Chay Heliot
Thank you Sir. I have a lot of work to do tonight.
Chay heads back down to his workshop and noises are heard late into the night.
The next morning a very hagard looking Chay comes on deck and knocks hesitantly on the Captain's door.
As soon as she answers he says:
Captain, It took me all night but I think I figured it out. I've got a couple magic spells that will give you 20 hours of the ability to breath water. You can split those hours up across as many people as you want. So 20 people for one hour, or 4 people for 5 hours each.
In addition, I can make 4 people swim like a fish for the first few minutes. After that you are going to have to swim normally. I just couldn't come up with anything else to help you here. But, I did manage to figure out a trick to bottle a short version of the swimming spell.
He pulls out four sealed flasks with sea green liquid inside.
I had to borrow some money from Mr. Lito to make these, but I think you will appreciate this. It will only last a minute or so, but whoever goes down there can take this with them and drink this when they really need it.
Oh, and I think I figured out the trick to making your daggers hit harder and more often. But I'm too tired to do that now. It will take significant gold to enchant them, but if you give me a couple days and the right materials, I can make them work better for you.
I think that's what you wanted right?
He seems a little nervous given the reaction she had yesterday.

Estelle will nurse some of her still stinging wounds, also checking on the repairs to the ship to make sure everything is holding.
Craft ship: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
"Has anyone seen Trytton?" Estelle will ask of the crew once she has finished her rounds.
Besmara __
"Hey, great job!" Besmara calls out and pats Chay on his back. Though she wonders if she is too nice as a captain if a more demanding demeanour gets things done.
"Stay here, I'll get the others and then we talk strategy together." She walks over the ship and informs all her officers about the meeting. Not seeing Trytton anywhere she tries that new approach on him too.
"Hey Trytton, get your ass into my cabin. Time for dabbling in the water is over!" she shouts over the sea hoping he will hear it.
Besmara __
As finally all officers are in the captains cabin Besmara starts "The sahuagin are a pest, but they are no match for us. We have proven that on many occasions. Now we bring the fight to them. That would normally be an advantage for them, but Chay managed to find a solution to level most of that. Chay would you explain again what we got for that, before we talk tactics?"
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle will sit down on the floor in the cabin, her back against the bulk head. Estelle nods at Trytton as he comes in, "So we be takin' the fight to them?"
Besmara __
"The plan was to deal with this threat for the Rock once and for all. And I wanted to thank whoever is in charge there personally for sending a ship full of pirates to kill us - with a knife through the eye." Besmara replies. "And I don't think that one will do us the favour and come out."
GM Foxy
The Kraken and the Tresher sail back to the island and the Kraken floats into the cove. Chay gives an explanation and a warning about the expiring of the spell underwater and the dire consequences. After finally casting the spells it goes into the water and down to the cave entrance.
But there is the first obstacle in the way. A swarm of thousands of diminutive jellyfish block the entrance.
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle look around then to Trytton, pointing and shrugging her shoulders.
Lito de'Anora
Lito quickly swims through the gap, motioning for others to come.
Ive got zip for mindless swarms underwater too. My wand of stinking cloud is useless here.
GM Foxy
As the group follows through you come into a nondescript tunnel that leads into a cave. Everything is full of water and dark. The tunnel leads upwards into a large cave.
assuming you came up with some light.
There are a dozen sahuagin feeding on a large fish. Which is a bloody mess. You notice that most of them are far from being the warriors you faced so far. There are young and old ones mixed with a few warriors. And as they are preoccupied with their frenzy they notice you when it is already to late.
On first sight the cave has an exit to the right and one to the left in addition to the one you come from. In three places curtains of seaweed hand at the walls.
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle surfaces, moving for the warriors,
"Ye women and Children flee now, I won't be killin' innocents today." She leads her movements with a kick to the closest warrior.
Kick: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 141d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle will chase off some of the non-combatants, never causing them harm.
Lito de'Anora
We'll make this easy, Lito is carrying a dagger with Chay's offered continual light on it
Lito stays back in the cave and let's the others do their thing, watching to see if any organized resistance starts.
I wonder if I can cast spells under water?
He tries to cast detect magic to help to enhance his observation of the combat and room
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
GM Foxy
Noonan decides to play with his enemies instead of fighting them. He stabs the sahuagin with his spear in one hand and without using much force (no PA). He still manages to wound the guy badly.
@Noonan
Trident: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The sahuagin doesn't return the favour. He is serious.
@Estelle
Trident: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle uses the cave wall to propel herself towards the Sharkman that is attacking her.
Flurry: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 251d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Flurry: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 261d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Flurry: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Board Style Rend + Bleed: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 91d6 ⇒ 2
"Just give up yer boss and we will be leavin' ye alone!"
Lito de'Anora
Lito looks around and begins a water ballet to inspire his allies to clean up the group.
Inspire courage non-verbal round 1/19
While he does this Lito whispers: Besmara can you hear me?. Attempting to test out message.
Lito de'Anora
Just testing if my magic lets us talk. It's short range, but after the fight I'll make sure we can all chat.
Now let's go make some shark fin soup!
Lito pulls out Brine's Sting.
Estelle Numbduster
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Estelle uses the walls to halt her momentum as the giant shark comes into view. She mouths the words "Holy Shit"
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle will move back and guard her body against the large shark.
Total defense +4 AC, -4 to hit, AC 23 right now
