Also a missive with three names: Haddon Pike, Roweena Kellet, and Corlan. The first two names have been crossed out. The note also contains brief instructions: "Use the supplied dosage on each. When done, return to the apothecary in Port Peril. I can provide more toxin along with your payment if needed. Destroy this after reading." The note is signed simply "Z."
The rope hanging from the roof is 50ft. silken rope with a grappling hook.

"Bring him inside." she tells Noonan and pulls the tengu in herself. Once the door is closed behind she turns to the assassin. "As you killed our bird I guess you'll have to sing." Besmara prompts the guy while playing with the note. "Who is behind that?"

The guy sighs, but obeys. "I've got a contract to eliminate Haddon Pike, Roweena Kellet, and Corlan. My main contact is a Mwangi woman named Zarskia Galembar at the Jasperleaf Apothecary in Port Peril, who gives me my contracts and payments." It is clear from how he spits out Mwangi Woman that he is a racist and doesn't like her. "Asking for 'two pounds of powdered thileu bark' at the apothecary is a code phrase to quickly obtain admittance into a secluded meeting room."
"How about you let me go there first, to get my payment before you go there?"

"One can try." he replies to Estelle, not being comfortable as she looks like she might bite him into the face. "But I'm totally ok with YOUR suggestion" he adds to Noonan. "That's what you get for living in this neighbourhood. My job is only to kill them. I don't even know what for." Lito gets as an answer.

"What? You want to let go an assassin who might hold a grudge?" Besmara asks Noonan.
She collects her daggers. "This is getting tedious. Yet another port to sail to. And all that just to find the next dead spy. Bring the bodies with you. Maybe Sandara can get something out of the tengu. And that guy we feed to the fish."

Estelle backs up as the daggers sink into the body, once Besmara has taken her daggers out, Estelle picks the body up and carries it to the boat.
"This is a lot of runnin' around, we need ta take on some plunder while we go, plus I want to check in on me mum soon too."

So you make your way back to the ship carrying two bodies through town. Sandara makes the tengu talk again getting the information that he was merely a messenger for the spy ring. He knows little about its operations or other members besides Haddon Pike, Elliece Farhaven, or Roweena Kellet, but he receives almost all of his instructions from Zarskia Galembar at the Jasperleaf Apothecary in Port Peril. Asking in addition about Elliece Farhaven you get told, that she helped by taking messages with her on her ship the Diamond Star.
But going after the head of the spy ring you head to Port Peril in search of the Jasperleaf Apothecary.
Diplomacy to ask around about the apothecary.

Lito finds Jessica and explains the situation to her, then he suggests they both go out and try to find info on the Jasperleaf Apothecary.

A few hours later Lito comes back.
Did Jessica beat me back? It took me quite a while to confirm the password the assasin gave us... but I got a different one. His may well get us killed as the owner employees a bunch of ex pirate guards.

Situated at the corner of Fiddler’s Lane and Anchor Way, two streets close to the center of Port Peril, the Jasperleaf Apothecary is a large three-story building among several other shops and businesses. Behind the humble storefront lies the faded grandeur of a decaying manor built a century ago. The first and second floors’ exterior walls are clay brick, and the third floor walls are timber. Stone tiles cover the roof, and the windows are shuttered and nailed shut. The building has one large chimney, which narrows at the top to an opening 1 foot square. The shop’s strong wooden front door is locked.

Estelle moves up to the door, banging on it loudly to get the attention of whoever is inside.
"three jugs of terrap sap"
Estelle then backs up, allowing the others to fan out and get into position as they feel.

Two armed pirates open the door and let you in. This neatly ordered shop has a long counter with a tall stool behind it, and display shelves stocked with containers and jars. Samples of plants, tubers, and roots hang from hooks up on the walls and the scented fragrance of herbs suffuses the store.
You are lead further through a door and a corridor and through another door into another corridor and finally into another room. Two padded reclining chairs and a well-upholstered divan are set around a low table here. To one side, a cabinet holds crystal glasses and wine bottles. The large mantled fireplace set with a bronze fire screen in the corner and the wooden panelling on the walls add to the room’s cozy atmosphere.
One guard stays with you, the other one leaves to fetch Zarskia.

"Are ye not goin' ta offer a lady a drink? Some hosts ye be, I would offer ye some rum if ye were on our ship." Estelle says dryly to the remaining guard.
