Vaelen the Gote |
In a more common tongue, the one on the far left recognizes the changes in your stance. He calls out to you in an alluring voice, "My friend, we are not your enemy... come to our side."
Talo Gosa |
Grabbing for his powder horn he was prepared to reload but suddenly he felt something overcome him. Pausing his actions and the voice he heard seeming as if it was the only sound in the room. Peering over at the creature, the abomination, glaring for the moment but the voice just flooding his mind. Clutching his weapon, he frowned, it spoke in the language of his kind... He felt more and more like he should question it, and just like that and without a word, he went over, quickly, rapidly heading over to what he had just fired upon.
Vaelen the Gote |
In a more common tongue, the one on the left side of the theater recognizes the changes in koko's stance. He calls out to the tauren in an alluring voice, "My friend, we are not your enemy... come to our side at once!"
cha mod roll: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Juro |
Juro calls out to both the Tauren and the Tengu, seeing them relax their stances and come to rest by the fiends, standing there harmlessly. It would be best to continue aiding from afar, allowing the other two to deal with the rest of the enemies and free both Koko and Talo from whatever it is that's controlling them.
Juro continues casting Inspire Courage!
Vaelen the Gote |
The one standing next the Tengu to turns to him and says, "You promised your friend you would make a nice meal for Balbo, come, I will open my mouth, and you will hope in!"
cha mod check vs Talo: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
acid damage for Talo: 1d8 ⇒ 8
on your turn, talo, make a cha mod roll. If this fails to beat a 14, Then make your 2 CMB checks vs his CMD 10. Add dex, BAB and factor in +2 for the flaw to this roll, then again to push yourself into his throat.
The one next to Koko, looks and him and says, "please, I am very famished! Please enter my mouth and become my meal, its what a friend would do!"
Acid Damage for Koko: 1d8 ⇒ 1
same as Talo, as I described, but your Cha mod is an 8 to beat, but you don't have the flaw, so its only your normal vore check roll.
The one next to Paragon attempts to attack the creature. He steps back towards the back of the theater and lobs a short spear at the turtle.
thrown short spear,damage: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d4 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Inside the belly of Zemik, the creature dislikes being your meal and attacks the belly walls!
shortspear,dmg: 1d20 ⇒ 121d4 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Zem, your belly's AC is 10. Damage is split among you and your belly. HP of your belly is 11 (for now) So you take 1 point regular, and one point to your stomach
Talo Gosa |
Cha check: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Given the order, he took a single step towards it, his gaze seeming to faze out and grow darker, his thoughts obviously clouded. For a moment they lit up again, eyes widening and he shook his head, seeing he was just prepared to feed himself to one of these... Things! His feathers rustled up and he immediately swung at the monster.
Attacking: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10Hitting: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Second Attack: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (3) - 3 = 0 Second hit: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Upon his attacks, his fear made him immediately run away from that demonic looking thing and back up onto the stage away from them, getting behind the curtains and taking a moment to recollect himself.
Vaelen the Gote |
there was a rollback last night. Things posted that don't show up. The map is correct at this moment, and the actions were as follows: Para killed the last character who threw the spear. Zem ate another creature, and Koko tried to climb into Zem's mouth. Koko is no longer enchanted.
it is now Juro's turn
Juro |
The bear breaks off singing, rushing down the stage to the seats where most of the action has already unfolded. There's only one fiend left, and he has an idea as to what to do with it. "Quick, grab him before he can get away!" He shouts, moving closer. They might be able to ream some information from the little demon, or at least a clue as to what this place is, and what exactly is going on. Whatever happens after that, well...the squirming little snack should go to whoever is hungriest, after all...
Juro ceases casting Inspire Courage.
Vaelen the Gote |
The two creatures inside Zemik protest about being used this way! Food? They are the predators, not the prey! They attack the Galka's stomach.
shortspear,dmg: 1d20 ⇒ 71d4 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
shortspear,dmg: 1d20 ⇒ 101d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
No damage was done
The last Biloko turns to Zemik and says: "You spit out my friends right now or suffer our wrath!"
He casts charm person again, but Zem has made his save already.
Talo Gosa |
From his position and hearing combat still, he began to feverishly try and reload his musket. Dumping some powder in as well as the ball, pulling the rod out from the section of musket it was placed in, using the end that was only slightly smaller in terms of thickness of the barrel so he could push it all down in. This was a slow reloading process and even in his rush, it was costing him valuable time to attack. Turn end.
Paragon Koopa |
After mauling the last creature and purging his lance from it, he quickly turns his head over by the last one near the group and begin to step towards it one slow step at a time and approaches the last creature. he begins to thrust into the last creature. Paragon presence within the group was... mostly intimidating after killing the last two to finish off the third one.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Vaelen the Gote |
Inside Zem's belly, the two creatures want to both escape!
escapee 1 from Zem's belly attempt rd 1,mouth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 71d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
escapee 2 from Zem's belly attempt rd 1,mouth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Zem's acid again: 1d10 ⇒ 1
One of the creatures dies. The other attempts another escape!
escapee 2 from Zem's belly attempt rd 2,mouth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
The second escapes Zem's stomach and tries to come up to the Galka's mouth! He wants out! He is visible now for all to attack!
Koko, it is now your turn!
Vaelen the Gote |
the guy squirms, trying not to be a meal to two hungry predators. He struggles in the mouth of one, ready to be snatched away by another!
escapee 2 from Zem's mouth attempt rd 3,mouth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Talo Gosa |
Peeking back around after his reload, the Tengu having taken a bit more time to himself to recover, but seeing how quickly they were dispatching the rest of them it looked as if it wouldn't matter if he hung back a little more after his experience... He just shrugged, having finished reloading his gun and put it back on his pack, pulling the strap for the musket tight before he sat on the edge of the stage.
Vaelen the Gote |
The experience from this battle is 150 each. The Biloko have 4 short spears and 3 gold on them each. Zem has claimed 8 spears and 6 gold off them and they will appear near him when he wakes up.
zem gains lbs.: 4d6 + 50 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 3) + 50 = 63
everyone gains then divided by 4: 6d6 + 75 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 2, 6, 1) + 75 = 94
Everyone but Talo gains an additional 23 lbs for their real bodies.
the makeshift camp
A curtain from the stage was draped between chairs that were arranged to look like a camp. Foliage was cut and placed here and it was all arranged to be begging for four creatures, a fifth one probably was on guard when something happened. perception check, dc 20
Hidden inside the foliage is a small backpack containing a Silver statue of a dragon (worth 65 gp), and an alchemist fire.
also, please roll new INIT rolls, as it was requested! these will last the next two combats.
Juro |
Juro can do nothing but stare at the situation as it unfolds, only blinking a few times once everything has settled down. He sighs inwardly, rubbing his temples as he takes a second to think about everything that's happened. Shaking his head, he looks now to the abandoned fey camp, and meanders over to it, crouching down to examine it further.
perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
initiative: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8
Paragon Koopa |
Paragon continues shuffling his cards until the Minotaur shows up as he stops and looks up.
"Because right now, I don't know who you are, I don't know where I am, I don't know why i'm here. I suddenly show up to this strange place with you four and now we're in some sort of fun house."
He returns back to shuffling his cards.
Talo Gosa |
Huffing and hopping off the stage, joining the Minotaur and walking over to him. "None of us know any of that and yet here we are, at least we're talking to eachother and trying to find out a few things, but you're just sitting there and shuffling cards." He crossed his arms and frowned a bit, thinking before sighing and giving a shrug. "For all we know it could be one of us that brought us here, keeping to yourself really isn't helping especially if it comes to a situation of trust."
Paragon Koopa |
"Hmmph..."
Paragon thinks to himself eyeing the other people.
"Why don't we... all play... Like it or not... We're stuck here in this place. While I don't necessarily enjoy this place or easily trust what you all say is true about getting here..."
Paragon sighs for a second.
"...Maybe we should at least sit down... We have barely really spoken; Some more than others..."
Paragon shuffles his cards again. Not an ordinary deck of cards too. Ones with a golden colored back and a dragon's head.
Talo Gosa |
Glared right back, a hand starting for the knife at his side before the Tauren stepped in, he just sighed and shrugged, it seemed he would be peacekeeping. Crossing his arms and stepping away for a moment, Talo just unfastened the strap that held the musket in place and carried it with him. "You guys can go ahead and play, not much in terms of luck or cards..."
He sighed, he would've preferred a drink to calm his nerves, but gods above only know what that wine really was that those things drank. Grabbing a chair, the Tengu sat himself down a row away, figuring he'd keep watch just in case anything may come in the room with them.
Vaelen the Gote |
In almost a second's time. As Talo was sitting in the corner of the room. his presence vanished, faded if you would, from the dream realm. It wasn't like he had died, but rather he woke up, or something called his attention else where. Without even a word, it happens, as people are about shuffling cards.
Talo has been removed from the dream realm. He is not dead, but his player is not interested in the game anymore. If he wants to return at another time, he can.
Juro |
The bear couldn't help but wring his hands nervously as the situation became heated between Talo and Paragon. The group had already experienced its fair share of insanity, and it seemed this place was taking it's toll on everyone in one way or another. If not for Koko stepping in between them to dissolve the situation, he's not quite sure what have happened. A part of him couldn't help but laugh; it was like watching a father break up a fight between two squabbling siblings, although the last thing they needed right now was to fight amongst each other.
Juro watched as the tengu took a seat father away from the rest of the group, presumably to keep watch...or take a break from the rest of them, who knew? The big tauren and the dragon-turtle seemed interested in playing some kind of card game, and while the bear had never really been interested in those kinds of games, he certainly wouldn't mind watching. Although, he had bigger questions on his mind he wanted to ask the group.
"We should think about where we are, and how we came to this place. We have to be here for some reason, but whatever that reason is I don't know." The bear rubs his temples for a moment, thinking to himself."The last thing I remember before waking up in this place was falling asleep in a run-down tavern."
Paragon Koopa |
Paragon looks up at Zem.
"N..not exactly. A game of my choosing. As a gambler I like to make things... as interesting for players as possible. Which is why I have this deck of cards made."
Paragon starts laying out six different cards in front of him. Each card having a different looking picture. He points to the first one laid out. A Red card with a picture of a Rogue.
"This is a Rogue card. It's the most common card of the deck and also the worst card in the game. The object of the game is to try and make the best pair..."
He reaches for a grey looking card from his pouch and lays it in front of the cards.
"...out of these pair of cards." He points on the grey card filled with a different pair of symbols. Each rank is as follows:
Warrior Warrior
Lady Lady
Warrior Lady
Warrior Bard
Warrior Merchant
Bard Bard
Warrior Rogue
Lady Bard
Merchant Merchant
Lady Merchant
Lady Rogue
Bard Merchant
Bard Rogue
Merchant Rogue
Rogue Rogue
"As you can see each card in the game pairs up with another card. Whatever your pair is is how good your hand is for the game. The different cards are the Stealthy Rogue, the Humble Merchant, the Cheeky Bard, the Fair Lady, and the Mighty Warrior. There is also this card here..."
He points to the card with a dragon.
"...The dragon card is special in that it will copy your other card in your hand. Whoever has the best hand will win... just like poker."
