Ardiente pulls stone up around the trapped person, trying once again to cover him up to his shoulders at least, all the while not releasing the grip on his "prisoner's" feet.
"I never break my word, and I used the last of my magic contacting you. I can do no other magics under my own power today." the voice behind the mask says in growing desperation, struggling against the stone
"Since blackmail seems to be the order of the day, what can you offer me for allowing you to go free?" Ardiente smirked as his stone enveloped the person. It felt like there was... an ooze clouding his thoughts.

She shrieked and jumped. "You have got to stop doing that!"
"Does this mean all of your charges are asleep for the night?"

he starts to struggle against the stone urgently trying to escape....
Ardiente shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts. An image of the statue he had given to Raelle flashes in his mind. He was a man of honour. "I ask only that you keep your word." he says firmly, pulling the stone away, allowing the masked man to go free.
as the statue comes into your mind the wearer relaxes and pushes up and out of the stony shell
"you truly do have honor. I cannot betray your secret for I do not know it." the mask on his face obscures his expression, but you can tell he is sincere.

Shortly after the arrival of chibi-Kaze, Sadie left with Dara to take him back to the elementary wing. She took him to his room and tucked him into bed, singing him a song that their mother used to sing to hopefully comfort him enough to get a good night's rest. On her way out she stopped to explain the situation to Lysander so that he would be aware of what was going on in case Dara's behavior took a turn for the worse.
"Alright, children...Ephebe, Taron, I'm not sure exactly where Vai is. I think she went off world. Where she would have gone I have no idea." She pinched the bridge of her nose to stave off a headache. "If you can find some way to check on her? Either of you."
"I'll take this little one over to the infirmary. I think they can handle keeping him safe until he gets a permanent caregiver."
"And then I am giving up for the night. Hopefully I can finally have a few minutes of peace and quiet to speak with your father."
Sadie felt lost. She knew that Vai was really hurt, but so was she. And seeing Dara lose so much of what he gained broke her heart all over again. The last things she wanted to do right now was go and be alone with her thoughts. She debated going to talk to Zren and Rikken, but she knew they went to bed early and she didn't want to wake them.
And then she ran into Morrivan in the hall.
"Hey, Sadie," Morrivan said, smiling to see her. "How was flying?"
And that was just too much. She started crying and couldn't stop. She tried to say something, but all that came out was an incoherent babble because it was hard to talk and cry at the same time.
Morrivan hugged her and petted her hair and said meaningless comforting things like 'there, there' and apparently that was exactly what she needed.

That gives Tyrrin pause. What concessions was she prepared to give the packs if they did agree to her schemes?
Tyrrin is thoughtful for a long moment. Ghalen had clearly said something that challenged her to rethink her plans... but she has a pensive smile on her face, as if she enjoyed the challenge. "I think, more than ever, I want you as an advisor when all is said and done, Mr. Kiln. Hopefully I'll be able to convince you that it is a worthy path." she seems to have shiftly slightly back to a more formal way of address, but it seems to be more of a reflex than anything intentional.
"Personally, I think I will have the Chicken B'Stilla. That sounds delicious."
He lowers his menu with a serious, but hopeful look on his face. He speaks quietly to Tyrrin.
"I don't think that you truly know what you're asking for. My training...the Empire has folks they train when they come accross worlds to be assimilated. They go and infiltrate the masses, and prepare them for the "glory" that awaits them...meanwhile routing out and destroying voices of dissention, or marking large resistance groups for the ISS, either way leaving a ripe world ready for conquest.That is what the Inquisitors do, Tyrrin. That is what I was trained to do. I have all of the skills necessary to do the tasks above. Although I have never been assigned to a prospective member world, I was willing and prepared to do that here, until I began to question things."
He sets his menu down, and takes a sip of wine.
"You are a smart woman. I know you have an idea of what I have been trained to do, and I hope you don't think I'm patronizing you. I think we would make a good team, and I would be willing to help, but I just want to make sure that you're fully aware of what you're getting into."
You can gather he's not just talking about being your advisor. He sighs.
"I'm sorry if I've just ruined dinner" he smirks, but it's not as confident as she's seen him be.
Rosa walks along the halls checking all is well and no students are out playing tricks or braking rules. The Security system blips for a moment but when she gets there, nothing is there. Then once more she walks her rounds, a cluster of small Gun-Drones swarm before and after checks every crack ever nuck, ever door way and hall way. Finding nothing she moves on through out the night.

She got that determined expression on her face that he had learned meant that she was wanting to show affection. She took a deep breath as she stepped closer, reminding herself over and over that she was not a child anymore and that Ryuzo would not hurt her. She slowly raised her hand, her fingertips lightly brushing his cheek, and leaned her head on his shoulder for a slightly awkward half hug. Her heart was racing from both happiness and fear. She could only hold herself there for a minute before the fear became too much and she jumped back.
"Sorry."
"No, hon, that was great!" he says smiling.
"Don't be sorry, you've no reason to be sorry."
He does look really happy, and shifts into this mole form for more comfortable huggage.

Grim Jr rolls over on his bed and thinks, where is my sister, she's always in my room waking me up he opens one eye and thinks wait a miniute this isn't my room, where am I what am I- just as he finishes that thought he groans sleepially that's right, I'm at that school thing, I suppose I better get up, with that the young reaper to be yawns and stretches and sits up on his bed.
Adon wakes up, puts his uniform on, sheathes his blade, and heads to breakfast, like clockwork. half the time, his eyes are closed.

Getting in line he starts flipping pancakes on to the tray. "Alright I'll get some fruits." He gathers a a tray full of assorted foods before making his way to a table.

despite the time, settro is piratically beaming. I think I'm going to like mornings here. so many people that are irritated and exhausted. tastes good.
