Sorry! I used yesterday to make the map for the next part. Been working serious overtime. Will try to post something tonight!

![]() |

Whew, that was a long maintenance! Okay, game on! There was a hurricane coming my way, but it degraded to a tropical storm today... I will post the next step.

^_^ Don't blame me! ;) How many failures this bloody roller has given me on the other side of the screen... Just see the Forge of Fury game... XD

Oghren Battlehammer |

sorry about being behind on postings. having an outgoing surgery this morning. I'll see if I can get caught up tonight, if not defiantly tomorrow. plus with site being down so much lately, been kinda forgetting /blush

Bad news, everyone Oghren will have to drop out. I will not be recruiting a replacement yet, as I think that a table of six is still a good quantity.
After the caves, I will be doing another end of session and awarding rewards. As we are starting the new Season 8, I will award the rewards with the new system, as well as discussing how this changes gameplay somewhat.
Anyway, I wish Oghren the best of luck and hope that he can rejoin us someday...

Okay, we are approaching the end of this session. There are some things we need to discuss.
With the new Season upon us, there have been some massive changes to Storm King's Thunder, namely no more rolls on the the magic item tables for treasure, which leaves you out in the lurch for magic in this book.
I am considering running up to four tables of Dragon Heist, and since you all are in tier for the book, I can continue in that book, though I would ask that you all take the slow progression, so that we do not tier out too fast.
Anyway, I wanted to open up discussion before we wrap up, because I can easily direct you guys to Waterdeep... ;)

Greycastle |

Keep in mind either way we go, magic items and the like are now purchased by the individual player using treasure point awards gained through play time. Even if we stuck with this book, it would be the same thing. I will be applying to your Dragon Heist game either way.

Yes. However, unlocks will be very rare in SKT, and be somewhat better in Dragon Heist... AND there will be

Greycastle |

Not yet Dax. Aesh was saying we are getting close and had some things to discuss.
Essentially determining if we want to continue after this section since the new AL rules make this particularl module light on magic items. He was offering us an alternative route leading us into an updated option of Dragon Heist, set in Waterdeep. But we would need to slow our exp rate down for it or we would out level it.
I’m good with either option. I’ve never played through any of SKT, and this could be a fun group to take on Waterdeep with as well. I am flexible.

Okay, so technically you guys are starting a little high level for Dragon Heist. However, as long as you are all still level 4 or lower we can start you in Dragon Heist (but I still have to give rewards for this part which is technically only rated for 2 hours, so technically no level, unless you enough xp to be half-way to level.)
Now, what would I am thinking is I will ramp up the difficulty a little bit, and regulate the awards. As long as you guys do not play outside the book, you cannot tier out.
What do you guys think? Also, Greycastle, since you have the new character idea, would you rather play that character or Snow?

And to just to let you know. I just got picked to play Dragon Heist with another charter. I have no problem playing like I don't know what is going on if we are at the same place as this table. just FYI.

Greycastle |

I wasnt sure if you were going to keep this table the same or not. If we're playing different seasons, my understanding is the adventure is different.
If these characters stay together, I will play Snow so that we are all similar level. If the table breaks up, I may reconsider.

Hopefully it will be a different season! Then you don't need to do too much meta-mitigation...

How close is Snow to levelling?

Greycastle |

How close is Snow to levelling?
Close. Since I’m converting her, she has 1.46 check points. I get to choose round up or down. With the current exp award today, she could be at three advancement points or she could go ahead and level.

Dalron Cleric of Ilmater |

I was thinking I would need to run slow myself in the first part. I am 4th level and with the new exp points he is at 4 points with 4 to go to 5th level.
And the other table looks like is running in 'Fall'

![]() |

Actually, May, you are 3rd. Leveled after Discovering Lady Nandar's death and again after the orcs. ^_^

![]() |

So since Eeerie started fresh in this one, he is lvl 3, with 2 ACP (out of 4 needed to level). In other words, he is half way to 4th.

Greycastle |

So what do you think Aesh? Is Snow too high?
option 1 - on the conversion, she takes 1 check point, making her 4th level with 3/4 checkpoints
option 2 - she takes slow progression as of this award session, making her 4th with 2/4 checkpoints
option 3 - on the conversion, she takes 2 check points, making her 5th level and out leveling the book

![]() |

If you do option 1 or 2, you enter the book. Then you can't level out, unless you play another HC. ^_^ I can always adjust encounters.

![]() |

Throughout tier 1 it only takes 4 ACP to level. Once you are tier 2, it costs 8 to level.
