::Well, I think we have a reasonable approach to start with. I would like to run an experiment, if you are willing. Are there any permanent effects when you take emotions from a subject?::

"You have a caring nature. That's a good thing."
"If there's anywhere Ignace will be able to find the healing she needs, it's here. I can't say I relate, but there are a lot of kids here in similar situations to her. Sometimes the most important thing is learning that you're not alone."
Ardiente nods sagely. "I can definitely agree with that," he said, remembering the conversation he had with Raelle. The pair of them were different, and both scared of being alienated due to their differences. It had helped mountains knowing there was another in his position. "That's probably why this conversation is making me feel better. I'm probably going to be in your position soon too. I think I want to go back and see the Sun once more before it happens. Would you like to come with me? We'll sneak in. What's the worst that could happen?" he says impulsively, the idea just coming to him.
Vare, the Summoner
Lang seems most appreciative to bothe Vare and his new snake friend.
I fell overwhelmed by all the kindness I've found here, though there are some things I need to deal with but that will take time. Back home I only had one teacher, Master Hito. But here there are so many teachers. each with their own specialty. This is so new to me, at time I seem so small in a great sea of knowledge.
Lang pauses a moment trying to decide his next question.
Master Vare, may I call upon you in the future for more lessons on the aquan language? or perhaps you could join Master De'Nown and me during our tea time
Lang again continues attempting to say more words in Aquan. most of which he miss pronounces but each successive try He seems to get a little better. still not good enough to have any true conversation. But with patience Sheess can get most of his point across to Lang.
Lang (with Vare's help) tries to say Thank you, friend
apparently proud of his meager progress
Lang tells Sheess don't tell Sorun I want to surprise him that I am trying to learn his language. and once I learn the language you can teach me about your home.
Vare continues to translate Sheess' words for Lang as required, feeling at peace. Rena was napping some distance away. "Of course Lang, I do not mind teaching at all." he seems pensive for a moment... before asking. "Lang, are you not disturbed my appearance?" Vare draws attention to his unkempt nature and the painfully patchwork robes.

Ephebe teleported straight to the infirmary. She walked over to where Ryo was and glanced at the boy on the bed.

alright then. well, how do you propose i or you instill a negative emotion in yourself? or an non-aligned emotion, like awe? i can bear to eat respect as well, but hardly. Any more positive aligned then that will make me sick.

Taron kneels down a few feet from Dara to look him in the eyes.
"Hey there, little guy. You doing okay? That must have been really scary."
Dara nods, clutching his new toy with all his might, still wide-eyed. He moves to hide behind Sadie who looks like she's going to cry.
"He was doing so much better," she said in a small voice.

there's still stuff going on at the lake right?
I think lang vare and the snake are still there.
Ehos Denulia
She'd been lazing on the bed as she waited for him, half wondering if she'd dreamed the whole thing. Good things rarely happened to her. When he came in the room her ears perked up and her tail wagged. She jumped up with a complete lack of modesty and had to work to keep from drooling at the smell of the food.
She stopped and gave Ehos a kiss before digging in to the food. "I don't deserve someone as wonderful as you," she murmured. "But I'm not complaining," she added with a saucy grin before digging in to second (or was it first, she hadn't eaten much earlier) dinner.
Ehos smiles returns the kiss. She really was unique. She was making him a bit shy with her exuberance. Ehos didn't get shy. 'Funny, I was just thinking the same thing.' he beamed, and jumped prone onto the bed, flopping and relaxing. 'What a wonderful day.'
Anahita bint Tariq
Bradley offered a handkerchief of questionable cleanliness, mostly on account of his falling in the mop water earlier, and patted her back, mostly just letting her cry it out and trying his best to be some form of comforting. Growing up with a twin sister had at least taught him the fine art of shutting up during these emotional moments. It was safer that way. Besides, she'd feel better after a good cry. Probably. He hoped. He didn't want to have made the one person who'd been nice to him feel bad.
After a good while, and then suddenly, it slows and stops, Anahita composes herself again with a muted, "Thank you," said to Bradley.
Gathering herself up, with a few nods, she seemed to return to her former calm state. Then she glanced around to see who all was around, before looking back up at Bradley offering the comforts. "You are a noble person, Bradley, you have my thanks. I will remember your kindness."
Then, as a complete subject change, she asks, "Will you be alright, until next we speak? I suppose .. I shall go visit the garden, I think, center myself once again. Unless you have further questions or such, I am not very well experienced in interactions with, well, others, for long periods of time. That might be what's overwhelming me as well, as I adapt to so many new ..beings at once."
Flashing a brief smile, for an instant there, she looks very sixteen years old, or younger, innocent, before it fades and she's back to the usual impressive young girl again. Such an expressive face she has, softened recently by the emotional out pour just moments ago.

::Then you have my permission. That way any repercussions can be aimed at me.::
Ephebe nodded and for a moment it seemed as if she was gone, but she was back again just as soon, holding a small bottle in her hands.
"Kaze, wake up," she said harshly.

He looks...embarrassed?
"My apologies. I should have realized you were much more refined than this place, Princess or no." He seems genuinely displeased with himself.
"Perhaps I should skip on the wine..."He quips, as he takes a sip."I would very much like to see where you come from. Is it predominantly Elven?"
Tyrrin smiles to see Ghalen a little flustered. "Don't think too much on it, please. I'm not offended."
"Yes, it is almost entirely an Elven country. It's out in the forest. We share a border with the lycan traditional clan grounds, so we've had war with them for most of my lifetime. It is trying at times. We've had peace the last couple of years, but I do not have much hope it will last for much longer unless a real solution can be reached." Tyrrin also sips at her wine. Well, it's drinkable anyway. That's what you get with cheap wine. Elves just made better wine in general.

"I'll be fine, Ana," he said cheerfully. "I'm used to the stuff that happens around me by now. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. I'll be happy to listen anytime you want to talk. Even if you just need to cry again. I hope you feel better. Just remember, it's okay. Everyone has trouble adjusting to new stuff now and then."

I guess I should at least go through the motions of rolling a perception
Perception to see something: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (7) + 26 = 33
ahhh... yeah
Lang tries to carfully stand as to not be too rough with Sheess Lang appears to like him being there.
I know can understand but I am going to play a trick on someone please hold on
Lang tells Vare thank you the lesson, can I show you something that I learned today?
Lang takes his water bending stance and with some motions he forms a large globe of water and manuvers it toward him.
As a waterbender I've leaned to feel the flow of the water in my mind and body as I control it. soon I will be able to learn control of water as ice and steam as well
Lang then circles the globe around and feining a loss of control it flies out toward the spectator.

"If you are in need of anything, seek me out, Bradley. For this day forward, I shall know you as a friend." With that said, Anahita rises up from her seat and gives Bradley the same sort of bow, with hand on chest, she did at greeting him. She flashed him a smile and says, "Until tomorrow, I shall seek out the Headmaster on your behalf and advise you."
With that, standing up, Anahita takes up her tray and deposits it where it's normally put, heading out towards the Garden.
Not quite sure where you folks are /in/ the Garden, sort of assuming near the Lake, yes? If someone would in their next Garden post, describe their location(s), that'd help a ton. Thanks! Go go descriptiveness.

"I know. I... I'll ask Raelle. I don't want to put her at risk, but she should see it, at least once. It's so beautiful. I'm going to miss it." Ardiente seems like he's resigned to his fate. "Do you think I should ask your father for permission or forgiveness?"

Vai doesn't resist Taron's help, though he can tell that his touch is still worrisome to her. ::Thanks Taron.:: she replies, a little numbly, starting to brush her teeth. It was definitely gross now, the mixture of blood and toothpaste. ::Is what Mom said right, about dragon instincts? I just... I couldn't help myself. I felt so... powerful.::

does Kiara look very hostile inent
Lang statrs to have a laugh at getting the viewer wet but now a blade bing drawn and some sort of magic going off he stop smileing.
Ahhh. Sheess please go back in the lake you don't need to get hurt quickly
Lang takes iis more comfortable air bending stance.
I meant no harm it was only a joke, I am sorry if you did not enjoy getting little wet. I don't any trouble
I wish Sun was here and brought my staff
I don't do spellcraft

hostile, very, as for intent, survival
She stops her casting, "I do not like having things thrown at me, human," the way that she says human makes it sound like an insult. "The last time anything was thrown at me, it was meant to kill me and it was an orcish axe." Her crimson eyes are gleaming with fury, but also something else. "I am sorry for my reaction, its more instinct and reflex than thought now."
Taron Sunwake
::Ephebe was poisoned once, and I attacked the person responsible almost immediately. I would have killed her. Kaze attacked someone you care about. That hits Ehos hard. Jaiye must've had such a hard life before Avalon. He briefly wonders if Jaiye's pack has even come into conflict with his country. He wonders if he's ever fired a shot at her. The thought sombers him. He gets up, moves over while pulling down his scarf, and kissing her on the top of her head, his face brushing against her ears. 'I hope there will be many others like it. How does that sound?'
Lang Fei
Yes I can if he, or she, will allow me I will not anything unless I have permission
Lang exits his stance and bows to Vare.
the look in Lang's eyes are a mix of shock but readiness if things did escalate. it would appear Lang has never experienced someone with hostile intent against him.
also apparent Lang does not have sufficient knowledge to identfy Kiara as male or female (not knowledgable of dragon types)

Phaezeriel's thoughts turn grim, and there is a spike of dread in his emotions strong enough to be a yummy appetizer to the forthcoming feast, ::Oh, do not worry. I will have no trouble producing a rather robust and varied feast for you.::
Phaezeriel stares straight at the wall for a moment seemingly steeling himself, and the dread mounts. Suddenly, like a flood washing over him, he is swamped by anguish, shame, regret, fear like you have rarely sensed, and emotional pain so strong it is nearly physical. He sways on his feet for a moment, and silver tears leak from his eyes. His thoughts are weak and pleading, ::Take it. Please.::
