Ace closes his eyes, and regulates his breathing. He then enters a deep trance, reaching out with his mind across the multiverse, seeking The Traveler. Upon 'finding' him, Ace greets him formally and begins to chat with his deity.
"Is Kara the one who killed the owner of the tailor shop last night?"
Ginni pretends not to notice the tear as she hands Vai more cookie dough ice cream.
"Thanks." Ginni barely gets her hand clear as the infamous Sunwake appetite almost chomps right now on the ice cream. Vai's composure seems to be back fairly quickly.
Vai looks around as if realizing something. "Why didn't Sadie come? I might have been told before but I forgot."
"Honestly-- I've no idea, just a vague sense of worry. I'm not sure if you have the facilities to deal with -- if it's needed -- the situation, so you can forgive me, I /do/ want to help, I just can't recall enough about things to know if I need too."
Clearly he's at a slight loss of words here, or purpose.
"On the flip side, if people in town start seeing more metal grates being eaten up-- wait, why would a robot thing eat up the whole grate? I mean that hole we ran into was much larger than it was, kind of tiny versus nearly 3 feet or more wide. Did your scan of this metal bit we brought back suggest it was made of the metal grate metal? Or something off world?"
Again, the one bit that Vai has brought, didn't have alloys found on Agartha.
"That did strike me as odd-- why chew up or dissolve the grating to a sewer. It's certainly out of sight, and it did chew up more than one grating... more like iron bars..."
He's clearly thinking, but it's only going so far. "At one point, I could swear I knew more science, but..." He gives a shrug and sighs. "Akin to opening a blank book, really... there is a book, just some pages are blank."
Glancing off, then back, he asks,...
She frowned. "Well...nanites would use materials around them to make more...although they only need carbon based molecules which are pretty easy to come by. It might need metal molecules....I'll study it further. Hopefully if that's the case we found it before it could manufacture another one if it does reproduce in that fashion. I can't be sure yet."
"As far as Ephebe goes, I think that you'd be better off asking her. She has a lot going on. I'm not sure if she needs help with paperwork, or just general troubleshooting. Are you good with kids?"

"You're very strong Cha-tan." Midori says, going about her measurements delicately, knowing that Chara was delicate. "You don't even cry when you get hurt badly. That's a kind of strength."
A little more quietly now, as the conversation was getting a bit more private. Midori sounds completely sincere when saying this: "Besides Cha-tan, you... you don't seem to get sad about your lot in life - you're so very hopeful and energetic despite everything. That's the best kind of strength. The kind of strength that can help other people see the good in themselves too."

"We didn't invite her. For the same reason that Ace wasn't allowed to stay even if he happened to be female at the time. So that Sadie and Morrivan didn't end up making out in the corner during what's supposed to be girl time. No romantic partners allowed. Don't worry, Sadie wasn't offended. She knows that we all think of her as a friend too. But she was also way behind on homework and stuff, so she said she was gonna work on that so she had some time for Morrivan tomorrow."
"Igni, this blade is incredible. I really expected to have trouble with the balance, but it just flows, like an extension of my arm. You are a really gifted craftsman," she said, impressed.

Ehos did all he could in that situation: namely, returned her hug fiercely, a hand on the back of her head.

He didn't say that he loved her back, because he wasn't sure of that. He had thought he knew what love was... but then this morning had changed all that. Now he wasn't as sure. He holds Jaiye tight as long as she needs him.
Sun chimes in a bit concerning his friend Lang
Midori, You don't have to be stronger. believe it or not, there are qualities you have that Lang is a little jealous of, and he works hard to get as good as you are. He wouldn't tell me what they are but he has told me this much. Besides, knowing Lang, he would have done whatever he could to push you to use your abilities as best as you could, to challenge yourself. Lang would never feel you were "in the way"
He really wanted to say goodbye to you before leaving hoping you would have some advice for him but because of time he was unable to. I am sure he felt bad about that.
Sun smiles hoping he was just as good as Lang was at helping friends.
"That's okay Sun-san. We went to try and help my clan make peace with the Akuma. But... I thought my brother had been killed. It made me realize how far behind I really am. I couldn't do anything to save him."

"Kids? I .. suppose? I'm lovable. Maybe not the best with diapers and what not, but ... sure? Yeah." He peers at her again and then asks, "Why? I'm happy to help as needed."

I do not consider it bad luck, it is a gift he possesses, which appears to be focused upon himself, perhaps the opposite of his sister, Ursula. Recently, he did demonstrate an ability to pull all the negative effects upon himself, which was rather heroic.:

Displaying her willingness, Shaypeer then adds, "Close your eyes and prepare for the magic to be cast, I will be the conduit from the drawn to reality." With that, he puts a hand on her frame, and a hand on the paper of the drawing.
With her eyes closed, she doesn't really see much, but there's sounds and a murmuring on Shaypeer's part, casting ensues, and unless she peeks, she can feel her body shifting and changing-- magic coursing through her, and some innate 'understanding' woven into her frame, reformed into that of their combined description...
"Ha ha... it is done. Per your desire, a permanent humanoid form, with wings and looks as you requested."
And there she was - a lovely and curvy young lady. Her skin is a slightly tanned olive-ish colouration, her eyes are a striking green against her blue-white waist length hair which drapes around her. She is... barely dressed really. Wispy-white, almost-see-through pieces of cloth are draped across the more private areas, but for the most part - midriff and legs are all there. Needless to say - quite the heartbreaker, as Shaypeer described.
Rena herself looks down, obviously inspecting the handiwork. "Oh... this is fantastic Shaypeer." She does a couple little wiggles of fingers and toes, twisting and turning this way and that - which of course only causes her not-quite-nudity to be all that much sexier.

That said, he stays in the hug as long as she maintains it, and then steps back (the book is gone once again) to regard her warmly. "You should give those gorgeous legs a stretch, or the wings. Perhaps a quick fly over the gardens and the lake?" With that, he motions towards a window.

vriskra finally pulls herself from the shadow. Her scales are rougher, and much more solid-looking.
Whatever magic causes Rena to float hasn't gone away, and Rena gets so lost in all the new sensations of this body that she doesn't quite pay attention as she as Shaypeer float some 5 feet off the ground during the hug. Her arms are brutally strong though, even if that isn't displayed in her form entirely - the muscles are there, but nicely toned, not a lady-bodybuilder at all.
Once she's realized her mistake, the two are returned to the ground, and Rena nods. "You're right. Even if you don't think you need it, thank you again! I'm going to go stretch these wings!" With a dazzling smile and an innocent peck on the cheek - later Rena will ponder the new instinct which compelled her to do that, but right now, her angelic wings open and she swoops out of the window, and out onto the grounds.

She shrugged. "I think he's more comfortable as a guy. Whichever he prefers, I don't mind."

Just let her know you're willing to help...actually it might be good for you since a lot of what you've forgotten is pretty basic stuff and even taking just a class period to volunteer to work with the kids might help you pick up some of the basic stuff."

Grinning at Aananda's laughter, Tryko'Sam seems thrilled to hear it. "I'm kidding really-- I'm not interested in being bad ass, mostly just interested in getting through my day and enjoying life while helping out. There's a lot of potential here, but, what's the primary purpose of the place? You folks making some kind of hit squads of magical talent?"
Carl looks over at Renkai.
"So Renkai wont to say why thee was outcast?"
"Acid? you mean the Dwarf Ale, far as I knows, Dwarf ale is strong but acid, nay lad, it just puts hears on ya chest, its good for pain stripping as well"
Carl takes a swig off his dwarf ale, some drops on the ground and you can see the grass go brown before your eyes, Carl belches, there is quite a whiff after.
"See good for ya"
"Good for the digestion... Goes straight through your organs to spill out on the ground" he grins
then twirls the pool cue like a bo staff, and lightly points it at the base of the cue ball, and with a short shot he pops it up and into the center of the balls sending them spinning and bouncing in all directions
Carl looks over at Renkai.
"So Renkai wont to say why thee was outcast?"
"No"
He chuckles and he encourages her to follow him to the open water::this way youngling! Follow, me...::
She swam after him, a bit bemused. She wasn't sure she would ever get used to being called youngling again after such a long time being older than everyone else.

Dave looks slightly conflicted. he puts his hand on Tybalt's back as he tries to reassure him
"Would finding the anti fertility charm also lead us to finding this demon??"
"Would it be wise to go forward with my sugesstion to use myself and Ginni as bait?"

She just stays there for a while as if to reassure herself that he was still there. But eventually she did pull away, wiping the tears from her eyes with the back of her hand.
