Skyscale |

Sky follows, still curious about what it will do, and why... so he is somewhat reluctant to do so.

Vrog Skyreaver |

As you approach this machine, you get a strong sense of deja vu, and without thinking about it, you find yourself stepping onto the pad. You hear something said in that language you do not recognize, and then you are immobilized, before you feel yourself lifted from the ground by hands you can not see. You feel a tingling as if something was lightly touching your scales, but neither pain nor any other sensation. Curiously enough, you don't feel apprehensive or nervous, more like this is something you have done so often that it is routine.
Skyscale shuffles forward, and when he is fully on the pad, he ceases to move, as if frozen in ice (without the ice). He then rises from the ground into the air and then begins to spin ever so slightly. For those of you with suits (and set to the correct language setting) you hear the following:
"Immobilizing subject. Beginning scan." There is a brief pause followed by "Scan complete. Subject is a GalCat Large-Sized Taninim with both Cloud and Serpentine Dragon features. Natural weapons include claws, a bite, and the ability to gore with his horns. Wear and scarring suggests that subject is trained in a style of combat geared towards powerful, inaccurate strikes. Subject has two different breath weapons, as would be expected from a member of his race. Subject has elevated beta and gamma brainwaves indicating that he is in some form of sublimated psychological distress. Subject last received Lifescrub at 19:20:42:20122:54e. Subject will require Lifescrub again on 07:20:42:20123:54e to maintain health. Error: Can not determine subject's age. Error: 1211. Subject has exceeded maximum number of recommended Lifescrubs. Subscale implant working without error. Report complete. Would you like to DatDum implant now?"

Skyscale |

Skyscale floats quietly above the surface during the procedure. So that's how to get him to be quiet.

Skyscale |

Even being pinned in place and spun slowly in a circle could not contain Skyscale!
"Oooohh... This is nice. A little to the left... ah. Yes... right there...." He says, exceedingly calmed from earlier. He looks slowly around the room while he spins. "I have done this... many times. Many times. Can we do it again when it stops? What is it saying?"

Ameo Wanstell |

Ameo looks over at Calista. What do you suppose DatDum means? Is that how we remove it? Ameo has a puzzled look on his face as if he is thinking it over. Maybe if he speaks at the machine.
Machine, remove implant.

Knowledge Planes to translate Datdum: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Linguistics to translate Datdum: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Skyscale |

I'm working off of the idea that everything being said that isn't directly to Skyscale is Gibberish. :)
"Wheeeeeeeeeeee" Skyscale says slowly... and somewhat calmly.

Korash the Spiky |

Korash draws his Mace of Smiting as he waits, ready to smash the machine to pieces if it tries anything too hostile.

Vrog Skyreaver |

As Ameo begins trying to work out the meaning of that message, Skyscale is put on the ground, yet still immobilized, as the machine waits on an answer.
You are pretty sure that it is a technical term, although it would certainly be outside of your Wheelhouse. You do feel fairly confident that it is not a synonym for killing or harming him. As far as you know, there is no person, place, or thing that uses the word DatDum amongst the higher planes. That means that whatever people brought you here were not of celestial descent.

Skyscale |

Datdum? Noooo! Not DatDum! Is that anything like data dump? Like backing up? Or is soundproofing about to happen..? Also, did Cali quit again?

Vrog Skyreaver |

"There are 1.2 trillion pulses of video. Beginning playback."
A crack in reality appears before your eyes, and you see an incredibly tall grey-skinned creature with impossibly long arms standing before you. The creature leaves view, and the portal goes dark, but you can hear a buzzing sound like a great many bees. The darkness continues for a while, and then it disappears, like someone opening their eyes, to reveal a pair of the beings you saw earlier. They appear to be having a disagreement, and are looking at you, and then speaking rapidly to each other. This goes on for a while, and then the darkness returns the way it left.
This goes on for a while. How long are you going to watch?

Skyscale |

Does it remind Skyscale a great deal of his own blinking and/or sleeping? XD Specifically, does Sky remember that in a Deja vu way?
"I'm good. I want the spinning again, though. The standing is boring."
If the above is true.
"Hey... that's my memory. Give it back..."

Ameo Wanstell |

How about we watch the first 10 minutes and see where that gets us.

Korash the Spiky |

Someday Korash will level up and learn to speak Celestial. For now, he waits patiently. "When done with doing big blue things to Sky-scales, maybe look for map? Would be helpful."

Skyscale |

Skyscale continues to watch his own memories playing back for a bit. "What are they saying, Ameo?"

Ameo Wanstell |

I am not sure what they are saying. I do believe these are the beings that took us from our homes.

Skyscale |

"They are scaleless like you." Skyscale says in an agreeable tone.

Vrog Skyreaver |

As the images continue, You note several things: At one point, you catch a glimpse of Skyscale looking at a reflective surface, so clearly this confirms that these are his memories, and two, given the rate that these images are moving, This must be a large amount of time.
Go ahead and roll me a sense motive.

Skyscale |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
"What a handsome dragon..."

Ameo Wanstell |

sense motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Not bad for an untrained skill.

Korash the Spiky |

Korash isn't wearing a suit, but if it matters...
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

Vrog Skyreaver |

As you watch what are clearly Skyscale's stolen memories, the creatures that you are watching start off very excited to examine a dragon, but as time goes on, they get more and more distracted: they smile less, talk with less enthusiasm, and they are not as thorough as they were when the memories first start.

Ameo Wanstell |

As you watch through this, you can clearly tell that whatever happened here was building up. They become increasingly distracted. In the beginning they are clearly more thorough with their research, then toward the end the get sloppy. Perhaps fighting among the ranks or war, but that is just my speculation.

Skyscale |

"What are they saying about the dragon, though..?"

Korash the Spiky |

"O...kay? Maybe we should ask machine what they were fighting, then."

Ameo Wanstell |

Good idea Korash. Perhaps their are other recordings were we can see. Machine show me other video.
