Yet another Homebrew by yours truly.
Intro:
You're enjoying a drink and a meal at the lonesome drake Inn when the Innkeeper approaches. "Beg my pardon but you seems the adventuring type and I was wondering if you could do something for me. There is a door in my basement and I didn't know it was there until last night. I'd like to know were it leads...Could you go have a look? I'll pay of course."

"Hurnn... Well I suppose. Going into unknown, possibly trapped mysterious doors is a thing I do, what with being an adventurer an all. But I will cost you, mind you. An ale on the house an ten minutes ta get my head in the game an I'll be right along there."
Sounds intresting, not a lot to go on but I'm in if you can provide a bit more info.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"My family once had a bucket appear mysteriously in the shed. I went to investigate it, and found myself alone on a lighted stage where I was compelled to perform Don Minturelli's libretto, "Ox Wagon Girls of the Lower Forty" with accompaniment by a band of Goblins (the trombone player and I, well, she was a spunky girl and we, well, never mind). How I long for another adventure, not quite like that one, but you know, something just as exciting, but this time, perhaps, without the coconut custard pies and all that that entails."

It's a bit more than a dungeon crawl the first part leads to the discovery of a vault among other things and then there is trying to find the keys to said vault while other events are happening. Think of it as a sandbox adventure in Magnimar and the surrounding area.
Level 1 adventure, 20 point buy, average starting gold. For any 3rd party material ask me first.

DireMerc |

alright as in my other campaing I will be going with a maximum of 6 players.
once you character is approved go ahead and make a post in the gameplay area.
I'm gonna try to check some today but I don't have much time to do so. I'm using my phone right now cause im waiting but tonight I've got a date so I wont be on.
changeling bard is fine

If everyone who posted before joins in my games will be full. Since they posted their interest first they will be given priority. However is something should happen and spot opens up I will let you know.
2 traits each yes.
If you taking rich parents I expect an explanation in your background and no more than 50% of your gold spent on one item.
The trait heirloom weapon I am modifying for this campaign. You can take this trait to begin the game with a masterwork weapon. It grants no other bonus.
All other traits are as written.

Gobo Horde |

Ok heres mine :)
I still need to get his items, backstory and an alias set up, sorry it took a bit of time, I got quite busy yesterday.
One question, you say campaign traits are allowed, would you allow the Finding Haleen trait? I ask because it is a quite powerful trait, granting as much as toughness and the skilled race trait combined. My character could quite use it though, having low skill ranks and hps! If not I plan on taking either the trait that makes your body a divine focus or one that grants perception as a class skill.

I think I'm all done so I'll visit the game thread now, but I have a semi serious question about a particular trait and bard-i-ness
The Charming Trait allows me to add a +1 to the DC of language dependent spells cast on creatures who might be attracted to me, and a +1 bonus on bluff and diplomacy
Now here is my question - do these apply to the Bardic "spell like abilities"?
and since I am ambiguously bi-curiously sexually undefined, can I use this on all the boys and girls who think I'm sexy?

Gobo Horde |

Oh ya, I wanted to ask the group something.
I dont plan on being the party band-aid but I do have the ability to heal and could do so effectively enough ooc. My question is would you rather me take the variant channeling: earth, cutting my healing down by half but making my channel harm create difficult ground for a minute or stay vanilla?
I plan on sticking close to Minimax providing minor buffs and sweet aid anothers and acting like a secondary sack of meat. I can step back and help any party member that gets threatened with +4 dodge bonuses and other buffs as needed.
Also I am serously debating dropping my cha even further to a 7 so I can have a dex of 12 and provide 1 extra aid another a turn, but I am loath to drop a stat that far :) Your guys thoughts?
Mini Maximus I am surprised you didn't trade out your ability to rhyme on purpose for improved unarmed strike! How can you live up to your name if you don't do that?

Waglinde |

I'd be happy to be the small box of bandaids, you know the one with the little circle and square bandaids that you never want to use until the whole box is empty (I'll take CLW if it will help)
I haven't finalized my cantrips or spells yet, so sue me for that, and sue me for this
Wags throws her hand down at the floor as if she has tossed something down, but her hand is empty, and nothing happens
"Smoke bomb" she shouts, after nothing happens and casually walks away.

I plan to play a Samurai, which have the mount class skill, I was wondering if instead of a horse I could either
a) have a dire wolf
b) have a wolf which at lvl 7 becomes one size bigger (large) and at such time can be used as a mount (wouldn't have a mount for inbetween time)
