Let's get both these ships moored up then we can search the attackers.

Lito quickly uses his wand to revive any of the Kracken's crew that he can.

He then proceeds to command the crews to get the ships moored up, strip the enemy sailors bodies and toss the dead ones into the sea.

Finally he organizes a search of the new ship they just captured.

"That should be enough for now, wait a moment." Sandara suggests. She then collects the crew for some healing at stern after the ones from the other crew are piled at the bow.

Estelle will help with loading up the dead crew and sorting the bodies, Flips will keep an eye out over the waters from the crows nest to watch for any other ships and Owlbear will take any dead Kraken crew back to the Kraken.

"Are we goin' ta be sellin' this boat to cap'n?" Estelle says while dragging a dead body.

Narrator

Searching the bodies of the other crew shows standard equipment:
studded leather, masterwork cutlass, throwing axes (2), basic pirate clothes*, and gold jewelry worth 30 gp.

Knuckles has a box with a repulsive smelling substance in it.

Alchemy DC 15:
bloodroot poison (4 doses)

Perception DC 18:
It's the same stinking stuff he has on his knuckle spikes

Also he has a magical breastplate (+1)
magical spiked gauntlets (+1)
and a magical belt (belt of giant strength +2)

A search of the captains cabin comes up with a magic necklace. It is a platinum chain of miniscule chain links that end in a triangle of platinum fish scales that shimmer like the rainbow. The whole necklace weighs almost nothing such delicate work is it. It's placed on a stand made of ivory that models a neck.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"We'll check if it's worth keeping and decide then." Besmara replies.

Narrator

The fight was over too fast to die for most. Most of the Kraken Crew could be healed by Lito. Just one unlucky gal got her head almost chopped of her neck. There Lito came to late to help.

The Thresher is a shackles junk (players guide page 23). It is indeed a worthy pirate ship. Smaller than the Kraken, but armed to the teeth: 10 light ballistae - five on each side - and a catapult at aft. Other features are a narrow hull, rapid deploy sails and silk sails.

The agile ship can be operated with a crew of 10. The whole ship is made out of dark wood, and the sails are black.

What do you all think?

Lito casts detect magic and starts to gather all the items that are unidentifiend and magic together.
Chay, can you look at this stuff? he calls out as he gets the items together.

Sure thing Sir.

Chay runs and gets some wine and and pulls out one of Pucks freathers from his pouch. Then with a twist of his ring and a stir of his wine he starts looking at the collected items:

He starts to call out to the officers what he finds.

From the Captain:

From ship
Spellcraft + Identify (Neclace): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Alchemy on box: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

Oh and that is blood root poision he says pointing at the box.

Narrator

The items are
a amulet of natural armor (+2),
a headband of alluring charisma +2,
a Svingli’s Eye, a magical astrolabe giving the double bonus. Once per day, the user can make a DC 20 Perception check while using Svingli’s Eye as a move action to catch a glimpse of how things really are for 1 round, as if with a true seeing spell. While using the astrolabe’s true seeing ability, the user can also see through concealment caused by smoke or fog and gains a +10 competence bonus on Perception checks to spot hidden or disguised creatures or objects.

a wand of stinking cloud with 13 charges.
a necklace of the mermaid. It is a command activated item with the command given mentally. The scales of the necklace spread over the wearers body covering the breasts, narrowing to a four inch wide area as it runs over the belly and covering all of the lower body. The legs and feet are transformed into a fishtail. This grants the wearer a swim speed of 30 feet, or if the user has already a swim speed it adds to that. Water breathing is not included.

Chay stands there turning the belt of giant strength over in his hands.

You know, I think I could make these kind of things given the right materials. I recently figured out the Bulls strength the strength spell and I know I have seen scrolls of other enhancement type spells before.

Would that kind of thing help?

He looks up at the officers around him.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"On what is that strength added. Because Fishguts looks like he could use an extra strong belt to make sure his belly doesn't break free." Besmara jokes.

"Hey!" the complaint comes from far behind on the Kraken.

Chay hands the belt to Besmata.

Try it on Captain, you'll see. . He says totally missing the joke.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

Besmara tries on the belt. Her muscles bulge making her clothes suddenly a tight fit in danger of the seams torn apeart. Besmara looks at that with disbelief. "I think that is more the look of Noonan." She takes the belt off again. "Bulls strength you say? Don't you have something more cat like?" she asks handing the belt on to Estelle for her to try.

Cat like, swift and graceful... yes I could do that on a belt. Remind me next time we are near some wizards or s large town, I can pick up the spell and make one for you.

Narrator

Further search in the captains cabin turns up a couple of scrolls with unreadable writings.
Just make up which ones. 6 levels of spells, none higher than 4th.

In the storemaster's room is some more equipment. All piled up in a corner of the room like carelessly thrown away waste. A belt with a large buckle depicting a bear. A pistol with powder-horn and bullets. A half plate. A mwk breast plate. Several leather armors. Two spell component pouches. Numerous blades of all kinds including a large masterwork bastard sword and a greatsword that is so sharp that you're cut just by looking at it.

There is also the tidy and well sorted part of the armory where numerous studded leather armors, cutlasses and the other stuff the crew was equipped with is stored.

"It was found with this stand, wasn't it. Being able to swim is a useful ability for all of us!" She fishes the necklace from its stand with two fingers and holds it up. "It could be handed out on basis of who needs it most in a given situation."

And currently she thinks just the looks of this marvellous piece of art belongs at the neck of a beautiful girl like she is. She puts it on. In her mind forms the image of a mermaid and reaching out at the image in her head activates the item.

The scales start to spread over her body, absorbing her clothes and boots. It is indeed a marvellous sight. But with her legs and feet transformed into a fish tail she immediately faces a problem. You can't stand on that. And so she awkwardly falls on her behind. She lies there on deck flapping with the tail like a fish thrown on dry land.

The image in her head changes to one with legs and tapping it she transforms back to her original form. Great, just great. Magic to make me look like an idiot. And even if I do this in water I'm turning myself more or less into every seaman's wet dream. She gets up, takes off the necklace and hands it to Trytton. "Or maybe not. Here take it."

Lito looks over the belt and Greatsword.

Spellcraft belt: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Spellcraft Greatsword: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

I'm not quite sure on the belt, but the Greatsword is your basic magic to make things easier to hit and to do more damage.

Chay! Get over here! Can you tell what this belt is?

Chey waves his hand and looks at the belt:

Spellcraft belt: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Yes Sir, that is much like the other belt. But it makes you healthier rather then stronger. Nice belt there, I think just about anyone would want that one. Too bad you can't wear two at once... But I wonder if you can create a belt that does two things...

Chay absently plays with the scroll they found while he thinks.

You know what, I bet you could... but it would be pretty expensive. Maybe I should start with just one aspect at a time....

He wanders away muttering to himself about how a belt could be made.
