I've moved our tokens towards the direction of Champion Squad.

Examining the birds reveals they are just like the ones from the Necromancer franchise. Their flesh looks real but also a bit odd in patches as though it is digitized flesh that hadn't been rendered properly. They are already beginning to break down as though their composition was a bit unstable.
The Champion Squad HAC game is one of the expo’s highlights, based on the prominent, popular, and expensive‑to‑license comic book series of the same name. Strangely, the heroes seem to be missing from the holographic demos throughout the booth, replaced by the comic’s villains aggrandizing the Hardlight Harlequin. After several minutes of nonstop praise and adoration, a gnome in a bright jester’s costume strolls onto the screen. His spoken words also appear in comic-style speech bubbles over his head. “Thank you, thank you, my loyal and admiring fans! Rest assured our future is a bright one, free from the meddling of troublesome interlopers... like these so-called ‘heroes.’” His finger stabs out toward the viewer in accusation, and then he vanishes in a flash of light. A moment later, the demo starts anew.
The booth is stacked with merchandise and props from the game, you can see a computer terminal at the far end of the booth.
No replies come back ffrom your calls.

Collapsed in the booth’s corner is the body of a slain lashunta programmer
whose embroidered polo shirt names him Mairso Daradhol, lead developer for the Champion Squad product line. The keycard attached to his belt appears to be for the HACTech HQ.
Gliko gets back to the computer and gains access the data and game code of this booth’s computers - learning that it is a technological phenomenon that’s taking over the expo center, that it is expanding rapidly, and appears to be originating from the HACTech HQ server room.
_Lem |
"Well.. we have a keycard. I guess next step is the data centre!" grins Gliko.
"Ahhhh... anyone know where that is?"

Ritta looks at the body then turns to Gliko "I have no idea, it is not on a map, but maybe we can ask."

I was thinking, before we enter this hall, we chatted with oddly looking creature that gave us the map ;) Maybe they know where the data center is. But otherwise I am fine to keep going and explore the northern part of the expo
_Lem |
"Well... there is the actual Hacktech booth to the south. Maybe they have a way out from there?" suggest Gliko.
"I mean... That would be the obvious place for them to put their stall, right?"

Chox nods at Ritta, "Yah, we can check with Shikaska, if he's still around. If not, then agreed, let's go to the Hactech booth!"
Assuming everyone is okay, Chox will lead the group back to the entrance to see if Shikaska can direct the team to the server room. If there is no directions available to the server room, then the team heads towards the HacTech booth.
I've moved our tokens down to the HacTech booth in case we don't get any directions to the server room. There's also a couple of doors off to the east that lead out of the exhibition all - maybe that's the way?
Shifty |
You get back to Shikaska who is busily shooing people through the exit now that the door trap is disabled. "The server room is in the main HQ that is just off the hall. I've had a bit of a headcount and we're missing a number of guests and staff, did you see them in there? Somone said there were bats that kept spawning and attacking people"
It is a separate building, accessed via the eastern doors

"Guys, even though we've gotta get to the server room to deal with the root of the problem, sounds like there are still people in immediate need that we gotta rescue!"
Sounds like we'll need to search each of the exhibition hall booths for survivors before moving on to the server room. Does that sound right by everyone? If yes, shall we search the map from top to bottom?

Gilko nods "How many are we missing?" it asks, tentacles waving anxiously as it does so.
"Because the longer we take to get to the data centre, the longer this will go on, I'm thinking. But we can't leave people in harms way either. It's a Moral Dilemma(tm) - never really did enjoy that title."
_Pregen_ |
Ritta nods her head "We found one body of Mairso Daradhol. We will keep an eye for any survivors."
Then she heads with the others to Doshko Legends
