"That is fine." Enre answers after hearing Alton.
"Not much is gonna weird ya, huh? I mean, most people at least want to know what my little friends are when I let them know about them."
"It's fine, I guess." Michael says as he takes a seat. He takes a bagel and slowly begins tearing off small pieces and eating them. "So... why I am here?"
"I wanted to sit down with you and try to help make some amends for an incident that came to my attention when I returned yesterday."
"I wanted to personally apologize for the actions of one of my...directed study students. Asch Redgrave. I've been brought up to speed on the incident in the school Infirmary, and he and I have had an involved discussion about his actions...."
The look on the professor's face leads Michael to believe that the 'discussion' mentioned was more than likely a one-sided 'dressing down' - something he dearly wishes he could have witnessed. :)
This belief is solidified when the professor pulls something from out of view and places it on the table. Michael recognizes it as Asch's gunbelt, with a gun holstered in it that bears some similarity to Professor Sunwake's.

Michael smiles as he sees Asch's Caster. Yes, he would have enjoyed watching that 'discussion'.
"So you just wanted to apologize? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but there seems be be enough refreshments for more than two people."

"Sorry - I'm too used to having boys around who eat a lot," he replies with a wry smile. "But you're right on part of it - this meeting isn't just for the two of us. My apology to you is because Asch is, ultimately, under my supervision and responsibility. His actions reflect directly on me as his instructor, and I take that very seriously. His actions were inexcusable, and I have made it abundantly clear to him that they will not be tolerated."
"But I know an apology from me is not really what you want - or what you deserve. That has to come from somebody else."
He presses a button on the table dialing into Asch's personal communicator.
"Mr Redgrave. Report to Conference Room C42 immediately. It is time."

"That's a dirty trick, Professor." Michael says as he glares, the blue in his left eye standing out.
"I'm almost there." Asch replies as he steps out of the shadows in front of the conference room. He takes a quick breath before walking in. "Ok…so…umm sorry about attacking you and biting you…" Asch says uncertainly and very quickly almost as soon as he sees Michael.
"Oh, I guess everything is just fine then." Michael replies, voice dripping with sarcastic venom.

Tamrin notes the change in Michael, both in eye color and temperament.
"Well, that's not the response I had expected - please, explain why you think this is some kind of trick."
His statement has no sarcasm, no condescension. He seems to be trying to give Michael the floor, so to speak, to air his grievances.
"I'm almost there." Asch replies as he steps out of the shadows in front of the conference room. He takes a quick breath before walking in. "Ok…so…umm sorry about attacking you and biting you…" Asch says uncertainly and very quickly almost as soon as he sees Michael.
"Oh, I guess everything is just fine then." Michael replies, voice dripping with sarcastic venom.
Before anybody else can say anything, Tamrin sighs and pushes a button. The surveillance feed from the Infirmary on the night in question comes up. It shows the entirety of the incident.
"Well, that's not the response I had expected - please, explain why you think this is some kind of trick."
"I wasn't told he'd be here. You tricked me into being in the same room with him."
"Now that we have the empirical data for this incident for all of us to go over - Mr. Redgrave, sit down."
"Go ahead, Mr. Dacamara."

"That was no trick, Mr. Dacamara - Asch is the one who attacked you, and Asch needs to come clean with what he did. He can only do that by being the one to come to you and apologize for his actions and give his assurances that it will never happen again. He will answer to me if it does."
"He is most assuredly not here to threaten you or make you try to recant your story. I know exactly what happened," he says, pointing at the screen for emphasis. "Asch was not in control of his temper...and your words to him were a bit confrontational as well."
"The two of you are in this room because I would like you to make your peace and move on with your lives. I have no other agenda than that."
"Oh, I guess everything is just fine then." Michael replies, voice dripping with sarcastic venom.
Asch's muscles tense up visibly and he consciously has to keep himself from losing it. "I never expected it to fix anything only to apologize cause I should. Alright Boss." Asch says as he takes a seat.
Michael watches the the video almost impassively, only wincing as he watches Asch's fangs sink into his shoulder.
"Fine. I'll admit that 'bat ears' was uncalled for."

Tamrin just looks at the two boys for a moment, then speaks.
"Look, I actually do get it, believe it or not - I'm not so long out of my own school days that I don't remember the politics and drama of being a teenager stuck with a bunch of other teenagers - some whom I got along with, and others not so much.
"I am not asking the two of you to forget the whole thing happened and become bosom buddies. What I am asking you to do is let the bad air out right here and now, and then leave those grievances here so you can both get on with your schooling and your lives. I want you to do that so this doesn't escalate into some kind or rivalry where something worse than hurt happens to either one of you..."

::Chan'trikalliax was my mother's brother, and most definitely a dragon. Also most definitely demon-possessed and an evil bastard. In addition to his other crimes he murdered all of his siblings except my mom.::

"And as far as you being here, I want to make one thing crystal clear. The only opinion that matters about who is enrolled in this school is the Headmaster's. Period. No other opinions need apply, because he's a pretty good judge of who should be in Avalon. If he thinks you have a place in this school, you do."

On account of them being all lethal and all...also pretty much all remnants of his occupation have been cleaned out. Mom and Grandma were both pretty keen on removing all reminders of him.::

She dove deep into the water letting herself just float as she tried to put those thoughts back into their safe little compartment.

Enre shrugs "Not of a lot of things will weird me out. As long as they do not bother me I do not really mind what they are. You said they would leave me alone that is fine."

She surfaced and climbed out onto a sun-warmed rock on the edge of the lake.
::You don't have anything to apologize for. I know I come with a lot of issues. I'm glad you're still willing to be my friend in spite of all that. It's okay to ask questions. All of these things...even though they still hurt, I'm really trying to just let them go. Eventually I may even be able to talk about them without freaking out. Sorry that day wasn't today.::

"Alright....I guess I was a little too optimistic about solving this in one go, but at least we've got an actual dialogue started here.
"There's' not much time left before breakfast is over, so go on to the Cafeteria and get to your classes. We'll meet back up after the weekend's events, in the morning and see what else we can do to iron this out. I'm going to trust both of you to take the high road with this and not get in each others' cross-hairs this weekend."
"Deal?" He asks (but doesn't quite ask) Asch and Michael as he looks back and forth between the two.

If she hadn't been in her dragon form she would probably have visibly blushed at so much praise. As it was she felt all warm and happy that her closest friend thought so highly of her.

He sighs, then speaks some magic over Asch's Caster and gunbelt. He then slides it over to him.
"I will be keeping vigil this weekend. You turn over a new leaf and let this behavior just blow away in the wind. I don't want any degree of this harassment - verbal or otherwise - happening to Michael or anybody else again. If it does, you may lose this for good," he says, tapping the weapon for emphasis.
"Now get out of here before your better half busts down the door."

Ephebe flew up and through the waterfall and waited on the other side for Krays to join her before heading down into the tunnels. She frequently moved straight through the earth around the tunnels in order to leave more room for Krays. At one point she stopped him before a turn to let a giant armadillo pass through the tunnel before they headed that way. It was a lot like navigating a maze. Finally they reached a small room with a ladder leading up to a trapdoor. Ephebe transformed back into a human.
"We can't get up into the temple without transforming. Since it wasn't originally built as a dragon's lair or anything. It used to be where the senior monks lived."
Concentrates for a second, but nothing happens
"Ok...we'll have to come back later then, I guess. Sorry."
