How do Jaunt Boots work?

Rules Questions

So Jaunt boots are made with jesters Jaunt--which is a teleport spell. They allow you to move 15 feet when taking a five foot step. Do you move using teleport? or fast? or just using stretched legs?

Ie if there is a table or barred gate in the way--can you 15 foot step to the other side? How about 15 foot stepping THROUGH an enemy to get flank? If you can't go through a gate--I would say not an enemy either--both are solid. But if you teleport--you would. and the boots are made with a teleport spell--not a springing and striding spell.

Since the item doesn't ever say it is a teleportation, I would say it is simply the character moving faster during a 5 ft step and has no additional benefits that a normal 5ft step would not have.

Historically, the spell(s) used for item creation has only a marginal connection with the item itself and has no mechanical influence on the item it was used to create. In this case the author likely chose this spell because it has the word "jaunt" in it and involved accelerated movement.
