Elenzar the Bastard |

Elenzar looks to the scene, "Gruesome."
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
"I guess the coast is clear."
Does it look like we won the fight?
Finally Ellenzar looks to the leader of the salvage crew. "What's the value here the lumber or abandoned gear."

Ye Old Storyteller |

According to the amount of bodies, it seems like the Erathians have won this fight, there are far more dead goblins than discarded human equipment. The dead humans have been taken away. Also the battlefield is not that close to the lumberyard.
"The lumber is more important now, if we want to repair our walls, fashion new arrows and bows, we need that. If we have room left for iron we might take some with us, that would benefit us as well."
Brand says as he looks at the battlefield and the large amount of dead goblins.

Ye Old Storyteller |

The lumberyards seem abandoned, stacks of lumber are haphazardly missing logs or thrown together in some fashion, as if the goblins moved them and didn't care where they were. The trees in the area around the camp are cut down, but close to where the logging went on the forest is still dense.
Close to the fire pit there are pieces of large logs burnt half to cinders and an old crafted tripod and spit, bones of several animals littering the ground.
The untouched lumber stocks are some 90 feet away from you, you could get to them on foot or horse but the carts might have some more trouble as logs and branches clutter the original path to it.
The sounds of the forest are easy to listen to, but you hear slight sounds of movement among the birds calling. It sounds like something riffling through the undergrowth.
Shadows move in the distance behind the stacked logs, you swear some creature was peering through an opening in the stack.

Whoever was here, it seems like they left early. The fire was just lit last night, David says while looking around for any signs of who may have stayed there.
David will stick close to his friends while we all check out the surrounding area before going to the lumber yard.

Attacks vs Taliesien: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 6
As Talisien moves up towards the lumber, two shots are fired from behind the stacked lumber 90 feet away. One from an opening large enough to fire through the other from a goblin that hid on the sides and stepped out.
Talisien is now 30 feet away from the lumber stacks.
I assume you did a double move, if that is not correct please say so
There are two smaller stacks of lumber about 20 feet closer, but they look haphazardly thrown together.

Round 1. Can we use the haphazardly piles of lumber for partial cover as we race for the stack where they seem to hiding? Does the stack where they are hiding look like if it where knocked around it might collapse on them preferably at least one goblin still in in.
Elenzar runs trying to use lumber stacks and other obstacles for cover from additional fire. He moves full speed for the pile where the goblins fired from.

Ye Old Storyteller |

Yes you can use the partially stacked piles of lumber for cover, if you are standing it confers you partial cover, if you are prone you are out of sight and can't be shot at. The large amount of stacked lumber looks to be sturdy, but with enough force it might be able to push it over. DC 23 Strength check

Nathaniel Thames |

Nathaniel raises his shield as he looks around for any goblins.
He heads for the stacks of lumber.
He looks where the holes are where the firing could have come from.
"Perhaps blocking the view will force them to move out of cover."
Nathaniel proceeds to hold his shield to block the gap he sees.
Just for the sake of it, i'll try to intimidate the goblin. They "should" understand basic common i think.
If not, the tone of the sentence should make the message clear.
Intimidate to shaken: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
"You with the bow there. Do you know what i'll do with this mace i have here? I'm going to introduce it to your skull if you don't surrender. When this fight is over, we'll barely keep you alive and i can let the two of you make out!" (insert angered laughter)

Ye Old Storyteller |

Forfax moves up 40 ft to the stacked lumber, taking cover where he can.
The goblins behind the lumber fire again on the two that came close, one arrow each flies towards Forfax and Taliesin.
Attack on Talisien: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 111d6 ⇒ 1
Attack on Forfax: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d6 ⇒ 2
And both miss by a long shot, probably because they are too eager to get cover again.
Shortly after the barrage Nathaniel runs forward and is at about the same point as Forfax.

Ye Old Storyteller |

David moves up towards the pile of stacked logs in front of the arrows are fired from and takes cover behind one of them.
Apart from the sounds of battle he hears scuffling sounds again, pretty close actually.
Elenzar closes the distance to the other log pile and shelters himself from the incoming rain of arrows.
As both of them just arrived near the shelter they see Talisien sprint forward with his longspear in hand, only to hear a whistle and see a rope being pulled tight between the two piles of lumber.
Taliesin Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Talisien notices the rope too late to make a jump for it and falls down on the ground. He looks to his sides and sees two more goblins laughing, before they draw their maces.
Taliesin, I'm sorry about your crit, but they had a readied action to trip the first one that approached. I'd hate to waste a good crit, so you may keep that one for a next attack if you wish.
The stacked lumber from where the arrows are fired is considered a wall with firing holes, if your weapon has reach you could stab the goblin behind it, else walk around it. The two smaller stacks of lumber with the two new goblins is 10 feet long and open-ended, you could get around from either side.
Round 2

13 David
11 Elenzar
10 Talisien: Prone on the ground
Nathaniel and Forfax are 30 feet away from Talisien, David and Elenzar 15 feet. The new goblins are 10 feet away from Taliesin.

Elenzar the Bastard |

Elenzar charges one of the goblins close to Talisien.
attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 = 27
confirm: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 20
crit damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
As the blade drives home he snarls at the next goblin, "Laugh now fools."

Ye Old Storyteller |

Forfax manages to places himself between Talisien and the goblin on the left side of him. The goblin didn't expect anyone to close in so soon and gets stabbed in the guts, luckily for him his reflexes saved him from any mortal wounds.
One of the goblin archers fires through the hole in the stacked lumber again, having a clear shot at Nathaniel.
Attack vs Nathaniel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d6 ⇒ 6, but misses due to the constraints of firing through a hole.
The other one moves out to the right side of the stack and fires on Nathaniel as well.
Attack on Nathaniel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d6 ⇒ 2.
The two goblins in melee see a new potential threat in Forfax and the one that got hit tries to bash his skull in. Attack vs Forfax: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 The other approaches Taliesin menacingly and heaves his mace up high before it comes crashing down upon him. Taliesin had just enough time to shield the blow with his arms to prevent extensive trauma. Attack vs Taliesin: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 4 = 271d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Nathaniel moves closer to Taliesin and threaten the goblin that fired through the hole. Though Nathaniel can't quite see it, the kobold looks a bit scared now in the face of the armoured warrior.

Ye Old Storyteller |

^^ what are the odds of two crits in a row. It hits and kills him.
The goblin starts laughing maniacally at the prone Taliesin and attempts to whack him on the head to kill him. As the goblin starts to approach Taliesin, he plays defeated for a second before plunging his longspear right in its throat. The goblin gasps for air, but only splutters blood and sinks to the ground.
Think the scene of The Last Samurai

Ye Old Storyteller |

David aims for the goblin and misses, the bolt flying into the logs above. The goblin though looks more nervous than before and looks frantically to the left and right.
Elenzar can't charge the goblin anymore because Forfax is in the way and the other is dead, he can still reach the other one though.
Elenzar moves on up and takes out the goblin with a graceful yet powerful stroke of his sword, one cut across his chest, following with a strike that beheads him.

Nathaniel Thames |

Turn 3
Nathaniel should now be able to get to his first goblin.
Assuming the goblins were distracted to see their friend get impaled, the following.
Nathaniel makes a slight arch in his movement, seeing the goblin peeking around the corner look at his fallen buddy. As the goblin started to notice him when he was practically next to him..
"Surprise!!"
And he swings his mace.
Whack the gob: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Dmg: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Ugh...forgot bout the movement restriction my armor gives me....
Can i keep the roll though?

Ye Old Storyteller |

Hate to burst your bubble there Nathaniel, but you don't have a chance to charge to that goblin, there is no straight line, so you can only make a double move to get next to him and attack the next turn. You were 30 feet away from the large stack of lumber and have to walk 40 feet to get to the right side of the stack.

Taliesin Flamel |

Round 2
i am assuming the second melee goblin isn't to far away from me. If he is right next to taliesin he will fight from prone instead
Sanding up, taliesin will 5ft in order to be able to hit the other goblin in melee
