There are no negatives for fragil weapons, that just means that if you roll a 1 your weapon gets the broken condition, but you can also choose to intentially break your weapon to confirm a crit.

Yes, Jazismus and Xideus missed. Xara still gets her AoO and Belros and Tirion will get attacks when they jump in .

Just a reminder, you all have 1 Hero Point so far which you can spend on any of the things listed in the APG. If you do not have the APG basicly you can spend them to reroll, cheat death, +8 to a roll befor it is rolled or +4 to a roll after. Things like that.

Puny humans I..i'll... Snarlk gasps for air and chokes on his own black blood. The Crowd mumbles, though some cheer and howl.

You did not sway the crowd sufficiently to gain a victory point, but you all were victorious and have recieved an additional Hero Point for your efforts.


This odd Dwarf jumps out of his seat with apparent glee. By an amazing upset the slaves have overcome Snarlk. Snarlk was not worthy to be a gladiator and has failed, but Lamashtu will accept his sacrifice and he shall walk with her in the here after. The Master says then makes his way down to the arena.

The Arena gate opens on the side that Snarlk came out of, and five Gnollish Mutants come out armed with rifles. Drop your weapons and stand down humans, the Master wants to speak to you.

The Gnolls have readied actions to fire and will if you resist.

The portly dwarf waddles across the arena with two calikang body guards. Perception checks, if you beat a DC15 then give me a Knowledge Nature and/or a heal check.

Marvelous, I did not think it was in you. Elemion is sly indeed, magic users that can fight as well. It would be a disservice to Lamashtu to give you to the Calikang, I shall keep you and train you as proper Gladiators, isn't that great!?


Also give me Knowledge Religion to Identify Lamashtu.

One of the Calikang begins to speak angrily to the Master in a strange language that incorperates pounding fists on its chest.

The Masters face contorts from a jolly figure to an almost demonic shape.

The Calikang clearly cowed leaves the arena.

You will recieve additional Gladitorial training with a favored weapon. You may choose any weapon you are proficient with. With that weapon you have the Performance quality, giving you +2 to performance combat checks when wielding it.

we are going to play out some major events from your past in this dream. When you awaken, you will remember who you are as the effects of the magic and brainwashing is removed by the Manawastes strange antimagic zone.

You are being knighted by Arodeth, she uses a strange scepter to do this. Rise Harbingers, Defenders of the Prophecy, Knights of the Age of Glory.

You are sent on your first mission We are changing our ways a bit from when my father ran things, we are going to attempt smaller changes first. One of these small changes, that will ultimatly bring about a large change, is to open the spire of Nex. It is known that prior to invading absolam, Nex visited many ruins in ancient Osirion. I want you to investigate one such ruin, and get me a copy of any stela you find and secure any artifacts....


At this point you have any gear you would have with full class potential and 1 master craft weapon and 1 potion of cure light wounds.

Your dream shifts, you find yourself inside a strange Osirion ruin shaped like a stone-henge, but with a stone cover. Inside is a strange Mummy-like creature.

You can go ahead and list everything. When you wake up you will just not have it on you, but soon after you will have it returned in one way or another. They have no means of detecting anything you own as magical, and really could care less here because it is useless for the most part.

Jazismus drops the longspear as soon as the fight is over and wipes his sweaty hands n his robe. He listens as the dwarf speaks and bites his retort not wishing to become a gladiator, supposing that if he doesn't they will just kill him instead.

He takes up a rapier as his weapon of choice and learns to use it to please the crowd, much to his chagrin.

In the dream....

"I thank you Lady Arodeth," Jazismus says as he knells before the woman who has done so much for him."I will help to learn more about my bloodline, and to help bring about the Age of Glory to help all mankind."

When the dream shifts to the spire he holds his thin bladed rapier and shield at the ready.

Starting Gold is Full Class Potential meaning if you roll 3d6x10 you would get 180 gold(18x10). In addition to that you get 1 master craft weapon and 1 potion of cure light. In the Dream you do have spells and all of that.

Jazismus:
You know that Lamashtu is a God of monsters, and is often worshiped by Gnolls and other less civilized humanoids. They are also a God of Madness.

Herani:
You notice that the Master does not walk like a dwarf should walk. When you think about it he has some odd features for a dwarf, his hands a bit big, so are his ears, and his legs are not proportionate to his body.

Nice looks like this one might get to go first.

Once the arena combat is over, Akor leans on his bow as he listens to the dwarf. He isn't too happy with this training, as he was sure he was already capable of be an able combatant, yet for some reason he wasn't. However, it wasn't such a bad idea, and would give him time to do what he does best: Find the truth of this mysterious situation.

Following the defeat of the gnoll, Herani dropped her dagger and stepped back with drooping shoulders. She looked stunned from the specter of having to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Turning to her fellow gladiators, she thanked them all for saving her from what would have been a quick and painful death had the gnoll landed a blow on her.

During training, Herani chose a light crossbow as her weapon of choice.

I was thinking on a MWK breastplate or maybe even chain mail if that is too expensive to have, I have a double weapon that is the heirloom weapon of choice for me just wondering about the breastplate or chain mail

Ok, equipment updated. I have a masterwork dagger which is my bonded item, and a masterwork light crossbow which is the game weapon. If this needs to be changed, please let me know.

Unless I think that it would be counterproductive, I will cast Jolt at the Mummy.
Jolt - Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

The touch misses the mummy, instead causing the the mummy's few remaining hairs to stand on end from the static.

@Xideus - not that many(7), and I am waiting to finish the current dungeon in one to get out as everyone is just posting their actions and there is no interaction between the players or from the DM - kinda like playing with a bunch of robots - booooooring.

I am sure you all noticed, but did anyone see that the Master did not walk like a dwarf? In fact he had some very strange features for a dwarf - not to mention that he is associating with gnolls and giants which are generally a dwarf's racial enemies. He seemed to have very large hands and his legs seemed out of proportion to his body.

Recaping fight, Belros trips Mummy, Xara's eagle flanks and wounds it. Xideus clumsily finishes it off, having to adjust his swing mid-motion as it falls to the ground.

The dream shifts, you are standing outside of the Spire of Nex with a scroll of deciphered code found in the Osirion ruins. The magical words are supposed to open a portion of the Spire.

Decide amongst you who wants to read the scroll. Post once in character about who you think would be a good choice, and why. I will tally up the results and the one picked will read it.

Together you think that this combination of Words is very strong. Through this research you both realize there is another form of arcane magic that can be used that strips the traditional rituals down to a simple word of power. You both may continue to research Words of Power. I will assume you both do so unless you are not interested. When I get home, I will look at the UM and make some determinations for how I want the rolls to happen, but when you wake up you from this dream of the past, you will have many more options in the realm of Arcane Magic. As far as side effects go, there is one passage that seems strange to you, it mentions Eye for an Eye, but it does not seem to have an arcane componet to it.

There is a strong wind that blows like a typhon for just a momment then it is calm.

Akor:
In your mind you hear a calming voice I accept Akor of the Azlanti. Eye for an Eye. You suddenly have a massive headache that is almost paralizing. You close your eyes to endure the pain, when you open them again, your left eye is now noticeably differant. It appears simular to that of a cat, with a slender green pupil. You have the Clouded Vision curse as an Oracle, except it is a Supernatural Ability. You can also cast Detect magic at will as a spell-like ability and automaticly gain full information of any items in the 60' radius as if you focused on them. The clouded vision will improve based on your hit dice. Should you ever take Oracle class, you can not choose another curse, and you must change your deity to the Peacock Spirit if you so choose that path. You also have gained insight into old divine magic, you can now research divine words of power. This will not replace your current spells only increase your options. You stare at the tower and see glyphs yo did not see befor. You instintivly read the glyphs outloud and a passage opens.
