"...hrmm."

Paragon eyes at Juro but turns away. He then re points down to the Rogue card he laid out.

"Another thing is... when it comes to a tie the player with more of a single color in their hand is the winner. There are three colors in the game: Red, Blue, and Green. In example, if I had a Warrior and Warrior that were both red and you had a Warrior and Warrior that was Green and Red, I would win because I have two reds and you have one. If we both had Red Red and you had green green it would be a tie. The only other exception to this is if you had a Warrior Dragon in your hand in which case dragon always wins. Dragon Dragon is secretly the best hand in the game."

He gathers up the cards and starts to reshuffle them all back together. Then giving out a grey reference card to the other two players so they have the chart handy.

"The game plays out as I will deal two cards and we have a betting round. After that we move into a Discard and Draw phase then immediately play one card. Keep in mind that this one card you play is fifty percent of your hand and you have one more discard phase after that; You can't discard a played card. After that we bet again, discard and draw your one card in your hand if you choose, then a third betting phase and then reveal hands."

Paragon takes a small sigh.

"...and that is Rogues and Warriors."

Paragon looks up at Zem.

"N..not exactly. A game of my choosing. As a gambler I like to make things... as interesting for players as possible. Which is why I have this deck of cards made."

Paragon starts laying out six different cards in front of him. Each card having a different looking picture. He points to the first one laid out. A Red card with a picture of a Rogue.

"This is a Rogue card. It's the most common card of the deck and also the worst card in the game. The object of the game is to try and make the best pair..."

He reaches for a grey looking card from his pouch and lays it in front of the cards.

"...out of these pair of cards." He points on the grey card filled with a different pair of symbols. Each rank is as follows:

Warrior Warrior
Lady Lady
Warrior Lady
Warrior Bard
Warrior Merchant
Bard Bard
Warrior Rogue
Lady Bard
Merchant Merchant
Lady Merchant
Lady Rogue
Bard Merchant
Bard Rogue
Merchant Rogue
Rogue Rogue

"As you can see each card in the game pairs up with another card. Whatever your pair is is how good your hand is for the game. The different cards are the Stealthy Rogue, the Humble Merchant, the Cheeky Bard, the Fair Lady, and the Mighty Warrior. There is also this card here..."

He points to the card with a dragon.

"...The dragon card is special in that it will copy your other card in your hand. Whoever has the best hand will win... just like poker."

"Hmmph..."

Paragon thinks to himself eyeing the other people.

"Why don't we... all play... Like it or not... We're stuck here in this place. While I don't necessarily enjoy this place or easily trust what you all say is true about getting here..."

Paragon sighs for a second.

"...Maybe we should at least sit down... We have barely really spoken; Some more than others..."

Paragon shuffles his cards again. Not an ordinary deck of cards too. Ones with a golden colored back and a dragon's head.

"I choose to keep to myself is all when dealing with people I don't trust. Is that so bad?"

Paragon gives a glaring, intimidating look at the Tengu.

"Right now though I just want to be sitting back at my tavern and playing some cards is all... and I can't do that because i'm stuck here."

Paragon continues shuffling his cards until the Minotaur shows up as he stops and looks up.

"Because right now, I don't know who you are, I don't know where I am, I don't know why i'm here. I suddenly show up to this strange place with you four and now we're in some sort of fun house."

He returns back to shuffling his cards.

Paragon just takes a lazy look around and check his surroundings and everyone.

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

"Hmmph..."

Paragon kind of scoffs and takes a seat down on the chair next to him. Piercing his lance into the ground and shield propped next to him. He reaches into his side pouch where he keeps his special deck of cards and starts shuffling them idly waiting for whatever the group goes.

After mauling the last creature and purging his lance from it, he quickly turns his head over by the last one near the group and begin to step towards it one slow step at a time and approaches the last creature. he begins to thrust into the last creature. Paragon presence within the group was... mostly intimidating after killing the last two to finish off the third one.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Paragon just grips his lance again and attempts to stab at the one speaking. It's easily seen that he doesn't care for his actions right now and just wants it over with.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Will: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16

Paragon starts to charge in with Lance help and shield held up going after the one creature that was just shot at.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Paragon looks at the waiter and and just kind of darts his eyes back and forth and he grabs one of the grapes and cracks a fake smile.

"uhh... val-ba.."

He replies and waits for the waiter to leave before sneaking it back into his shell not attempting to eat anything.

Paragon scoffs at the Minotaur as he rushes ahead of them but shrugs anyway and replies,

"...be my guest..."

As he enters the room with everyone he kinds just cocks his head to the side and just wonders what the hell he's just walked into looking around at the strange people and the scenery.

".......this is new..." He said out loud.

He watches as the other two leave and props himself by the door.

Paragon just followed the bird behind him as he watched him grab his gun and kind of smirked. He knew this bird was timid of what was in the door looking at him take brave steps as we continued. He pretty much had his lance over the shoulder casually strolling behind until he stopped; Paragon halted his footsteps as well.

Paragon raised his eye wondering what has the bird so spooked but he just treaded along. As the bird looked back at Paragon he kind of just shrugged as if making a gesture to move on.

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Purging his lance from the ground as he grips it tight looking at the lot, he shifts his eyes one direction saying that his name was Paragon. Though it was easy to tell he didn't trust anyone yet as he walked with the group anyway to the doorway; Keeping keen eye on the entire lot of people.

Paragon stumbled around still gaining his bearing from the oddity that was happening as he looks at the other three creatures and ats an eye at each of them?

"...what the 'ell is going on here?"

Using his lance as sort of a balance to keep himself up he planted it into the water. He was still a bit drunk... or so he though from last night.

"wh...what did I drink last night..? Who are you all?"

Paragon kind of thought to himself that maybe one of these three could of spiked his drink or something but didn't question just yet.

"A man’s gotta make at least one bet a day else he could be walking around lucky and never know it."

Paragon though to himself. This was his saying and lived by it being the notorious gambler he was.

Traveling to this down about a few days ago his fortunes were high. It seems everyone had sometime to play in Korvosa as Paragon would set up his table at the most local tavern. He was getting popular over the nights with his table usually full of players looking to take on a few rounds of poker.

The tavernkeep and bar maids didn't mind at all since it did bring in business. They didn't enjoy Paragon's ways but, hey, whatever gave them customers and what made people happy. Sadly though with gambling comes drinking and fights occur when loses are made against the cheeky gambler.

But as good as he is at gambling he's just as good as fighting. A strong warrior he is and even helped out in the Tavern when things got rough in fights that weren't his involving. He was almost like a bodyguard for the tavern in his own ways but just playing for himself.
