Good morning! I plan to finish up Primrose today and I'll be ready for some introductory roleplay if the GM allows it.

GM - Do you have any qualms with Prim coming ashore on a supply vessel and getting to know everyone while you catch up?

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

That's totally fine, yeah! Please do, honestly, it'll help get us moving along when I'm ready and that's not something that I really need to adjudicate.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Primrose has arrived, let the party begin.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

A special thank you to Tettia Tettia Tuditanus for getting me to the village and introduced!

I dabble in 3D modeling and created Prim today. I created the scene where she introduced herself on the beach to Tettia. Laddies and gentlemen, I give you Primrose.

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Wow, dabble is a bit of an understatement there. I probably shouldn't have opened that at work, though >_<

Also, Tettia, enjoy your new cabin! I'll get caught up sooner than later. I'm in the middle of moving right now so my only reading time is before I go to bed at night right now. Nevertheless, should be caught up sooner than later.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Whaaatt? She's totally clothed in this picture!

Oh and I think I'm moving in with Tettia it seems.

This is Prim giving Prince Wallace a kiss.

Smooch

GM, sending you a ping!

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Alrighty dokie, some updates from me! I did some reading this weekend to start catching myself up and have put together a couple of things. I haven't looked through your game in detail quite yet, mostly just things as written in the books. So, for now, I'm setting the party at 40,000 experience points.

Additionally (again, haven't looked through the gameplay thread in great detail quite yet), I have set the date to Starday, 30 Rova 4717. If there is an existing date that this does not line up with please let me know and I will adjust it.

The campaign as written gets right into gear the morning following the day of the fire, so we'll just go with the day after today in-game. Please let me know if there is anything wrong with what I've got here / any comments, requests, etc.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Thanks for the update GM! Looking forward to getting rolling.

I'm the new guy, so please tell me to stick-it if I'm out of place here. Were you guys using XP before? If not, GM have you considered using the the milestone approach? I've become a huge fan of this these last few years and have found it much easier than tracking experience points!

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

We've been doing milestones, I'm fairly sure, but if WG wants to do XP it's now their game :P

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Like I said, I have no problem with whatever the GM wants! I was just curious what was used and if the GM considered the alternate approach is all :)

Female Human Wizard (Universalist) 3 | HP 26 | AC 16 | Fort +7 Ref +6 Will +8 | Perc +6 | Hero Point: 2/3 || Familiar (Wallace) AC 16 | HP 15

I have no doubt that GM Niko was using milestones, but if GMWG wants to use XP then I won't argue.

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

So I have used both milestones and experience in the past. I prefer using experience as a GM both because I'm a neurotic mess and because I like for you guys to have some sort of indicator on my end of how far along you are towards leveling up. I keep an individual spreadsheet for every campaign I run with each experience granting event, the date in game, planned encounter changes, plot deviations, etc.

That all being said, if the party prefers milestones we can run with milestones. I personally like the added encounter difficulty from that patch where you're briefly a level behind because of splitting for a five person group, but again, I would much rather do whatever is going to make the group happiest/most comfortable.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

No, please don't switch on my accord. I was simply curious, that's all!

I look forward to using XP for the first time in ages then!

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

I prefer milestone as a GM, but if you like XP, I'm fine with that (especially if you're tracking it!).

I'm good with starting the next book the day after the fire. I sort of advanced us into that day, but obviously we can retcon that. :)

I still need to level up Aurelian, but will try to get to that ASAP. Maybe tomorrow?

Chelaxian Bloodrager 8

I got Sarine's level up done.

Sarine Bloodrager 7
HP: +6 base (rolled earlier) +2 Constitution +1 favored class
Skill Ranks: Acrobatics 1, Intimidate 1, Perception 1, Survival 1, Swim 1
Background Skill Ranks: Perform(Oratory) 2
Unchained Bloodrage: +2 rounds/day
Special Qualities: DR 1/--
Level 2 Spells Known: False Life, See Invisibility

Demon Cat Familiar 7
HP: +2
Intelligence: +1 (sage familiar archetype)
Skill Ranks: Knowledge (Geography) 1, Knowledge (Nobility) 1

*

That's something that might be good for Primrose and our GM to know. Sarine's familiar has both the Figment archetype and the Sage archetype, which means we have a secondary bardic knowledge-style feature hanging around. It didn't mean much initially, but Sarine can talk to her familiar now so I'll be throwing some Knowledge checks with it that Sarine herself can't make here and there.

Chelaxian Bloodrager 8

Without meaning at all to rush our GM, I think the RP stalled since we don't know if we can do the things we're doing?

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Huh, I had dotted it to keep track in case we ran into a roadblock but for some reason I haven't gotten new posts on my campaign page. I'll catch myself up and see if I can help with that, sorry!

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Might just be easier to ask you guys real quick: what is the last you knew about the status of Ramona Avandth?

Chelaxian Bloodrager 8

We saw Ramona on the night of the faceless stalker attack when we got back to Talmandor's Bounty. After we saw her, we got involved at the bay & elsewhere, but haven't seen her since. We did not see a stalker using her face.

I'm pretty sure that is right.

Edit: I'm on my phone & can't do links, but last Ramona sightings can be found on page 46 of Gameplay with GM post dates of September 4, 8 & 9... in that range.

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

That sounds right to me.

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

OK, level up: Swashbuckler 7

hp: 1d10 ⇒ 3 Half+1 is better, so +6 hp +2 Con (+8 total). GM< let us know if we want to change hp generation methods.

+1 BAB, +1 Nimble, +deeds

+1 feat: Inexplicable luck: Once per day, as a free action before a roll is made, you gain a +8 bonus on any single d20 roll. You can also use this ability after the roll is made, but if you do, this bonus is reduced to +4.

+6 skill ranks: +1 Acrobatics, Bluff, Intimidate, Perception, Sense Motive, Swim

+FCB: 1/4 panache

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Though Prim can hold her own and is not completely incompetent with a blade in her hand, her first and second choices will not be to engage in combat directly. She will be thrusting the flag Talmandor's Bounty high into the air and vocally encouraging her allies through song and dance.

Her spell list is composed about 40% of water-related spells, hopefully some of those come in handy someday. She has a few other nifty tricks up her magical sleeves as well.

Looking forward to getting going!

Oookay, that definitely helps. I *should* be able to at least get some roleplay moving pretty soon here. I'm mostly caught up in the books at this point.

Female Human Wizard (Universalist) 3 | HP 26 | AC 16 | Fort +7 Ref +6 Will +8 | Perc +6 | Hero Point: 2/3 || Familiar (Wallace) AC 16 | HP 15

So, is Jenner being replaced? Did he take Leadership and this fellow is his cohort? Or ...?

Inquiring minds want to know. :) :)

Chelaxian Bloodrager 8

I am similarly confused by this development.

N Undine Druid | AC 25 - HP 84/84| F+9 R+8 W+11 | Per +16 | Cold Resist 10

Hehe, sorry for the confusion. Geez, allow me my brief air of mystery! :P

Basically, I'm just not feeling super inspired by Jenner right now-- a lot of the bulk of what was fun to play about him in the party was his interactions with Ashlyn/Elizar, which he had a lot of compared to the other PCs (not anyone's fault there but my own!). With losing Ashlyn as a PC, and also losing Alba in game, I just realized I had no particular interest in playing Jenner's long-term reactions to Alba and the other missing people, and trying to restart interactions with the rest of the party also felt a little daunting. I asked our GM if he'd be open to me bringing in a different character, since this seemed a good natural point for a swap if so, and he was kind enough to allow me to pitch him this new character.

Jenner can fade out as an NPC, as I assume Ashlyn will as well. Zay's a druid so a lot of the same areas Jenner covered will still be covered in terms of wisdom skills, healing, etc.

Zay's full sheet is coming soon, but a short pre-emptive: while I envision Zay as being genderfluid, neither Zay, nor me, will be offended if anyone either ICly or OOCLy refers to Zay as he or she.

Female Human Wizard (Universalist) 3 | HP 26 | AC 16 | Fort +7 Ref +6 Will +8 | Perc +6 | Hero Point: 2/3 || Familiar (Wallace) AC 16 | HP 15

I'll be sad to see Jenner go, but happy to accept Zay as his replacement. :)

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

Enjoying your character is key. I've switched on at least one occasion on PBP and if it keeps you in the game, that's the thing to do.

N Undine Druid | AC 25 - HP 84/84| F+9 R+8 W+11 | Per +16 | Cold Resist 10

Yeah, I'm fond of Jenner but I just feel like I'm kind of stuck with him and not finding a lot of fun quirks to play off of others just now. But Zay is quirkful as anything. :P

GM: I'm sure you already saw it, but I'm just linking the feat house rules here for a refresher, but they are back on the first page as well in the first post. House Rules for Feat Taxes

Of course, if any of those are changing, do let us know.

N Undine Druid | AC 25 - HP 84/84| F+9 R+8 W+11 | Per +16 | Cold Resist 10

HP while I remember to do it, per the house rules: 6d8 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 7, 8, 2) = 24

So most of those round up to 5s, and the 7 and 8 stand.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Hey GM, just checking in. How are things progressing? Do you have a tentative start date for us to get the ball rolling?

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Some IRL stuff has slowed me down a bit, but I think I'm nearly ready to get the ball rolling. The campaign is mine, now, so that will make throwing new maps in and such much easier for me. Just trying to get all caught up so that I don't accidentally contradict what's already happened.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

No worries, just wanted to touch base with you. Take whatever time you need! Do you mind if we keep roleplaying? Is that going to mess up the story/AP ? I know some players were concerned events were supposed to transpire the morning following the attack and our antics would mess things up.

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Feel free to keep going, I'll make it work. Just try to keep it all within the same day. Hopefully I'll have something for you soon enough for that not to be a new roadblock.

Female Human Wizard (Universalist) 3 | HP 26 | AC 16 | Fort +7 Ref +6 Will +8 | Perc +6 | Hero Point: 2/3 || Familiar (Wallace) AC 16 | HP 15

Yeah, Tettia still thinks Primrose's finger technique is abominable and she's trying to show her a better method.

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Speaking of finger techniques, I've been doing and RPG consent checklist for other groups that I GM here on the forums. We can do that for this group if you guys want, though judging by the game thus far I don't know that there's any issue with "adult" content.

Female Human Wizard (Universalist) 3 | HP 26 | AC 16 | Fort +7 Ref +6 Will +8 | Perc +6 | Hero Point: 2/3 || Familiar (Wallace) AC 16 | HP 15

It probably wouldn't hurt. I have a feeling that I know what the finished list would look like.

Personally, I'd like to see it as well. I should offer that on my games.

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Thank you GM.

Whatever the highest checkbox level for the least restricted content is, that's where you find me. I like my games gritty, matture, and unfiltered but I have absolutely not problems adjusting to whatever level everyone is comfortable with here. I do not want to offend or upset anyone at all. Please let me know where the bar is! :D

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Alrighty, one interested party is more than enough for me. Let me get a fresh one ready and I'll PM you all a link.

RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

I'm fairly sure I'm fine with all content as well, as a player. (I.e, character opinions may be different. Though probably not for Zay. Jenner might have been more conservative. But no longer a concern!)

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

Alright, I sent everyone a link to the checklist. Please let me know if you did not get one!

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

While I'm thinking about it: what time of day are each of you usually able to post and in what timezone?

Female Human Bard/7 | HP: 36/52 | AC: 16 FF: 14 T: 12 | F: +2*, R: +7*, W: +5* | Bardic Performance: 26/26 | Init: +6 | Perception: +10 | Spells - L1: 5/5, L2: 7/7, L3: 2/2

Eastern Daylight Time for me.

Posting depends on the day. I'm generally available most days at most times for a quick post, but mornings and evenings are my most free. Usually I post a bunch 700-900 in the morning and 1700-2300 in the evening.

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

Right now, I typically try to post during the day (EST) or if I can't get to it somewhere between 7-10 p.m.

That said, I think there's a strong likelihood I'll be moving back to a second shift schedule (3-11 p.m. or so?). In that case, I'll be posting mostly from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., I'd guess. Not sure how much I'd be able to post in the evening.

Male human swashbuckler 9 |HP: 81 AC: 24 (16 Tch, 19 Fl) | CMB: +13, CMD: 25 (27 vs. disarm) | F: +4, R: +9, W: +2 | Init: +3 or +5 | Perc: +6, SM +5, Bluff +13, Dip +11 | Speed 30 ft. | Panache: 5| Active conditions: None.

I'm generally fine with most things, as I noted on the sheet. To clarify, I don't really want to see us writing in-depth torture scenes or whatnot, but I'm fine if we burst into the bad guys' place and find evidence of torture or an NPC tells us they were tortured and we get to go get vengeance.

--

I've noted before, but I'll note again that Aurelian's obviously very sexualized, and plays a lot with double entendres. If I make anyone uncomfortable with him, please let me know and I'll dial him back.

Experience 47,280/51,000 | Level 7 | #123: The Flooded Cathedral | Part 1: The Sodden Trail | Day 1 (Sunday, 1 Lamashan 4717)

To clarify I will say that I personally take the stance that potentially offensive/triggering content should be used as much as needed and not any more, so that is the way that I tend to GM. Now when it comes to double entendre and the like I (personally) don't mind it at all, it's part of the fun! As long as anything that goes further than implication is between two consenting adults the depiction doesn't bother me whatsoever. When it comes to in-combat matters I usually like to throw in some flair for killing moves and the like because I know that it is very satisfying to know your enemy is very dead.

Now, that being said, I'll abide whatever the strictest reported response is for the way the I present the content as written. If for some reason there were a rather vivid description of torture in the book I may spare the details and skip to the state of the person after the fact, for instance.
