Mahath won't resist being drawn into the ship.

Deflect 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Deflect 1d20 + 13 - 5 ⇒ (16) + 13 - 5 = 24
Deflect 1d20 + 13 - 10 ⇒ (1) + 13 - 10 = 4

So, one of them is deflected and two of them hit for 16 and 12 damage before he is flung into the ship. That takes him down to 4 hit points and down 1 on the condition track.

Mahath manages to deflect several of the blaster bolts, sending them careening into the walls and floor, but two slip past his defenses and stagger him. Seeing him falter, Quen rushes onto the ship, but pauses on the ramp. Feeling his master's words echo through him, he reaches through the Force toward Mahath. Mahath feels the Force envelop him and he does not resist, as he floats gently onto the ramp as the ship begins to take off.

With Maya and the cargo secure, the rest of you scramble onboard in time to hear the Captain, a human woman, shout toward the cockpit, "Crash! Get us out of here before those blast doors shut!"

A metallic voice rings back through the comm, "Roger roger, Captain. Brace for minor possibility of catastrophic impact followed by meat death." The ship's engines roar as the yacht shoots forward, the ramp barely closed when you get to the end of the bay. The ship suddenly twists in midair, sending the cargo and all of you flying sideways! There is a tortured sound of metal on metal as you scrape through the blast doors, barely exiting as they close! Suddenly the yacht rights itself and you hear the metallic voice again. "Station escaped. Entering hyperspace in 3,2,1."

The yacht's flight calms as the stars stretch outside the viewports. The Captain reappears, smoothing her hair down, with Maya holding onto her shoulder. "Welcome aboard the Banshee! Maya tells me you were instrumental in getting her and the cargo safely off the station. I'm Captain Sirona Okeefe. Our pilot is Crash, a droid of dubious skill. So, let's see what's in the box that nearly got you killed." She moves to the hovering crate and pulls a prybar from a nearby toolbox. Prying open the crate reveals a figure, frozen in carbonite.

"Well. I'll be. Live cargo, eh? Well, I only move them. I don't ask questions. Anyway, our employer would like to meet you, if you're willing. Judging by the lightsaber, I'm guess you might have similar interests. If you're willing, I'll escort you to him when we reach Alderaan in four hours. Until then, you have the run of the yacht. Medbay's up that way, bunks are through there. Refreshers around the corner and kitchen's in there." She points out the various rooms, then nods to Maya and heads toward the cockpit.

Talk amongst yourselves, feel free to roleplay any use of the ship and what have you. I'll resume at Alderaan when you're ready.

He hadn't felt the Force sing that strongly within him in so long but he was still tired. His Master's voice had come to him and helped him to tap into inner reserves he did not know that he had any longer. Seeing Mahath fired at brought back memories of times of pain and sadness that he would not allow to happen again.

Walking up to the injured lightsaber user he knelt down next to him and began to check over his wounds. With tears in his eyes and calling on the Force one more time he attempts to heal his wounds.

After Mahath has been healed at least for the time being, the young padawan staggers to his feet and finds a secluded part of the ship, away from everyone.

Ren watched Quen heal Mahath after taking a few blasters in their escape of the station. He let his Padawan assistant be for now, feeling he needed a moment of alone time himself. He gave Quen a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder as he walked past, but said nothing.

Drawing a hand over his face and sighing, he scooped up Mahath and carried him to the infirmary to recover more comfortably than the floor of the ship. Once in place with some monitoring equipment attached, he'd leave him be with a note, mentioning he might be able to repair his light saber if he was interested. He also took a moment to leave his clinic gear in the Med bay as well, glad to see everything survived intact.

That done, he retired to the lounge, relieved to see it had a small wet bar. Slipping behind the counter, he grabbed a bottle of cherry red liquor and a glass, helping himself to a couple of shots before allowing himself a moment to digest their current situation and what they'll do after their cargo is delivered.

Mahath gasps when the healing energies come from the young Jedi and into his body. My master couldn't even do that... He tries to say "thanks" as the healer turns away, but words fail him and his dry mouth doesn't form the word.

Mahath nods his thanks to the doctor when he's settled into the medical bay. His breathing deepens rhythmically for several seconds before it becomes calm, shallow and peacefully restful.

Mahath will go into a Force Trance to speed his healing. If anyone approaches him to talk, he'll bring himself out of it. But otherwise, he'll stay in the medical bay until he's healed or they arrive at Alderaan.

The star yacht is a well-made ship, obviously designed for a wealthy client, but gone a bit shabby along the way. The only crew are the Captain, Sirona and a droid that looks hobbled together from spare parts. With legs from some sort of bipedal bird looking droid, the arms and torso of a protocol droid and the head of a stock Trade Federation combat droid, it nonetheless seems to function well as a pilot. It gives its designation as RX-13, but answers to "Crash" more often than not. If anyone visits it, it spends the time in a constant low-level series of complaints, mostly about how little appreciation it receives for its many accomplishments, along with regrets over the lack of a proper oil bath facility on the ship.

Sirona, meanwhile, spends her time with Maya, discussing the "mission" and wondering over the identity of the man frozen in carbonite.

Content with his drinks and putting the bottle away with 1/3rd of the liquid gone, he leaves the lounge and starts to wander the ship, feeling a bit better with a buzz coursing through his body. He had to admit, the ship looked rather nice, if tattered in some places. He heard the protocol droid, Crash, muttering to itself as he walked the halls, seeing it go about some task while they were in hyperspace.

Tapping his toolkit in his jacket in thought, he said, "Crash, was it? Would you object to a tune-up and maintennence? If you're the pilot for this ship, I'd feel more comfortable knowing you're performing at your best. And make sure nothing's faulty or looking to go out."

Chel seems a bit non-plussed by the young Quen's incessant chatter as the group made their way to the hangar , occasionally grunting non-commitantly in response.

On arriving at the hangar and the arrival of the troopers soon after, Chel rand with the others for the salvation of the vessel.

When Mahath attacks with his lightsaber, Chel frowns and shakes his head as he runs up the gangplank, looking back as he feels the pull of the Force and seeing young Quen pull the fooling Jedi to safety.

"Damn fool's lucky to have you along, kid." he mutters before turning deeper into the ship.

Flopping down in a chair he watches as the container was opened and the introduction of the captain made. "Seems a lot of trouble to grab a human popsicle. Must be important to you man on Alderaan. Consider my interest piqued."

Rising, Chel helps himself to some food and refreshments, avoiding the liquor that Ren enjoys. He watches Quen's tending of Mahath's injuries with interest, then makes his way to the med bay.

Leaning against the door frame, he watches the man in meditation for a moment before clearin his throat to get Matath's attention "Just a thought, think next time you want to flash that lightsabre around. Right now , Imperial high command is probably getting a priority message that one or more Jedi just escaped on this ship. I'd be surprised if a very intensive search wasn't about to begin. I'll leave you meditate on that. "

Finding a empty bunk, Chel lies down and gets some much needed sleep.

Mahath gives a long, relaxed exhale when Quen returns. He opens his eyes, much more at peace than he's been since the others met him.

"Thank you for saving me back there. I thought I could distract them long enough for everyone else to get away. Since my master was killed, I haven't been able to connect with the Force like I used to. I wasn't even that good when he was alive."

Perhaps then, Mahath Kishion, we can help each other? Like you, since my Master disappeared I haven't been able to touch the Force like I used to. It was so easy when I was a youngling or when Master Rex was around. I reveled in it. I loved helping people. My first Master was killed early in the War. I have to admit that my skills with the lightsaber are not what they should be. Perhaps I can mentor you in the Force and you can help me with my combat skills? I fear that they will be more useful in the coming days. When I heard you ignite your lightsaber and the stormtroopers began to shoot at you, I had a flashback to that day.... he says. He brings out the hilt of his lightsaber and ignites it. With a snap hiss a green blade emerges. I think that the Force has led us to this point and together. he says as he then extinguishes the lightsaber.

As he holsters the hilt he will continue. When I was upset which was a lot during the final days of the war, especially as a novice healer, I experienced a lot of things, mostly bad. That is where I met my current Master, in the hospices and the ERs, Master Rex would take me a side after the long days and we would meditate. I remember those times. Would you like to try?

"Sure." Mahath sits up a little and sees the note the doctor left behind. "Huh. I hadn't dare show the lightsaber to anyone, even when it started acting up. I'll have to take him up on that." Mahath looks a little embarrassed when he says "It was an old practice light saber from the academy. No one else seemed to want it, so my master gave it to me until I was advanced enough to make my own."

If nothing else comes up on the trip, Mahath will continue to rest or work with Quen to pass the time. He'll catch the doctor at some point and take him up on his offer to look at his old, battered lightsaber.

I have never heard of non-Jedi fixing a lightsaber but then again that was never my forte. I spent more time in the library with Master Jocasta Nu. Did you spend a lot of time on Coruscant?

From his satchel he will pull out another cookie and hand it to Mahath and try to guide him through the Quiet the Mind regime.

Quiet the Mind

This regimen trains you to block out distractions and stray thoughts. It requires little more than finding a quiet, secluded spot and slipping into a meditative trance to clear your mind of doubt, questions, fear, and the chaos of the galaxy. Jedi use this technique to open themselves to the flow of the force, allowing them to see distant places and events.

I am going to roll a UTF skill for the FYI of the GM. How you decide to rule is fine. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

I am not sure how you want to handle the fact that Quen has this but Mahath, I don't think does. I am looking for more them sharing the meditation than farseeing but however you want to rule on it I am fine with.

Quen and Mahath meditate together, the Force becoming unified amongst them and around them. Images flash through their heads, mostly random images of life around the galaxy, but suddenly one image forces itself forward.

A great white egg-shaped pod is opening with a hiss and puffs of smoke. As the top rises off the bottom, a nervous Imperial officer waits outside it. "My lord Vader, I have intelligence from a small station orbiting Brenntal. Jedi have been spotted fleeing in a small craft. My informant tells me they had lightsabers and used jedi magic."

There is a moment of silence. The officer looks frightened, as a man clad all in black armor, its surface absorbing the light steps out of the egg-pod. His voice is metallic, but deep and powerful.

"Fetch my ship. I leave immediately."

The vision ends abruptly as a cold chill washes down your backs.

Despite the Doctor's best cajoling, the pilot droid Crash wants nothing to do with his offers of repair or upgrade. In fact, with a squeal of parts that need oiling he gently backs the Doctor out of the cockpit and seals the door.

The rest of the journey is over quickly. Over the comm, Crash's metallic voice sounds, "Roger, roger. We are approaching Alderaan. Prepare for hyperspace exit and approach to planet. Odds of imminent meat death are very slim, but there is always hope."

The ship gives a slight shudder as it exits hyperspace, coming in toward the blue and green gem that is Alderaan. Captain Sirona's voice comes over the comm next. "I have received permission to land at our patron's compound outside Aldera. Make yourselves pretty, folks. It's introduction time."

A few moments later the yacht lands and the doors open with a soft hiss. Waiting at the bottom of the ramp are several discreet looking security officers and a handsome man in blue and silver clothes. He smiles at Maya and Sirona and clasps their hands in his, murmuring words of inquiry. After a few words are exchanged, he looks up at the rest of you.

"Maya tells me you were instrumental in her escape. Please, welcome to Alderaan. I am Senator Bail Organa. You have my thanks for aiding my agents. I wonder if you would accept an invitation to join me and my wife and daughter for dinner in two hours? My men can show you to quarters if you'd like to refresh yourselves. Thanking the esteemed Senator from Aldeeran for his more than gracious hospitality the young padawan quickly goes to find his Master.

Master, on our journey to Aldeeran, myself and Mahath were meditating in the Force. A very strong image came to us. It appears our actions on the space station did not go unnoticed. It appears we have gained the attention of Emperor Palpatine's right hand man, Lord Vader.

Ren was a bit hurt the Droid pushed him out of the cockpit, refusing the tune-up that it sounded like he needed. Giving a shrug, he retired to the lounge to grab some sleep before hey exited hyperspace.

As the ship shuddered and dropped out into space again, the good doctor made himself presentable as per Maya's comment. He should at least look professional. Stepping off the ship with the group, crew and package, he gives a polite nod of his head to Senator Organa. "A pleasure to meet you Senator. I am Ren Corrain, the medical personnel for this unique group of persons. I certainly hope our short stay will not be too obstrusive to you."

With that introduction out of the way, he followed Quen to one side to speak with him about something. He felt his stomach drop into his boots when he heard Vader mentioned. He rarely questioned Quen's Jedi visions, but he couldn't help but mutter, "Are you certain Quen? If your shared vision is true, then we can't stay. We'll have to refuel and leave immediately. You're certain it was Vader?"

He will nod grimly. He will recount his vision. This is what we saw:

"Ichtua Mendak..." Ren swears in Bochee under his breath at the recounting of this shared vision. "Then we have no choice; We can't stay. I'll have you and Mahath discuss this in private with the rest of the group, along with Maya. We can't leave them in the dark, since most of our group is now a very big target for Vader. For now Quen, we'll play along and try to hasilty partake in the Senator's hospitality so as to at least not be rude. A Senator can be a powerful ally. Once the ship is full, we'll take off for some other planet."

At his Padawan's question he gawked at him in disbelief. "Are you mad?! Do you have any idea what kind of panic that would cause? Let's try to keep things low key for now, and leave as soon as we can."

Chel's woken by the transition from hyperspace, he lays in his berth as the ship bumps and thumps its way down into Adleraan's atmosphere.

He then waits with the others for the doors to open then raises an eyebrow when the Senator introduces himself. A Senator...and not one friendly with the new administration...interesting.

"A pleasure, Senator." Chel says formally, executing a short bow to the dignitary.

As the group walks to thier quarters, Chel notes the hushed convesation between Quen and Ren.

When Quen relates his and Mahath's vision, he scowls at the Jedi "I told you this would happen...in case you forgot, you Jedi are an endangered species in this new Empire! And now we've caught the notice of what was the name? Vader? Whatever. We better not be here when the Imperials come hunting."

You are shown to beautiful rooms and each given access to a refresher and clean clothes if you so desire. At dinner time you are shown into, not a formal dining hall as you might expect, but the Senator's private dining room, where a lovely woman sits feeding a baby girl. The girl is currently laughing wildly and flinging what looks like orange paste all over the woman, who smiles tiredly and continues trying to feed her.

The Senator enters, wearing casual clothing now, carrying plates and silverware. "I'd like to thank you formally for helping Maya. She's currently resting, but I wanted a chance to speak with you in a setting that was less... intimidating." He dodges a flung spoon, laughs and retrieves it, wiping it clean on a napkin before handing it back to his wife.

He is interupted by the opening of the door to the kitchen, as a droid brings in a tray filled with food that smells delicious. The food seems to be plain, not fancy, but tastes wonderful. During the meal Bail and his wife chat with you, mainly pleasantries, asking after your families, places of birth, etc. Midway the dinner is interupted by a somewhat staid looking man who enters and kneels before Bail's wife, referring to her as 'Majesty' and asking if she would approve a task force to look into trade talks with the Kosbin Federation. After dinner Bail's wife, Breha, who you now realize is the Queen of Alderaan, leaves to put their baby daughter Leia to bed.

Bail turns to you, looking serious now. “I’ve asked you to join me today because the agents of mine that you rescued seem to think you can be trusted. Since you worked hard to help them, I believe I can put my faith in you as well. I have a task that needs to be completed, but unfortunately my status as a Senator prevents me from taking care of it myself, or even from sending someone directly associated with the Royal Family."

“The planet Felucia was ravaged during the Clone Wars, but once the fighting was over, the Empire set up a permanent facility on the world. Nothing large—just a small garrison where they could keep prisoners out of the way. Some months ago, I was contacted by an Imperial Admiral who was disillusioned with the way the Empire had twisted the once-great Republic, and he began feeding me sensitive information. A little over a week ago, that communication stopped. My agents tell me that the Admiral has been taken to Felucia, where he is being held against his will. I’d like you to learn what has become of him, and rescue him if you can.”

Mahath answers the senator "I would only be concerned if that I am likely being hunted, having revealed my lightsaber during our escape. But a remote planet might just be the best place for me to help. I am certainly willing to take this on."

Whereas Mahath seemed listless and dull on the station and the journey here, the prospect of being able to contribute against the Empire in a meaningful way seems to have restored life and energy in him. His posture is straighter, and the strain showing on his face that made him look a decade older has eased somewhat.

Senator Organa, I thank you first of all for your hospitality. Your kindess is well known to members of the Jedi Order. My former Master, Iediroum Rex also spoke highly of you and your efforts, along with the Senator from my home, Padme Amidala, to try to stop the war and bring peace to the Republic.
This is indeed a most welcome respite. However, I believe I would be remiss if I did not tell you that you and your House may be in danger. On our way here, myself and Mahath Kishion were meditating in the Force as a way to find some sort of calm in the storm. As were were meditating the Force showed us a vision of Lord Vader who was made aware of our actions on the space station. The last thing that the Force showed is is that his ship was to be prepared.

Organa listens closely as you speak of lightsabers and pursuit. "I've taken the liberty of having Captain Okeefe lay several hyperspace trails when she comes here using droid probes. Her droid RX-7 is quite good at them; even if Lord Vader follows the correct trail here, you will be long gone to Felucia and I do not believe he will bother us. Padawan learners I am afraid, friend Chel, far from being knights.

Chel frowns but bites back another cutting remark, only waving his hands in the air.

Entering meeting room, he smiles in delight at the little girls antics, then listens attentively to what the Senator had to say.

Frowning a bit, he asks the Senator "You must put great stock in the opinion of Maya and the captain. If we had been agents of the Empire, you just revealed some compromising information. This Admiral must be important."

The Senator smiles. "I do put great stock in them. Both have served me well and faithfully. The Admiral may hold the information we need to end the Empire's hold and return democracy to the galaxy." He smiles at your enthusiasm. "If you're willing, I will ask Captain Sirona to leave immediately. Unless there's anything else I can answer for you?"

"Senator, can you tell us who that was frozen in carbonite? We did go through a small about of trouble to see them delivered."

The Senator smiles. "Ovin Kanos, another one of my agents. He was spying on the Empire's deep core operations when his cover was blown. He had himself frozen in carbonite and shipped to avoid detection. He's currently recovering and I hope to hear what he has to say soon." The Senator pauses for a moment. "I will, of course, also offer each of you 2,000 credits for the Felucia mission, and if things go well, I will most likely have more work for you after. I am always in need of trustworthy friends of a like mind."

He trusts us, doesn't expect us to survive Felucia, or both.

"I am glad he is recovering."

He pats the small of his back where his lightsaber is concealed. Confirming it is where it is supposed to be, he nods to the others, indicating he is ready to depart.

Ren returns Maharth's nod and speaks up. "I also hope thatOvin makes a speedy recovery. And 2,000 credits would be most helpful to our mission, Senator Bail. Once I'm certain everyone is ready, we will leave for Felucia immediately."

I believe we should be leaving sooner rather than later just in case Lord Vader arrives.

The trip to Felucia takes a day and a half, as Captain Sirona makes several course adjustments and changes to throw off any pursuit. As the blue tunnel of hyperspace fades away and the pinpoints of stars fill the windows of the cockpit, you get a brief glimpse of the planet Felucia hanging just below your ship. Almost instantly your eyes are drawn to the dagger-shaped starship looming ahead of you—an Imperial Star Destroyer.

“Hold on,” Captain Okeefe says, “We’re in for a bumpy ride.” With that, the captain slams the control stick forward, sending the ship tumbling rapidly into the atmosphere of the planet. As the Banshee passes through the thin cloud layer, you get a good look at the fungal swamps and jungles of Felucia, where towering mushrooms reach up into the air like skyscrapers. It would be beautiful if it weren’t rushing up at you so quickly. Eventually, Captain Okeefe pulls the ship out of its dive, a move accompanied by the sounds of metal shearing from somewhere in the rear of the ship. The transport lurches, nearly throwing each of you to the ground, and dips sickeningly down toward the fungal canopy. Another massive bump jostles the ship before the captain brings the vessel to a screeching halt, resting deep within the mushroom jungles.

Crash, the pilot droid, lets out a wheeze of metal. "Once more, Captain, you have failed to achieve meat-bag death. Congratulations!"

The planet buzzes with life, as the Force sensitive among you can attest. It is alive with energy, flowing heavily with the Force. Your first steps onto the soil of Felucia make it clear that this planet is truly alive. Massive mushrooms tower overhead, their overhanging edges creating a canopy that blocks out much of the planet’s sunlight. Every step on Felucian soil turns up insects and other fungi just beneath the surface. The noise of the jungle is loud and alien, full of the sounds of a hundred insects and animals moving through the mushroom swamps, all part of a living and vibrant ecosystem.

Sirona stands on the ramp as you head down. She tosses you a small porta-comp, which displays a rough map of the surrounding area. "The Imperial facility should be about a few klicks that way," She says, pointing toward the horizon. "Watch out for the natives. And the planet. And the Imperials... Well, don't die." She says as the ramp ascends back into the ship.

What now? Navigating the planet requires Survival checks. The map grants a +5 on this check.

"Well, that was interesting." Mahath stretches and assesses the bumps and bruises from the landing. Shrugging them off, he goes down the ramp and breathes in the fresh air.

When Sirona points in the direction of the outpost, Mahath looks that way. Then left. Then right. Then all around.

"Um, this all kind of looks the same to me. Does anyone feel comfortable guiding us there?"

The place was so alive! He had not felt the Force in an area so purely, so reviving, so intoxicating since he was at the Temple as a youngling. Most times when he touched the Force it was during a fight, or in the aftermath of a battle. Feeling so much better than he has in a long time, so happy, he is going to walk off in the direction that was pointed out, whispering, The planet, it sings!
