Something is amiss in Sandpoint. Will this unsung band of heroes bound together and defeat the great evil?

Tierce aren't you going to get sick of seeing me in a total of 5 games? :)

If your RPing style is different for each character, I probably won't notice. For me it's easy, there's a significant difference in attitude between Havok and Aldon, and even more different for Lady Natalia. Caelus Vraie and Tierce Vraie however are very similar, mainly because they are twin brothers.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Wooooo. Three hour break to kill on a near-empty campus. I'd take kidsitting any day of the week. D:

F Gnome Bard/1

Just a heads-up -- I'll be away Friday evening through sometime Sunday. Going up to a family home in rural NH, where there's little cell service and no Internet. So Olly will be abnormally quiet for a bit there. :)

no worries, weekend posts can drop. I'm sick right now, so my posting will be low as well

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Still got that cold? :(

yeah, but its worse

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

You're supposed to get better, not worse. Go take some decongestants, eat some garlic chicken noodle soup, drink plenty of fluids and get some sleep.

F Gnome Bard/1

How you feeling, Tierce? Hope you're on the mend!

I'm surviving. Haven't slept in a few days, but I think tonight I may actually get to sleep

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Tried taking any PM cold medicine?

I'm an asthmatic, can't take any cough syrups

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

:(

Some positive energy sent your way Tierce. Heal fast.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

And more positive energy from the cleric. And a cure light wounds. And a bit of luck. And resistance. I'm afraid I can't cast Remove Disease yet, though.

On that note, I should prepare my spells for today! Does anyone know if you can spontaneously convert your domain spells into cure spells? I've never been sure.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I discovered this a couple of days ago, so I'm hoping whatever trouble we stumble into today will give me time to prepare adequately.

Magic: Preparing Divine Spells (PRD):
When preparing spells for the day, a divine spellcaster can leave some of her spell slots open. Later during that day, she can repeat the preparation process as often as she likes. During these extra sessions of preparation, she can fill these unused spell slots. She cannot, however, abandon a previously prepared spell to replace it with another one or fill a slot that is empty because she has cast a spell in the meantime. Like the first session of the day, this preparation takes at least 15 minutes, and it takes longer if she prepares more than one-quarter of his spells.

totally forgot Olly was away for the weekend, will do up a post shortly so you all don't get bored

F Gnome Bard/1

I'm back from the non-net-enabled wilds of New Hampshire. Sorry to keep you all waiting. :)

I am posting to give the group fair notice !!!

I will be leaving for vacation Wed Aug 15th and plan on returning either the 29th or 30th. (depends on how many stops we make while driving).

I may be able to keep updated while on the road but I will be completely unavailable after the 17th (I am not going to pay the wi-fi fees on the cruise ship).

Tierce can you please bot Noro if you like.

I may have let you know before but wanted to announce it again so there is no confusion.

and just a note for everyone I will have a margaritta (or Mojito, or something else made with rum) for each of you on a Cozumel beach, and another at a Jamacian night spot, and probably several more pool side on the deck of the ship.

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Have fun you lucky guy. Have a strawberry daiquiri or an amaretto sour for me.

Ed, I got your previous message and I will be botting Noro. Can you send me a pm of a few pointers on how she would act in normal circumstances.

Did you tell Voice that Ky will be out?

F Gnome Bard/1

Have a fabulous time, and I'll enjoy the margaritas and mojitos vicariously!

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Awesome, have a blast. Definately a Mojito for me! Yum!

So I had a sinus infection, and man did that suck. I am on the mend again so you will be seeing more posts from me, not just as a GM, but as a player in the various online campaigns that other people are with me on

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

I've had plenty of those myself and will second the opinion that they really do suck.

Glad you're feeling better and can post more in the five games I get to play with ya. :)

I really want you gob trying to explain the birds and the bees with the hafling. You can just think of it as practice for when your little one is old enough to learn about that stuff. :)
{I have two boys so I'm dumping that job off on my husband.)

Have a great time Noro, see you when you get back.

My wife says that I have to have the talk with both of my kids, no matter then gender as she won't be able to do it. I have no problem with it, it's just a function of life. I'll be like Eugene Levy in American Pie

F Gnome Bard/1

Ugh, sinus infections are no fun at all. Glad to hear you're on the mend!

Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1

It might be me but the whole concept of "the talk" and a designated parent seams silly. Chances are that by the time you, as a parent, think the time is right your kid has already heard many things from both friends and TV/internet. Besides, should both parents be able to talk about things like that? (Like I said, may just be me or some sort of cultural difference between US/Canada and Europe)

Just to be clear, I don't mean to offend anyone or say that he/she's wrong, just shine my light on it.

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

It's your job as a parent to talk to your kids about all aspects of life, regardless of what they may have already heard from friends and tv/internet. Neglectful parenting is a serious problem.

Male Half-Elf (Drow-Blooded) Fighter (Weapon Master) 1 /\/\ HP 12/12 | AC 16 | T 12 | FF 14 | F +4 | R +2 | W +1 (+2 vs Enchant) | Init +4 | Per +4 |

Karas, do you mean a scenario like this?

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Darn it Darius, it's your fault I'm watching the blue collar comedy tour now...

Absolutely, I agree wholeheartedly. the point I was trying to make was more on the how instead of the what though. Turning something like sex into some giant issue by having The Talk is rather silly if you ask me, since it's just a normal thing like walking and brushing your teeth. It absolutely deserves attention and needs talking but many parents (seen it happen all around me) make it something big and dramatic.

The way my parents did it was by simply answering any questions I or my brothers had, and not as part of some big talk but when they came up. The only thing they emphasized is that porn is as realistic as Lord of the Rings and one shouldn't consider things you see as normal.

And yes Darius, that is similar to what I meant

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

I remember reading an article that said 50 shades of grey ruins sex for women as much as porn ruins sex for guys.

And that counted as "the Talk" it doesn't have to be anything big or dramatic as long as parents are actually willing to talk about. Now if we can just get parents to talk to their kids more about bullying...

Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1

As long as you see both/either as nothing but exaggerated entertainment I don't see a problem. It's two of those things one shouldn't take seriously (imo)

I haven't read 50 shades though, nor do I plan to.

thankfully my wife thinks 50 shades is silly, so she won't read it, thank god

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Apparently there are some people who can't see that and it causes them problems.

One of the reasons I've broken up with a guy before was he paid more attention to porn than to me. That is not helpful to your self-esteem.

That's just stupid (on his side obviously). I guess it can be quite funny in hindsight though.

Thankfully my wife thinks the same thing.

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Nope, still not.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Is it bad that my only exposure to this fifty shades thing is The voice of Iago from Alladin reading it? (That and people whinging about it in the paper.) Probably hands down the funniest and most painful thing I've watched all week.

Female Human (Varisian) Harrow Sorceress / 1

Wow. That is just wrong to hear that voice talk about his clitoris.

I think I'll stick to watching more child friendly things like lil cthulu.

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Bahaha, thats fantastic.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Since a 8oz galss full of rum isn't a shot I think Darius is sooooooo hot

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

Hey, what bar is giving you 8oz glasses and where do I find it?

I mean uh... Yeesh. These women and their drow.

I need to win the lottery, so I can quit my comfy soul destroying government job and buy my RPG and Board Game Store. Have a dozen tables with leather seats that people can play Pathfinder or Magic or 4ed

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

I need to... Not buy any RPG books for a long time. I actually bankrupted my meagre textbook fund for this semester, and any work coming my way all but dried up. I've not had a long enough holiday to go job hunting either, but the RotR hardback and all of Skull and Shackles did a number on my wallet. D:

Yeah, I have a monthly budget for Pathfinder books, as I don't play WoW or tor or any monthly paid video games anymore. In fact I don't play any video games anymore at all. So I took all that funding and put it towards Pathfinder.

This month was the worst, RotRL's anniversary book, Last S&S book, Bestiary Box Set, and two more days and more are coming out! Need to get the Ultimate Equipment book, the magnimar book, Paths of Prestige, and the Varisia book.

Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1

I just want Paths of Prestige, but I might just convince a friend to buy it so I can then proceed to borrow it indefinitely (or until he wants it back)

M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1

My players wont let me buy the new paper minis. It's probably for the best. :P

I can do without rules books, but I want to hoard as much material for Varisia/Magnimar as I can, and that means the two latest ones. I havent seen Blood of Angels yet either...
