This is Captain Collateral Damage here with Grunyar Goldenbelt, Dwarf Inquisitor (Preacher) of Abadar, here to spread civilization and Abadar to the new world!
Hopefully this priest won't be as nasty about spreading his religion as the ones in our world were. :(
Stats coming very soon, at most tomorrow, with fluffy stuff soon after.

How would you feel about a LE Paladin, with Detect Chaos and Smite Chaos instead of the normal abilities?
The rest would stay mainly the same, but would push forward the "Law above all else" theme.
And, say, if I were to enter the Hellknight prestige class, would my Smite Chaos stack with the Smite Chaos of the Hellknight?

I would say... I totally support this idea.

Hey Molly, first of all, thanks for running the game, as a player I really appreciate it. The simple fact is the more I put together this Halfling rogue, the less I want to play him. If I come up with a character I find more interesting I will post him, but for now please remove me from consideration, thank you and good luck everyone.

Alright, cool!
I'll probably also take the Oath of Vengeance, as Channel Energy doesn't seem fitting for such a law-bringer and smiter of the wayward.
A few questions, first.
1. Why did we leave Cheliax?
Is this former Hellknight commander leaving Cheliax because he has lost faith in the idea?
My paladin would most likely wish to establish a colony in Arcadia and then report to Queen Abrogail, so if this commander has lost faith in the crown, he might be a possible enemy.
2. You mentioned city building might be a thing that happens. Would this be done using the Kingdom rules from Ultimate Campaign?
Molly Narr
1. Why did you leave Cheliax? I leave that up to you. The Paracount decided to leave mainly because his cousin is the Lord-Mayor of Westcrown and thought it is a city in decline, said Lord-Mayor still has some sway in other regions of Cheliax (and might understandably feel a bit slighted that his family member packed up and decided to take a little over 1,000 people with him. You could say he isn't exactly the biggest fan of Thrune either.
2. This would not be using those rules. I'm still working out the exact details, but I am not going to burden you with an entirely new ruleset. It will be closer to 5e where I say, "Well, you have X amount of resources... what do you want to do with it?" I'll see about building a little something on roll20 and sharing the town once it gets to that point.
bigrig107
1. Alright, sounds interesting. I plan on setting the Paracount up as the Obi-Wan to my Anakin. Using Angelkin Aasimar, who are supposed to be the perfect, LG paladin race, with him as my mentor. The temptations and lawful mantra of Cheliax eventually reached me, and I didn't fall, but ascended to LE.
Might end up recreating a Mustafar fight scene with the Paracount, though, if he ends up surviving the trip there, hopefully with better results than the character I'm modeled after.
We'll see how things go!

For the love of god, if he gets the high-ground, just walk away.
Edit: I'll post Akkads, much longer than anticipated backstory now, and add the personality details for him and Vimana soon.
As he grew, he began to show a skewed ability in the arcane arts. Akkad lacked the versatility that would be required by a Wizard. His innate power wasn’t strong enough to be a Sorcerer either, but his ability to conjure outstripped that of any of his tutors previous pupils. This was very fortunate for him, the Elven parents who raised him had high expectations for him. The expectations that he would one day grow the name of the Min-Alqadima family, and arcane exploits were a suitable method. At his graduation from basic training, Ali revealed Akkads surprise present to him. Ali had several mages on his retinue start a ritual to summon Vimana. Vimana was a name Akkad recognized. She is an Outsider the Min-Alqadima’s would summon to guide them in long-term decision-making enterprises. Furthermore, he had retained enough of his trained knowledge to know that the Summoning circle wasn’t being created to register Akkad as her summoner. No, if that were true, surely he would have been the one doing that. So, he thought of a plan of his own. When the other mages closed their eyes as ancient magicks began to fill the air, he handed a nearby servant a gold piece and ordered him to distract Ali’s attention as long as he could. During this time he adjusted the runes chalked onto the marble surface so that, when the ritual was complete, the creature would be loyal only to him.
In a flash of light, the process was completed. Lingering energies crackled in the air as Vimana came into view. Something was wrong however. When Akkad altered the spell, doing so while it was being cast had warped the Outsider unexpectedly, and horrifically. Most noticeable was her skeletal form. As a Psychopomp, the ghastly features of the dead did little to bother her. The worst effect to her was her reduced mental faculties. The knowledge of ages spent poring through tomes as old as she was, seeing history unfold, was all but erased. Ali gave her the order she had expected from the moment she laid eyes on Akkad. She was to follow this boy, now almost a man, and guide him to greatness.
It wasn’t long before the mages noticed what had been done to distort Vimana’s body and mind so. They determined that she must remain in this world to keep her form, and thus, remain bound to the deceptive Akkad. Were she to grow in power, she would also slowly regain her mental faculties. For a small price, the mage conclave responsible for the event were easily convinced not to tell Ali of Vimana’s true loyalties. This had been the first time he had seen the Psychopomp himself, and he had no idea she was meant to be any different. For his part, Akkad felt the need to excuse himself from his families private lands, to travel abroad. And to stay away from his father, who would surely be enraged by the deception. Years later, he happened to learn about a voyage to Varisia. Travelling by land had met him with nuisances, so he decided he wanted to have the novelty of seafaring under his belt. This Paracount seemed to have a similar idea to him, so Akkad sympathized with the man. But the storm approached…
Akkad makes it a point to show others his superior wealth through flashy style, though he has learned from more than one lost barfight when to back off. Frequently, he can be seen riding atop Vimana. This leads him to wear expensive clothing that befits someone of his noble status. Usually whites, and other light colors that contrast with his dark skin-tone. He's handsome by elven standards, but his personality tends to drive people off sooner than later.
Although he's a show-off, and attention hog, he's a lonely man on the inside, who pushes people away seemingly subconsciously. When he does start to warm up to someone, it shows, as he treats them as his equal. In his own way, anyway.
Vimana is in several figurative and literal ways half the Outsider she used to be. She is a quadrupedal creature, formed much like a Sphinx. But her body is a mere skeleton. She does not bear any malice towards Akkad for the experience. Not much anyway, just enough to hold his biggest mistake over his head. Although the two bicker sometimes, she is aware of his desire for better. Not the money, but he wants something much less material. Travelling with him gives her the chance to learn not just what was lost, but also to gain. she knows this. Vimana knows many things as the go-to source of information for the Min-alqadima family for ages. She acts as the brains of the pair when it comes time for knowledge.

Well, I wasn't exactly planning on going for the exact replica, but if that's how it goes down, that's how it goes down.
I'm probably going to have to find a way to kill him easily or weaken him first (maybe party help?) because dude's a paladin. I can't touch him with my smite (as he's LG), but he can wreck my face with his (since I'm LE).
Maybe that's why Obi-Wan won the fight?
Because his smite was effective?

I'll get to reading that now!
And funny Obi-Wan said that, considering how Darth Maul had the high ground in their encounter...EDIT:
My, my, I think this will make for some amazing party interactions.
First, all finished.
Second, I think Obi-wan got the better end of those deals because he was paying attention. Unlike Darth Maul. Who was kind of just standing there like "Well, death? Here I am!" And Anakin, who was mid-temper tantrum.

Oh, yeah, forgot my rolls.
Let's see...
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 3) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 3) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 3) = 19 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 6) = 19 18
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 6) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 4) = 15 12
Hmm. Lord Asmodeus has truly smiled down upon his faithful servant.
That leaves me with
Str 18 +2 = 20
Dex 12
Con 14
Int 11
Wis 10
Cha 16 +2 = 18
What wealth are we starting at?
I'm looking at Full Plate for him right now.
Edit: alright, I see its 150. Even with Rich Parents (flavored as Hellknight equipment), it's not enough for plate. But we're going to a new world...hmm. I'll have to think about this.

Read it myself, it was pretty good

I'd be interested in this game. I have an idea for a young Sargavan, a child of loyal, Chelish colonists, coming to Cheliax only to find it's not the utopia he heard about from his parents. The ship was the first opportunity he got to leave again and actually do something exciting.
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 5) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 5) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 5) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 6) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 2) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 4) = 19 15
That seems rather, well, odd. No high rolls but also no low rolls, let's see what I can do with.

Hey all! Just a few questions to Molly:
1)Where will we be posting and playing? Here, another page, roll20?
2)Where do you prefer us to keep our sheet stored, here as our posting character profile, myth weavers, fillable pdfs ina particular drive or dropbox?
3)Is there an estimated time of start? I'm eager to begin!
And I'd also like to add the following: sorry beforehand for any and all spelling/grammar typos... unfortunately english isn't my first language and as a human I make mistakes
Emissary closing ^^

I should note, I will be happy to build a profile for Akkad if I am selected, right now, I'd just like to avoid building up a crazy number of profiles for games I'm not in.
Edit: I think I missed it. What level do we start at?
Edit x2: To expand a bit on how I'll be playing Akkad. I'll be summoning Elementals as soon as I can to give out flanking buddies, as well as solid scout work (Earthglide is nice). Vimana the Eidolon will be focused on making knowledge checks for the group, not combat. And Akkad himself will mostly stay in the back buffing/controlling. On top of a conveniently impressive rock formation if possible. Or a glorious sunset. This also brings me to 2 questions. Can I rearrange the base stats for Vimana? I'd like "not a 7 int" instead of the other option. And, can I slightly reflavor the elementals I mentioned? I was thinking:
No mechanical differences obviously.

I'm just glad this holiday season is almost over!
@Emissary
1) We will be using the gameplay tab in this forum.
2)I would prefer if you use a profile here. If you don't want to create one until I have chosen who would be in the campaign, that is totally fine by me.
3)I'm will make my decision on January 4th.
@Green
Why of course! Redistribute the stats and reflavor away!
@Demon
Alright. Wish you the best of luck in the future!

Ok, here's a link to Grunyar's appearance, with personality and backstory soon to come. (Although I don't know exactly how soon.) It'll also be in his profile in maybe a minute or so.

Hmmm...this would only be the second time I've ever gotten the chance to see Arcadia. Last campaign didn't last as long as we'd have liked. Maybe I need to get into PBP play again to get me back on a regular schedule.
Let's see what the dice gods say...
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 2) = 14 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 4) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 2) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 3) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 6) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 4) = 13 12
Is it just me, or did I just roll EXACTLY a 15-point buy?
Hmmm...I'll have to look over the prd and see what inspiration strikes.

Actually, after having done a little more reading, I've actually been somewhat inspired by the oracle, though I'd have to seek the GM's approval for the 3PP curse: child.
EDIT: after yet MORE reading, I'm noticing MOST of the good and interesting choices for merfolk exist outside Paizo products, so I think it best if I wait on the GM before trying to write up anything. Lots of 3PP stuff actually looks attractive for both theme and mechanics, and the paizo stuff is...underwhelming, to say the least. I know merfolk are a pretty good race to begin with in the right environment, but it's kind of interesting to really take a closer look and see where all their options lie.

Saw this thread a while back, and was interested but with the holiday season and a couple of other recruitments I was commited to, I thought I'd give it a pass, but I've always wanted to do an Arcadia campaign, it has so much potential. Now I've pulled out of the other recruitment threads, I can consider this one.
The question is, are we headed for one of the Chelaxian colonies or is the plan to make something new? I plan to make some kind of bounty hunter looking for a fugitive known to have taken ship to the Chelaxian colonies on Arcadia, would that fit in this campaign? He would be a seasoned traveller; some sort of tracker. Looking at Ranger, Hunter or possibly Druid.
Not sure about him staying with the party afterwards; there would have to be some hook for him to stay.
Molly Narr
Gavmania, the plan was to make something new in Varisia. (Ending up in Arcadia was an unfortunate mistake as a result of the storm) The Paracount was going to let anyone who wanted to leave do so, while he would have rehired anyone from his former estate/looked into hiring others to build a new estate within Varisia.
Assume Arcadia has never been colonized before and in fact isn't even mapped. Other than that, the bounty hunter works as long as you assume you THOUGHT you were going to Varisia.
Gilthanis
Let me try my dice luck
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 4) - 2 = 14
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 4) - 4 = 15
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 3) - 3 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 1) - 1 = 6
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 6) - 4 = 16
4d6 - 3 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) - 3 = 14
OMG...a 6? That is a -3 right?!
Not out of the realm of potential things mind you, but I have never seen a 6 rolled on 4d6 LOL
