Estelle will enter just after the speech, dripping in sea water clothes clinging to her.

"Welp yer ship ain't goin' ta be easy to sail, rudder is dun and gone, I cannot repair er from in the open ocean. Shark and other nasites and I don't want ta hold me breath that long."

After that Estelle will grab a plate and something to drink then sit down and start to eat.

"Ye could rebuild it on deck and have Trytton put it in place. Or if that's to hard for him to do there is this nice potion of water breathing Captain Runescar had with her." Besmara suggests.

She indulges on the fantastic meal Trytton and Fishguts prepared.

Weee! long work day

Noonan sways back and forth while Pluck swoops around the new boat that is part of his fleet.

How close are we to a sheltered cove?
Captain Runescar may prefer that we drop her off there to have her crew repaid the ship themselves. That way her crew do be rid of us faster, and there do be less chance for someone to do something stupid.

By the way, besides the weapons, what was the ship hauling that we took? Also Runescar?

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"I'm fine with whatever Captain Runescar chooses." Besara tells between two bites of the delicios food.

Narrator

"I would need to check my maps for that. But how shall we get there without a rudder? And the rest of the damage is neglectable." Captain Runescar replies. "If you haven't robbed our carpenter of her tools we could repair that ourselves. But it would help a lot if you let her and one of the crew out of the hold to start with the work already. I don't want to be the sitting duck for the next freebooter once you're gone."

Estelle looks up from her meal, finishing off her drink then approaching the table with the captains.

"I be going with yer carpenter and help em' out. I be the Carpenter o' this boat sos I can be helping."

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"That's a good idea." Besmara agrees.

Narrator

Estelle goes and finds the carpenter of the other crew fixing the rudder. Trytton does some inventory to see what they got. Pluck flies around insulting the crew of the Truewind.

As everything is done Captain Runescar is put back on her ship together with the first mate. Even though it could be a lot harder for the crew no one is really happy about the situation on the Truewind.

The knots are untied and sails are set on the Kraken to sail into the night. From the distance you can see that the Truewind sets sail too after a while and also a new course.

Narrator

After sailing for an hour or so a ship suddenly comes into view, sailing across the setting sun. The glaring light behind it makes the details of the ship difficult to make out, but its lines suggest a whaler riding low in the water. As the last light of day disappears below the horizon, the distant ship also drops from sight in the gloom of twilight.

Estelle and Trytton, are you two going to assign out the better armor and weapons to the crew?

Also I think we got somewhat lucky on the last raid, do we want to decide on some tactics before the next raid so we make sure none of our crew dies?

Estelle give him a grin and a light punch to the arm.

"I agree with Trytton, in the mornin' fer the gear. Ye also be right Lito, I shouldnta jumped ove' like that. What do ye two say to me just trying to knock em out instead of killin' em? Also in talking to Owlbear apparently he be good with the heavy armor, knows how ta use it on a ship. Maybe we should be getting something 'eavy for him?"

"Jarrus, set course for the next port." Besmara orders. "We have loot to sell and stuff to buy."

Narrator

The night passes uneventful and the next day the Kraken steers towards one of those small specks on the map. It is no real port and the Kraken can not land at the pier.

It looks like two dozen huts in the middle of nowhere.

Lito will lead a small party in shore for a half day to trade with the townsfolk, hear their news and recruit any people who seem willing, able and reasonably computer to join the crew.

Diplomacy to recruit: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24

If he gets the opertunity he'll also entertain the townsfolk with amazing stories of Captain Besmara and her amazing crew.
Oratory to boost reputation: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

I assume there will be no roleplay here, but if you want to expand this feel free.

As it is clear that this is no merchant ship and by the look of it probably pirates the village's defenders await the landing crew together with some guard dogs.

It's eight people armed with spears and four watchdogs. As the landing boat comes close to the shore the spokesman shouts "You're not welcome here. Turn around and no one gets hurt."

I'd like to have Lito's answer to that as he prepared the tour so he knows what he took with him for trading.

Besides the minor things that my companions mentioned we also brought a sample of some manufactured items that ye maybe interested in. Hinges, locks, nails and such.

Things we figured you might need to restock. Obviously I only have a sample with us, depending on what you trade I could get more of these kind of items.
If that is you have something for trade.

It probably is not worth raiding them. But that doesn't mean I can't do other things...

We need to mark down this flyspeck on the map. Both to remind us not to try to trade here but also to remind us how rude they are. I'm thinking we may want to visit some clamaity on them some day..

Too bad we scared away all the tentacled goblins... those would have been fun to sick on the village for being so rude.

Narrator

Sails and a course are set and the Kraken is underway. As it is some time until Quent is reached if gets evening again. A thick bank of fog rolls in with the evening, reducing visibility to only a few yards and navigation to guesswork.

From the gloom comes the dull clanking of a rusted ship’s bell somewhere nearby, echoing eerily in the fog. Suddenly, the hulk of a ship looms in the fog off the port bow. Its hull is rotten and stained black with age and rot. Before the mists swallow the ship once more, the ship’s name can momentarily be seen on its worm eaten bow — Deathknell.

Shortly after that the fog vanishes to give way to a star-bright night with no other ship seen anywhere.

The next day around noon the Kraken reaches Quent and anchors at a pier of it's harbour.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

As the ship with the bell appears that close to the Kraken a cold chill runs down Besmara's spine. "Luckily I already wear my brown leather pants." she tells Lito anxiously eying the other ship.

For the rest of the night she orders double watches and does watch duty herself most of the time.
