Thank you Sir. I have a lot of work to do tonight.

Chay heads back down to his workshop and noises are heard late into the night.

The next morning a very hagard looking Chay comes on deck and knocks hesitantly on the Captain's door.

As soon as she answers he says:
Captain, It took me all night but I think I figured it out. I've got a couple magic spells that will give you 20 hours of the ability to breath water. You can split those hours up across as many people as you want. So 20 people for one hour, or 4 people for 5 hours each.

In addition, I can make 4 people swim like a fish for the first few minutes. After that you are going to have to swim normally. I just couldn't come up with anything else to help you here. But, I did manage to figure out a trick to bottle a short version of the swimming spell.
He pulls out four sealed flasks with sea green liquid inside.
I had to borrow some money from Mr. Lito to make these, but I think you will appreciate this. It will only last a minute or so, but whoever goes down there can take this with them and drink this when they really need it.

Oh, and I think I figured out the trick to making your daggers hit harder and more often. But I'm too tired to do that now. It will take significant gold to enchant them, but if you give me a couple days and the right materials, I can make them work better for you.

I think that's what you wanted right?
He seems a little nervous given the reaction she had yesterday.

Estelle will nurse some of her still stinging wounds, also checking on the repairs to the ship to make sure everything is holding.

Craft ship: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17

"Has anyone seen Trytton?" Estelle will ask of the crew once she has finished her rounds.

Female Human Cleric of Besmara (3)

"He jumped over board. Haven't seen him since." Sandara replies.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"Hey, great job!" Besmara calls out and pats Chay on his back. Though she wonders if she is too nice as a captain if a more demanding demeanour gets things done.

"Stay here, I'll get the others and then we talk strategy together." She walks over the ship and informs all her officers about the meeting. Not seeing Trytton anywhere she tries that new approach on him too.

"Hey Trytton, get your ass into my cabin. Time for dabbling in the water is over!" she shouts over the sea hoping he will hear it.

After a moment Trytton sticks his head over the railing. He looks rather dour but not as irritated as he was the day before. He climbs aboard and moves over to where the rest are.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

As finally all officers are in the captains cabin Besmara starts "The sahuagin are a pest, but they are no match for us. We have proven that on many occasions. Now we bring the fight to them. That would normally be an advantage for them, but Chay managed to find a solution to level most of that. Chay would you explain again what we got for that, before we talk tactics?"

"The plan was to deal with this threat for the Rock once and for all. And I wanted to thank whoever is in charge there personally for sending a ship full of pirates to kill us - with a knife through the eye." Besmara replies. "And I don't think that one will do us the favour and come out."

"How did the hiding with invisibility work underwater?" Besmara asks Trytton. "Any chance that we do some scouting before going into this lair?"

"None noticed me, but they weren't looking." Trytton says briefly

Looking around Besmara states "If no one has a better idea, then it's Noonan's approach. Sandara commands the ship and we go in. I'll take the wand with me in case someone gets wounded."

Narrator

The Kraken and the Tresher sail back to the island and the Kraken floats into the cove. Chay gives an explanation and a warning about the expiring of the spell underwater and the dire consequences. After finally casting the spells it goes into the water and down to the cave entrance.

But there is the first obstacle in the way. A swarm of thousands of diminutive jellyfish block the entrance.

Trytton starts concentrating and a strong current begins to flow out of the cave and to the side.
I can do nothing to swarms, except I am hoping Foxy interprets my ability to push stuff with currents of water similair to gust of wind

Narrator

The swarm is taken by surprise and taken along with the current leaving the cave open. But they try to resist and go back making slow progress.

Ive got zip for mindless swarms underwater too. My wand of stinking cloud is useless here.

Narrator

As the group follows through you come into a nondescript tunnel that leads into a cave. Everything is full of water and dark. The tunnel leads upwards into a large cave.

assuming you came up with some light.

There are a dozen sahuagin feeding on a large fish. Which is a bloody mess. You notice that most of them are far from being the warriors you faced so far. There are young and old ones mixed with a few warriors. And as they are preoccupied with their frenzy they notice you when it is already to late.

On first sight the cave has an exit to the right and one to the left in addition to the one you come from. In three places curtains of seaweed hand at the walls.

Narrator

Estelle goes "Blubb, blubb blubb, blub." As everything is still underwater. But the elderly and young flee anyway as she starts kicking one of the warriors.
