Glared right back, a hand starting for the knife at his side before the Tauren stepped in, he just sighed and shrugged, it seemed he would be peacekeeping. Crossing his arms and stepping away for a moment, Talo just unfastened the strap that held the musket in place and carried it with him. "You guys can go ahead and play, not much in terms of luck or cards..."

He sighed, he would've preferred a drink to calm his nerves, but gods above only know what that wine really was that those things drank. Grabbing a chair, the Tengu sat himself down a row away, figuring he'd keep watch just in case anything may come in the room with them.

Huffing and hopping off the stage, joining the Minotaur and walking over to him. "None of us know any of that and yet here we are, at least we're talking to eachother and trying to find out a few things, but you're just sitting there and shuffling cards." He crossed his arms and frowned a bit, thinking before sighing and giving a shrug. "For all we know it could be one of us that brought us here, keeping to yourself really isn't helping especially if it comes to a situation of trust."

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Peeking back around after his reload, the Tengu having taken a bit more time to himself to recover, but seeing how quickly they were dispatching the rest of them it looked as if it wouldn't matter if he hung back a little more after his experience... He just shrugged, having finished reloading his gun and put it back on his pack, pulling the strap for the musket tight before he sat on the edge of the stage.

From his position and hearing combat still, he began to feverishly try and reload his musket. Dumping some powder in as well as the ball, pulling the rod out from the section of musket it was placed in, using the end that was only slightly smaller in terms of thickness of the barrel so he could push it all down in. This was a slow reloading process and even in his rush, it was costing him valuable time to attack. Turn end.

Cha check: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Given the order, he took a single step towards it, his gaze seeming to faze out and grow darker, his thoughts obviously clouded. For a moment they lit up again, eyes widening and he shook his head, seeing he was just prepared to feed himself to one of these... Things! His feathers rustled up and he immediately swung at the monster.

Attacking: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10Hitting: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Second Attack: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (3) - 3 = 0 Second hit: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Upon his attacks, his fear made him immediately run away from that demonic looking thing and back up onto the stage away from them, getting behind the curtains and taking a moment to recollect himself.

Grabbing for his powder horn he was prepared to reload but suddenly he felt something overcome him. Pausing his actions and the voice he heard seeming as if it was the only sound in the room. Peering over at the creature, the abomination, glaring for the moment but the voice just flooding his mind. Clutching his weapon, he frowned, it spoke in the language of his kind... He felt more and more like he should question it, and just like that and without a word, he went over, quickly, rapidly heading over to what he had just fired upon.

Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Seeing his friend pointing at them, the Tengu was checking for fake flooring still, but now that there was a danger he immediately made a break for it. Dashing in their direction and past Juro in order to take position, he raised his musket to take aim and fire at the creature that seemed to be the closest to them.

Firing at the bottom left creature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 damage on hit: 1d12 ⇒ 5

After he fired, he took a step back into where he was so he could prepare to reload.

Startled by the rocks falling, he winced as he saw the big guy take the brunt of that hit and decently well. Rubbing the back of his neck, he just hung his head, maybe he should've taken point after all? He probably would've been able to get out of the way much more easily. He was still baffled such a large creature like the Galka could pull off a backflip that was fast enough to get him out of the way, but then again, this was a dream... Patting the Tauren on the back, a brief smile crossing his face. "You're a big guy but don't be too much of a tough guy, that was a pretty hefty hit you took and I'm sure it's worse than you're letting on."

He shrugged and just moved on into the room, looking around mostly before he made his way past the seats, immediately going for the stage with a smile. "I remember going to these, I had a few friends that'd take me to them." He clicked his beak for a moment as he walked up and down on the flooring, looking over the chipping wood. "Some of them had false bottoms to quickly exit the stage." Humming in thought he stomped on the floorboards a couple of times, it of course made some noise but he was checking if the bottom was indeed hollow as he was thinking..

Checking the stage floor: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Chuckled a little at him, drawing his dagger and approaching the vines, frowning a bit as he looked it over, still sharp and untouched, the knife he brought with him since when he left home. He had brought it with him wherever he went, he never had to use it though, just sliding it back into its sheath he just smiled and turned to him. "I don't think this letter opener will do much against all of this mess.. Even if it did, it'd probably take a while.. And I think those shrubs just brought us a message from mother nature telling us we can't pass here."

Read for a few more minutes as he thought, he found a few things here and yet he felt as though something was missing... They wasted enough time here though, he figured it'd be best to move on, there may be more important information they don't know about yet elsewhere. "Let's check the other rooms, hanging out in this darkness doesn't sound like the smartest plan... Let's finish looking around and head back to the room where the faceless freaks were.." He muttered as he went out and through back where they came, heading over to the plants blocking their way. "Now.. We can either check the other door or get to hacking this thing down." He clicked his tongue a few times before turning to the others. "What do you all think? My vote's for the other door and we come back for this."

Rubbed his beak in thought of the books, eventually he put it down and decided to come back to it later, checking on the various books in order to see what else may come across. Reading through the books, he frowned and tapped his finger on the last one he found. "Yeah, that may not be the only thing waiting for us here... There were at least three others also here, another group, a 'Mychael' and a 'Galdrin'... Do any of you guys know either of those names?" He turned to look at the two, looking back at the book again that he read.

"But they lost Mychael during one of their nights of sleeping in a dungeon, it seems... Waking up with him gone... I'm not sure what that means, but we should be careful where we rest." He sighed as this was a lot to take into account. He grabbed the books and brought them back to the desk where the first book was, just in case the others wanted to read them as well. His feathers as dark as the lighting around them, but faintly glistening in the light of his torch as he read.

Now that he finished digging open the entrance a little more, leaving room now for the Galka to pass through, still needing a bit of a squeeze since the Tengu was a bit short to be digging that high. Knocking the rest of the dirt off of the shovel, he put it away and his dagger, taking his torch so he could grab the book he saw earlier and read through it. Holding it out in front of him, mainly just because he was worried about the torch he held in his hand, a stray cinder would probably catch the old book ablaze... No need for that. Talo was mostly curious about the page it was left open on, however, he first inspected to see how much dust was on the pages of the book... If it collected a good amount, more than likely it was simply abandoned in this dark space, which would make sense.

Inspecting the book more closely: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Nodding in response to him. "Please do, I think I need to offer a hand." He returned to their comrade since he seemed unable to enter, he stopped in his tracks and went back to him, passing a book that he was feeling a bit drawn to... Priorities. He went back over to where they came in to and held the torch out to the large Galka for him to hold it for the moment, taking off his packet to fidget around before he pulled out a folding shovel, unfolding it now and attempting to open up the passageway a bit better. The Tengu's only fear here was getting a bit of dirt on him, either way, he was working to make sure they would all stick together.

Shaking his head, he only went further in, his own low light vision was only helping a little with his torch. "You've probably got a better idea than me.. I can't see that well, but we'll probably need to check them all anyway." He clicked his beak in thought, looking back at the big guy that questioned him. "You mind taking point? I can't see as well as you do, but we'll all be right with here with you."

Smiled to him, shrugging his shoulder a bit at the touch, just walking over to the door now. After what he saw in the room they were still in, he felt a bit more ready for whatever horrors that may be in this building. Opening his pack, he took a few seconds to light the torch with his flint and steel, putting the rest away and holstering his weapon.

Drawing his dagger now, the Tengu delved down the hall, taking it slow to make sure there wasn't anything too surprising jumping out at them. "Gods.. This place is something else." He muttered this to himself as he went.

Stopping before he reached the door, he blinked and looked back at the male, smiling and lifting the gun a bit. "It's a Musket, it's a bit different from others because I put it together myself... But I'm still proud to say I did." He patted the powder horn and pulled out one of the musket balls. "I load it with these and pull the trigger, it's pretty powerful, just hard and dangerous to use... Cutting yourself or a finger off with a bladed weapon is one thing, but if you shoot yourself by accident with one of these... It hurts."

Now that he was done looking around, he looked at where they came from and the various doors. "I'd say we shouldn't go after them, at least not yet, they may be ready to set a trap or get friends... Anybody up for checking any of these other doors?" He mentioned this as he started towards a door he caught out of the corner of his eye on the way in, heading towards it.

Rubbing his beak for the moment, he shrugs. "Not sure what this means.. I'd say one of you guys should come look at this, but.." He looked up at the Galka that was still chowing down, giving a light smile. "It seems you have priorities." He rose to his feet and walked to the piano, letting his feathered fingers feel over the keys, he hadn't touched one of these in ages.. He wanted one but never got the coin. Idly he began to press each of the individual keys, a light smile on his face. "Ah, my name is Talo, by the way."

Looking over the coat, he hummed softly as he got the goodies, putting the coins with the rest of his earnings and putting the sword on the belt loop of his. He looked over the coat as well, it was a nice color and he would've kept it for himself, but the blood splattered on it and the hole he made was too much for him, putting it down and brushing off his hands. Standing up, he then went over to the pot that was bothering him the most, tilting his head in a curious manner before he went to inspect it.

Investigating the pot and its contents: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Watching the last one disappear, the Tengu sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, everything definitely went south. Seeing the piano one, he felt anger, raising his musket and taking a shot, he was only given a click since he hadn't been given hardly any time to reload his weapon. He took some time to do it now, using his powder horn and ball to place down in it, making sure it was tucked down in there before he held it normally again. The room was a bit of a mess, a few bodies, and a few bloated comrades, raising a feathered brow he just shrugged it off. He didn't want to bother intruding on that factor and he didn't mind it too much so long as he wasn't made a meal for them too.

Upon reloading, he went over to where the first blood was taken, investigating the remains to see if there was anything... The one in blue was different from the others, and she definitely was now. His carrion sense was kicking in and being this close it made him feel a bit ill, but he still checked through the mess anyway to see if anything survived the first shot he landed on her, that is, if any of them were carrying anything in the first place.

Perception to check the remains of the denizen in blue: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

When he finished, he looked up at where the other friend was and waved. "Oi, it all looks clear now, thanks for the help.. We probably had that covered but the chanting helped... In a strange way." He shrugged and smiled to him. "I just hope nobody else is getting stuck in this fiasco, not at all sure."

Spotted the poor piano player approaching him for what seemed to be another bite, gripping his weapon firm, prepared to block it, but the next action was unexpected. Caught in the maw of the strange thing while another waited and yet another nipped at him, his leather armor protecting him.

Roll to escape the mouth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Roll to escape the second mouth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Out of one and into the next, he thought he was free until he landed and was taken once again by the second being. He was growing frustrated and in his hold he blindly jabbed at the thing with the bayonet of his musket.

To attack: 1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 1 = 16 Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Falling back out with a mix of blood and saliva on him from somewhere, he looked back to see he had definitely struck the creature and pierced right through it with the bayonet and then some, even the barrel of his weapon went through. Pulling it back out with a brief yank, he backed up, still a bit stunned and heading back until he bumped against the wall. Now that he had a look around, he did notice that all of the creatures that were in the room were dealt with... He considered it strange how quickly they went through them all.

Talo had seen the creature that was playing the piano lumbering toward him, not hard to avoid seeing it as he seemed to be making a straight line for him. Prepared and ready, it was not hard for him to duck out of the way of the attempted grab, unsure of what that... Thing was trying to do... Probably another attempted bite.

Now that he ducked out of the way, he attempted another two swings against the creature that confronted him.

First attempted strike: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Second attempted strike: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (5) - 3 = 2Second damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Once again being attacked by the creatures and once again found himself pushing them back and off of him. He felt anger building and he didn't have the breathing room in order to reload his musket to fire again. His rifle looked like junk with how he put it together himself, but it was fully capable of working time and time again. This time he raised the weapon in the air, to strike with the sharpened blade at the end.

The Tengu brought it down briefly with one swing.
Attempting to strike: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Hitting the creature: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Immediately swinging horizontally as well, blindly trying to strike the damned thing and erase it from existence.
Trying for a second swing: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22Connecting the sweeping blow: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Confirming crit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6Crit Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6

Panting a bit from the wild swings, he stepped back a few feet from whatever remained after his attacks to see the outcome and get some room.

Felt the shake in his hands from his rifle fired, his hands still trembling a bit since he hadn't fired it at somebody in a long time. But to his surprise the occasional practice kept his aim decently sharp and the creature seemed to have just vanished, the Tengu not sure what was up with that first shot but it certainly did it's job, two times over. The smell of black powder, smoke, blood, innards now filled the air for him, the smell was especially strong because of his ability to sense it even better, a grin spread across his face.

The Tengu cheered before realizing that was one of many... Immediately he began to get prepared to reload when he got the next chance to. In the back of his mind, he thought about this strange situation, maybe it was a nightmare that he would wake up from if he was hit? He was not sure and didn't seem too appealed by the idea... He'd bring down as many as he could then.

Talo decided it'd be best for a minor retreat, stepping back a few feet and eventually bumping into his friend. The feathered friend ended up at the side of the large Galka, he again looked back at him before he looked back ahead. Taking aim, hardly looking, he fired just wanting to down the monster. His heart raced once that shot rang out in his ears, wondering what fate would await them should they fail to face these demons.

Firing his musket: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26Shot hitting: 1d12 ⇒ 12
Roll to confirm, plus dice: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 74d12 ⇒ (5, 1, 11, 10) = 27

Felt the ringing in his ears from the sudden slamming of the piano keys, shaking his head a few times, feathers standing up in response. He was ready to go smash whatever creature this was and be done with it, no matter the consequence, but once he recovered he noticed he had stopped and the others suddenly were paying attention to the rest of them. The strange and rather horrifying sight almost made him stumble into the female creature behind him, whom he turned to immediately.

The sudden bite lunging for him allowed him to bring up his weapon to block it, yanking the firearm back away. His green eyes were wide with shock and fear as he was surrounded by these faceless abominations. It was time that he took these matters into his hands and dealt with them, checking over his shoulder briefly to see the situation and think about his initiative for this fight.

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Talo smiled a bit, even though she didn't understand, he didn't either, which brought them to an understanding. He shrugged to her to justify he did not know and heard the keys, the louder playing made him wince a bit, looking over at the piano man. Looking back at her, he pointed to the man and did another shrug, trying to question her with body language to the best of his abilities.

Suddenly hearing the door shut, hardly, from the piano growing louder, he turned to face it and saw another face... A full face, eyes and all. How many people were being brought here? He felt a chill, looking at the room of individuals, were these possibly people like they were? Brought here and having... Whatever this may be done? He really wish he read that book more now.

Froze in place, he did get a response but it's still a word he did not understand, rubbing his beak as he tried to think his way through this. He had their attention now so he had to make use of it, sighing as he stood there, a bit of testing and experimenting would probably be needed. "Do you understand what I say to you? Nod for yes shake for no." He nodded his own head and then shook it to further portray his words. He certainly felt like a fool but this was certainly no language that he understood... If it even was a language.

Sighed, rubbing the back of his head, looking around and trying to think of what to do. The others didn't pay attention and it seemed as if they were speaking another language. The food seemed fine but at the same time it was outlandish... At least it was safe, as far as he knew.
Tapping his beak in thought, he listened to the conversations and went over to one of the beings, looking at them both and since he wasn't getting any attention, he spoke. It took a moment, wondering if he should really repeat those same words, but he did, speaking up to the nearly faceless creatures. "Val-ba..?"

Looking through some of the food through and through, it seemed edible, nothing too great but something to eat.. He sighed a bit, his stomach screamed at him in the past, so he decided to steal a few bites of the meal himself, nothing too severe since he wanted to be travelling light and still unsure. "It's not the best I've ever eaten... But I think it's safe, we may even be able to take some for the road, unsure though." He shrugged, the Tengu sure wasn't about to bring this strange dimensions meal with him, he already had five days worth of his own food with him.

Stepping away from the table, ready to go back to his seat alone. His gaze met with the others again, feeling ignored but he preferred that. The smaller meals they had seemed strange and the white wine caught his eye next, stopping, the Tengu then began to investigate the last thing he was entirely unsure of... Why the wine?

Perception to check the wine: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Raised a feathery brow as the... Person.. Spoke to the turtle, just going on about his business for now, deciding it'd be a bit smarter to go and investigate the food. Some of it looked unnaturally large, but it may be because of this area, eventually he found himself beside the Minotaur at the table of food, he was a bit hungry but he decided to see if there was anything wrong with it.

Perception for the food on the table: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

Watched the male he first met when he got here head towards the food, giving a shrug and frowning. "I wouldn't suggest eating food you find in such a random place, especially when there's these... Fine people." He muttered, his gaze looking at the others. "But I'm a little young to be your mother." He smiled a bit and looked around, stealing one of the chairs that wasn't occupied before taking it to sit down next to the door where they came into this room from.

Looked back at the Tauren as he followed along, his feathers stood up when he spoke and immediately shook his head, quickening his pace and refusing to let him pass him. "No no.. I'll be fine for now, I don't want to turn tail and leave somebody else to take the hit for me." He sighed softly, the next words he muttered followed in a whisper. "Not again.." He simply continued on, shrugging his shoulders a few times.

Once he stepped through the light, seeing the food and drink before frowning and just feeling something else was irking him... His eyes fixated on the nothingness that was their faces, missing eyes and noses, shocked and appalled he did nothing and stepped out of the way so others could see as well.

Keeping his weapon clutched and just watching them, feeling as though he had read something about them somewhere... He sighed a bit, believing he read a book about this but he really he couldn't place it... He knew he should have joined the Academy to gain more knowledge, perhaps be a little bit more like the rest of his feathered brothers and know how to speak multiple languages.

Let out the deep breath he was choking on for a while as he went ahead and continued onward. Heading farther down the marble-like floored hallway, slowly towards the light every now and again he would check if the group was following him or something else was. Only tightly gripping his weapon as he marched onward, feeling fear creeping into the back of his mind, it was only children but it certainly felt like something else.

Simply watched the turtle creature before sighing and shrugging, rising back up to start walking back towards the door. Looking back towards everyone else, Talo stared straight ahead at the white door he attempted to touch and heard something he wish he hadn't... Just sucking in a deep breath, he started back up to the door, grabbing the knob to turn it until a satisfying 'click' allowed the door to be pushed open.

Once he opened the door, he looked down that passage, hearing the whispers, the feathers on the back of his neck rose a bit but he continued. The Tengu reached for his firearm with a shaking hand to pull it from the loop on his pack, holding it with both hands as he walked. Talons lightly clicking against the flooring with each step, he did stop for a moment to listen for those whispers a bit better, in hopes to know where they were coming from.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Spotted the male stepping in, his emerald green gaze, practically glowing, locking on the turtle-like creature before he gave a shrug in response to him. "My name is Talo." He then pointed to the Tauren. "That's Logrokoko.. The long and short is that we all seem to have just woken up here, I certainly know nobody here." He sighed a bit, waving his hand dismissively of the thought.

The Tengu approached the porch and stepped up to it, reaching for the door but he felt a chill, stepping away and returning to the others. His face had gone a bit more pale, his expression a bit more shocked, mainly because of the feeling as though he should not be trying to head inside yet. Returning to the group and sitting down, blinking himself back into focus.

Sighed a bit after it sounded as though the other male was taken the same way he was. Rubbing his beak in thought as he began to pace back and forth, gaze losing focus as he tried to think about what may be causing this. He would say magic but at the same time he'd probably sound mad... He wasn't quite sure if it even existed, he had never personally seen magic of any regard, himself.

"That's the same for me, I was in my home.. Midland.. Tired after working and deciding to hit the sack early and was dreaming as I normally would. Then I was suddenly given full control and had to wade through what felt like water to get here." He sighed and gave a shrug after another few moments of pondering, looking to the others since they seemed a bit distracted by something else. "I suppose we only have one direction to go the moment those two want to introduce themselves."

Drifting through dreams and thoughts of his own, being astonished when he had no control but the moment he felt he warm wetness at his waistline... The dream felt a bit more lucid and that he had control again, feeling a little bit heavier now than he was before. He checked himself over to see he had his rifle strapped to the backpack he wore and his dagger at his hip. Confused by this and feeling the light jingling of his coin in his pocket, he just continued onward, wading through the deep waters but thankfully shallow enough he didn't need to swim through it.

A strange dream that seemed to only get stranger, exiting this strange mist from nowhere to see there were others, the moment he saw them he had a hand hovering over his dagger, thankfully hidden by the water for now. Green eyes darting around to stare at each of them, once he heard the question, he eased up just a little. Hearing the question he let out a relaxed sigh, stepping out of the more shallow water, feeling annoyed by how much he had went through to get to this strange place. Stepping onto just the shore to get out of the wetness, his leather armor and dagger able to be seen now.

The Tengu first took off his pack to check through his supplies to see what all was brought with him to this strange dream. Despite how tired he was when he went to bed, right now he felt disturbingly awake, which was fine to him so he could remain alert. He didn't answer the question immediately, but spoke up when he did. His own accent was a bit more feint, the tone low and soft, coming slow as he spoke. "Your guess will probably be as good as my own.. 'Tis a strange place, but it certainly opens my eyes a bit in terms of curiosity."

The male arose to his feet, showing he was pretty slender in terms of strength, but stood at a good 4'6", holding the stance of a soldier with how stock still he stood and upright, but he was no grizzled veteran, looking young as well. "In case we're here for longer than I'd like, my name is..." What came next was a different language, his own, speaking in Tengu with a mix of cawing in with the foreign language. "But in the language known by most.. It's Talo Gosa, just say Talo though." He gave as much of a smile as a person with a beak could before he finished searching through his pack and slinging it back onto himself.

The Tengu awoke this morning, well, afternoon just about... It was just turning two when the avian awoke from his bed. A single bed, in a single room for a single home, he groggily awoke to be ready to bathe. Getting that out of the way and having his breakfast, the standard random vegetables he'd have, this morning it was peas, as well as some pork and a hunk of bread. His small home having some old floorboards, but this produced the one sound he'd hear aside from his occasional yawn and footsteps. The sun filtered in through one of his windows and he dared not brave that beast yet. Getting appropriately dressed for the day, leather armor for when he was out on the town, dagger strapped in case he was in trouble. He left his musket and it's ammunition at home, in separate locations, just to prevent any mistakes if he would get into a fight.

Closer he drew to the door, dragging his feet before he sighed and pushed the door open, that sunlight shining down on his black feathers, smooth and glistening slightly. Rubbing his emerald colored eyes and looking around to see what was around, just the usual of people walking about and trading, seeing some of the scum from the thieves guild whom he glared at every now and again on his way to the pub. A bit of drink on his breakfast couldn't hurt, taking the next two hours to spend some of his coin and get a good wake up. He kept to himself since it seemed wise, just pondering what he should really do, ever since he quit being a guard he always had that same question, especially for how he quit so easily. Blinking himself back awake, he got up and checked the window that was near his usual seat in the back, seeing the sun had moved a bit he had decided it was time to get to work.

Paying for his drink and leaving the pub, now having the spice of his brandy giving him a good wake up, Talo returned to his home to collect his tools. Gunsmith's kit and a wooden table with a chair he had, waiting patiently there in case the guard would come by... Luck would have it they did, and it appeared to be the usual misfires, when his hand reached for the weapons he could see the burns on their hands as well. Looking the weapon over and piecing it back together was all based on how serious the misfire was which was also based on how poorly kept the weapon was. Cleaning it up a bit too for the man, he put it back together and slid it across the table, accepting the coin placed on the table, Talo would repeat this process three more times before he received no more customers.

The Tengu would normally sit around for as long as he felt like, it was an easy job with decent payment, he'd be out for a while but today felt like it was dragging him down a bit more than usual. He could not quite tell why, but his energy felt sapped, another guard came by with a weapon for him to fix. He worked still but idly made chatter with her, asking about the day, mainly about how the guard's life was still treating, more than surprised when the girl spoke his name: "I'm sure it'd be great to have you back, Talo." Of course he froze, stopping his work and keeping quiet the rest of the time, returning the weapon and skipping payment as he took everything back inside without another word.

Shutting his door, locking it, staring at it in thought for what felt like hours before he found himself making his way up to his bedroom. Not even peeling out of his armor yet, the Tengu dropped to the bed and stared up at the ceiling, thinking about everything that led up to this point. Sleep was creeping in through the back of his mind and he was growing more exhausted, he focused on the one thought that mattered right now, mumbling it to himself as he drifted off. "Talo Gosa..."

"I am checking in."
