"I think we're going to have to call in the ringers if we want this to work." Áine says softly in an aside to Faith, glancing at Pakshee and giving the big man a little wink and nudge with her elbow.

Male Human Warpriest 17

Faith blinks blankly at Áine, and then the light visibly dawns.

"Oh," he says, and takes a moment to dress down -- enough to bare the tattoo over his heart. "Pakshee here," he nods toward Pakshee, "is an artist of great ability. She inscribed this tattoo."

Showing off the newly improved chest piece: 1d20 + 41 ⇒ (8) + 41 = 49

Radiant Muse stills, the near-imperceptible vibration of frantic energy that powers the ancient lilleth calming as she listens to all the new arts that could bring energy to what she clearly sees as a stagnating culture.  When Faith bares the chest pieces the outsider moves with a pop of air closely examining the work.

After a moment she nods, "You will teach war," she points at Zaine, "so next time a minor vampire comes around they will not rely on outsiders to save them."

"You," she points at Aine, "will learn the songs, so that if the people are lost, not all is ash."

She smiles.  A hard feral look as her eyes greedily wash over the tattoo.  "And she will teach.  A new way of an old craft."

She waves her hand, "You have my blessing to take people to die.  Those that survive will be stronger."

Boggards

The boggards of the farming district are grateful that they no longer have a number of menances on their land, but also still upset and fearful that you killed their god.  However, they are not naturally inclined to go underground for something as unrelatable as saving the world.  Negotiations are needed to convince them to work with you.

This negotiation is represented by a series of 5 Diplomacy or Intimidate checks.  Regardless of which tact you wish to take you have people willing to support you granting a +6 aid.  If everyone rolls, I'll take whoever had the highest bonus as the primary.

Vegepygmies

Talking with the Pathfinders, they have realized that activating the Spears to allow the army ingress to Ilmurea, will destroy the district pyramid housing the ancient weapons.  Not a huge deal for most of the districts, but it would destroy the russet mold colony which is the center of their tribe.  However, given that light is their enemy, if you can arrange for them to have a place put aside for them in Ilmurea after the battle they will fight.

If the group is good with making a place for the plant-people in the underground city after the battle, then a series of  Diplomacy checks to represent the negotiation, including which area of the underground city they will be able to claim.

Osond grins widely when you return, falling in beside you to talk of numbers and timing. He greatly appreciates the warning that the opening salvo on the underground city will destroy the spire in his district. Before he and his people go to war, he plans of ensuring the things of importance to the Tribe are moved.

Boggards

The chieftain of the boggards tries, during the first negotiation, to bluster and bluff his way out of any responsibility to the war effort with the Pathfinder negotiators. In the following negotiations, the more prominent lurking lurking glower of Zaine atop the toothy enormous (although still young) dinosaur has the cowardly leader quickly falling in line.

Vegepygmies

The negotiations with the plant people takes much longer than the boggards. They are picking about which people they allow into the area, requiring a certain level of jungle-savy to even come to the table. The biggest hurdle is getting them to believe you regarding the destruction of the central pyramid and thus the russet mold which is the base of their people. It takes days to truly be able to read the stoic and vegatative features.

After much frustration, however, they are convinced of implacability of the future and the need to change and ... grow.

Two other options that are available: (1) Red Mantis Assassins are still in the area looking for an artifact important to their faith and (2) while not in the city proper, you have heard intelligence that the Gorilla King's army is only a few hours north of Saventih-Yhi. The demon worshipping apes would provide a definite advantage in the battle but are... demon worshiping simians.

Faith:
One day (during downtime) while fishing, Faith senses someone watching him with ferocious intent. Carefully looking around, he sees a young woman, dark skinned, dressed in a manner similar to that of the Tribe of the Radiant Serpent, although more grimy than he has seen most.

Other Options

"It is a difficult thing to determine," Faith says, as the Red Mantis assassins and the Gorilla King's army are considered as allies, "when it is necessary to ally with evil. How well do we reckon our chances with the allies we have? I would rather survive the serpents with the Mantis or the demon apes at my back than not survive at all. But such an alliance would have consequences."

He sighs and runs his hand through his hair. "The willingness to even consider such a thing sets me apart from my more ... dogmatic ... brothers and sisters of Vildeis."

On the one hand, I would rather not have such things as allies, but I agree, without knowing that we will prevail without them...and not really wanting them at full strength when our allies are weakened as well... Yeah, I guess it makes sense to get them in on it. At least we'll be able to keep an eye on them. On the other hand, I think it just as likely they will betray us and worsen our chances in the main battle itself." as is often her wont, she pauses in thought, "Yeah, I don't know. I guess it's a risk either way. I'm kinda leaning towards recruiting them, though if we fail, it lets them know everyone that stays behind will be in a weakened condition...and how would we approach it? Push them into line with the forceful presence of Tulip and Zaine or give them the chance for destruction, blood and gore? Do we know anything about the demon they worship? I've kind of forgotten."

The decision may have been partially made for you because as you approach your tower base camp, you see a cloud of derhi carefully circling the tower. On the ground, there is a single one of the winged gorilla on the ground. The activity of the camp is subdued, but you see no signs of blood or combat.

The grounded scout is looking quite passively annoyed until he finally sees you approach. Then with a booming voice that carries up to the derhi above and well into the verdant jungle around, "Ruthazek, the Gorilla King of Usaro, has sent us here to be an honor guard to guide you to a feast of greeting."

Faith/Fishing:
The girl nods. A long pause and then, quietly, "I would like you help please."

A pause, wafting for Faith's answer. Then, presumably... She smiles, just a little, "My people are generally good but they their worship of the Radiant Muse is all encompassing," she looks down at the jungle dirt, moving some with her foot, she shakes her head, "They do not understand someone who would not want to follow her, to be part of her faith."

She looks up, finds Faith's eyes, "It isn't right for me. I've seen a figure, all bandages and blood, I think her path is calling me."

Zaine:
One morning, during downtime, a skinny man whose clothing matches those you've seen worn by the Tribe of the Sacred Serpent approaches Zaine cautiously, a piece of what looks to be a carved container in his hands. The man smiles nervously, cautiously eyeing the nearby dinosaur. "Ummm, I found this artifact and a spirit inside it, I think it was trying to communicate with me, but it..." he shakes his head. "The blonde woman in there," he motions to the tower base of operations, "said to talk to you."

Male Human Cavalier 17

"Fantastic," Zaine says without much feeling. "There is absolutely no way this will go terribly wrong." He'll follow the gorilla envoy.

GM:
"Thanks," Zaine says, accepting the artifact. "If you're going back that way, would you let her know to come find me?"

Zaine turns the thing over in his hand. "How do you talk to this thing? Is there a magic word or something?"

"I will help you, if I can," Faith says, encouraging her to say more.

And then

Faith returns the girl's gaze directly. "My Goddess' path is a hard one, and much more violent than I imagine the Radiant Muse's path to be. But if you are called...."

Faith pats the ground next to where he is sitting. "Sit next to me and tell me what you have seen -- and what you have felt. And I will tell you about Vildeis and her path. You should know the journey's end before you set foot on the path."

Áine is looking up towards the flying derhi. She nods distractedly in agreement.

While the majority of the 'honor guard' keeps to the skies above you the single speaking derhii travels directly with the group, either on the ground (or gratefully through the air if you so choose). His quiet is more observation rather than sullen, taking in the groups' weapons and armor. You are guided just north of the military district where a wide clearing has been trampled flat in the thick jungle. Entering the group passes through (or over) hundreds of charau-ka, derhii and dire apes which lound around the clering in brush or trees, many bearing armor and weapons.

At the far side of the clearing a grand pavilion has been erected, shading a massive silverback gorilla resplendent in armor and crown sitting on a throne crafted of stone, bone and gold. A wide table has been set up before the throne, laden with a plethora of jungle foods. In and around the pavilion a number of naked humans scurry about continuing to prepare contributions to the massive feat.

The Gorilla King shifts as he sees the group approach and when they draw near he hails you in Taldane. "The ancient city has long been on my radar and my interest was peaked when my scouts reported the rise of a centralized power in the previously broken city." He bares his teeth in what would be a human smile, "It seems you have fought for the right to claim rule of the city." He motions to the table and its feast, "As the king of Usaro, I wish to speak with others who may be of my strength and I wish to honor those who have conquered the city with a feast."

Faith:
The girl nods gravely when Faith says the path is more violent. She moves up next to Faith a sits on the ground, pulling her knees to her chest. "I haven't seen much, the man with the wrong-way hands, the hulking weight of the frog with tentacle eyes, but every time I've seen them I've..." she worries at her lip, "not felt, but needed to go forth and remove the evil they embody..."

"She said I could go, but if I find someone to purify my path, for her wounds to be mine then I'd be more likely to survive."

Zaine:
The native, "She said you'd want me to take you to where I found the artifact." The skinny man shakes his head, "She said..." His eyes squeeze shut, as he tries to recall, "I think she said, 'Stupid wall won't want me anymore than the barriers around the crypt.'"

At almost the same moment, a voice speaks clearly in Zaine's mind. 'Greetings young traveler, it has been so long since I've been able to communicate with anyone that an open mind is quite a delight.' A pause, 'I'll understand if you speak aloud or if you just think forcefully.'

on the way over Áine will take a drought of anti-toxin, anti-plague and night tea and offer the same to Juliver, "just in case".

Áine glances back at Faith, allowing the appearances of deference to the big northerner before she speaks, as well as signaling that she is willing to cede the floor at any time "And as a representative of those who have united the city, we welcome your magnanimous gesture and the opportunity to perhaps come to an understanding sooner rather then later." It is obvious Áine is doing her best to at least open on a diplomatic basis, though there seems to be something here that has already bothered her greatly.

Male Human Cavalier 17

Zaine holds the musket easily across his lap, patiently waiting for this whole thing to not be weird.

GM:
"That makes sense," Zaine says. "All right, take me there, please. And if I start talking, it's not to you. I'm talking to the... ghost, I guess."

"I'm all ears," Zaine says to the object.

Male Human Warpriest 17

"We are well met," Faith says to Ruthazek. "We accept your honor as it is intended," and he flashes a grin back to the King. It's clear that no matter what happens at this meal, combat or parley, Faith will enjoy it. "And we will treat with you as a peer, out of respect."

Faith's expression darkens at the motion of the scurrying servant/slaves, but he does his best to return it to neutral as he says to Ruthazek, "We saw many of your warriors on our journey, and I am certain there are many others. How far does your dominion extend? It must be vast."

Fishing:
Faith listens to the girl's story.

"That is the way of it," Faith says, in agreement, all seriousness. "To remove evil from this world. To know that one day you will die while fighting that evil -- that your death to slow its advance is your final prayer to Vildeis. Dying in bed is for others."

Faith steeples his fingers for a moment, and says, "I am an imperfect vessel of Vildeis's will, but I shall teach you what I can. Do you have a scar to dedicate to her? The first one is not likely to be as fancy as this," he taps the scarred breastplate image on his cheek, "but something of the sort can be arranged. Her sacred weapon is the dagger." Faith pulls out a dagger, and offers it to the girl, hilt first.

"Excellent," the Gorilla King says, motioning for the 'leaders' to take a seat at the banquet table. As he does so, six of the naked humans move to take position on all fours along the table length. On the far side of the table, three of Ruthazek's advisors sit on the living chairs.

The first course is revealed, fresh monkey brains and a bloody soup of eyeballs and wild onions served in the skull.

Faith:
The girl looks at the knife, no fear but concern creasing her brow. "Shouldn't we do some kind of ritual, to cleanse and purify my body before I make a mark in dedication to Vildeis?"

Zaine:
The skinny native nods, a wide smile as he starts to head off into the depths of Saventh-Yhi. He looks a little concerned as the *large* dinosaur starts to follow on his heels.

"There was so much chaos after the stars fell to Golarion," the ghostly voice says, "so much death and pointless loss. My work, when I was flesh and blood, was the use of magical inscriptions to enhance the physical properties of my fellow Azlant." The voice chuckes, "To give long life and health, but all of my apprentices fled or died in the chaos. I died near the culmination of my work, heart broken that it would be lost and forgotten."

A chuckle, "The helplessness no doubt gave my spirit a reason to hold on after my mortal coil slipped."

Male Human Cavalier 17

"Yeah, I'm not hungry," Zaine says. He then nods to the gorillas sitting on the people. "And I'd recommend you find something inanimate to sit on before I forget my table manners."

GM:
"Yeah, okay," Zaine says. "I'm not really following, so just tell me what you want."

Male Human Warpriest 17

"King Ruthazek," Faith says, gesturing with his open hands, a stand up to match Zaine's direction. "We are here with a warning. An ancient evil is rising under the city, and it threatens to break like a tidal wave upon the shore. All will be inundated."

Fishing:
"Of course, you must be ready in body and spirit," Faith says. "Do you have a dagger of your own already? This is offered to you as a gift, if you do not."

He thinks for a moment as he packs up his fishing gear. "You should choose a name to be known by as you fight the evil. You may keep the name you have, but Vildeis values sacrifices, and my old name was something I sacrificed for her long ago."

He looks the girl over with a healer's eye. "It is be best if you begin from a place of balance."

He gives the girl a small smile, gentle. "There is no need for a great ritual, but there is always time for small personal ones."

Faith gets to his feet, and stretches his arms, rolling his neck, cracking his back. "Are you ready?"

Something in the scathing words, the steely look, or the sub-audible growl from the large tyrannosaurus, causes one of the advisors to inelegantly roll from the living chair to the ground.  The other two barely manage to maintain their own dignity, one rising.  The gorilla king's eyes narrow at his own people, displeasure at their weakness oozing from his being.

The silverbacked gorilla shifts his attention back to the group, eyes just slightly out of place on the brutish primate face.  A flash of teeth, bringing to mind both a human smirk and a warning barring of teeth, "Not all will be inundated. Only the weak."

He leans back, ignoring both his own humiliated  advisors and the feast he had prepared for guests.  "Which is truly the crux of what brought me here.  Are you weak." He flexes his shoulder, the slight sound of cracking in the bones of his throne.  "The ancient king of Garundi were quite civilized in disputes like this, in order to avoid..." he leans forward, and were he human you'd see the smile grown, "undue bloodshed and destruction."

"Rather than having armies clash and drench the jungle with more blood, matters were settled by determining who was most worthy through contests of strength and skill." The gorilla king leans back again, "Mayhap a contest of strength, another of storytelling and only then one of combat?" His teeth show and stay visible, "If you are as strong and wise as the story purport, you should be able to show yourselves worthy of respect by the first two and we never need delve to base arms."

well, assuming she was able to get "Pack Empathy" up, you would know Áine's not any more concerned then being surrounded by hundreds of mad apes, flying apes, and ape people should make someone in our party.

Áine's eyes slide over Tulips powerful body, before looking to see how Faith would like to handle these "contests".

Male Human Cavalier 17

While waiting for Faith to reply to the three challenges, the dire ape responds to Zaine. "If you are less skilled than the stories purport and it comes to the third test, then I will face one of you in combat." The gorilla king looks at Zaine, then shifts his gaze to Tulip. "I have enough respect to know that you and your fine companion are each a worthy foe in yourself, so I would either be shot by you or bitten by your friend."

"It's a test after all not a true battle."

You can take-10 on the following. You can also use magic or abilities to aid the person making the check.

The gorilla king nods, looking at the single 'advisor' who managed to keep his dignity.  The simian warrior barks, a sound that is picked up and echoes through the jungle around you.  Obviously planned, two humans drag out large bundles of ivory colored bone - one to the throne and another before the group.  Ruthazrek stands, grabbing the bundle holding the ends, bringing it down over a knee, the bones cracking and snapping with the force, breaking the bundle in two.

It is a DC 25 Strength check to break the bundle of femurs.

As the cracking of the bones ends and the Gorilla King settles into his throne, a wiry charau-ka comes from the dark shadows of the jungle behind the throne.  The thump of the staff he uses creates a baseline for the story he tells of a bloody night of violence as the jungle let forth a ranging band of simian warriors to break the walls and the bones of the humans who thought they were safe behind walls in their town.  As the story crescendos to its bloody bitter end, the jungle erupts in hoots, hollars and stomps of approval.

The group can tell as engaging a story as the charau-ka storyteller with a DC35 Perform, Bluff, Diplomacy, or Charisma check.

Male Human Cavalier 17

"Not bad for a bunch of apes," Zaine allows. "Tulip, show them how it's done." He clicks with his tongue, and the rex stalks over to the bundle of bones and easily cracks them in half with her massive jaws. Then she eats them.

"Hope you didn't need those," Zaine smirks. "Now, about this story. You ever hear of Chev of Cheliax? Here's the first time he slew a dragon. Like with most mornings, Chev woke up with the taste of skunky ale on his tongue and a pile of unfamiliar bodies beneath him. Were they vanquished with his fist or his love and did it matter?"

Zaine tells the tale and with assistance from Juliver, succeeds at entertaining the apes.

Male Human Warpriest 17

Faith watches the tale, and is entertained by it. "I'd not heard that one before," he says, nodding. "Though it confirms what I've been told about Cheliax."

The Gorilla King seems more impressed by Tulip's massive strength than the storytelling, but he nods as Chev's story finishes. A small hand gesture and the jungle is broken by the noises of an army breaking camp. "You have won the rights to your city and your war."

As the group leaves, however, Ruthazek's voice rings out with a final warning, "You have won the right to the city, but jungle surrounds all city... jungle eats all who do not belong. When the jungle has finished with you, I will find your bones."

The only hold out in the war effort is Izon, leader of the urdefhan. When Kline goes to hold him to his end of the bargain for killing the turncoat vampire-fiend, the treacherous blood-sucker insists on a gift of 100 slaves to torture and kill before he will pledge his warriors to the cause. Instead, the daemonically touched vampire smirks when he tells Kline that they will sit out the upcoming batter. "Save my troops for the inevitable fight with either you or the snakes."

In the day or two that it takes to prepare people to activate all of the spears of Saventh-Yhi, muster the armies to be ready to descend to the underground city, and decide which of your allies will lead each of the prongs, there is much discussion of your role in the war. It is Aveshai, having fought for years against the serpentfolk, that is the most direct. "The battle to quell the numbers of serpents is important, but more in that it will distract the leadership, spread out their defenses and leave them vulnerable to a commando strike." The ancient general smiles, "I've seen you in combat, I can not think anyone would be more suited to attacking the Sanctum and preventing the rise of their vile god." The cyclops pulls out his sword, offering the hilt to Faith, "I believe this will do far more good for the world in your hands for that mission than in mine while I direct the morlock forces."

If you have any final gear upgrades or purchases, now is the time to utilize your resources and contacts.

Faith takes the sword and examines it. "Perhaps," he says. "I am most adept with the sacred weapon of my goddess, but I will not turn down such a gift unexamined."

um ... yes, I need to finish up Faith's gear upgrades/purchases. It's been too long.

Faith is barely able to get his hand around the hilt of the massive sword. After a too long moment of ridiculous grasping, the large greatsword shrinks, first to a human-sized greatsword, then further until it is the same size as the knives Faith normally uses.

Faith:
In the brief time before the sword begins to change size and shape, you feel a presence slide into your head. After a moment you hear a voice, alto and calm. "For the short term, I think you and I will work well together." A pause, "However, I will need you to give me to someone who will continue to fight against the blasted serpentkin before you move on to toppling tyrants and all the other evils of the world."

"Does that work for you, priest?"

Eroeme is an intelligent +2 mithral monstrous humanoid bane weapon which resizes and reshapes itself to acceptable users. Her powers include 30-ft flight and at will true seeing.

The current suggested plan is that the strike force wait until the spears have been activated, so that you can properly time a teleport spell to the Sanctum of the Serpent God to correlate with the serpentfolk defense responding to the surface attack so that, ideally, you have less defenders between you and the high priest's temple.

For her part, Kassata arranges a huge celebration the night before, because "The best way to fight mean is with a hang over so bad you need to take it out on everyone else."

Áine wears something of a bemused smirk at that, but stays out long enough to down at least a drink or two before turning in only a little later than normal.

Faith nods in approval as the sword resizes itself to fit his hand. "I will give it the serpent-bath it deserves," he says to Aveshai.

Eroeme:
"We have a deal," Faith thinks to the sword. "Let us deal them a terrible blow while we are aligned."

At the party, Faith is cheerful. "I prefer to fight with a clear head," he says to Kassata. "Such a path is not for everyone," he shrugs, taps his nose, and laughs.

As the cartographers overlay Saventh-Yhi over the serpentfolk city miles below, they determine that the spears are directly above the each of the six passages deeper into the Darklands and the Fortress of Thousand Fangs. With the vegepygmies already positioned to move directly down to one of the two Serpent Gates and the boggards to the ignored gate in the Urdefhan section of the city, your mixed forces of pirates, pathfinders and people of the Sacred Serpent are split between the governmental spear on the island which leads to the slightly depopulated Fortress and the military spear which leads to the second serpentgate. The group is welcome to wait where they wish, since the plan is for Pakshee to teleport them to the Sanctum of the Serpent God just as their small army pour into Ilmurea.

From their vantage, you first see the spear on the island light up, the spear of light visible even in the bright day. Normally, each spear deactivates when another spear is activated, but Kline and the pathfinders - with some advise from Avenshi - were able to determine that the spear can be 'locked' in the active form. So then you see the spears of light appear in order from Temple District to Mercantile District to Residential District to Farming District to Artisan District and finally the Military District.

As the Spear of Righteous Anger is activated, a deep rumbling sound echoes across Saventh-Yhi, originating beneath the city’s seven spears — the pillars of Azlanti virtue. Stone blocks slide outward from the base of each ziggurat, forming large gaps that issue forth long-dead air and billowing clouds of dust and debris. As one, the spears begin slowly turning and descending into the earth. Violent tremors shake the city, causing some buildings to collapse into rubble, and birds to rise noisily into the air in huge flocks, fleeing the devastation. The spears rotate faster as they disappear beneath the earth, but the sound and fury of their descent continue to shake the foundations of the city.

Each of the spears bores into the ground like giant drills leaving 40-ft wide 'corkscrew' ledges which provide a comfortable pathway for an army to march into the underground city. Once the process starts, some quick calculations determine it will take a half-hour for the drills to work the mile of solid rock, the armies able to safly follow just behind.

The group is able to teleport to cavern niche where they can observe the Sanctum just before the invasion begins. Even before the final appearance of the ancient Azlanti weapons, you can see the serpentfolk were warned of their coming by might tremors and the thrum through the rock. Fortunately for the group, that means most of the forces have been dispersed throughout the serpent-folk controlled part of the city. Leaving the Sanctum less guarded than Aine noted when she did an invisible recon of the building.

With a resounding crack, the seven spears burst through the ceiling of Ilmurea’s cavern, emerging in explosions of rocky debris that rain down upon the city, crushing several structures below. A powerful flare of energy engulfs the spears, and each one glows as brightly as a miniature star, piercing the dark to cast long shadows over the landscape below.

In your smaller cavern, you see open field of jagged, rubble-strewn rock. The carved likenesses of two immense serpent heads loom on the northern wall as if ready to strike. Fangs and serrated teeth create sharp, crenellated battlements within their open mouths, and huge watchfires illuminate their baleful, unblinking eyes. Between these two behemoths runs a twenty-foot-wide passageway barred by an immense gate, while another identical entrance lies farther to the east.

Curled near one of the main entrances into the Sanctum is a huge serpentine creature (marked by the red S on the map). Each of the ledges flanking that entrance are guarded by a pair of serpentfolk guards (marked by the green S on the map).

"Shall I assume we're using the direct approach for maximum speed this time around?" Áine asks after surveying the field, "or do you want me to see what they've left behind first?". And assuming it's the former, she begins casting spells with minutes per level duration, having already cast her longer duration spells.
She will cast Animal Growth on Tulip from a wand just before they head into the breach. 7 minute duration

"I guess I'll take out the flanking serpents...or would you rather ignore them?"

"If we don't take them out, someone else will have to. Besides, I kind of want to kill that big one." Zaine nudges Tulip forward and takes aim at the big monster.

Round 1?:

Animal Growth on Tulip means +8 STR, +4 CON, -2 DEX, and raises her size one level up from Large. Not sure where that is. At 80' away, she doesn't get an attack this turn anyway, but Zaine does. Whatever bonus he would get from shooting the big snake is not factored in.

Initiative Tulip 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

"Wonder what it is?" Áine asks herself as much as anyone else, staring at the huge serpentine creature. "Just a snake or something else?" she pauses, then inquires "going to go for Haste this combat or save it for later on?"

is the serpentine creature a big snake or something more? can she identify it?

Before entering the breach, Faith gives Bull's Strength to Tulip. 16 minute duration

He does not need Quieting Weapons.

He has Shield of Faith and Sacred Armor +4 (+3 light fortification) up as well (same duration). He grins at his companions. "To the snakes' long-overdue deaths," he says cheerfully.

"I plan on saving Haste for later," he says to Áine. "But I may change my mind."

Faith moves toward the closest living target. (dbl move)

"Die soon," is his sincere request.

Sasha slips down to the floor of the cavern and sprints across the rock towards the huge monster, both blades ready.

"Oh!" Juliver says, "That's a thysslahydra." Louder, "It can spit acid!" Bardic +3

Zaine calls out, "Hey, you big worm! You're all mine!"
That's a challenge

And it's quickly followed by a shot from the musket. The bullet slams into the reptian, multi-headed snake creature. It hisses in pain but the damage is minor to the massive creature.

Pakshee uses her flight to advance towards the closer pair of serpentfolk, ready to curse them when they attack Faith.

Huge Tulip charges across the open cavern.
