The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

He looks straight into her eyes, conveying the (platonic) commitment he has to keeping her safe.

Mel just looks at Tybs, some tears still in her eyes. but right now all of her worries are pushed aside. she suddenly just gives tybs a big hug. I'm glad you are my friend.

She holds him as long as he allows, knowing his sensitivity to heat.

Mel reaches over and grabs the paper with Tyb's note I guess it's my turn to help you? with a little like I won't totally screw up everything

He allows her to hug him for a short while, he runs his paw comfortingly up and down her upper back, careful to stay in friend territory. After he breaks it, he sits on one of the beds for a moment. "Well there's an array of things. I had an idea for an instrument I think you could help with, the band costumes are made and we could take a look at them, but I don't think that you're in the mood for wiring right now. Then there's, uh... I guess I could ask this like you did... what do you, uh.... what do you think of Dave?"
He seems even more embarrassed of himself than she was, looking away as the pale blue blush fills in the white space of his upper cheeks.

Hey Dom, what's the area of effect on that snowstorm, where is it centered, and does it go to full storm right away, or is there a few rounds worth of build?

Mel is silent for a bit. Dave?

Ahhh, I have been told that I am not supposed to like him, but I seldom do what I'm told. But truth be told, I think he is nice, He may need a little guidance after the whole incident. besides He didn't really have control over that anyway.

Mel tries to get a look at Tyb's eyes, Why do you ask? wait a tic...you asked for the same reason I asked about Arthur...Tybs, You like him, don't you, I mean really like him.

Mel tries to sound like she is teasing him but more sympathetic and understanding, as well as a little curious.

He rejoins Sara on the trail heading back to the campsite. I hope we got enough firewood

Lang walks beside Sara looking very proud to have her with him. she even hears him mutter "Sara, my new little sister" like he is trying to sound proud of his new family member.

as they walk Lang stops Sara, wait a second. Is it alright if a call you my little sister?

That should answer the question about time. Doesn't answer the question about area, but I'm guessing it's centered in the square where everyone is getting shot at, especially focused on the side the arrows have been coming from.

"Well, now I feel better about slicing it open. At least it shortened its misery. Now if we can just get Saffire to accept that he isn't a big drake," she said, shaking her head in exasperation as she cuddled her exhausted familiar.

With the help of Michael's disk, it was a much quicker trip back to the house.

When they went inside Kitty bowed apologetically to Michael's mother while they dripped on the floor.

As the stasis field dissipates, the biohazard alarms start going crazy. The girl tries to draw in a ragged breath and immediately tries to scream, but only a ragged gurgling sound escapes her. Her wounds are obviously causing her great pain, and just as clearly incapacitating her; she can do little more than writhe on the table in agony. As Nala closes in with the nanite injection, the girl's skin seems to ripple, and her wounds start to heal with astonishing speed. Bloodshot eyes open and focus on Nala. Another gurgling sound comes from her gaping throat wound, and she tries feebly to move away from Nala, one hand raised as if to ward her off.

Sorry missed this. 20 foot radius. It is centered on the first area of cover in the direction of the shots were coming from. The storm is full blown in the same round as created. Basically he's guessing where the assassin would be with and area effect.

How the hell do you find such perfect songs?
Tybalt listens to Melody's song with his legs pulled up to his chest, now with his shirt pulled over them and his tail curving around him.
"You're... right. You're really right. If this is meant to be, it will happen when it's supposed to. I can't rush Dave into this, I just need to let it go and let him decide where we can go from there. You always know the right song for things. "Works for me, miss. If you would like, just walk this way with me, we'll pop out near the place and come out of an alley, no one's looking that I can spot." He motions in a direction and starts walking while looking back at Sadie.

If she should follow along his side, before she knows it, they will both be in an alley, and back in the clearing, the two will simply have vanished as if an fading away vertically, or stepping through a portal.

-----

In the alley, which isn't too horribly smelling, Tryko'Sam seems to have ditched the happy go lucky expression and all, looking around at the opening to the main street.

"The building I think might be a temple is .. that way." He points with confidence and starts to walk over out of the alley.

"I'm pretty good with directions, distance and timing, so .. shall we? Do you know if these priesty types are paid, or do they tend to help out of the dictates of their god?"

He'll keep with Sadie, though lead her towards it. Most of the people here are 'fantasy' setting, if not all.

Happy to make this part of the scene go fast, if Fireclaw and Lynora want, this wasn't intended to be a time sink at all, just something the PCs would offer to do.

As Anahita's life energies flow out around her, villagers who were only groggily noticing her or paying attention slowly begin to heal. Even those still unconscious feel a trickle of the life energy, and begin to mend.

I'm going to assume Yrrin is also channelling here, so the villagers are pretty much all healed of their wounds.

Despite the healing energies present, most of these people are still decidedly very groggy, a likely after-effect of whatever was keeping them sedated.

Belsayv

Belyu, Adon, Yrrin, and the as-yet-unamed stranger all easily spot a pair of the stirring villagers which Vai appears to be specifically avoiding - both fair haired, a man and a woman. The woman is the only elf among all the mixed-race villagers. It's pretty clear, these are Vai's parents. Alive, if still extremely groggy. Depending if Vickory understands such relationships (and has finished what she was doing with her cloak), she also may spot the family resemblance.

The goal for which they came appears to have succeeded. Vai's parents are alive. Mission success.

Reapling (scout form) rogue, black blooded oracle, gestalt lvl 16

Vickory having completed what she was doing, starts asking some villagers about the local world (as far as Vickory knows this is the world she will be living in for awhile) she will start with the two Vai is avoiding.

The family resemblance goes unnoticed as most reaplings look related, though she partially understands the type of relationship, though it hasn't been mentioned yet to her, so she will ask the couple about Vai, (out of curiosity why Vai is avoiding them. This is her reason for asking, not her question.).

Female Half-elf Gestalt Sorcerer6/Dragon Disciple9 // Rogue (Swashbuckler)8/Duelist7

Anahita will notice that, inspite of the fact that Vai is clearly paying her /some/ measure of attention, the energies of Life flowing out from herself do not appear to affect Vai at all. SHe does not seem invigorated, and her remaining wounds from the previous battle do not seem to close. (At least, until Yrrin's healing power comes into effect).

Vai does continue to work on the laying out and seperating people, fetching water and other mundane tasks. Anahita may notice though that she's specifically avoiding a section of people. (As per the post above, Anahita can also make the connection fairly easily) She does seem to be using the converrsaiton with Anahita and the work as a means from distracting herself, or putting off actually facing her parents. ::I thought the Burning Man was the Dawnflower or an avatar or something. But, I definitely understand about being uncomfortable in new places.:: And then something about what Anahita said seems to click with Vai and she straightens up and looks directly at her, as before she had maintained her working while conversing. ::Wait... cataloguing abilities and stuff? Does this only happen with people at Avalon?::

Most of the villagers appears to be still fairly non-responsive, thanks to whatever sedation they had been under, though they do seem to be gradually coming out of it, quicker now that they are being hydrated.

Of the two in particular which Vickory has selected to address, the man appears to be more cogniscant of his surroundings, though when Vai's name is mentioned, he seems to appear to gain a little more lucidity, sitting up slightly before returning to a laying position. "Vai?" he says groggily, before his eyes fall on Vickory's lower half and she can see the fear in his eyes, though numbed. "Who arrr youu?" comes the numbed-sounding voice of the middle-aged human.

The urge to learn has increased dramatically in my existence since then. It is not specific to Avalon's residents. Everything. It's as if even the simplest of facts must been questioned, thrice, or endlessly. Even my own thinking is subject to this intro and extro-spection. Is that even a word? Regardless... You avoided the healing of Life, why? You are also oddly avoiding your parents, yet you brought strangers and dear friends across the universe in their aid, why? Your actions strike me as odd, but I'll admit I barely know you.::

Anahita continues to watch the villagers after the healing energies, along with keeping her attention to the countryside they are in. As before, distracted somewhat, or just actively trying to take it all in.

adon sheathes his weapon, and looks about, listening to conversations. It didn't take him too long to remember that he was starving again.

Vare has finally found his way to the Sim Rooms (with Rena's help), and knocks before he enters into the Sim Room where Maya had been. Rena had told him that they seemed to have done the task for Tryko'Sam, but he still wanted to speak with Maya...

If Maya does indeed answer the door or call Vare in, he looks a little troubled, but forces a smile on his oddly-gazing face.

The door to the SIM Room where Maya is/was, slides open as Vare indicates his intent to enter, and beyond it, sitting lotus style in the middle of the room, completely blank and square, unfocused illumination, is Maya in her black spandex looking jumpsuit. If someone appreciates the athletic figure of a late twenty, early thirty looking, hair up in a French braid.

She opens her eyes and looks over at Vare as he steps in, rising up to stand.

"Hello again, Wizard Vare. Welcome back. I trust you are doing well?" She has that light English sophisticated accent as she speaks.

The young man, seeing how worn down and in need of food the villagers are, disappears into the forest. An hour later, he returns carrying the carcasses of several large prey animals Deer, caribou, whatever that he felled with his bow.

He clears a large space, and gets to building a fire pit, while also starting to clean his kills.

Lang returns after a bit with Sara carrying a small bundle of firewood.

and hovering above Lang's head in a little swirl of air is what appears to be a jar of honey.

Maybe if you just sing from now on things won't go so bad." He says the last bit with one of those short, punctuated laughs that happen when you try to laugh after you just stopped crying.

Mel sits on the bed beside Tybs. she laughs a bit with him. seriously though is that all you wanted? I mean I am not the greatest advice when it comes to relationships. But still I feel privileged that you thought to ask me.

"I don't know. That helped, though. I'm not sure if anything is going to make everything OK. I guess I just have to wait until he wants to talk to me, if thats ever again...Do you still want to get food? Skydiving made me hungry, like it was supposed to I guess... I just really want food right now. Heavy food."
He pulls his legs out of his shirt and examines the reorganized closet.

Sara walks in with Lang.
"I found an empty buggy house."
She has an odd hornet's nest in one arm and the other holds up her shirt with tinder and kindling in it.
She looks at Lewis on the ground.
"Is the lizardy thingy gonna be OK?"

Sounds good to me, lets get something to eat. And I better warn you, I may be in the mood for spontaneous singing.

she opens the door to join Tybs for some late dinner.

but just before they leave she rushes to the closet and moves a couple of outfits around, I still like a little bit of chaos

Tybs probably just noticed that she is still wearing her bathrobe and some pink bunny slippers. the back of her robe has a white bunny tail.

she is missing the ears...
