Korash the Spiky |

"The people of this strange metal world have must sky weapons greater than my enemies of home, Isabela. Can not, in good conscience, return not with them."

Skyscale |

"Why is no one on the bed. We should get on the bed."

Isabela_Calista De-Romano |

"After you Sky, O your to big, well then let me get one switched on and see if I can get the bed bigger to fit you young Scaly butt"
She jokes, Her mood seems to have lifted from cold ruthlessness and business like coldness mixed with low level frustration and anger to one of optimistic enquiry and Jovial cold heartless ruthlessness.
Under her hard outer shell is a diamond hard inner shell that at 1 kelvin :)

Skyscale |

Sky looked to Ameo, then Calista, then to Korash, then back to Calista. He grumbled and whined in his native tongue. "I can't understand any of you..." he pouted, as he willed the egg-suit off, shaking his body like a dog trying to remove water. He took off the crate, and dug through it, finding two more egg suits, putting those on, and putting the 'broken' ones back into his hoard, as the others continued to discuss what to do. At least he could understand them, while he worked.

Vrog Skyreaver |

It takes a bit of fiddling, but you can (somehow) find the icon for your suit itself.
As Skyscale presses the power button on it, and the suit falls off of him into a bunch of incredibly tiny things that look like scales, although sized for a Fine sized creature. Skyscale can no longer see icons (obviously) and he notices something else as well: The red that was covering him is gone. He is what the young people would call "in the buff". He then quickly redons a pair of new orb suits.
All of the icons return. After going through the steps that Isabela gave you, you are able to change the language setting....to Celestial.
If you were able to speak Celestial, you would now be able to understand the repeating message. Unfortunately, you are now not even able understand your companions any longer, as they are speaking in a language you do not know.

Skyscale |

Sky didn't touch the translation settings anymore, and clambered aboard the bed, hopefully not having wasted too much time. He was divinely curious about what it would do!

Skyscale |

But how was the porridge?
Sky flops off of the bed a few times... and then shakes his head. "The beds do not magically change my size. There must be another answer. Also... it needed more shiny things. Very uncomfortable."

Isabela_Calista De-Romano |

GM still waiting on an activation of one of the bed devices and what the text says around it.
Re post - GM she activates one while not on it,
"I think theses are transportation dolly's, if they are we can carry Skys hord on them. Also there must be a medical center around here if there are dollys, look for other doors, I want to get info before this drink stops working"

Korash the Spiky |

"Not carrying those everywhere we go. Large, heavy, loud, slow, terrible tactical."

Vrog Skyreaver |

While the bed that Skyscale is on will not activate when he is on it, when you active one of the other beds, an arm extends and then detaches from the other side of the machine from the bed and then moves in a circle around the bed and machine (it basically goes up and over the machine and bed and then underneath it). when it returns to it's starting position, it reattaches and then collapses back into the machine. the icon says "Please place a patient on the bed to begin scan."

Korash the Spiky |

Korash stands guard, suspiciously.

Vrog Skyreaver |

You lay on the bed (which is more comfortable than it looks) and activate the machine. The arm extends out and a wave of light washes over you as it rotates around you. When it slides back under the bed, the voice you heard earlier says "The patient is in good health. Vital signs strong and within acceptable parameters for her age and species. System is showing that subject's implants are malfunctioning. Please take to repair station as soon as possible to have repaired."

Skyscale |

Skyscale collects his armor-flakes absentmindedly as he watches Calista climb aboard the machine.

Korash the Spiky |

Korash amuses himself by growing tendrils in the shape of the mysterious symbols he is surrounded by.

Ameo Wanstell |

Well since I can speak and read Celestial I am going to give that egg suit another shot.
Ameo then removes his armor and puts the egg suit back on.
Now lets see if I can get this Celestial language flipped on.
He then starts messing with the switches for the languages.

Isabela_Calista De-Romano |

"It's a medical scanner, it says my implants are broken and I should have them fixed, this needs to be done repear staion, this is the place we need to fine. This thing knows my ease if it knows mine it knows yours. I would think this repear plave is close to her, "
Then she talks to the device. And her suit.
"show location of repear center and msp, giving root from here to there"
If it dos nothing she will look in the hid controls for a map.

Korash the Spiky |

"If you can read the walls, maybe look walls for medicine repair word?"

Korash the Spiky |

"You been looking for this machine, service implants, and complaining all day. Just use it then."

Ameo Wanstell |

I am not so sure about these "beds", they could be cursed. There are some terrible magics that can do very bad things to the curious.

Skyscale |

Sky looked to Ameo, tilting his head. "Why?"

Skyscale |

"No, no. Not you. I know why you want the thing done. I meant Ameo. Why would people make permanent things that hurt people? That doesn't make any sense. Hurting people in the moment, because you need to is okay. But why would you make things that just hurt people to hurt people?"

Ameo Wanstell |

Skyscale, there are beings in the universe that re purely evil to the core. Wanting only to harm others.

Skyscale |

"Why would they only wish to harm others? What does one gain from that?"

Skyscale |

Skyscale nodded slowly to that. "I suppose they do not." After a moment of watching Calista sit on the new bed, and start to -probably- fiddle with the controls (he was pretty sure that's why she was wiggling), he spoke up once more, "How does one teach mental stability?"

Isabela_Calista De-Romano |

"Mental Stability is a speciality of my culture, we are trained in the ways of Pasionics to use them a mind must have mental stability. Even if emotion powers you abilitys you MUST have control of your mind. you MUST focus it. I disagree with Ameo, evil is all relative to the mind perceives it and the mind that identifies with it. What as 1st glance looks evil to someone on the outside. Say the killing of all the children at a school, may be seen as a logical and just deed by the perpetrator. If that perpetrator is religious and sees the school and its teaching as heretical or harmful to their god or culture. Others of the same faith my see that act not only a just one but a needed act. mental stability has little to do with such evil, Faith memetics and cultural excepted norms has. One can not defuse a faith, one can only encourage it to implode under its own fanaticism and shape what is left. We have experience of this. We have allowed worlds to fall into religious fanaticism, bottling them and waiting until that strain of their faith has burnt itself out with a orgy of killing and persecution of the untrue believers. Then we have made contact again and started trade once more. We it evil of us to sit back an look on. Undauntedly unspeakably evil, but what more could we do, enter that world and become oppressing over lords? Kill every one of a faith and burn every relic to the ground. No we sat back and let a whole world learn form its mistake or die by it. Its not our job to make the universe a better place for the stupid. Nature has one rule when it comes to civilisations, Any civilisation stupid enough to itself extinct deserves to die."
She looks at them
"My civilisation is old, very old and we have seen civilisations come and go, do you know what kills more civilisations on worlds. GREED! the wonten exploitation of a species supporting eco system to pay for unsustainable culture of GREED. World to polluted with toxins, poisoned air, land and seas. You know I have even seen worlds and species that know what they where doing, that's right they KNEW it, they talk endlessly about it and do nothing until it was all far to late. In most cases there was a ruling elite who used every trick and power to ridicule and ferment denial of the fact that their pour greed was killing the species. If you want EVIL there is it Ameo, the most evil act imaginably. Deliberately killing your own world life supporting capacity to you can have the good life. Who would be so stupid as to let 1% of the population do as they liked to the point of killing you and your world. A being must be really Mental unstable to allow that, that are they are to engrosses in planed distractions or faith to care if they lived or died, I have no idea why I am telly you this, you three come form fairy land and have no understanding of mass industrialisation and the dangers it holds."

Korash the Spiky |

"Hunger, yes," Korash says, "And boredom. Many species kill because nothing better, amusement wicked at heart."
"But Skyscale, if all on your world as naive as you, your world may not be much longer."
"Calista—are you using the medical device on headmetal, or should we move on?"

Skyscale |

"Killing people is wrong, if you can help it. I cannot think of a time when it would be necessary to harm an egg-clutch. It is simply not acceptable. And to stand idly by and watch as others die is also evil. Surely there is more to it than 'We chose not to intervene'. You do not let a youngling walk off of a cliff before it can fly. He shakes his body enthusiastically.
"What is naive about not understanding why people do things they know are wrong? It seems so... impossible."

Skyscale |

Sky's people aren't exactly more nice. :P Sky just comes from an isolated pocket on his planet. Though, it's also true, that children are effectively never targeted except by true evil, and as a general rule, conflict is kept to singular dragons and perhaps their close friends. Greed is very much a problem for Sky's culture, though.
"But you just said that you've watched worlds destroy themselves. Is that not the same as killing? Is it not your duty to intervene and save what you can? Imagine that the skarrels were going to devour all of their foodstuffs. All of it, there would be no more. Sky apparently understood the concept of zero, so he has that going for him! "If I were to stand by and do nothing but watch the skarrels eat everything, until there is nothing left for them to eat, then watched them starve... that would be evil. There would even be no more skarrels to eat next year. That would be very bad, skarrels are tasty."

Ameo Wanstell |

My planet has had a number of evil people of the eons. We developed a system of punishment, that when deemed by the local residents that such a person was responsible for evil acts, they are banished to the Elemental plane of Fire. We use power magics to bind them there, with the hopes of keeping a peaceful world for all.
Some do not agree with this permanent punishment, but they are in a minority. We do not listen to the minority on my world. It is the will of the many that wins out.

Skyscale |

"That is a very strange punishment. Only some of my people are not harmed by fire, some are even harmed significantly more by it. That does not sound like a very fair punishment. What if a truly evil being was not harmed by fire, and you sent them there. They would be mean to all of the fire elementals and there would be nothing that they could do. Also, what if the minority does not like something that the majority likes. Like Zarfles? I do not like Zarfles, but most do. Would I be forced to partake in Zarfles in your home?"

Ameo Wanstell |

I am not sure what a Zarfles is, but the rule of the many is the will of the many.

Skyscale |

"They are like the thing that Korash told us not to touch that filled the hoard. But you eat it. And it makes the lights change colors and swim. I do not enjoy it. But because most people do, I would have to eat the Zarfles. That does not sound like a good way to create a society."

Ameo Wanstell |

Well what you can eat is not normally regulated, although what you can not eat sometimes are. For instance, there is a type of plant if eaten will kill you. Those are strictly prohibited from eating.

Skyscale |

"What is the punishment for eating the plant that kills you? If it does not work because you are too strong for it, I mean."
