They are globes of gold, made by an alchemist we once met. Very rare and difficult to make we were told. We truly mean you no harm. We came seeking a key and believe it to be with a dragon named Sycorag. We thought we would look closer on this beautiful lake before journeying to the mountains.

Mizaru, already on edge, moves fast when the dragon seems to attack Gunser. Unable to attack the dragon straight-on because of the muddy ground, he gains enough coherence to dash to the nearest cover instead. He understands nothing of what is going on.

It takes a long time but a mist exits from the item and lands on the surface of your skin, slowly seeping in. First it is freezing then it burns.

By your word you shall bring me ALL the gold you collect from Sycorag. Resist this spell and your death will be slow and painful. DC 20 if you choose to resist

Everyone Else:
Boneyard steps forward and for ten minutes stares at the dragon. a mist comes from an item he holds and settles on Boneyard. Ten minutes later the mist sinks into Boneyard and he is freed

You will return with ALL the gold you collect from Sycorag. It is mine.

Our heroes begin the long trek back to the mountain, it takes 6 hours to get back to where they began, after two hours heading back, Kracow begins to sweat and shake, by the time you return to where you started he begns to double over. He looks terrible.

I think by this point Kracow would know to cast a spell before he gets to the sickened condition. He has a few scrolls/wand just for casting on himself. Doesn't the spell remove the previous condition?

Just need to cast a spell on myself. Time seems to slow then speed up up without notice here.

Kracow casts mage armor from his wand to relieve his overpowering desire for the arcane.

Two hours later the party stands at the base of a mountain. There is interstingly enough a road that winds back and forth up the mountain to the mouth of a cave.

Takng the road will take 6 hours to reach the top, 3 hours to the top if you just climb straight up but that will be tiring.

also Kracow will be sick again in two hours time then again 4 hours later-Kracow for some reason on this particular plane you are getting sick twice as fast

We ought to check on that Touch of Glory thing, we shoudl learn what our 'first aid' potential is. I can force it on him, but I won't.

Varin putters around and whips up a meal for the crew using some herbs to help increase stamina and restore energy more quickly. When its time to rest if Kracow will let him he will use his sleep hex on him with kracow willing failing the check...

the herb thing is just flavor it is the sort of thing he would do lol.

Kracow will cast mage armor before he becomes too overwhelmed by his addiction. He has a enough spells for 4 days casting every 4 hours. If I read that post right, is he needing to cast every 2 hours now?

Friends, though I have lived only a short time with this affliction, I do know that only spells affecting me personally can relieve this burning desire.

Not that I wouldn't be grateful for help but I fear I am plagued by a mystical affliction that cannot be cured without serious study into the arcane powers. I hope one day to overcome my physical desires and live on purely magical energies. But that day is not today.

Kracow can sleep some, no need for the hex spell. He just wakens sickened each morning until he get a taste of his sugar.

yes on this plane every 2 hours. i forgot i said doubled and then did not do anything different. duh! so every two hours for now. Let me make up a reason that it has just accelerated

Kracow realizes that there is something about this plane that is changing him further, and the closer he gets to the mountain the more pronounced the change is to him.

those who eat:
it is not the tastiest of meals but when you awake you feel invigorated. For the first 4 hours of the next day add a +1 circumstance bonus to will as you are clear headed.
