Also, is anyone else amused that acting like a self-righteous asshat is now referred to as 'pulling a Spugley'?

Omni left without leaving a bomb post anywhere.
Spugley left a post in discussion, then in-game posts removing each of his characters with snide/snarky comments about finding a better heaven-school that really did what Avalon was supposed to do, or some such.
Omni's character used a clockwork kind of magitech, and except in pvp situations, kept it to himself.
Spugley introduced a tech that was supposed to be better than everything in the setting, and then had no probelm proliferating it, along with a heavy dose of "FU, it's just better"...
That takes the cake.

First, thanks for the support guys. :)
And while I understand the temptation, let's not bash former players. If you can't say anything nice, etc. Let's keep it classy.
As far as OmniChaos goes, after that whole thing went down, he reflected on his actions and learned from the experience. I have no issues with him now. People can change. I don't mind giving someone a second chance if they really have grown and moved on from the problem behavior.
As far as the concept of the spellscar oracle goes, I still think it's a great character idea and not necessarily something that has to be tied to someone who has trouble playing well with others.
Regarding Wiznit,I did talk with someone outside of the game about it to make sure I hadn't just lost my temper because of the stresses of this last weekend. End result, I don't think that it's outside of the realm of reasonable to not extend an invitation to play to someone with whom I can't get along. Squabbling player and GM is no fun for anyone.

I think he meant OmniChaos Kryz..
However I totally thought the same thing, that he totally sounded like Spugs.
Also, who was the homophobic person?
That would be Umineko. He was a hyper-asshat, but alot of it was in PMs. He left by making a scene as well.
However, in the interest of remaining classy, I'll not say any more on the topic.

I must say I have been rather interested in joining this PBP for some time, but have been having trouble coming up with a character. However, I just had a revelation of what I might like to put forth for approval. Before I do, I would like to inquire into what the academy's janitors are like. From tidbits here and there, it seems like they're an interesting lot.

Hirtz: Currently we have no active "Janitor" PCs... but there was one back in the day and it was hilarious from what I remember. Mr Sinh I believe.
There is /definitely/ room for a janitor type character, if that's what you'll enjoy. The most important thing is to paly something you feel you will enjoy. However, the problem with playing a staffer is that... you will probably feel like an NPC alot of the time. Just saying. Not trying to kill any buzzes or anything here, just trying to prepare you :)

You could make a student that is always on detention doing the cleaning...
For a more mischief character that is a PC

Why don't I remember that? Amazing...

It's unfortunate to here that Mr. Sinh has not been around. I was just reading some of his posts and he seemed like he would of been a blast to roleplay with.
On another note, I'll continue to think about it. I had an interesting idea for a jedi-like janitor that runs around using his various cleaning supplies like a lightsaber.
@Death_Keeper - That's an intriguing idea. Perhaps there is some mysterious behind the scenes Janitor that is trying to teach him the correct path.

i did't find any of his exit posts snarky,
Jonny left in the way that his culture always feared/despised, under the failure of his own equipment,Ruby and the quickling went and did fae stuff and the gym teacher owed them a favor
I saw that as him doing us a favor by leaving us with no loose ends

Wow, I didn't realize that about Umineko. I mean, he definitely came across as incredibly whiny and at times rather impaitent, but beyond that he just seemed lost.
This game is definitely not for a brand new player to PF, and I even think D&D period. At least, not if your also not willing to be helped and learn the rules.

I politely disagree on your statement, MG. Gamers have to start somewhere, and this game might be one of the best forums for it- if you are not an entitled, impatient, nasty peacock.
Those are the worst, noisy, s+!& all over the place and act or have an excuse for why they don't.

I believe my point was missed, which I take the blame for.
If you are willing to learn, take the advice and help of the community, etc, then this game is great for new players.
If you are not however, I do not believe this game is for you.
This is probably a good assessment. I do have to agree it's not a game for every new player however, so I'll just stay on my fence.
As for D&D not being a good system to learn on. I actually think it's the best system to learn on. The characters are clearly defined and the feats allow for customization. The flaws show new characters that in every system there will be mistakes or errors.

The nice part of being a janitor, or gamekeeper, or similar, is that despite being staff, you are low down the totem pole and more able to interact/help the students without tattling on them. And play it right and you might get by with dragging yourself along "to reign them in a bit and keep them from going to far" :)

There is someone playing a 'gamekeeper' or equivalent, just to put forth.
However, dueling banjos and all that might ensure more hilarity.

Sounds awesome and we definitely have room for this in game. Hey, for all we know there's a whole secret order of janitors....the school has many secrets. :)

We had Vakkler and Mr Sinh here at the same time before. It wasn't a conflict then, so I don't expect it to be now. They have different responsibilities. And it does have much potential for comedy.

Sorry for not being around more. I am still interested in joining, I just have a hard time settling on character concepts. I often let the mechanics I come up with inspire my character concept, but right now I'm having a hard time choosing much of anything. The jedi janitor (Jeditor? Jadi? Jaditor?) still intrigues me, but life has been interfering as well. Sometimes it gets so interesting and then suddenly wanes... >.> But please don't take my adsence as a lack of interest.

No worries. We were on hiatus this last week due to my life being a bit overwhelming. Needed some time to catch up. So you really haven't missed any opportunities here. Let me know when you're ready for me to review a character concept for you. :)

I appreciate the understanding and I most definitely will. Now if I could choose a concept to stick with. Maybe they all should just have a death match in my head and the last concept standing will take the stage...
Ever read disc world?
Be a "sweeper" who has mastered the art of 'deja Fu'

Just remember Hirtz, you can eventually play more than 1 PC. I have 2 in play already, Lord Foul has around 4, FCD has all of them, etc.
Pick one you think will be easyish, or that you like just a bit more than the others, and run with that one. Then, once you are used to the setting, rules, style, and feel comfortable, you can bring in more.

It sounds like he's messed with time a bit more drastically then in just terms of seconds and minutes before though. However it is much easier for me to pull off seconds and minutes mechanically. I think I've found a pretty proper build to do that to, but I feel like he comes out as a mix of Lu-Tze and the Monkey King.

the class "swiftblade" of 3.5 does this more or less, and there is a class
