Game Master Nimon

Based in Golarion, players will take on the role of Azlanti pure bloods who are part of an orginization known as The Harbingers. They set off attempting to rewrite history and bring forth the Age of Glory.

Male Human Dungeon Master

You wake up with a headache like you have never had before, strange flashes of memories invade your mind as you try to asses where you are. You remember a large blue creature with six arms, you notice you are chained, you remember large Gnollish mutants with rifles, you notice you are in some sort of desert sitting in a cage, you remember everyone with a spellbook being forced to try and cast spells repeatedly,but no matter how hard they tried spells would not work, you notice the cage is moving. You look around and see others chained to you, humans also. They look strangly familar to you, but for some reason you can not recall where you have seen them.

Appruptly the wheeled cage comes to a stop. You are outside of a large gated wall made of wood and random things tied together. You hear strange gutteral language being spoken back and forth by the Gnoll mutants guarding you, and some on the wall. The gate opens loudly and the cage continues forward. You see a large courtyard, surrounded by buidlings. In the courtyard many combatants are practicing fighting with many differant styles of combat. The cage halts again, and the doors open. You and those chained to you are forceably pulled from the cage, and lined up. You can barley stand.

Stand still slaves, the master wants to inspect you. A large Gnoll says in common with a heavy gutteral accent.

You all have the fatigued status at the momment, you have been travling for days in the desert. You are all chained together, and are wearing rags.

Evenor stands up proud even when chained, he looks at those around him and feeling familiar to them without knowing the reason makes him really uneasy. He looks straight to the gnoll and says slowly but firmly in common Who is this so called master?


Growling the Gnoll shouts in reponse to Evenor You will see the master soon enough worm!

from a wagon behind the wheeled cage you see crates of items being unloaded, some of them look familar, but you do not remember why.

Xideus staggers a little as he is pulled from the cage, but regains his composure gracefully and continues to walk forward with the rest of the prisoners. He finally comes to a halt and half spins to orient hs body towards his capturers. He whips his hair back, trying to keep it out of his face. His hands clench tightly as the Gnoll Mutant begins to speak. His deep-violet eyes stare with muderous intent towards the foul creature.

Filthy creatures must have captured me while I was sleeping. They'll pay soon enough. He smirks at the thought of disembowling the gnoll in front of him. You'll see worms soon enough.

"Why would they have taken me?" Jazismus thinks to himself.

"I think...I think you have the wrong man. I am no warrior to be thrown in a pit fight. I am Jazismus Kanon rising star of the Immortal Son playhouse. I'm an actor and... and harpist. Please let me go!"

The young thespian looks about in horror at the cruel surroundings he has found himself in.


A hulking six armed Giant comes out from an adjacent building.
Master no want see them now, he say give them food and sleep. Tommorow make them fight Snarlk. He say me bring him the dwarf girl. The brute grabs a young dwarven female that was attached to the chain gang, and with two hands breaks the end of the chain that connected her to the group, and tosses her over his shoulder.


No WAIT! The poor girl crys, as she is being hauled off. Damm you Elemion! she screams just befor being out of earshot.

While his body is exhausted and he struggles to stand, Akor's mind is racing as he studies his captors intently, sizing each one up, looking for any weaknesses.

When a fight is mentioned, his body tenses with wary excitement. That is a situation he could control, unlike the one he currently finds himself in.

Xara looks about her bleak surroundings, misery painting her otherwise beautiful face. "They're not going to just let you go," she says to nobody, misery colouring her voice as well as her features. "This is not quite the adventure Arodeth promised," she adds, more to herself than anybody.

Xideus speaks up for the first time, "You heard Hexaman, give us some food and sleep. Or... did it not get through your furry, thick, skull?" The smirk grows into a smile, revealing Xideus' white teeth, "Oh, and your master also said that you should allow us a bath and some fine clothing." He turns to Jazismus and nods his head, his hair falling in strings down in front of his eyes, "Isn't that right?" He then turns to the antentive man, Akor, to his other side, "You heard that too, right?"

YOU THINK I AM DUMB JUST BECAUSE I AM GNOLL!? You get sleep and food that is all! He and a few other humanoid mutants throw each of you into seperate cages for the night. You are given adequate meals, better then you expected in this place. The Gnoll dishing it out just laughs Enjoy your last meal, tommorow you die on Snarlk's blade!

You are all in adjacent cages and can hear eachother speak. You can do introductions and what not befor the morning

Out of Character a few points I want to touch on.

One thing I forgot to mention is that at this point you do not remember Arodeth, Once you all go to sleep we will do some rolls and what not to see who remembers what. After your first battle in the arena, if you are successful, you will go to sleep again. That is were we will play out the events that lead you to be captured. When you wake for a second time, you will remember all that was forgotten, and regain any levels "forgotten" in addition to some new abilities in the arena. This is a strange way to start out the campaign, but I just wanted to give some insight as to were it was going.

Xideus dusts himself off and goes to primping his hair and begins to eat, "Well it was worth a try... My name is Xideus Delorne." he extends his hand through the cage to his accomplice.

Akor shakes his fellow troublemaker's hand "Akor Scourgebane, an Inquisitor."

How much of ourselves do we remember? Do I know I'm an Inquisitor? or at least some sort of bounty hunter??

You remember everything befor you joined the harbingers. You have forgotten everythign about the harbingers, so you remember your initial training befor joining the harbingers(making you level 1 at the momment).

We've been missing Belros... He's been posting on his other aliases though. I'm liking the start of the campaign. It's dynamic, which can't be said for a lot of other campaigns.

Finishing his meal, Xideus stares off to the training grounds. He looks the weapons over trying to see one that fits his needs. "What the hell am I doing here?" he says a loud and then retreats to his thoughts, "Only a few magic tricks and a smidgen of training with the sword... This is going to be tough.

"My name is Jazismus Kanon, and I'm no warrior." the older man with dark hair and a clean shaven face says picking at his food. "So why am I even here!?"

He goes into a quiet reprieve for a few moments and then asks out loud, "I wonder if that dwarven woman is all right?"

Xideus interlaces his fingers and places them behind his head as he stares up towards the sky. "Humph. The better question is, how am I going to survive tomorrow?" The fatigue of the travel consumes him and he drifts off to sleep. Throughout the night he fades in and out.

You dream about electricity, pulsing through you, you concentrate and send it through a scimatar which connects to the flesh of a rotting bipedal creature. You vaguely remember Akor speaking to you about something called the harbingers

In the morning you wake to find a oddly cheery Dwarf outside of your cages, with him is the dwarven female from the day befor. Good morning! So glad to see you are all waking. As you may or may not be aware of, I am the Master of the Wasteland, but you can just call me Master that is fine. You are probably wondering where you are, why you are ect ect. You are in the Manawastes, specificly my humble residence within the spellscare desert. Well you see, Elemion wanted me to have you die in my illustrious arena.

The portly dwarf wipes the sweat off his brow and pauses for a momment.

A grand death that would be, but Elemion is a sly one and did not tell me you were all able to cast magic. And well you see, I have a previous agreement with my big blue friends here that anyone that can use magic is to be released to them.So, after some discussion, we have decided that if you should survive your first fight in my arena, then you shall be released to my Calikan friends here, who will try and see if you can recharge the wasteland! Isn't that exciting!? Well, I hope you do well.


the dwarven girl whispers Please save me, I do not know if this will help, but I saw Snarlk fighting in a practice last night. His right leg took a beating. Good luck

"If...if we survive? Jazismus says as he rises. "What exactly are we fighting? And wouldn't the Calikan, whoever they are, wish us to win?"

Questions for the DM:

Does it matter which of the PCs Jazismus remembers from the Harbringers? Or does it not really matter at this moment.

AND

Can you roll me a know check for a Calikan - cuze I have no idea but Jazismus might.

A large Gnoll comes over and kicks the dwarven girl to the ground The master wants you slave, you are his new pretty thing. Go to him now! The Gnoll turns his bloodred eyes to you in the cagesOK, the master wants me to tell you the rules of the arena. You get one weapon each, and you use them to try and kill Snarlk. Thats all you need to know. There better not be any questions! I will take you to the arena now, there you will get your weapons. If you try anything funny my friends will shoot you with the boomsticks. The Gnoll gestures to his fellow gnoll mutants who are all wielding firearms.

You will all be given one rusty weapon(has fragil quality) of your choice.You are in the mana wastes in an antimagic zone, not even supernateral abilities work here. You will have to work together to flank,manuver your opponet.

You remember that the manawastes were the result of the ancient war between Nex and Geb, leaving the entire area void of magic. You have heard of the Calikang in name only, something about them enslaving magic users and forcing them to attempt magic in hopes of the land regaining what it has lost. The antimagic zone does make it the ideal area for an arena type combat though, I could not tip you all off to it befor since I did not want it influencing your character creation. Mostly because this is just the intro, most of the campaign will not take place here.

Jazismus:
The manawastes are the result of the war between Nex and Geb, thousands of years ago. You have heard of the Calikang, blue giants with six arms often sought after to guard treasure. They have a strang zealotry when it comes to thier duties. In the manawastes they are known for capturing magic users and using them to try and rekindle the magic that has been lost.

Longspear will be there.

Walks nonchalantly into the arena without much care about the spectators. He grabs a scimitar of a nearby weapon rack and spins the blade in his hand, whipping it around. As the scimitar whiffs by his head he remembers the dream he had last night. Resting the blade to his side he looks to the proud archer, "Akor, you wouldn't happen to know anything about rotting creatures or a thing called the Harbringers would you?" He looks around the arena and shakes his head in disagreement about the whole thing.

OK! in the name of Aroden what is... as he looks around to see other people fighting in some sort of desert arena So... someone must be joking or I was not dreaming about gnolls with weird weapons then finally standing up well and looking for a weapon.

Xara sticks close to the others, especially Jazismus. She smiles faintly at him as she too grabs a longspear. She looks about for a chain shirt, or perhaps some studded leather.

Xideus:
You know that the Manawastes were created by the war between Nex and Geb many thousands of years ago. The result of all the high level magic resulted in many huge pockets of null magic in the region. No one knows for sure how to get magic to work here, the Calikang believe they can do it if they get enough casters to cast magic here, and for some reason they are dedicated to that task often enslaving traveling magic users of all types and forceing them to cast magic, attempt to that is.

Belros:
You had a dream about fighting along side Arodeth against some strange cultists that wear masks. You remember speaking with Evenor in the past about why you joined the Harbingers, suddenly you are holding his hand as he is dangling over a cliff edge.

In addition to rusty/fragil weapons of your choice, there is random pieces of armor that can be fashioned together to give you a +3 AC bonus, max dex +4, -2 check penalty. 30 max movement.


After you don your gear and weapons, a iron gate lowers in the hall ahead, you can hear the roar of the crowd start. Once you all make it past the gate it raises again. On the other end of the arena(aprox 60' away from you) enters Snarlk a very large Gnoll mutant.
The Master stands up from a balcony position and introduces the combatant Now to the time has come to test another champion and see if he is worthy of advancement. A vicious destroyer of all that opposses him Snalk! The crowd roars. In the crowd you can see a mix of mutant humanoids, half-orcs. The master and the dwarven girl seem to be the only dwarfs, around them are several Calikang bodyguards(blue giants with six arms).

Snarlk comes out and raises his large Nodachi in the air and howls. Prepare to die worms!

He holds the rusty longspear in a firm two handed grip waiting for this Snarlk to make a move. (ready action: attack if gnoll comes into range)

Xara also throws some armour on (AC 16, 17 when next to 2+ allies) and says, "Jazismus and I will protect our archer with the spears, the rest of you protect us. Wait till he gets close, then step out and flank him."

Xara sets her spear against a charge.

Snarlk will then do his and rest the intiative. Those who have not posted yet will react after snarlk on initative. I do not think Evenor will be posting, so I extened an offer to Tirion to join us.


This lumbering beast moves faster then expected and charges straight at Xara and Jazsimus apparently oblivious to any tactics being deployed.

1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 = 13 Bull Rush

Xara your attack of 17 missed, but because he is intiating a bullrush you get an attack of oppertunity.


His bull rush failed, Xideus you may flank him and attack, and Jazismus you may attack with flank bonus also. Akor your fient worked on him, so next round he has no dex against you.

Xideus jets off around the hulking gnoll, raising his scimitar above his left shoulder and slashes at the beast from behind.

Jazismus thrust out strongly the frail weapon. He then positions himself to help surround the mutant beast.

No idea for negs so just add them in. Think that is a miss anyway.
