I don't remember one either, we had the lesser resto potions and healing potions that was about it.

Innis |

Pushing the smell out of her mind for the moment, Merelda will finsh fishing her waterskin out of her pack and will rush back towards the remaining fiery entity. She will toss it into the air at the creature then slash the bag with her rapier as it approaches the thing.
Hopefully that is enough to splash the creature well. It's just regular water however, but I'm really hoping they are vulnerable!
don't you have space now to just ray it, since it wants BBQ'ed Dwarf?

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Sorry Kirzon/Innis, but I m playing a hunch. I'm hoping the water will do more than the pitiful 1d6 I can spray with the cantrip. If I even hit with it, there's the chance I won't even do enough to distract it, much less finish it off.
If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to step up and give Kirzon all my healing potions.

Innis |

Hey no need to apologize I'm fine rolling with this killing things is your expertise I'm just here to keep ppl around till you do. My statement was mostly out of curiosity.
Also starting to regret not memorizing magic weapon today.

GM Aumakua |

As an aside I reached out to Him via PM but didn't hear back. Hopefully he is just resting up and will return soon.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

GM, things are getting pretty tough without Him, you may have to just Bot him for now so we can get our primary melee person back into the game here.

GM Aumakua |

ACK BOT play!!!! I'll consider it be wary of your actions <smiles at the burnt inquisitor>

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

(Snarky but humorous comment follows) Yes! I went up the stairs and into a room! I should be ashamed and wary of such drastic actions in the future. I should be sure to let the weakest go first next time so they can absorb more of the damage first, before I have to deal with any of it.
(End snarky comment.)
Got it! Mind if I smoke...?
=)

Innis |

He'd probably leap heroically into the fray finding that he can not hurt these things through conventional means would opt to shield the ladies from harm (full defensive) while they plink away at the creature.
The most important part about playing Him'Wazir is he HAS TO quip. No matter what he does or how (in)effective it may be.
it's only 1 flame creature he is probably to impatient to use the magic weapon vial.
Aside: we are technically back in town we might have a chance to resupply before moving onto the next adventure location.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Aside: we are technically back in town we might have a chance to resupply before moving onto the next adventure location.
That would be nice, but we will have to wait and see. We will probably have to avoid the local watch as well, just in case, and that could make staying above-ground until this is over a bit tricky.

Innis |

The man got put down by a hysterical gnome i'm sure shame is a good motivator for keeping a tight lip. Though Him'Wazir might have earned reason for vengeance.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

What? We are completely out of channeled energy, healing potions, holy water, healing spells...all of that that can harm undead? All we have is my little cantrip spell?
We are so boned then.

GM Aumakua |

You have the Nicias potion of magic weapon he keeps mentioning

Innis |

sorry i should have said reliable dmg, we can toss potions it but only nic has anything near good aim, nvr had holy water, & i have few channels left, and touching a creature made of fire is nvr a good idea i could touch it then get punched in the face and i'll fall like a sack of bricks

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Well, anybody who can't help directly can always try and help indirectly in some way(Aid Another: +AC?). Let's get to it and destroy this thing. I got some Revengin' to get done.

Gavmania |

I still have my last raining arrow (the last time I tried to use it was disallowed as the creature was dead). I'll happily give Him my oil of magic weapon, after that I'm out. My extracts are ineffective against incorporeal creatures, as are my bombs. AS Merry said, I can useAid Another to help boost their AC, but that's all.
We don't have to fight this thing; if we can persuade the boy to come out of hiding and go back to his friends, we can retreat and leave it for another day. We would only need to hold it off long enough to get the boy out. Nicias would be in favour of coming back later with heavy anti-undead stuff and cleaning it out, but it would make sense to retreat for now if we have accomplished his main goal here, which is to save the boy, and concentrate on our own main goal, which is to find this cure.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

I doubt the boy will come down on his own, especially if he's traumatized.
That being said, somebody would have to go, jump the weak section of hallway, get up stairs successfully, grab him, and physically carry him to safety outside. Out of everybody here, you are the most physically capable to do it since the rest of us are needed to battle the creature, or are unable to do it all due to innate strength or size issues.
So, shoot your last raining arrow, then go for it if you want. I won't complain, and will cheer you on.
Personally, I would prefer to put this creature down now. If we can do it, I think we can end the haunting of the house permanently. If we have to retreat, that's fine too, but I would not want to leave the child behind either. That's what this guy does. He tortured others in life, so he now does it in death too.

Innis |

need to be in melee with the creature to aid other so if we keep it contained in the hallway we are limited in that regard

GM Aumakua |

Nicias your raining arrow does work just not as effective as you expect it. You guys have the wknd to make your actions once Monday morning (EST) hits I'll post my action.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Well the only ones left to go are Nicias and Him before the creature? (Kirzon ordered Boros to back up...)
Him is being bot by GM?
If I may suggest: Nicias, move up past Lililinda and apply the Oil of Magic Weapon to his current scimitar. It will only last one minute (10 rounds?) but that should be enough. Him then moves to engage the creature and keep it busy.
Next init, you fire your raining arrow into the room with the creature, I blast it (firing into melee, but its a touch attack, so that's not totally bad) while him tries to hit it as many times as he can while Innis and Kirzon bolster Him as best they can magically.
Next init, if things are bad, we repeat what we can, Innis channel energy to heal everyone she can reach (which may include the child upstairs too) ad Nicias can try the hallway jump and scamper to find the child and bring him down safely ASAP.
Next...rinse and repeat as needed?
I'm sure the creature will try and surprise us with something, but we will have to deal with it as best we can as it comes!

Sounds reasonable, but I believe it is Him that would need to apply the oil, taking a move action to complete it. It would be better for him to step out of combat while he does so, as he would provoke AoO and not be in a position to parry and riposte (that might need clarification from GM, but I can't see hoe he can parry and riposte while applying oil to the weapon he is parrying and riposting with). That would mean someone else stepping in to take his attention while he does so.

Gavmania |

OK, I double checked; drinking a potion or using an oil is a standard action, not a move action.
How about this; Nicias moves to C5. That puts him in a reasonable location to use his raining arrow. Him 5' steps to B4, takes and applies the potion then steps forward again back to b3.
Next initiative Him is able to attack and counterattack while Nicias fires his arrow, etc as you suggested.

GM Aumakua |

Nicias make your action in gameplay will update tomorrow morning.

GM Aumakua |

Onto a different matter:
Him's disappearance from the boards. It seems that noone has heard anything from him other than feeling really sick – he is actually GMing a game as well as a player in a couple more that I know of – It pains me to do this but I might have to look for another player to fill the group unless you all wish to do this with the five that you have and wait for his return. As to when that might be I can not say.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |

Let's give him until the end of the month for now (a couple more days). If has not responded by that time...we can look for a possible replacement then? Or discuss it further? I'd hate to count him out due to real life and all, but we really can't wait forever...and forcing the GM to bot him seems problematic at best.

Kirzon |
How about replacing but with the option of returning to the game? Him is a most entertaining character, and I don't want to lose him.
I can see it now - Him gets arrested by the city guard for insulting the Taldan authorities (even though it was really Lililinda who brought out the taser). Of course, if he rejoins us, he could have successfully sweet-talked his way out of jail.

Innis |

Him kicked a dude in the balls....after the man was tasered by the hysteric gnome.
Yea let's finish this house adventure area; if we don't hear from him then we can look into finding another Adventureholic.

GM Aumakua |

I hear you Kirzon he is entertaining I think we'll go as long as we can without him and if he doesn't come back by then we'll look for another replacement. Right now he'll botted for now.
