The Frostfur Captives has a few travel encounters (and some terrible goblin escortees).

I was under the impression that we were pretty good at everything. But maybe my review mirror is rose colored.
I'm looking forward to starting. Hopefully our other game can end soon... some people aren't posting and its slowing it to a crawl... that and some high ac, dr, and hp regenerating mobs that just don't want to die... its like Rise of the Runelords all over again.
| GM Hmm |
I am finally building Cup. She's somewhat obsessed over Knowledge Planes. Are there any knowledges we're lacking? Any potential strengths?
Mr. Peppers
|
Mr Peppers has many Knowledges and will at some point be getting a point in each to be 'well read'. But he focuses on Arcana, and has most of the monster Knowledges covered I think. Sirettis I remember having a good K: History. I think some others popped up.
Mr. Peppers
|
Ummmm we never had any locks to deal with in Sky Key so I don't know... Bishop did locks this time but he'll be on Uesugi the Samurai instead.
GM Red
|
Your GM in that other game looks to be a little bot resistant, Mr. P. :) That's okay though, it's only Tuesday and from the looks of it, that one creature is down from Uesugi's CDG.
You hear that, Bot Buddy? He doesn't like your kind!
Sirettis
|
Sirettis plans to focus on Knowledge History, Local and Nobility. She'll probably grab 1 rank of K. Nature as well since it's in class.
Bah, 2 skill points per level! Probably the biggest deterrent from me playing a Cleric. At least Wizards and Witches have crazy high Int.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Lol I'll make a roll for Gallix tonight. As for travelling good it's time I take the steed out for a ride she's been in the stable far too long.
For locks isn't that what you arcane types are for?
Mr. Peppers
|
If you drop that grand on the partial knock wand I'll be happy to swing it for you :) My prepared spells list is so short I'll never be able to keep that one prepped. There is an exploit for that problem but I've already got enough of those in mind... Time to get an adamantine sword I guess.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Don't look at me for lock picking. I may be grey in my morals, but not one to do that.
I shoot sand at it until a door breaks down.
I am looking forward to throwing or lifting of heavy objects...the potential of it.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
lol you wont pick a lock but you will destroy property and then enter unlawfully?
Definitely GREY!
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Oh... but i was speaking about doors in general.
Plus, i'm N. ;)
I could aim for the locks instead, leave the door in 1 piece.
Unless the GM rules it as part of it.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Well as a samurai Uesugi is bound to the Society sooo if it means getting the job done than knocking down a door will have to do. And Bishop well I shouldn't have to tell you what he'd do.
Mr. Peppers
|
Ya, In Service to Lore. Its on my list to pick up at some point but I spent 1k on a cloak of res +1 before this last game so I'm still pretty broke.
The Arcane is a full time job so no day job $$.
GM Red
|
I think it would depend on what attack is used.
I could envision how an actual "bullet of sand" could target a lock itself, but the sand bullet is flavor. The attack is kinetic blast, which to me, seems like it would damage a lot more than just a lock.
... Not that it matters because I imagine Gallix and Uesugi will have no problem door smashing.
On an unrelated note, I thought for a moment that running a 3 chapter module was ambitious, and now I see D/Chyrone has been running the entirety of Season 1... And I just saw someone recruiting for BOTH the entire season 5 and 6 on the recruitment board. Perhaps not so ambitious after all. :)
Mr. Peppers
|
Its still ambitious! But I think we'll move through it at a good pace, making it much more fun. At least that's how I'm seeing it :)
Oh! I just remembered a good item to buy that will help some with our lock picking :)
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Ambitious nope. We just take breaks when necessary. Gaming with like minded people makes you want to play. As long as we have motivation it's never ambitious.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
Well i'm not even half way, Red.
Though with something as long term planned as a season run, there's bound to be drop outs. The more difficult thing is getting new recruits who haven't played what you've left, or only partially.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Gallix and Uesugi had a slight delay with the boat ride back to Absalom. We should arrive by Fireday according to my sources. :)
Let's get this game started!!!
Sir D. Arthraven
|
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
What was that, you want me to set fire as well as unlocking a door?
Oh wait...nevermind.
GM Red
|
Perfect. We'll need to wait for Cup to be ready too and Blaster did say his activity will be lacking up until the weekend. How does a Friday start sound? We can of course do some preliminary stuff before then like persuading you guys into traveling towards Isger.
Sir D. Arthraven
|
I admit i've still to review D.'s finances.
But i'll likely only make some minor purchases anyway.
Mr. Peppers
|
I'd ready to start whenever. I'll hold off on making any more purchases until I know a bit more about our next mission.
Sirettis
|
I'm ready.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Once all dialogue is complete over on the Kuey's game I shall be ready. Gallix should be back today I think. He is going to have lots of text to read!
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
WELCOME BACK BUDDY! Lol our adventures are too funny.
P.S. Go make your move for Ezren the crippled in our Core game...I swear one of us is following the other!!! It's probably me following you hehe

Man I'm glad I tried to keep up with some of that reading over the weekend while I was gone. Thank you all for your patience while I was away. Had a death in the family sadly. Back now, though, and ready to do some posting.
To answer a few of the questions that came up recently:
I don't have Gallix's build totally planned out, but I am definitely considering the Outslug Style feats from Weapon Master's Handbook. Basically makes an already insane beat-em-up character into a super mobile insane beat-em-up character. I'd also like to pick up Greater Dirty Trick at some point so I can extend some of those debuffs and get a bit more variety in Gallix's utility. I may also pick up Improved Feint to take advantage of Gallix's high bluff skill.
As far as knowledges, I probably will put one point into Kn. History so I can take advantage of that boon from Sky Key Solution and call it quits from there. Most of my skill points will be going toward social skills. It also wouldn't be totally out of character for him to have Disable Device so he can pick some locks. He wasn't exactly a law-abiding citizen growing up in Cheliax. Hence his mother shipping him off to Jalmeray. Otherwise there's always the possibility of an adamantine cestus...
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Sorry to hear that Gallix. Apologies for my focus on the game during this time instead of on you and your family.
Mr. Peppers
|
My condolences. I hope you were at least able to spend some quality time with family at the celebration of life.
GM Red
|
Welcome back Gallix and sorry to hear about the sad news.
I'll be posting into Gameplay to set the stage with the goal of actually starting the adventure in a few days if Cup and Blaster are also ready.
Sirettis
|
I'm sorry about your loss Gallix. Please take your time.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
Thanks for your sympathies, everyone. It was a pretty rough weekend, but it always brought a smile to check in on the threads and read up on all the ridiculousness over here.
I'm excited to get Gallix back with the rest of the Red Arm gang. I think he and Cup will quickly become friends, if for no other reason than their shared love of agitating Peppers.
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Entertaining meet up I like the shooing Cup away Peppers HAHAH! Need more.
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne
|
I don't know how you feel about it, Uesugi, but I was thinking about holding off Gallix's entrance until we get the official word that we've completed our mission on Jalmeray. Could be another day or two of lurking for me.
I'll just sit back and enjoy the mayhem in the meantime. Haha
Uesugi Hideyoshi
|
Yeah I'm waiting for the official word as well :)
Watching these three is funny. Hmm is such a great addition to hijinks associated with this group.
Cup
|
BTW, finishing up purchasing Cup's gear, and then I'll update her sheet with everything.
GM Red
|
You still have a few days, so no rush.
By the way, Hmm, when you create a Google presentation, is there any way to set the default slide? When I ran 7-10, every time I loaded the presentation, it would default to the third slide and so I (and maybe others?) constantly had to switch to the correct one once loaded, and it would reset when I closed it. I'm not sure if this was just a problem on my end though.
| GM Hmm |
Huh. I have NO idea. I never set the default slide, or even noticed that there was one! It always opened on the first slide for me.
Hmm
GM Red
|
That'll work. In that case, I'll always make the current map the first slide.
Sirettis
|
Yeah, I usually move other slides to the bottom of the presentation when I'm done with them.
| GM Hmm |
Heh. I keep them in story order and just tell everyone what number slide we're on.
Hmm
Mr. Peppers
|
Please let me know Hmm if I go over any lines with Cup. I'm trying to toe the line between nice and only slightly rude but highly dismissive.. while staying true to LG. I'm sure he'll warm up to her eventually... maybe? I have a hard time playing a rude ass of a character... this guy originally was going to be intimidating but I changed my mind after playing a mission or two. His avatar however still shows that side though lol.
