Unfortunately, Sādhanā can't seem to make heads or tails out of the writing. She does notice that the chest cannot be opened via traditional means.

Female Half-elf Druid 14/Hierophant 3 HP 123/130; AC 20, FF 19, Touch 11; Perception +30, Init +8; Fort: +12 (+5 vs cold weather), Ref: +6, Will: +16

Tesia goes over to the chest and looks at it again, though she shifts her vision to detect the magical auras that might or might not be present.

Cast Detect magic

Female Aasimar Warpriest 12; Mythic tier 3rd (Marshal); HP: 102/102; AC: 25(28), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +5, Fort: +12, Ref: +7, Will: +15; Perception: +9

Holding up the severed head that she enclosed in his shirt she says, "This is just a precaution in case we have trouble convincing the trouble makers that we killed him."

The chest glows brightly, revealing two auras. One seems to be a deadly trap and one controls the opening of the chest.

Female Half-elf Druid 14/Hierophant 3 HP 123/130; AC 20, FF 19, Touch 11; Perception +30, Init +8; Fort: +12 (+5 vs cold weather), Ref: +6, Will: +16

She puts out a hand to keep Sadhana from getting too close to the chest, "Wait....there's a deadly magical trap on it of some sort and another kind of magic that opens the chest. I don't know if it's worth the risk to try and open it. We've come too far to lose someone to an inanimate object." She says sounding a little nervous.

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

At Tesia's warning, Sādhanā halts. "If we can diasable the trap I can probably force it to work by 'tricking' the spell." she says thoughtfully

Female Half-elf Druid 14/Hierophant 3 HP 123/130; AC 20, FF 19, Touch 11; Perception +30, Init +8; Fort: +12 (+5 vs cold weather), Ref: +6, Will: +16

Letting out a little sigh she looks at the magus, "I just...we've come this far and I don't want to risk something really bad happening to one of us...or all of us because of idle curiosity. Do you really think it's worth it? If you really really think it might be important....then I guess we can try....I just don't want to risk anyone unnecessarily." She says as she still sounds a little leery of the idea of opening a literal death trap.

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

Sādhanā considers the situation in silence for a bit. "There are spells that can unravel magic like the spells used in this trap. I know a variant version that specifically lets me steal an active spell from someone else, but the more traditional versions could eliminate the trap altogether."

Nudge, nudge, wink, wink

Male Dhampir Investigator (Psychic Detective) 12/Archmage 3 /\/\ Init: +6 | HP: 76/76 | AC: 21 | FF: 17 | Tch: 17 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +13 | Will: +12 | +2 vs Disease / Mind-Affecting, +4 Ref vs Traps, +4 vs Psychic Spells / SLA | Perc: +17 (+6 vs Traps)

I presume you mean me Sādhanā?

Overhearing the discussion of what to do with the box, Drago moved over to the Druid and Magus. "Perhaps I can offer some assistance?" Stepping toward the box, he then said, "You may wish to move back a little."

Once the two women were at a safe distance, the Summoner focused and cast his spell while again tapping into cosmic reservoir of power.

This might be overkill, but I do it anyway.

Mythic Dispel Magic to end both effects: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Doubt that worked. Let's see if I die or not.

I would use mythic bless to 're roll that and surge it as well. It hasn't been that long since the fight so it should still be in effect.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 12; Mythic tier 3rd (Marshal); HP: 102/102; AC: 25(28), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +5, Fort: +12, Ref: +7, Will: +15; Perception: +9

You're allowed to roll twice for that anyways and take the higher result. Didn't you read the description?

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

So you basically have 3 shots with Mythic Bless.

I only roll twice if I'm trying to Counter a spell being cast.

Mythic Dispel Magic (Take 2 per Mythic Bless): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

That's better.

EDIT: Again Sarenrae's intervention has saved my ass. No wonder I converted. Lol.

The chest flashes as the spell disappears and it creaks open.

Female Half-elf Druid 14/Hierophant 3 HP 123/130; AC 20, FF 19, Touch 11; Perception +30, Init +8; Fort: +12 (+5 vs cold weather), Ref: +6, Will: +16

Still feeling a bit hesitant she takes an involuntary step back from the chest.

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

Sādhanā turns to look at Drago for a moment, both surprised and impressed. "That's a good idea actually, you should all probably take a few steps back." she says stepping up to the chest, her skin still possessing it's marble outer shell.

Female Half-elf Druid 14/Hierophant 3 HP 123/130; AC 20, FF 19, Touch 11; Perception +30, Init +8; Fort: +12 (+5 vs cold weather), Ref: +6, Will: +16

Nodding she takes Rhy's hand and gently pulls her back to a safe distance with her.

Ummmm....are you opening it? Are we the most paranoid people on the face of the planet? Lol

Yeah just busy at work.

Taking a deep breath, Sādhanā opens the chest.

...AND FINDS A MEDUSA'S SEVERED HEAD....ha ha...already stone..lol

Inside the chest is several yellowed papers and a round aquamarine object.

You crazy....I was thinking nickle mags, or underwear collection from conquests. Lol

Looking into the chest, Sādhanā chants a spell under her breath, splintering off a fraction of her will to carefully pick up the object.

Unseen servant, pick up aquamarine object

The unseen servant picks up the aquamarine orb, which is about the size of a small dog. A black circle appears and expands, giving the object the appearance of an eye.

Female Gnome Rogue 13; Mythic Tier 3rd (Trickster) HP: 115/115; AC: 26, FF: 19, T: 17; Fort: +8, Ref: +16, Will +7 (+4 vs fear); Perception: +19; Init: +8

"What is that thing?" Ylrhea asks.

Detect Magic

Sādhanā takes a step back, shifting her vision into the arcane spectrum as she does, her eyes blaze with intensity as the studies the orb.

Knowledge Arcana: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 20 = 37

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40

The "eye" shifts its focus to Sādhanā as she detects magic. She is nearly blinded by the intensity of the magical aura of the object.

Make a DC 15 Will Save, Sādhanā, or be blinded for 1d6 ⇒ 5 minutes.

Bringing Sienna Back:
Kaplan looks to the tiefling. "So anything else we need to do to help you bring back Sienna?"

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

Will: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11

"@#$%" Sādhanā swears staggering back. "Damn." she mutters squinting at the spectacularly powerful magical entity/device.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 12; Mythic tier 3rd (Marshal); HP: 102/102; AC: 25(28), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +5, Fort: +12, Ref: +7, Will: +15; Perception: +9

First take a breath and roll again. Mythic Bless. You're welcome. Lol

Surge if you have to and don't forget the extra +1

She used the bless on a fort save.

Oh...uhoh...well, there's still the +1, if she gets lucky on a surge she could make it.

Bringing Sexy back:

"My plan was to use a calling and ask for assistance from an outsider that can travel great distances. The problem is most of the ones I know of can't bring others along with them when they do that." Fae explains to Kaplan.

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

And only a 40% chance on a d6 of succeeding. For the cost of one of the 3 mytic points I have left And I still plan on fighting an inevitable today.

BSB:
"It seems that Eldan fellow is going to Nicae," Kaplan says. "Perhaps we can send him there and create a beacon to bring Sienna back in return. Unless you have another idea."

You need a 4, 5 or 6. Isn't that a 50% chance?

Female Human (Anizari) Female Human (Anizari) Magus (Bladebound) 14 : Mythic tier 4th (Champion ); HP: 160/160; AC:34 FF:30, T:15; Init:+5, Fort: +12, Ref: +6, Will: +10; Perception:+4(+6)

You're right. Here goes nothing.

Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Woohoo! Edited my post

YAY!! I knew you could do it!!

Her mythic power preventing her from going blind, Sādhanā studies the orb. It is unlike anything she's ever seen. She determines it is probably intelligent and has very powerful evocation and conjuration auras about it.

"Hello can you understand me?" she asks the orb, first in common, then Draconic as she dismisses her detection spell.

BSB:
"I think Tesia talked about a ship," Kaplan says. "However, I think we can find a mage to help that along instead. The Green Circle had a series of gates to facilitate getting to 'trouble spots'. I believe they may still work."

"I understand, spellcaster," the orb answers, speaking into Sādhanā's mind.

BSB:
"Alright," Kaplan says. "We'll need to talk to Rivell about using the gate."
