i like it, well an update from me, now at home but under medical care, Hospital was fun but home is better, im old so age it seems it getting the better of me. I have more scans in 10 days, after that I will know whats going in. Ill make a new list of who is in, over the next few days.

Not sure if Sal'Hara made any changes yet though.

I would be remiss if I didn't also give special mention to both Otm-Shank and Anoirtrou, given that both rolled for stats and had general character concepts thought up.

bossBedlam, darthrancor, The Thing From Beyond the Edge, Midiotoziggeroto, and The Dragon all rolled stats as well.

I went with point buy myself since there wasn't time to roll any stats for my character and have it posted when I did.

In addition to Deep Focus (focus twice to expend them twice; same requirements as Psionic Meditation), Gloves of Calling (summon a chosen specified weapon as silver, cold iron, or deep crystal, all initially chosen and unchangable too), Xephyr Knife (dagger that does 1d6; 18-20/x2), Gladiaor Gauze (stop bleeding, consumable), Survivor Sleeping Bag (Endure Elements effect while in the bag), and Warrior's Scabbard, I went with adding the pouch of pixie dust (I expect that it will remain inert and nonfunctional for the entire game) and snow goggles (otherwise, same as Smoked Goggles) to my initial equipment list.

===Background for Jamaardi===:

Note: Some of the storybased conceits are merely plausible excuses to help explain why no Xephs have ever seen before in Golarion proper; all this can be altered if this game's background envisions something entirely different for Xephs.

The Ten-Minute Background:

Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character. These can be a concept overview, a list of important life events, a physical description, a personality profile...whatever you need to get an image in your mind. 5 is just a minimum...more elements are encouraged!

His backstory is that he works with the Elves of both Sovyrian, Castrovel and Kyonin, Golarion and with the Lashunta of Qabarat, Castrovel as one of many interplanetary troubleshooters of a sort (thanks to all of the Elfgates and Portals); the recent world-wide magical dissolution would most certainly have him on his way to that particular town next to the monastery in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, likely on the behest of those he works with; after all, his own abilities remain mostly unaffected- plus he has had prior experience in frigid climates while on Triaxus (still in the midst of Winter).

He usually will try to pass himself off as an Elf on Golarion; having pointy ears, comparable height and weight, and no white sclera in his eyes makes such a thing possible (really no more different than your average Summerborn Triaxians or even Lashuntas- provided that they wear some sort of headwear- passing themselves off as Half Elves, which could or has happened already). Otherwise, his appearance is just like your bog-standard Xeph, outfitted much like a lightly armored adventuring skirmisher (with his default-mode opaque purple Astral Skin covering up parts of his body, not unlike that of any given nineties Image/Wildstorm inspired comic character).

While on Golarion, he and his fellows are based in the Elven town of Erages (Kyonin's own Half-Elven ghetto and primary place of smuggling); hence the access to some contraband in Jamaardi's possesions. Prior to the Magical fallout, Jamaardi had been assisting the local Elves with Treerazer's attacks, Razmiran river barge incursions, or even keeping tabs on the goings-on at Sevenarches (perhaps eventually culminating with an expedition to the Darklands down the line). With the loss of all magic (including the local (all?) Elfgates), all that has changed and the only known (perhaps sole?) working psionic monastery just went up in importance to the Elves.

Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.

His immediate goal would be to find his contact/s within the town nearby the monastery. Presumably the Elves had one already set up, since Jamaardi had been given a name of one such contact (to be determined by the GM, perhaps?). Possibly even passing on some hidden message (back and forth message courier?), once he establishes his identity of a trusted agent via his Gloves of Calling...summoning the Deep Crystal Elven Branched Spear from the glove is something not every petty mundane bandit would be able to normally accomplish. Once he finds his contact, Jamaardi will do what he could to help assist and cooperate with the rest of the party in finding out the source of all the recent troubles.

Another more far-reaching goal of his might possibly be towards finding out the secret origins of his people, as Xephs are essentially just immigrants to Castrovel. It may even become a more far reaching goal if the game and everybody else allows for it or it can just be more background material to flavor things with.

Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!

Secrets currently known by Jamaardi: Some Lashunta and Triaxians are known to be residing in Golarion; he should know, having accompanied many of his colleagues through the Elfgates and Portals under Elven supervision. Jamaardi is also aware of Sovyrian being on Castrovel; something that the Elves wouldn't want publically known (much like the existence of Drow).

Secrets that remain unknown by him: While his people serve as small-knit village Artisans in remote deep forested canyons in the Green Star environs, the origins of where they originated from remains unknown. All he's been told by others of his kind was that some of them fled "an encroaching darkness"; making a perilous voyage that had them finding refuge in Castrovel. The "darkness" never was defined for Jamaardi, even when directly asked. He has cynically considered the possibility of that darkness being a metaphor for some unknown conflict rather than something literal. He might be mistaken, however...

Step 4: Describe at least three people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.

Note: All names given are Easter Eggs to other distant campaign settings. The named NPC's could be among the living or the dead, depending on the GM's discretion.

Friendly in personal and/or professional interactions with Cerilia (a Lashunta female and fellow agent), Aduris (a Summerborn Triaxian male and fellow agent), Tinker-Lantan (a bleached Gnome, previous holder of the Pixie Dust), Belcadiz (a Half Elf in Erages, a Smuggler that Jamaardi knows), and Mystara Alfheim (one of his Elven superiors)

Unfriendly but purely professional relations with another of his immediate Elven superiors, Rhuobhe Valenar.

Enemies include Bargle Vonhendriks (a Razmiran Priest and known Operator), the Triaxian Dragonkin Warlord Khyber Kalak, and Infamous Vercite Slaver, Tion Ksaren. Jamaardi wouln't really anticpate any of them to show up given the troubles with Magic now happening, but one never knows.

Step 5: Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor

General Demeanor: Pleasant and Affable. Given to plenty of smiles, grins, and friendly banter; it might be that he's just a bit touched too

Quirks: Has no Last Name of any note (none that he's given) but if pressed for one, he prefers using Greenstar as a last name (Castrovel is a bit too formal for something like this). Values his Xephyr Knife as part of his heritage. The glove was something provided by his Elven and Lashunta superiors.

Past Memories: His time on Triaxus where he and many others helped to rescue captured Elves and Triaxians from Vercite Slavers working with Khyber Kalak (Why spend one's own troops to guard over prisoners of war when they can be used as Slaves on some other worlds? being the Dragonkin's mindset). His youth in Castrovel where he neglected his training in the use of the Xephyr Knife.

More Recent Memories: Men of Rahadoum's Pure Legion briefly celebrating the loss of Divine Clerical magic. A Razmiran River Barge raid that turned disasterous when Magic failed on the entire planet; Tinker-Lantan the bleached gnome being among the casualties, survived by Jamaardi and a few others during that operation (the pouch and feather token was from that episode).


Would it be conidered a fair possibility that Jamaardi got assistance from another character or two in getting access/audience to the monastery?

A Simple Questionnaire:

1.How does your character interact with the others within a group?

Generally affable, occasionally prone to adding in semi-related verbal tangents during some idle conversation, laid-back, relatively unhurried demeanor, and mostly pleasant to a fault, Jamaardi will work with the group in whatever capacity he is able offer.

2. What is your character's role in a group?

Some Combat based abilities plus some Skill based abilities; may act in both capacities as either primary or supporting role in such instances.

In terms of combat, Jamaardi will usually be psionically "double-focused", so that his DR (along with his activated temporary HP) comes into play, as well as his ability to operate comfortably to a small degree in extreme weather conditions.

If infiltration work needs to be done, he is fairly passable at it (either by minor social investigation, lockpicking, or by direct object damage from his Aegis training). At Triaxus, Jamaardi posed as a captured prisoner/slave, where appearing unarmed, unarmored, plus his ability to damage objects (restraints and cages included), worked greatly to his advantage.

3. How is your character not as they seems? I want one or two skills that would surprise others if they found out he knows them. Also include personality traits, positive or negative, that would similarly surprise others.

If below "bloodied" status (basically below half his total HP), his combat capabilities will get slightly diminished as fear starts to set in; as an O.O.C. sidenote, if there are any objections from any fellow players to this drawback being used, I have no problem with substituting a different drawback.

Of his own people's traditional weapon, the Xephyr Knife, Jamaardi remains unskilled in its' use; of course, that doesn't prevent him from practising on a wooden training replica of one.

4. What are your character's goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious?

5. How easily does your character love? Have they been in love?

Neither a blushing virgin nor debauched libertine, Jamaardi is no stranger to casual hookups or previous romantic liasons in his past, but usually will not go out of his way to find any, especially not during any assigned mission.

Not really, Jamaardi would be aware of any racial differences (via Local or Nature skills) but knows enough to never discount a species over minor issues.

Some things are important to him and others are to be used or discarded as needed; Current outfit being worn, and his shield plus a few obvious weaponry are all functional but not really necessary, other than to give him a plausibly normal appearance.

Still never entirely comfortable at the thought of being less effective when overly injured in a physical conflict.

Maybe Jamaardi has a bit of trouble focusing without going off on side tangents conversationwise? ;)

10. What does he perceive the solutions to those problems to be?

Believes that he may eventually "get over" it.

11. What are your character's religious beliefs?

Like most of his fellow Xephs on Castrovel, Jamaardi is casually philosophical in his personal views, but decidedly not very religious in his outlook; that doesn't prevent him from mentioning any tidbits that he knows of any given religious group.

12. What does your character fear?

Diminished effectiveness in Combat, when he is past "bloodied"?

Perhaps possibly causing failure or strife for his compatriots, if it should ever come up.

13. How much of a temper does your character have? What sorts of things set them off?

Laid-back, mostly.

This is a 5th level Shaper that I made for another campaign that never got off the ground. She's already powered and equipped and has a captivating back-story (if I do say so myself. =)

I see that you've got some other caveats on character generation, and I'll become in compliance with those, but I just wanted to throw this alias up to show proof of my good faith. ;-)

Welcome to the campaign, Volita. :)

Don't forget to add in your extra hp and skill bonus per level (+6 since we're all at 6th level now) plus a bonus feat and another optional bonus crafting feat, if you so choose to take it.

Of course, it goes without saying that this is GM_Panic's home-brewed Golarion campaign and is currently not part of any PFS organized play program (that I'm aware of, at least). So no PFS chronicles will be likely available for this. ;)

We're also at 23,000 gp worth of stuff so I imagine that Volita will be too (or close to that amount?). You may want to keep in mind that arcane/divine/psychic magic doesn't function (mundane items, alchemy, firearms, and psionics works just fine though), unless specified otherwise in a given location (like the one that we're at now, outside of Eto, Osirion, next to some weird monolith and statue.)

The premise, of course, is that all magic went all up and disappeared from the entire face of Golarion; We get to be the intrepid unfortunate folks that get to find out why it did. ;)

Be a Dreamscarred Press Psionic Class, see the world of Non-Canon Golarion, and possibly save magic for those Tier-One Wizards, Druids, and Clerics.

Long Ears if you can get a alt build up in the next few days that would help. This next bit is going to be big, so all new players need to be in this.

New players will be replacements for ones heading back to the Temple of the mind. The x players PCs will be heading back there to repost full. You will be Psioporting in just before the head up the ladder.

Um, we've got a Psy Warrior, a Psion that likes to punch people with fists from his mind, and a Shaper that also heals things you didn't know were hurt.

Could use a skill-monkey.

A Rogue dip Psion is an interesting concept, kind of wish I thought of it now...

Does Jamaardi not qualify as a skill monkey? There's a lot going on with that character sheet so I can't be sure.

Also I have Ultimate Psionics which has a fair amount of content that's not listed on the prd. I could probably link it with dropbox. Thought I'd ask before diving too deep into creation.

Heh, looks like we still got our Taker hotspot mind-wi-fi, for the moment. Probably will have to sort out a suitable codeword for activating mindspeech once she's left. ;)

Jamaardi's more of a secondary skill-monkey compared to the main primary skill-monkey classes; he doesn't have the ability to deal with any magical traps (or psionic ones, if they exist...). Of course, it hasn't been much of an issue in a world without magics- except for the parts that do have them. Otherwise, I'd say just go with whatever concept appeals to you as a player. ;)

As far as using Dreamscarred Press content that isn't on the PF OGC, you could always run it by GM_Panic to see if it's okay. It should be okay though, after all Jamaardi's using some of them (Deep Focus, Xephyr Knives) plus some various Dreamscarred Press playtest materials too. :)
