DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

No worries! It happens. Always good to have another GM drop by :)

Sara did not have a polymorph mishap and got turned into a ratfolk. It just looks that way :P

'you comlete me' gets a whole different meaning when daling with modrons ;)

Guys, I will be away for the next few days; internet access will be iffy – posting will be limited to evenings (if at all).

I'm waiting on a reply ;)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Ack! My bad. I meant to get to that and I forgot. Rectified now :)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

So. Some thoughts about the future of the game.

While I think we have been having some fun in Sigil, I would like to move beyond simple chores and on to some regular-style adventuring. The Plantar Trade Consortium could be a springboard. Sara and Congrunence will be going in this direction. Anyone who thinks this might work for them is also welcome to do so.

However, this is not the only option. If anyone has another thought or desire, I can and will be happy to oblige. Although I would like to consolidate everyone soon into bigger groups, that can still be two or three discrete groups. Some options to consider:

The Outlands option: Go with the Planar Trading Consortium on a caravan trip to the Outlands. Possibly visit a few of the Portal Towns

The Faction Option: Diplomatic skullduggery among the factions of Sigil. Less sword swinging, more brain work and skill checks.

The Mercenary option: Plunder and adventure lie beyond every portal! The Swordhold district is the place to find employment in an adventuring company.

Just some thoughts. Let me know what you think!

Female Asura-spawn Thiefling Inquisitor of Shelyn | HP 27/27 | AC 18, T 13 FF 14 | Fort +5 | Ref +4 | Wis +6 | Percept +8 | Darkvision | Init +4

I am happily embarking on my planar trading consortium path with the best chore friend ever :)

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

Combination of the three?

I dunno, plundering sounds like Congruence's style... :)

Quote:
Congruence lifts his sword high, and with an amusing attempt at a mean face, lets loose a battle cry, "We must collect masterwork leather armors from our enemies!"

Seriously, however, any of those options would be fun but I am also really enjoying the direction we are going in. Got the best chore friend ever, and it would be great having others along as well!

I agree with Zad, a combination of the three would be good.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I shall keep rolling random encounters and see where that brings us then :)

Dammit Congruence. Have you been reading my pirate romance novels again?

Looking over Sara's shoulder, "We do not understand this text you are reading. Higher quality bodices would avoid problems of frequent ripping."

I would lean towards the Outlands, but I am up for anything. :)

Male Halfling Oracle (Dark Tapestry) 1

I agree that eventually (no rush) it would be good to converge and do one or more of those things, but I'm up for any of them.

Zadkiel, you mentioned visiting someone in the Lower Ward. Who were you thinking of? One of your friends list? Let me know and we can get that going

I’d like us to consolidate as a group somewhat, but happy for that to happen as the story dictates rather than force it too much. On that note, CH, are you happy for Tollard to join the Alyse / Calita group (at least for the moment)? I wanted to bring you in as it appears that Tollard’s previous partner has left the game, but if you preferred to run with Tsun or Zad and Myriana I think they’re all around at the moment.

I’m happy with any or all of the options. I’ve never actually played a Planescape game where the characters being part of a faction was a big part of the story – it could be interesting, on the other hand it could be problematic as I imagine that most of us would end up gravitating towards different factions. I’m not quite sure which faction Alyse would gravitate towards, but most likely the Indeps … who in some ways aren’t really a faction, so probably not the best for a Faction politics type game.

Alyse would probably gravitate towards the mercenary option in some ways, but she won’t necessarily seek it out herself, without a push in that direction – chance, fate or the encouragement of a friend. The Planar Trading Consortium would quite appeal to her as well. Out of character, I’ve found the Outlands a little boring in some previous Planescape games, though that’s probably down to the GMs, who tended to run the Outlands as ‘Prime Material with distance-distortion’. The portal towns would be fun though.

Happy to run with Alyse and Calita. I think that was the idea.

I was thinking of Flamebreaker/Elsbeth

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Just to clarify: I am very pleased with the game as is. I hope you are as well. I want this to be collaborative in nature. If you all are happy with the pace and direction, then we shall continue with the status quo as it is.

If anyone has suggestions or thoughts never be afraid to post them

What are the adoption laws in Sigil? Just asking for a friend...

I'm happy to go with whatever everyone else is. Calita is a "go with the flow" kinda gal, so unless something specifically catches her attention (such as the current Gargoyle dilemma), she's happy to run wherever the adventure takes her.

Eh, I was working, but it was ok. The previous evening I went out for a bit of a birthday dinner and to see a movie - 'Snowden', actually surprisingly good.

Nice! lol... I've only seen kids movies recently. Suicide Squad was the last "adult" one one I saw. I wouldn't mind seeing the new Dan Brown one, Inferno. Finding time, spare cash and someone to go with is the problem.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOTHY!!

Take a free CLW potion for any character you want :) i

Yeah, I mainly only see movies with the kids (if at all) these days too - fortunately my kids (at least my son) likes Marvel movies and Star Wars. I probably couldn't get away with taking him to Suicide Squad though (hence I haven't seen that).

Good eye. You even got the potted plant one.

There is a healthy soupçon of Zaphod Beeblebrox in my rendition of Sly Nye. As well as the Mad Hatter and Coyote.

Lol. I love Congruence's literal mind

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Zadkiel a quick question. You mentioned files you wanted to access when talking to Astoril. What sort of files were you thinking of?

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

Death records from around the time of Aoskar's fall. I'll be kinda circumspect about what I'm after in particular so as not to reveal too much to Astoril, safer for both of us if he doesn't know exactly what I'm searching for. I'm after Aoskarian clergy and if any are floating around as zombies or other undead so I can get some info from a primary source. If they're zombies or other unintelligent undead I'll need to arrange a speak with dead or something, intelligent I'll need to convince them to share. Either way it's the first step in a long road.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Gotcha

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

*Whistles innocently* I'm just over here quietly starting up something complicated and dangerous involving the Factions, the Lady, and a long dead god.

:)

Female Asura-spawn Thiefling Inquisitor of Shelyn | HP 27/27 | AC 18, T 13 FF 14 | Fort +5 | Ref +4 | Wis +6 | Percept +8 | Darkvision | Init +4

Bad teenage descions. whoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

Next step is Veria the Erinyes near the Civic Festhall. After a night of drunken debauchery among the Dustmen (never thought I'd type that) I'll head to arrange a meeting and see about owing a debt to a fiend. Myriana is welcome to come along but Zadkiel will understand if she doesn't want to.

By the Empyreal Lords does Zad swim in dangerous waters.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah, I figured young namer Dustmen would get their Goth on. Despite their somber looks and depressive music I never had a dull time partying at a goth bar..

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

Sadly, I've never had the pleasure. All country music, Tejano, and rock and roll dive bars round here.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Ugh tejano ... The Muzak of Hell

Male Aasimar Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer) 1

My favorite bar is a borderline rock and roll dive (only kept above it by the biker bar down the street) and it sits right next to a tejano bar. Sometimes I like to sit across the street and see who drowns out the other, Seiger usually wins.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

yo Flash....

Cornstarch?

What's next, Tim-tam?

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

lol... Well I was trying to think of a suitably wacky name to go with "the Confabulist", and it just kind of rolled out of my head and off my tongue.

Tim Tam Slam would be a good name for a Brawler though. :p

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

I'll be away on a trip for a couple of days. May not get to post, so just move the story along and bot Calita as needed. :)

female, catfolk rogue (U0 1/sorceress 1 | HP 19/19 | AC 13 (17), FF 10 )14), TAC 13 | CMB +0, CMD 13 | F +3, R +5, W +1 | Low-light vision; Per +3 (+4) | Special Attacks: Sneak Attack 1d6 | Spells: 1st 4/4

Now that I'm getting the character down I'm looking to start working the setting slang into the mix. Is there a place where some of this is recorded? I think I've asked that before but can't for the life of me find it anywhere.
