Yea, but this kind of thing is a little niche. There isn't that much overlap between LOl players and PF players. Maybe if he likes our PCs enough he'll end it early.
Lucius Cassius |
Yea, that's pretty bad. Bear's Might seems unusually restrictive. But getting Improved Grapple is nice.

Good morning everyone. My family and I are going on vacation Monday, March 4 through Saturday, March 9. During that time, I do not expect to have a reliable internet connection.
We will be traveling for most of Monday, so I will definitely not post that day. Starting Tuesday, I will try to update threads at least once a day, but it may not be possible depending on the internet situation.
Just wanted to warn everyone ahead of time if I end up going silent for the entire week.
Alexei Dawnreach |
Okay, I have to apologize for not being very active for the last week or so.
I just started a job, while taking a full load of classes at my college, and doing 15 hours of observation at an Elementary school for one of those classes, so I have been mentally and emotionally drained and not really in the proper shape to be contributing meaningfully to the game.
My last day of observation is Thursday, so after that, it should be full speed ahead, but I will likely get bogged down with papers and such in the coming month or two. I kindly request your patience.

All,
Just wanted to post about some happenings in my life.
We have had some major turnover at work in the past few weeks, and as a result, my responsibilities have significantly changed. Unfortunately, making posts in my DM games is going to be very difficult for a while during work hours, so my posting will generally occur in the evenings.
I may make some posts from time to time during the day, but I anticipate those to be the exception rather than the rule. I should have time to answer specific questions here and there, it's just the official story updates that I won't be able to post.
Anyway, I'll do my best to maintain daily updates, but I may miss a day here or there. I just wanted everyone to know ahead of time in case it happens.
That's it, thanks.

No worries, I totally understand work getting in the way of gaming. Stupid bosses not understanding the need to update PBPs.. :)

Regarding the guard at the stairs, I'm not trying to be difficult here, but so far Lucius has told a fairly unconvincing lie (his Bluff check was 11), and now Bjorn is threatening the guard and getting ready to start a fight.
Out of curiosity, why haven't you asked anybody in the bar who the men were? Why haven't you asked the guard about the club or its members? Why haven't you asked about joining the club? Why not leave and try to hide outside with the rest of your group until you see the men leave the bar?
I'm just saying there are several options available to you that don't involve Bluff checks or combat that nobody has tried yet.
So let me know if you still want combat to ensue. We'll do it if you want to, but it's definitely not the only way to achieve your goals.
Bjorn Stonehand |
As far as Bjorn knows these men are suspect, either in connection with the Whispering Way or Alpy's cover-up. Those suspects are in sight (or just out of sight). He's not going to waste time asking around to gather information or looking for clue when his goal (the suspicious characters) are within reach. He doesn't particularly care what kind of club this is or how one becomes a member.
So far the entire AP has been about chasing unknown villains and trying to solve mysteries. For once there's a target in sight. I plan to act on that.
If this random bouncer is an unshakable pillar of resolve, Bjorn will go through him.
Lucius Cassius |
And I will sneak away while Bjorn is being pummeled. Or our two half orcs could come in and y'know, help us figure out a way?

Those are all good ideas for Lucius but entirely out of character for the big were-blooded viking.

Hey everyone, sorry for my absence. I've been sick as a dog (again!) with a sinus infection, and this is the first I've felt like sitting up in front of a computer in a few days. Working to catch up now.
DM Haldhin |
Apologies for my random schedule the past week or so. We have had a number of storms in the area, and several large trees have been falling around my neighborhood. We've lost power at least five times that I can remember, and we still don't have tv or internet (day three). Just a freak stretch of weather we're having.
Anyway, work seems to be settling down a bit and it looks like my daily routine is moving back to a "normal" state. Assuming that happens (which I think is likely), I'd like to get back into the at least a post per day habit. If this causes a problem for anybody, please let me know. I know my absence has been tough on the game, and I appreciate everyone's perseverance and patience.
Korvus Slade |
Hey everyone! Sorry for the unexpected silence, but this is the first chance I've had to get on the 'net since Sunday. Monday we drove most of the day from our old town to our new town to close on our new house, Tuesday the movers arrived with all of our stuff, and today the phone company finally connected our Internet. So we're slowly getting settled in. Working to catch up now!
And very sorry to see Alexei go!
Korvus Slade |
"That's pretty much all for today. Tomorrow we are defending against the Hergstag murders - anything you can find would be a great help. This is one where the sisters saw - and accurately identified - the Beast carrying one of the dead children. I'd suggest speaking with them if you haven't already."
Ooooh! Who are the sisters from Hergstag who identified Alpy carrying one of the dead children, and where can we find them?
DM Haldhin |
Feeling better tonight, thankfully! :)
Map is up. There is a red square under Bjorn, Lucius, and Harold marking the pit under the door (which is a white rectangle). Korvus is on the edge of the pit.
Please post actions as if in combat.
Just so everyone knows, the interior of the building after you leave the meeting room very acrid and sulfuric - almost making your eyes water. The chemicals in this place are highly concentrated, and in the wrong hands, could be extremely dangerous.
