"I worship the Ancient Azlanti Gods, they talk to us through the waters. The gillmen come here to listen to them. This cave and the waters in it are sacred, because the water is the purest and cleanest around here and the voices of the gods seem to be louder during full moon." Uori answers to the questions. "No, thank you very much. I do not eat while listening to the gods. Food distracts me from the more important things." he says to Twitnit.
"I can see that you worship Aroden. It's interesting that this place was once also sacred to a human god. But the humans disappeard over the years. Now nobody enters this cave any more except the gillmen." he continues.

Ethendril listens as his companions discuss the amazing room with the gillman. He has little to add, and instead wonders at the amazing diorama, the stalagmites and stalactites around him.

"While we do not want to interupt your meditation, would you be opposed to us exploring the rest of this cave system? Are there any others from your tribe here as well? Twitnit's eyes are growing wider as the constant influx of coffee continues to tweek him out.

![]() |

Orophin waits for the others to be answered before asking.
"Do the waters speak to you of other things in these caves? Can you tell us what lies deeper inwards?"

![]() |

"I don't know what you mean with 'follow the steps of the prayers'. We meditate in the waters to listen to it. The waters don't talk much about the cave, only that there is something evil and that we should not go further. Some time ago a few gillmen did not return from their journey to this cave, but nobody knows what happened to them. Nobody want's to go deeper inside the cave." Uori answers.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to finish my meditation and return to my people as soon as possible." with these words he turns back to the water and closes his eyes.

Twitnit bids the gillman luck. Then spins around twice and looks at Ethendril and says, "Your west, or my west? How do you know which way is west? I agree, west is always best, it's like going left. Whenever given the choice we should ALWAYS go west! I heard that somewhere. Why did you choose west? I'm a little dizzy." Twitnit goes to toss another coffee bean in his mouth, then stops and offers it to the rest of the party. "I think I may need to cut back on these. I feel powerful, but confused, and a little twitchy! Would anyone else like a magic bean before we go THAT way?" Twitnit points both fingers and arms straight outward, then crosses them in front of his body to have both fingers then point in the opposite direction they started.

GM: 1d6 ⇒ 1
The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline.
Within the cavern, the dim light fades into darkness to the north and the south. The cavern stretches nearly 100 feet in each direction, but is otherwise unremarkable save for the inlet and outlet of the ancient river responsible for creating this chamber and most of the surrounding tunnels over the centuries. The river through this part of the cavern ranges from 10 to 15 feet wide but is only 1 foot deep, and it flows languidly at an almost imperceptibly slow speed. Treat squares with water as if they were shallow bog.
Across the river, in the corner of the chamber you see two Kobolds. They are examining a tunnel leading to the east.

Orophin grins at Twitnit.
"Westwards ho!" he sings.
Then looking down the passage he nods and then sings as he walks.
"When I was but a lad of ten, my father said to me.
Go west young man. Take you west as far as far can be.
But out, and in the woods I came upon a scary beast.
For instead of listening to my pa, instead I'd headed East!"
Bahh, GM bet me to the post!
Upon sighting the kobolds he recites the first verse again, puting the emphesis on 'beast'

While traveling up the tunnel to the east you begin to hear the faint sounds of combat and a familiar woman's voice half-shouting and half-reciting. “As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!” Janira Gavix is engaging the minotaur in combat on the surface after failing to lose the unrelenting creature in the wilderness.
The route to the surface leads through a maze of tight passages that include steep ascents and short climbs as they wind from west to east. As you travel, you can hear the sounds of a distant battle echoing through the caves, intermixed with inspirational tales of famous Pathfinders and the heroic deeds — the raging fight between Janira and the minotaur.
Janira’s words are sufficiently audible to grant you the benefits of her inspire courage class ability. The tight tunnels here range from 2 to 5 feet in width and average about 9 feet in height. The slick floors and steady incline from west to east increase the DC of all Acrobatics checks by 4.
While traveling further up to the surface you come to a tunnel blocked by a slime mold.
