Trytton looks at Estelle askance before holding the saw in one hand and diving over the side. He swims along the bottom of the canal and only swims towards the surface once he is directly below the boat. He begins to saw at the shaft of the rudder, trying not to be too regular with his strokes.

Captain, do you want me to get Chay and have him fog the pirate hunter ship when we try to sail out?

"I guess so. I'll have them on my list. No need for them to have us on theirs." Besmara replies.

The rudder is magically hardened but with the ability to breath under water it is still easily sabotaged. And so Trytton manages within minutes what will take them hours to repair.

Trytton dives back to the depths and makes his way back to the Kraken

The sails are set and the Kraken flies at full speed around the river bend. Chay clouds the Dominator in fog clouds and before the Chelaxian crew can react the Kraken is gone.

Noonan sends Pluck aloft with a vial of alchemist's fire that he drops on the sails before zooming off into the fog.

Someone else wanting to get something out of his system? Like mooning the crew?

Later that day another ship comes into sight. It flies the flag of the Aspis Consortium.

Who is Aspis?

He thinks for s minute and says: If we grab this one we may want to consider keeping this a bit quiet so we don't make an enemy.

"grab and sink? I like that, no witnesses works to my style." Estelle checks her gear and gets ready for a piratin'

"Do you mean this with keeping it quiet?" Besmara asks Lito pointing with her thumb at Estelle.

well possible... We could also kill the crew, and squib the ship or try to sell it and the cargo to someone discrete. It might cost us a bit, but we have less organization hunting us.

"Where are these Aspis guys from?" Besmara asks. She really doesn't like Chelaxians. But besides them she is not very fond of the idea of killing a whole crew.

Hmmm...Kill everyone besides pirating? Not good move. We butchers or thieves?

"We're pirates! No matter who they are, in the Shackles they are prey! Let's hunt them down!" Besmara decides.

"Set course for interception. All hands on deck and to the weapons. Man the siege engines!" she orders.

Please state what you intend to do as we approach. As the actions have no effect on the actions of the other ship just tell what you do at what distance. Next post will be the conclusion when we are in position to enter.

Estelle will ready some boarding pikes and the rope and grappling hooks.

Owlbear will strap on his gear and get ready.

Flipps will load the light ballista and have them manned and ready to fire.

Noonan gets his weapons ready and scowls his trademarked scowl.

Lito sends the cabin girl down below to get Chay then starts to get the starboard watch armed and arranged for the assult.

As no one does siege weapons.

There are a few shots from catapults exchanged. But nothing of consequence. On board of the Kurstav they are almost short handed and faced with over 60 pirates they give up as soon as the Kraken is alongside.

It turns out to be an easy raid for two plunder consisting of weapons and armor.
Your choice if you sell it as plunder or take it apart into equipment for the crew.

"Have a nice trip home." Besmara tells them good bye and lets them go unharmed.

Lito, did you buy some stuff for your wife? She needs a few things and I need a reason for you to go back ;)

Flipps did the Balista and has siege weapons

Estelle was itching for a fight, since there wasn't one she goes to spar with Owlbear.

"I thought ye didn't wan ta leave survivors cap'n." Estelle asks before she leaves

"You're into killing seamen that gave up on first contact? Me not. Besmara replies.

Rip and tear those who need to be rip and tear'd. Others can go home

We should consider bringing this stuff back To The Rock. They could probably use this to restock the keep as well as needing the supplies we picked up.

"I didn't say to kill em, I just thought you wanted it to be quite like. Now they will be reportin' back to their superiors, more will be out looking for us."

Estelle moves closer to Besmara, body relaxed.

"Killing all was on the table as an option. But I didn't like it. And even though they are an influential organization - the worst that could happen is them to send the Chelaxians after us. And I guess them we pissed off already." Besmara shrugs. "And after Lito boasts about us tricking the Dominator in every port there soon will be posters with our pictures and big rewards offered anyway."

With Lito's suggestion the Kraken sets course for Tidewater Rock. On the way there no worthy target for pirate actions appears and so you reach the rock without further interruptions.

On top of the tower stands Lady Smythee looking forward to the return of her husband.

You know I don't have to boast about the dominator. Unless you want to become that well known.

"I'm a pirate captain of the Shackles. We're no match yet for the Dominator but eventually that ship will be mine. The world can know that they are already not able to stop me." Besmara boasts.

Estelle will back away from the cap'n happy with the answer, going to seek out OwlBear for some sparing.

at the rock

"Lito who be in charge o' the defense's here? Seems like the be needin' some trainin'. If when them fishmen attacked is any showin' o' what they can be doin'"

Estelle will take her mum on to the Rock and show her around as well.

Besmara visits Chay. "Heyo pal. What progress are you makin' on me daggers?"

Ya, get some ballista for the castle here. Drive off fishmen

"How about a pet megalodon?" Besmara suggests.

Get attack bears.

I'm waiting for Lito to write something, as he has the closest connections to the lady.

Sorry captain, I looked at them, but I just don't have the magical experience to upgrade them yet. I'm trying to learn it but I'm not there yet.

Is there something else you want me to be working on, or should I keep working on these Balista bolts for Mr. Tibbs?

He indicates the servicable Balista bolts he is working on.

Craft Magic Arms and Armor needs level 5 so he can't take it yet.

Estela, I believe that would be Guard Captain Royster. Do try to go easy on them, remember they are our allies here. We want a friendly port to sail back to.

When they arrive in port: Lito gathers those off duty crew who want shore leave, some of the most needed supplies, as well as the remaining gold they had set aside for the rock, and heads to the rock on the first boat. As he nears the shore he waves at the guards and announces:Open the gates, we come bearing the spoils of a successful voyage! That is if the gorgeous mistress of the castle is interested in receiving such things...

Estelle will also try to help Chay out.

"Of course she is." The Lady replies with a happy smile and sends someone to open the door. She waits in the dinner room to meet her husband.

"Drat." Besmara replies and leaves quite frustrated.

Pluck leads his parrot crew to some rest and relaxation on the isle while his human minions dot he boring but needed chores.

Lito heads inside and quickly directs his companions to drop off the supplies they have and asks them to arrange for the rest of the Rock's supplies to be transfered before enjoying their shore leave.

Then he heads up to the dinning room and greats his wife with a kiss.
Good afternoon dear, How have things been while I was gone? Oh and before I forget, I have something for you. He drops the bag of the rest of the 2k coins, that we set aside for the rock, on the table. We bought the supplies you asked for plus this. Hopefully this help tide you all over for a bit to pay salaries and if you need more then the supplies then what we brought.

But enough serious stuff, how have you been?

"Uneventful - if you want to take a positive look at it." Agatha replies.

"Or boring. But As you're back I have hope for immediate betterment." she adds with a smile.

Lito takes Agasta's hand an kisses it.

Then he says with a mischievous smile:
oh, I think entertainment can be found. What would you be looking for, stories, drinking and dancing, something more intimate, or should I just ask the captain to let the crew loose? I'm sure when the crew and your guardsmen and women mix there would be plenty of excitement to clean up over the next few days...

"In that order please. Just without letting the crew loose." she replies with a smile.

"Lets pay a visit to the Lady. And hear what news they have about these shark men." Besmara takes all the officers with her to the tower.
