or otherwise sabotage his current efforts. The plan is to arrive just a few steps before the larger Andoran army lays siege, disguised as merchant guards.
After three decades of civil war, in which the diabolists of House Thrune consolidated their hold on the mighty empire of Cheliax, the tide of revolution swept through Andoran. Frustrated with centuries of foreign rule and appalled by Cheliax’s new masters, the people of Andoran banded together to throw off the shackles of empire and embrace republican rule. During those days, the Andoren nobility faced a difficult choice: side with the people of Andoran and forfeit their titles, or join with the evil Chelish empire and face the wrath of the people. In the end, those who openly sided with Cheliax were killed or driven into exile, while those who embraced the revolution retained much of their wealth and influence.
A brave few nobles chose neither side, unable to relinquish their cherished nobility and unwilling to side with the foreign empire. The most famous of these is Baron Vendikon, once master of a large barony, who now controls little more than the few miles around his keep in Piren’s Bluff. While his remote holdings were small enough to avoid the wrath of the mob during the revolution, Piren’s Bluff is key in defending the new nation of Andoran from its enemies in Cheliax. Of late, the People’s Council in Almas has been leery of leaving such a strategically important position in the hands of a neutral party, but as of yet, they have been unable to take direct action…
Rules/Character Generation:
So, it’s a pre-pathfinder module, but we’ll use normal modern rules. My quirks below:
Crunch:
Core races, no CE.
15 point buy, max hp first then avg or roll (higher), 6000 gp, level 4.
Background Skills, Unchained yes.
No 3rd party material.
3-5+ posts per day, hope to finish by early August.
Fluff:
Give me something short and sweet that captures the character’s personality and appearance, in the style of a typical post. (2-4 paragraphs with a little dialogue max please) You might consider some kind of tie-in with the Andoran army, since you’ll be ostensibly working for them...but not necessary at all.
I’ve been away from the boards a while but am on vacation again and ready to play. Recruitment open until 12 GMT June 10th.

Well, I know the site was down for a good 6 million hours, but anything I can do to make this more appealing? 20 pt buy perhaps?
I think you're scaring everyone with the posting expectations. Games here struggle with one post per day.
I like fast moving games but cannot commit to more than two posts per day.
Good luck!

I'm interested in this, if it does end up taking off!
I can definitely post daily, probably twice most weekdays.
I've been thinking of trying out some classes/concepts that are new to me - I was thinking of a Daring Champion cavalier.
I can have the character up by your June 10 deadline if you're still considering running.

Garan Swiftblade |

Hey Virgil/Walter!
Yeah, I kinds fell off in the PFS world for a while.
Anyway, this is Derek's fencing cavalier. I'm not using character gen software, so putting this all up takes some time. The crunch should pretty much be here - I will think over his background some more and add that in the morning.
I haven't quite settled on Background skills - but I'll have it all ready soon.

Looks cool, not seen that archetype in action before.
Getting some initial google slides together at the moment. Intend to move tokens on it, keep track of treasure and npcs etc instead of typing in forums. Has worked well in the past but if anyone is having trouble on their phone let me know and we can work something else out. Will be in sig momentarily...

Still 6 hours to deadline but I am going to bed soon.
Therefore I'm going to go ahead and invite the 4 with semi-complete characters (Virgil, Nysha, Noya, and Garan)to the discussion thread if you guys want to start talking whilst I sleep.
If more submit before the deadline then the more the merrier.
