Hang tight all, I will go down and scout out before we introduce light to the area. If there is something terriable waiting well, I will shed some light. That will be the signal. See you in a few.

Seems fine down here, just a big empty room. There are no windows though. Which is weird because I'm pretty sure I saw windows out there. You guys should come on down. I'm going to look for an exit or stairs or something.
Marcus will look around for an exit while the others make there way down.
'Suny' |
Suny blinks at Marcus' description, then scampers over to peer over the edge of the roof and try looking in the nearest window.
Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
"Here, I think it might be a trap!" She calls back.
'Suny' |
Suny scoots back over and examines the edges of the hatch every one's dropping through.

Nyroba Samradgar |
"This may be a trap, but I've fought my way out of traps before. Bahamut will guide us; in the name of His Cupric Majesty, we must go forward." Nyroba will enter the door as well.
GM of Set |
As the last person drops into the building. Something very strange happens. Everything seems to melt away around you. Slowly replaced by a small cottage looking scene. Out of the dark, you hear voices. Yes. Hear. You too Arim. Till the voices took shape.
You see a very old man and a very young girl, sitting at a small table. Both look ready for bed. Small yellow birds, in open cages fill the small hut. The old man, has long grey hair. His years showing on him. The girl, looks like a six year old. Her hair multiple colours. She is sitting on lots of books to reach the top of table
Hey, grandpa, are those the ones you mentioned? They don't look like much...
The old man looks at the girl Stop being rude. It's not nice to talk like that. But yes, i believet they are. A bit early, but no time like present
Arim Zeather |
Arim looks in utter shock for a moment I...I HEARD that. A tear comes to his eye, and he closes his eyes, listening to the sounds about him. After a moment he opens his eyes, and gone is the emotion before, now replaced by anger. He wipes his eyes, looking at the old man "How. Dare you."
GM of Set |
The girl looks up, right at Arim, a very strange smile creeps across her face
Hey grandpa, i think they can hear us. And by the look on that ones face... i believe they can see us
The old man turns his head, looks at the group
I believe you are right. Excuse our manners, have a seat
As he motions, a couple of chairs seem to materialize and slide to their small table, one chair for each person
'Suny' |
"oooo...we in't in...Wait, where were we again?" Suny stands perfectly still for the moment.
'Suny' |
Bluff:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Suny oh so casually glances up at the sky....and tries to notice any trap-door shaped holes up there....
Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
"Told peoples it were a trap..." She mutters.
Nyroba Samradgar |
"Aye, that you did." mutters Nyroba in agreement.
CL check for a spell-like ability: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Nyroba concentrates to overcome the wild fluctuations of magic, and uses her inner eye to consider the auras of the people in front of her. Detect Evil on both of them, then scanning around in a 360 degree circle for any other auras of evil.
GM of Set |
The girl leans to the human
What ever you like mister, grandpa over here likes the strong stuff
She gives him a tankard. Dragon Fury. Very rare, very potent, and in some places, very illegal
The old man smiles
What can i say. I like my drinks strong. You may call me Racton, and this little pest is called Matty
The girl scowls, obviously not liking the name. Probably a nickname
Chara |
Chara looks around in wonder, then giggles and rolls her eyes "Magic users..."
Noticing Arim's expression she gently pats him on his arm as she walks past, putting herself between him and the little girl. She bends down until her head is level with the girls and strokes her hair "you have the prettiest hair I have ever seen, I'd love to know how you get it in so many colours. My name is Chara" (pronounced Sha-rra) She looks up at the old man "I would mind one of those interesting looking drinks" turning back to the little girl she carries on "but now we're a little bit confused, we were on the roof of a building and we climbed through a door into a room that didn't look anything like this room and now suddenly we're here. Did you or your grandpa bring us here?
oh dear ... keep alcohol away from Chara ...
'Suny' |
Suny helps Nyrobe to her feet and notes how woozy the other woman is getting up. Suny frowns,
"I'm afraid whut I got carryn' in't much in'a way of helpin' with a ringin' head." She whipsers to Nyrobe....
GM of Set |
The girl grinned
Look grandpa, the pretty snake girl made it too. Well, i think lots of dye powder, but i was born with all the colors like they are now
Rakton smiled at Marcus well young man, we weren't expecting you so soon, but as you are here, a simple drink with us and you can be on your way again
Hitoru |
We have not advance our mission yet and already we walked into two traps. It seems this will becoume our trademark.
ANd this one is mighty strange...
Hitoru observes the couple and tries to spot any clues as to who they might be or where the group happened to land itself.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Arim Zeather |
Still silently fuming with rage, Arim moves his hands and looks around to confirm his suspicion
Going for a detect magic and a will save to disbelieve illusion. They either are misinformed about his deafness or simply don't care but that's a huge red flag to him
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
GM of Set |
and im back. sorry for delay
The two are what they seem, an old man and a young girl
yes, you did detect evil, but the aura is huge, it fills the room, you think it might extend past the room as well. you can not pin point the oregen of the aura
Hegron, you feel it go down your through, it burns more than any rink you have ever tasted, you know if you have one more sip, you will be intoxicated really good.
Arim, no illusion. the entire place seem to glow though. except the two people in the room. they do not glow at all
Hegron |
"Now THAT hit the spot!" - Hegron bellows, as he takes a sit next to the man and child - "I feel like chugging down some more, but this stuff is definitely potent. Let me mull it over for a while" - he laughs.
Turning to them, he continues - "Now then, lets just cut to the chase - there is something definitely wrong here see? We came down through the roof of an Asylum, and now when we are inside, this is not an Asylum anymore, and there you are chatting away merrily so... Lets start by the beginning shall we? Where are we exactly, as far as you know?"
