Rysalius Starnon, reporting for duty!

![]() |

Roland Garros, seriously?!

![]() |

You should know it only if you are a follower of clay-court tennis grand slam tournaments in France. (Hence the accent for Roland)
www.rolandgarros.com

French is my mother tongue, hence my knowing this tournament and my raising the eyebrow when I you posted.

GM Aarvid |

I always liked the name of the tennis stadium (and no offense was intended).
I did not know the history of the aviator whom the stadium was named until afterwards.

![]() |

No, I'm Swiss. :)

![]() |

I'm from Lausanne, in the south of Switzerland. You're really not far!

![]() |

No worrieS. :) Things happen and we have plenty of time.

Any idea on when we'll actually start? I'm looking forward to it!

Please excuse the delay, i am currently wrtiting a thesis and spend a lot of time in the library, where i don´t have access to everything.
And this thesis goes before PFS and everything else, understandably i guess.
I´m trying to put up a good roleplay with this scenario, since i think this is key to making it a good scenario and many other people actually asked for more roleplay. If you want more railroading and don´t care about a good atmosphere in the game, please let me know. Here.
For comments that don´t further the game, please use the discussion thread.

![]() |

Of course it does!
I don't mind roleplay at all, but when posts are too infrequent, players tend to lose motivation. One post a week is actually detrimental to the involvment of the people taking part, I think.
Sorry for posting it in the gameplay thread, it was more of an echo to Roland's remark.

GM Farmagnuðr |

No problem.
I am aware of that, but in this case in between i just can´t help it.
Even though i don´t like it myself, a slow game is still better than none.
I read the scenario of course and i think i know what i´m doing and how long it will take.
If we were fast this could be finished at the end of the month, middle to end of december latest. There might even be place for another game, so don´t worry.

GM Farmagnuðr |

By the way, please make sure everyone knows what the seasonal goals for his faction are and the society, so you have a chance at succeeding in secondary goals, the new faction missions.
Please refrain from looking into the respective document though, this would be plain cheating as i´m sure you know^^

I dont have an issue, though there is not much I can really contribute to social encounters. :) Id like a little faster pace, but real life comes first, so no hard feelings on my part. Im in the military and Ive had times where I simply could not post at all. It happens, and good luck on your work.
I did want to mention that sometimes on my phones browser, if there are a few spoilers in a post it will show them, and I cant help that. I will not read them, however, if I can help it.

Allright from now on we will be using ditzie for maps.
I post the link in the gameplay thread.
You click on it, take you character token where you want to go, then hover over it with your mouse and push enter on your keyboard.
That creates a new link with a new image.
Please copy that new link from the browser adress bar and post it as a map link in your post then.
If you have any questions, just ask me please.
@Thor: You can still say something and roleplay^^ Social encounters are more than just skills. In question you can also aid another, which is always a good idea.

![]() |

I'm a little confused. Where are we all right now? Are Karos, Quinn, Roland, and I talking to Demirck as Rys and Max are searching her room, or did we rewind, or what is actually going on?

GM Farmagnuðr |

Please decide if you want to have the rain or not.
It has both pro and cons for you.
Guess all should say yes or no, so we don´t get complaints.
To explain, the scenario says it´s raining in Sauerton, but doesn´t explicitly say there is rain at this scene or moment. Doesn´t say it stops raining though.

![]() |

I'm fine either way. But my character would exalt in the weather.

![]() |

If it is in the story as raining, let the rains pour. We would not want to cause a drought and impact wine production next season. :-)

![]() |

I'm fine with the rain.

![]() |

Probably just so that when we get to that point, we can move along instead of needing to wait. Different groups do Init differently in PbP. Some go individual, so have everyone post and the DM will put them in order, and what I've started it to break it into groups.

Playing around with the map that Maxime posted, trying to move Roland 30' forward, but no luck. Just get a circle with a slash through it (not valid) and cannot save the image. I am sure there is some trick I am missing. Online Help was not all that helpful.

Hayato Ken |

Mh that´s kind of strange. Could be i somewhere choose wrong settings.
But normally when you hover over your token or someone else´s you should get a four directions cross and be able to move it. After you moved it, hover over it again and press enter. The site should then quickly reload and generate a new ip for the new picture, which will only be shown in the adress-space of your browser, no pop-up or other effect.

![]() |

Sorry, slammed with work. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier to post. Barley even got to look at the playtest.

GM Farmagnuðr |

Mh.
GM Farmagnuðr wrote:Ehm, second round? Karos could specify that step up a bit please? Not sure what the first sentence means. I figured that actually moving Karos on the map would clarify the second.
"Ehm, second round" means that the second round of combat is officialy opened. Just was a little sceptic because no one posted something.
Moving yourself on the map clarifies a lot.
It seems there are still some problems though.
So, you go to the map, move your token, then hover over it with the mouse and press enter on your keyboard. That creates a new IP adress for the whole map, the site will reload shortly and have the new IP adress in the browsers adress field. You need to copy that adress and link the new map here. Else your efforts are wasted, because either your movements are not saved or not shared with the rest.
Since Maxime managed to do that, i believe it should function for everyone. You don´t need an account there normaly. Perhaps someone using addblock or some similar program?

![]() |

I usually use Google Drawings and it works well. If you just save the map so that "anyone with the link" "can edit", everyone can move around freely without needed to relink.

Used google before too, but by now i just think ditzie is kind of cooler.
Admittedly, the writing and drawing function is an advantage for google at the moment, but ditzie is still beta state. Hope they will get some extras still^^
Not sure where you are from Ilmakis, but you can unfortunately be sure, there is no such thing as privacy in the internet. All the supposedly things you did there in the last 10 years were probably recorded somewhere. I woulnd´t wonder either when they also got analyzed and still be kept today somewhere somehow, even for plain normal persons all around the world.
The kind of power deriving from that information ist just to awesome to leave behind for some people. Especially if you live in a country with a lot of nuclear bombs that calls itself world´s Nr.1 democracy, but seems to be aiming at becoming world´s Nr.1 autocracy.
