tis true; short enough time I still have the scars
Lord Jareen turns fully and looks directly at amorial and a'mar. giving them a considering look, he states simply you both act like you just left his audience not to long ago...
A'Mar of House Issola
Note I keep my dex bonus even if flat footed.
servants filter into the great hall, passing out drinks to the nobles. Servants wander about the large food table, gathering food for lords and ladies to nibble on. Chairs are pulled from the back rooms and set behind the nobles so that they may feast in the same spot.
overall, a sense of happiness over takes the room from the change of venue after witnessing the last duel.
Jolial and Marten are successful in passing themselves off as servants as they grab food and drink for lord A'mar and Lady Tesliin. Idle chit chat bounces off the walls as people fill their bellies.Lord Jareen, since he was closet to the party, sits next to Amorial, inviting Rhoekk to join them. with a grimace, Rhoekk does as requested.
the talk goes from topics of the weather, of the lord dragon, trade between Cairhein and Tear, who is meant to rule cairhein, what countries have what kind of troops and force sizes, tactics, logistics and other military related things. Lord Jareen shows his mastery of talk, asking vague questions at first and leading to a point. At first, everyone is contributing to the conversation, but soon enough only A'mar and Rhoekk seem to be replying. Lady Tesliin seizes upon a silent moment and inquires to his substansial donations to the library, to which he says in a modest tone libraries shouldnt be just for the rich, they should be enjoyed by everyone.A bell rings out, indicating that a new round is about to be formed.

I barely caught sight of the creatures attacking the party. Enough to get off a slight warning, but not enough to avoid being struck by the thing's sword. I immediately embraced the source, anticipating the waves of pleasure combined with the oily, nauseating presence of the taint.
Surprise round: Embrace saidin. HP: 26
I assumed that Joliar was crossdressing, so embracing Saidar made sense to me.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
Does Jarneen look like he's going to do anything? My action may depend on whether he moves.
1.) If Jarneen moves, Rhoekk will 5 ft step into his vacated space and attack G1. Power Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 272d6 + 8 ⇒ (3, 3) + 8 = 14
2.) If Jarneen does nothing, or squeels like a wetlander girl, Rhoekk will move him clear of the fighting via the Reposition maneuver. Hopefully, as an ally, Jarneen will not resist. Rhoekk will move him into J9 if successful, and then 5ft step into his space. Combat Maneuver: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
3.) If Jarneen joins the battle and attacks G1, Rhoekk will throw a spear at G4. Deadly Aim 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 - 2 = 212d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 4) + 4 = 13

Martens shout rings through the hall, moments before blades flash and people begin to moan in pain. A voice filled with pain; its Lord Jareen as a foot of black steel is seen proturding from his abdomen. Another voice mingles with jareens, its Tesliin, and her scream is more from shock at feeling a sword cut off a length of hair than real damage.
Jolial turns at marten's shout and manages to see a flash of steel gash across Marten's upper arm.
please post your round 1 actions. once everyone has posted, i will post the gary men and summarize. Rhoekk, a'mar, ill allow you to repost since actions have changed. also, no shield for A'mar

Another sword flashed down, hitting me and cutting deep. I saw all of the grey men, legends and nightmares come to life. Yelling, I tried to clear the hall. With the people gone, I could do some damage.
There are four of them! Everyone GET OUT!
I took a step away from the now burning foe, and let loose with a fireball, hoping to consume the thing.
5ft step to L12, fireball at level 2. 5ft area of damage, centered on G3. Direct line of sight, I think.
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 3) + 8 = 17
Joliar Belthoval
Joliar backed slowly away from the chaos, trying to look like simply one of the hysterical party goers in flight. The raging torrent of saidin filled him and all other concerns and feelings were simply gone.
Marten's fires on one of the attackers helped Joliar get his eyes to stop swimming around them. Then he watched with detached annoyance as the bead of light shot out of Marten's hand before detonating against the shadowspawn. Light but this fool just announced his presence to the whole party. So much for his cover.
As the flames of the fireball died down Joliar wove cable thick strands of Air, trying to stop the attacking men without alerting anyone to his true nature.
Round 2:
Move action to move with the chaos towards the edge of the room.
Then Harden Air on G3, covering the head. Using 4th level slot for a 3rd level casting (stupid lack of Affinities.) Ref save DC 17.

It would appear that Rhoekk, Amar, Marten, and Joreen all beat the unknown's perception DC; can we see who it is and where he is?
On a side not, Rhoekk's perception bonus is +14, and not +13 as you have listed above.
A'Mar of House Issola
so I guess there is no bonus to use the warder sword two handed; so will use it one handed and i guess draw a dagger to parry with when convienent or a shield if one comes available

Round 2
Well, I'm pretty sure our ruse is done with.
Tesliin steps back from the shadowspawn near her and sends her own weaves of air against one of them behind..
At work, so I don't have my book, so please bear with me on mechanics. Arms of Air against the one at Q9 (not sure of the DC). Since I have all the affinities, that means I can use a 2nd level weave and get it, I believe.
RIZZENMAGNUS
I believe unarmed damage for a Large creature is 1d4 + Str Mod. Let me know if I am wrong.
Amorial crushes his foe in a powerful bearhug.

flavor text
the screeches of the nobles fills the hall as blades slash about, drawing blood.
A'mar whips his head about, identifying targets around him, and puts himself between a gray man and tesliin. then flays into the gray man with his warders sword.
Marten back pedals away from the gray man on him, quickly channeling a small fireball to explode in the fiends chest.
Rhoekk makes out the image of a gray man larger, and more tougher than ones told about in the stories; even still, his dance is quick as his spear lashes out in a flurry, a blurr to the eye.
Tesliin, hearing a horrendeous screech from the ring, sees a gray man withdrawing his blade from a body as it crumples to the ground. Thinking quickly, she channels weaves of air and suddenly the gray man is lifted up into the air.
The gray men move about, attacking various people as they can. The apparent leader squares off against Rhoekk, and although being used as a pin cushion, retaliates with a single swing that brings more pain than should be for a simple short sword. a closer glance at it reveals it to be on of those shadow-blades that Myrdraals use. Rhoekk thinks to himself this one dances unfairly, using cursed steel.
One of the gray man moves up and engages marten, seeking to destroy him for the fireball.
Another gray man slashes at another helpless noble, and then sprints pass the mostly dead body and rushes the helpless seanchal.
Amorial grunts in pain as the gray man he has grappled with slashes his side.
Jolial moves swiftly away from Marten, a look of angst, but conceals annoyance, is directed at marten for blowing cover. Seeking to help his brother, he deftly weaves air to harden, but the gray man is too fast for his weaving.

Round 3
Confused as to where the things are, as the map didnt seem updated. Also, did Marten take damage? G3 isnt listed, but assuming he's being targeted again. Come on, Joliar is prettier than Marten, go after him! ;) Not that shooting a fireball makes you... inconspicuous.
The grey man kept coming, and nothing I did seemed to stop it. Already having exposed myself for what I was, nothing was stopping me from continuing to be obvious. Unfortunately, my training as an Asha'man left me with few subtle weaves.
Taking another step back to avoid the grey man that was attacking me, I tried to take it out of the equation. Joliar channeled near me, but the effects of his weave seemed negligable.
Weave: Liquefy earth, level 3, 5ft radius on G3. Reflex save: DC 16, if he falls in, swim check to avoid drowning, and Marten drops the weave anyway. I think its a free action to just stop concentrating, right?
RIZZENMAGNUS
sorry bout that. im posting while i work, so i had to step away before updating the map.
tesliin. tie off weave is a move action. im getting rid of the "or attack action" found in the book. since your tying off the weave, the gray man will sit 20 feet above ground, since you only concentrated on him being lifted for 1 round.
correct. free action to stop channeling, but any weave effects will still occur until end of round

cries of anguish and shock echo as a fireball suddenly fills the room with light, slowly followed with chared flesh smell.
a'mar, seeing tesliin exposed, steps away from the grayman wrapped in amorials arms.
Marten alters his weaves and the ground under the grayman on him seems to turn to mush, causing the grayman to sink.
Rhoekk aknowledges the fey sword, but strikes like a viper, slamming his spear into 3 different points, causing a gush of blood to bleed out from this leaders mouth, forcing him to drop his sword and fall to the ground.
Tesliin ties off her weave and seeing the seanchal in danger, lifts up the other gray man with a jerk.
still wraped in amorials arms, the gray man still struggles, slashing about with his short sword upon amorials side.
although lifted up in the air, the gray man throws his short sword at the seanchal.
The gray man facing against marten dives forward, avoiding the liquid death that awaited him, and comes up slashing at marten.

EDIT: If we are on the ground floor I will either (i) simply crush the creature using my previous roll or (ii) if there is some sort of sharp object I would like to impale the creature on it (not sure what roll to make for that). If we are on the second floor I would like to run towards a window and thro the damn thing outside! morial is not very good in a fight with his weapon so without it he is really vulnerable and at the moment bleeding profusely!
Tesliin Sedai
Round 4
Tesliin, happy with the results so far, brings the assailant on the Seanschal over to the other one in the Toh ring, out of reach of other bystanders.
I believe it's either a move or standard to move an object lifted up, so I'll use my standard to move him next to the one I have tied off in the Toh ring, using my move to tie that one off as well.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
Amorial, I would recomend trying a 'Pin' maneuver as opposed to just doing damage. Pinned is basically an upgraded version of Grappled. When pinned, a creature cannot take pretty much any action but attempt escape. Once pinned, a creature can be tied up the next round. Rhoekk will help you.
Seeing the other indistinct shapes dealt with, Rhoekk moves to help the Treebrother, whom he sees struggling with a slippery foe. He moves to his side dropping his spear, and joins the grapple, helping the imperiled Alantin to restrain his deadly attacker.
Rhoekk joins the grapple, using an 'aid other' action for Amorial (there is no roll required). Amorial gains a +2 to his grapple check, in addition to the +5 he receives for making a successful check last round.
"Hold on Treebrother. I will help you subdue him!"
Joliar Belthoval
