I need another scan to verify results, but if your treatment worked as intended that aspect of the virus was eradicated. And I am not in the habit of losing patients Miss Mar'Niell. Or letting them freeze...Ryuzo can you grab a set of scrubs for her please?"
The girl's eyes become a little hopeful as Nala speaks of a cure, and Nala watches that hope die in the girl's eyes as explains that the virus cannot be eradicated. The girl's voice is heavy and full of despair, "My name is Jessa Mar'Niell. Not that it will matter; she will have me again soon. You should kill me. That will get rid of her." She visibly gathers her tattered courage and sits up on the edge of the table, eyes going a little wide as she sees the ruin that was made of her clothing by the shells that took her down.
"Yeah, sure."
He disappears for a couple minutes, then reappears with a set of scrubs and slippers. He hands them to the girl, then steps back.
"Thank you," Nala said, smiling. "Alright, Miss Mar'Niell, I'm going to pull this curtain here and you can get dressed. Once you're ready we can take care of that scan, and if you get a clean bill of health then we can all leave this isolab and head to the school proper. This may all seem a little overwhelming at first after everything you've been through, but don't worry. You're safe here and we will do our best to let you take things at your own speed."
She pulled the curtain and went to check on the biohazard readings one last time while she waited.

wish i could, just got home from a 16 hour shift, way too tired right now

Jessa Mar'Niell |

Jessa takes the scrubs and slippers from Ryuzo, watching him warily. Her movements are graceful, though there is very little enthusiasm in them.
A few rustlings come from behind the curtain and the girl steps out from behind it wearing the medical clothing she was given. She has her arms clasped and pressed tight to her middle. She is a young girl, perhaps fifteen if she is small for her age, or as young as thirteen. She has hair as black as a raven's wing, and eyes that would put a sapphire to shame. She stands looking at Nala and Ryuzo through a curtain of her hair, uncertainty and resignation in every line of her posture.

Lurch the Narrator |

The biohazard monitors indicate that though there is still the presence of the airborne virus, the pacification nanites have rendered it unable to infect anyone, and both Nala and Ryuzo read as non-infected. The girl is still reading as a deadly biohazard, but the threat seems to not be escaping her body.

Headmaster Ryo |

Eventually zix closes one of his many books and heads out of the library, a stack of books following behind him, and he makes his way to the headmaster's office and knocks firmly with his topmost left hand
"Come in, Professor." The door opens and Rio gestures to the chair in front of his desk. "You've managed to catch me at a point of rest, though I'm sure another world-threatening event is on it's way."

"Perhaps the magically guided location system, reffered to as the arrows may be of assistance? There is no need to rush to do so now, but classes begin tomorrow and if you would like to be included in them, it is to your benefit to complete your registration tonight."
"I guess... I don't know who it would be registering me, but I guess that doesn't really matter right now."

Agarthian Storyteller |

"Me either. My Obaa-sama can do very beautiful embroidery. That's why he has so many gorgeous kimonos....well, that and he was a bit of a courtesan back when he was young. Okaa-san says that's where my sister Nanami gets her boy-crazy ways from," she said, shaking her head. "She says that Obaa-sama has always had a weakness for pretty young men....Which isn't really the same since as far as I can tell Nanami doesn't care as much about pretty. She could really stand to be a little bit pickier about who she chooses to spend time in the woodshed with, you know? I mean, at least ask for a name first!"
"Oh, I know exactly what you mean! One of my Elven cousins is pretty infamous for all the times he's had to buy potions to cleanse a disease from himself. Probably doesn't help that he lives in a port town and drinks a lot with the fishers when their boats come in, but still."
"Umm....I don't think pants are a good idea. I would ruin them since I have to cut a hole to let my tail through. The skirt would be better."
"You're right. I hadn't thought about your tail... Yes, the skirt is a much nicer fit for you."

HRMS-XI "Hermes" |

"Would you like to discuss a topic or expend time on an activity? I am versed in a range of puzzle, board, card and word games."
Hermes doesn't move when he speaks save for a row of lights over his mouth that blink when he says something.
He doesn't move at all until he needs to.

Continuing the mental conversation privately, Anahita replies, ::I do not know who the Burning Man is, or I should say, Half Burning Man, is. He discussed something with her before the Dawnflower presented myself to him. That was when he seemingly changed his mind at something not quite right, apologized, I think, and I woke up at the pathway to Avalon's doors. The urge to learn has increased dramatically in my existence since then. It is not specific to Avalon's residents. Everything. It's as if even the simplest of facts must been questioned, thrice, or endlessly. Even my own thinking is subject to this intro and extro-spection. Is that even a word? Regardless... You avoided the healing of Life, why? You are also oddly avoiding your parents, yet you brought strangers and dear friends across the universe in their aid, why? Your actions strike me as odd, but I'll admit I barely know you.::
Anahita continues to watch the villagers after the healing energies, along with keeping her attention to the countryside they are in. As before, distracted somewhat, or just actively trying to take it all in.
Vai listens to the story as she works, a troubled expression on her face. When Anahita mentions the fact that she's avoiding her parents, she straightens slightly, perhaps taken slightly by surprise by the statement. ::I.... I'm trying to keep my cool together. Even if I do not want them murdered or killed... enough even to ask such favours of everyone... I'm not sure that I will be able to be civil with them. I keep losing my temper over even the smallest thing, and I cannot afford to do that now. I'll go over to them, I just need time to make sure I can keep my calm.::
::As for the healing... if that was a Champion boon... I think Lumos might be the one blocking it. Champion powers only work on other Champions if the Patron says they do.:: Vai adds on, a touch of bitterness around her mental voice.
::I'm still worried that you're being manipulated or something, Anahita, but the desire to learn isn't necessarily a bad thing.::

Silinrul struggles weakly to his feet, leaning on Ehos for support. It takes him some time, but finally he stands. "Wha.. Ugh. What in ..Oooh..I...hurt, a lot" And with that, he promptly falls over, luckily avoiding smashing into anything. Whether from blood loss, shock or something else is unclear, but the Lycan is unconscious.
Nurse Julie was lost in thoughts of her date with a handsome young doctor, when a badly wounded Silinrul arrives.
She knew he was coming but it still caught her a little off guard as her mind had started to wander.
She drops everything at the sight and rushes to his aid. Oh dear! Get him on this bed over here.indicating an empty gurney that was staged for his arrival
Nurse Julie fumbles through various draws making a total mess as she nervously attempts to locate supplies to help with the bleeding and get the patient stabilized.
she seems panic a bit when faced with a real emergency, how she became a nurse is sometimes a real mystery.

Vare, the Summoner |

The door to the SIM Room where Maya is/was, slides open as Vare indicates his intent to enter, and beyond it, sitting lotus style in the middle of the room, completely blank and square, unfocused illumination, is Maya in her black spandex looking jumpsuit. If someone appreciates the athletic figure of a late twenty, early thirty looking, hair up in a French braid.
She opens her eyes and looks over at Vare as he steps in, rising up to stand.
"Hello again, Wizard Vare. Welcome back. I trust you are doing well?" She has that light English sophisticated accent as she speaks.
Vare seems to take a moment to peer around the room, seeming perhaps a little taken aback by the blank chamber. "As well as could be expected, given the circumstances." he replies a little tentatively, continuing the scan the room before his eyes finally come back to rest on the room's lone inhabitant. He steps inside as the door shuts behind him. "I would like to apologize for the delay in my return. There was something of a situation which the Headmaster was following and I got somewhat distracted from my original goal. I trust you were able to help young Tryko'Sam with his memory troubles?" Vare seems decidedly less jump than he has in previous encounters, though Maya may note something of a look of awe on his face if not in his voice as he continues to examine the room.

Midori Tsuyomi |

"Hello Lang-kun! Sara-rin!" Midori calls as she emerges from the brush nearby to their campsite, though she doesn't wave as her hands appear to be somewhat full, a bundle of firewood in one, and what appears to be something rather delicate in the other, given how she is holding it.

Tybalt Baneko |

Where Melody is getting a snack, Tybalt is getting another meal.
This time it's mostly chicken and cream.
"So where do you want to sit?"
Who all is in the cafe?

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybs looks at Mel, allowing her to decide. No matter what happens, Tybalt stays on the other side of Mel from Arthur, to slightly reduce the uncomfortableness of warm people.
I really need a new heat guard. But I'm in the middle of making Dave's present... Dave makes magic stuff too... Maybe he can make a ring that does the same thing.... If he can stand to look at me...

Melody Waverider |

Mel picks a table in the center of everything that may be going on in the cafeteria.
after Tybs takes his seat mel leans over and whispers to him (in his native cat language)
Don't worry, he will, and I'll help with the shield thing if you want
question is how does mel know what Tybs was thinking? this new power can easily be blocked by a simple DC16 will save but I figured as it took you intially off guard she caught a bit of it before your will kicked in.
I know it really would have been ineffective but it makes for a better story as her psionic powers are suddenly kicking in seemingly all at once

"His do you speak folk so fluently? That's not even common folk, that's actual felid folk. And how did you know that? I know you got some kind of powers. Can you make magic stuff too?"
He looks at her questioningly, but not like angry, more interested.

Silinrul |

Silinrul's physiology is mostly the same as any other lycan on record, matching Jaiye's quite closely. Except for two things. One is the obvious wings coming from his back. They seem to blend perfectly with his biology, like they were always there, and just now made an appearance.
The second difference is his heart. It is a fair amount bigger than it should be, and it pulses with incredibly powerful life and nature magicks. Such energies seem to suffuse his body and very blood.

GM Fireclaw |

"I am Vickory West of the Dragon clan, fourth of the clans of Sorenson's children. I come from another place and am a stranger to these lands."
"Dragon c-clan?" he says, the fear in his eyes only seeming to increase at Vickory's mention of dragons. He shuffles away as much as his state allows, which is to say, not very much. "What? Which dragon? What about those... things?"

Voice of Awesomeness |

The young man, seeing how worn down and in need of food the villagers are, disappears into the forest. An hour later, he returns carrying the carcasses of several large prey animals Deer, caribou, whatever that he felled with his bow.
He clears a large space, and gets to building a fire pit, while also starting to clean his kills.
Repost for FCD, this is my mystery man helping out the villagers with dinner

Vickory West |

Vickory frowns a moment, not knowing why the negativity towards dragons,"We are the dragon clan cause we killed a dragon of the Eastern Empire and Sorenson made its bones into one of my kind, though she is dragon shaped. As for those things, they feed on pain. Not sure what it was, but something attracted them here. My guess is it was something tied to that ghost girl that Vai knows, the monsters had the ghost girl trapped in a device, though we destroyed it along with the monsters."

Melody Waverider |

Mel looks at Tybs quizzically I just speak, I don't know how I know so many languages. I just do, I always have. I can even speak so everyone hears me in their own native language all at the same time. I use that for special performances.
as for your other question, know what? and no on the magic stuff, I don't do magic. I was thinking more of a tech solution.

Carl Ironfist Prometheus. |

Stands on the aft side of the HammerShaft, Carl is hitting a number of shield plates with a Hammer, they seem to be locked from damage done will flying to the fake sun.
"Bang, bang, bang"
The plat slides back into place.
Carl smiles and taking a puff from his cigar, moves onto the next plat
"Bang, Bang, Bang"

Maya Rhys |

Vare seems decidedly less jump than he has in previous encounters, though Maya may note something of a look of awe on his face if not in his voice as he continues to examine the room.
"Yes, as best as I was able, he's as close to what we can manage from his and my own memories, with a hint of youthfulness mixed in to integrate into the school until we can find a universal cure all, which we may have, or the next big thing rolls along. I have to admit, it's refreshing to be around people with power levels displayed so far. Reminds me home and our efforts there. I suppose I just need to sort out what I'll be doing, I was going to be talked with the head of security first. I'd rather not be on her bad side."
She continues to sit there, smiling faintly. She does study Vare's expression calmly though.

Tybalt Baneko |

"OK. You have some kind of powers. You do blink stuff and read minds and talk so everyone can understand, that's not nothing. It might not be magic, but it's definitely something. As far as that goes, maybe. techy stuff is just always so bulky. It would be nice if I could make it to extend to other people too, so they're not cold when I hug them. Turning it on and off would be nice too, I guess. If it is a techy thing, maybe I could be able to turn it on and off with this thing Johnny put in me."
Tybalt doesn't seem upset at all until he talks about Johnny, and that's just slightly sad, not so much upset. Tybs really couldn't get upset with Mel.

Renkai Urmas |

Renkai sits down quietly and runs his pen across the paper, writing short words full of meaning in surprisingly neat handwriting.
he pins the note to Melody's door, and heads to his room, putting on his jacket and leaving to follow a rumor... and his conscious.
His room is empty in his wake, not a single thing left.

Melody Waverider |

Mel looks a little embarassed at Tyb's information.
I...I'm sorry, did I read your mind? I mean I know I have some mind powers, Heck, I've used them on Vai, and on Dom in the past. at least I didn't take your memories or anything.

Tybalt Baneko |

"It's OK. You have a power you didn't know. That's fine. That's what happened to Dave. I just wish more people would understand that it's not your fault when things like this happen."
He takes a gulp of food.
"Anyways, how exactly do you think you'd do the techy thing?"

Anahita bint Tariq |

Vai listens to the story as she works, a troubled expression on her face. When Anahita mentions the fact that she's avoiding her parents, she straightens slightly, perhaps taken slightly by surprise by the statement. ::I.... I'm trying to keep my cool together. ::I'm still worried that you're being...
Anahita pauses in her review of the townsfolk and peers over at Vai briefly.
::Your emotional state is heightened, you are quick to anger, and yet, you feel I am potentially being manipulated. I've little evidence to suggest that, what do you base this on? I do know that there have been powerful entities of late involved in my existence, or revealed as such, but, where does one draw the line? I'd be happy to discuss free will and destiny, if you wished, but I do not see any evidence of my being manipulated. Fooled, perhaps, but that rarely happens-- or has. I am being quite cautious in my affairs. Even being here, I am being cautious.::
She looks again around at the people, a pensive mask on her face.
::We should return to Avalon, I don't believe our being on this planet is wise- we disrupt the balance it has, just as easily as those demons that were here prior did. Our mere presence could be reason for your time traveling alternate to arrive and cause chaos as she did in Avalon. When you step into a pond, ripples happen. That sounds appropriate for our being here.::
At one point she peers over at some plants nearby and seems to dwell on a brief thought, looks to the villagers, then back.
::That warrior with the bow has walked off. I suppose he'll return though? Interesting how we happened upon two more strangers, willing to assist, it appears, and on a completely different planet at that. Fascinating.::
As before, she appears thoughtful, as though hearing something elsewhere while looking attentively at her surroundings.

I have no idea right now, I will have to work on it. might need a bit of Arthur's help. anyway, I recall you saying something about costumes and lights? You guys got a gig for your band?
Oh and for the record, I never really did blame Dave for anything.
Mel has a sip of some water and munches on a chocolate cookie.

Tybalt Baneko |

"I know you wouldn't, but a lot of other people aren't so understanding. I hear people talking about him. And it's worse than just that. Casil actually attacked me because I didn't abandon Dave after it happened. He said it was because there's some evil guy in his mind. I know I'm talking about understanding and stuff, but that just sounds like something you make up. 'I didn't do anything. The voice in my head made me do it.' I just don't know what everyone's deal is. I'm one of the people it actually happened to and I still like him..."
He does a decent impersonation of Ace's voice when he does the quoted part and puts an odd emphasis when he says 'like' at the end. He pauses for a moment and takes a swig of slushied cream.
"Sorry. I just ramble sometimes. Anyways. Lights and costumes together, actually. I'm not comfortable with the pyrotechnics everyone else has to make their shows look good, so I thought ours would be cool if we could use electric lights, so they don't get hot. I have sketches in my notebook, but I have the clothes done too. The main issue is finding a way to power them that won't be uncomfortable or get in the way. I think all of us have magic ability, so if we can figure out a way to convert that into energy, that would be cool, but I'm up for ideas. That's not my area."
He tries to eat some banana custard that freezes when he picks it up, setting it back down and eating it with a wedge of fried fish.

" I take offence to calling tech bulky" he transforms his hand into a gun and back "some machines are soo small you can't even see them"

Carl Ironfist Prometheus. |

Carl now all his work on the ship is done had headed off to find Arthur,
this is if you around the school and mot off some place guys
He pops into being close by and walks up, a but hugest his cigar has just gone out. But he knew how the school worked.
cant even get a we drunk here
Seen he's with others Carl stop close folds his arms and looks on nodding to them

Tybalt Baneko |

"Oh, that's neat. How you do that? I don't like guns all that much, but it's cool you can do that. Do you think your tiny machines could help?"
Nanites would actually be a cool and sensible way to do this. Thermal nanites that insulate his temperature from other people on proximity. Able to be de/activated by the lace. That could be cool. Speaking of that, does Arthur have any technology senses? He might be able to detect the lace somehow. If he does, it's pretty far ahead of what he knows. Organic technology, also integrated with Tyb's natural magic.
Tybalt looks at Carl and gives a short wave and smile, then an almost imperceptible twitch of fear or something before it's gone again at the smell of smoke he bears.

Melody Waverider |

wanted to say something, but i will refrain
Mel pulls out her sonic device and starts to adjust some settings when Tybs seems to like Arthur's possible solution.
she thinks for a minute then scans Tybs anyway.
the sonic vibrations probably hurting his ears, but after a few seconds its all done.
she transfers the data to her datapad and starts working on something.
sorry Tybs, about the noise, but this little device has all the same features as the big med scanner in the infirmary, as well as some other neat little tricks
Mel returns to her work then glances at Arthur, then she notices Carl.
Oh Carl, Thanks for the flowers, it was really nice, you were the only one that brought me any.

Tybalt Baneko |

Go ahead. We haven't done all that much past it. Conversations are weird here and now I want to know what you were gonna say. :)

![]() |

at the momen yes, but it's touch range, so he wouldn't detect it"I can make other stuff, but the other stuff is bigger and I like this shirt"
and Arthur can make tech items that work like magic items, but they are 50% more expensive than a magic item would be (eg 75% of market value instead of 50%) on the other hand he can make them 50% smaller or 10% faster at my option

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt twitches some when the buzzing happens.
The scan reveals that he is of an non human race(a bit obvious). He is in good health, heavily magical, a current temperature of ≈-20°F. His biology is in perfect working order, all the biological systems, respiratory, reproductive, circulatory, endocrine, digestive, etc, all have adapted at a cellular level to work and operate as normal at this temperature, even blood flow that would be frozen solid moves normally. There's a small twitch of the same energy she recognizes from Dom and his bending. Up in the command center, there's higher amounts of electrical activity, he has a very active and fast mind. She pings something else also... there's something in his head that isn't necessarily supposed to be there, but there's also no negative effect to it. There's something of a carbon based machine, it connects to a few part of the brain. A piece is connected to the memory center and connects the two parts of the brain together. It buzzes with the same electricity and magic that is in the rest of his head. When the sonic pings it, something pings the sonic back accompanied by a blip on the scan. The device seems to have a moderate range of communication sort of like WiFi that is searching for technology to connect with, possibly even remotely operating things. Despite this, it isn't being used for anything. There seem to be a few different 'apps' that aren't being used.
"It's ok. You got any ideas Mel? What's your buzzy thingy say?"

Carl Ironfist Prometheus. |

Carl looks at Tybalt,
"Sorry lad did-nee think"
And throws his now out cigar in the trash.
then keeping pace says to Mel
"Well that's all right lass, you need a cher up, good ta see ya whole and about again."
Then using his thum to point at Arthur
"Diss playboy still trying ta show ya his etchings Mel. Keep an eye on him, whole line of broken hearts follow him, from space port ta rock. Them and a few none taken wedding views, Remember the 8 foot green lass Arthur, I think her and her pap may still be waiting and the Alter for ya to show up, ether that or she's with her layer talking paternity suit. haha"
Carl Jokes, going back to his favoured sport of ribbing Arthur.
Wile fall into step with Tybalt.
I think there about the same side

Tybalt Baneko |

"It's OK. It's just that smell. My dad used to use stuff like that when he did predictions for the village. He got really addicted and stuff just got worse and worse... he got really sick before I left... anyways, I made that kilt you asked for."
He dissapears for a moment with a flurry of small bubbles floating where he leaves and a few more when he reappears. He offers a bundle of plaid, leather and enamel bits to Carl.
"I had to guess at the size, but it should fit with a belt. That seems really comfortable, by the way. I might try one sometime."
It's the same color as what he was wearing at the time.

Kevin Ramos |

"So you do see in color. You're really fascinating."
He fires off a few more mortars.

Kevin Ramos |

"Ya, but I don't care about what humans *BOOM* do. You're actually a species I care about. Humans are all so straight forward, all concerned with their things. You're so carefree and unique. There's probably never been another creature like you, or I guess *BOOM* me now that I think about it. But there have been billions on billions of humans across the multi verse."
