The abandoned Chelish fort is constructed of 15-foot-high outer stone walls with multiple watchtowers accessible by ladders. These walls join to a giant-sized tower built by the cyclopes as an observation post and communication waypoint between other mountain ranges in their farflung
empire. The original Chelish colonists constructed several wooden buildings within the fort.
New map up top for you to use.
B1. Courtyard.
Beyond the fort's shattered gates stretches a square courtyard, overgrown with weeds and surrounded by multiple buildings, their broken windows looming dark and silent.
B2. Gate Towers.
Several beams have pulled free from the foundations of these stone towers where the main gates shattered, causing the towers to lean precariously. Their only access appears to be the battlements along the connecting walls.
What are you doing now?

Marnir Saltvig |

As they approach the abandoned fort, Marnir stops alongside Niobe. "I'd wager that it wasn't deserted for a happy reason," he muses. "We should get ourselves ready, sort some spells out before we go in there."
Marnir then spends a few moments preparing himself with his magic, his heart and body becoming stronger and his eyes going a pale shade of green-white, before hefting his trusty axe.
I'll cast see invisibility and heroism on myself, then draw my axe.

Marnir Saltvig |

An ominous groan and a puff of dust are all the warning Marnir has before the ruined tower collapses on Jane, burying her under heaps of stone. "S%~@!" he cries out, hanging his axe back on his belt and rushing over. "Quickly, dig her out!" he shouts to the others, coughing and choking on the cloud of dust as he begins to haul chunks of stone out of the way, looking for his crewmate.
Marnir begins to sing as he works, telling the tale of Ulthrac the Great and the feats of strength he performed to prove his right to rule his father's kingdom. The magic of the song spreads to his arms and back, and his allies feel themselves bolstered by it too.
I'll move as close as I can to where I last saw Jane and start moving debris to find Jane. I've assumed we'll need to make Strength checks to dig her out, so I've started my song of strength raging song ability, which gives allies within 60ft a +4 bonus on Strength checks.

Marnir is wiping the dust from his hands when he feels a sharp stab in his side, accompanied by a spreading numbness he's learned to associate with poison. The frantic motion of his pegleg begins, though it's strange to not have the rhythmic echo tapping against a ship's deck boards. "Looks like the last one's slunk off," Marnir says gratefully, keeping a watch over the ethereal spider as it disappears through the fort's wall. "Are we all OK?" he asks, not putting his axe away just in case. His clothing is bloodied and torn but he moves as though he's uninjured.
I'm down 21 HP, so I could do with a bit of attention before we go further in, particularly if there are more of those things around.

Markizio Voralius |

Markizio looked at his ruined shirt, "Well, I'm OK but one of those things bit me."
He showed Kung, "See, right here, right through my new shirt. Damn it!"
He turned to Niobe, "Do you mind looking at the bite mark? It may be poisoned."
-----------
Markizio is down 70/84 hit points so could use some minor healing since there's bound to be more trouble in this abandoned fort...

Niobe Aptos |

Niobe shifts her spear back to one hand and draws her healing wand again, and liberally uses it for Marnir and Markizio.
She also examines Markizio's wound to see if he's poisoned, and apply appropriate treatment if he is.
Heal check: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21
Cure light wounds: Marnir: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cure light wounds: Marnir: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Cure light wounds: Marnir: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Cure light wounds: Marnir: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Cure light wounds: Markizio: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Cure light wounds: Markizio: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cure light wounds: Markizio: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Cure light wounds: Markizio: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Marnir healed 19, Markizio healed 13.
"I'd bet they were trying to bring something tasty back to their lair," says Niobe of the phase spiders. "Maybe phase eggs."

Louisiana Jane |

I think we are still in Combat, so we can't multi heal..
Jane moves into the middle of the group and mixes a quick potion and then drops a pill into it. A cloud of red moves out from the potion, curing everyone in a 10-foot radius for.
CsW: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) + 7 = 16
Frowning a little, "That was an expensive pill... I'll have to learn how to make more."
volatile vaporizer 3rd level... had it for a while and will have to buy another one soon... unless someone can make them, might look into that.

Kungrusdak Nosvunkuk |

"Markizio shirt..." "look better..." "that way." Kung's deep breathing punctuates his remarks as he bends at the waist to catch his breath from the battle. When Niobe is done healing, he straightens up and pokes Markizio through the hole in the shirt. He grins.
But he turns his head to Niobe with some seriousness when she talks about the spiders. "No. No eggs. That our keep. No phasey-wazey spider eggs in keep. Kung never sleep! How we burn out phase eggs?"

GM_DBH |

The phase spider vanishes from sight. The four corpses have nothing on them. You take the time to heal up.
Poison: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Markizio is down 1 con from his failed save at the start of combat. His saves after that ended the poison, but the damage is done.
Again the fort looks quiet and deserted. What are you doing now?

Marnir Saltvig |

Thanks Niobe.
Feeling a little better following Niobe's magic, Marnir looks towards the fort. "I suppose we'll be going in this way then," he says, pointing through the main gateway with his axe. "Keep your eyes open, could be all sorts of squatters in a place like this."
Unless anyone else has any better ideas, I suppose we'll walk into the main courtyard.

Markizio Voralius |

Markizio was not in a good mood, even with Kung's joking. "It's not just the shirt, that bite hurt. I'm still not quite feeling right but let's get this exploration over and then I'll take a nap or something."

Kung follows Marnir, greatsword at the ready, his eyes darting around in a continuous search for spiders appearing from nowhere.

Actually, ability score damage doesn't make any impact until you've taken 2 pts of damage. Ability drain would cause the effect you described, but that can only be cured by a full restoration, not lesser. But you should be pretty much normal now unless you take more CON damage, and you'll be fully healed with a night's rest.
For every 2 points of damage you take to a single ability, apply a –1 penalty to skills and statistics listed with the relevant ability. If the amount of ability damage you have taken equals or exceeds your ability score, you immediately fall unconscious until the damage is less than your ability score. The only exception to this is your Constitution score. If the damage to your Constitution is equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you die. Unless otherwise noted, damage to your ability scores is healed at the rate of 1 per day to each ability score that has been damaged. Ability damage can be healed through the use of spells, such as lesser restoration.
Ability Drain: Ability drain actually reduces the relevant ability score. Modify all skills and statistics related to that ability. This might cause you to lose skill points, hit points, and other bonuses. Ability drain can be healed through the use of spells such as restoration.

But my CON is now 13 instead of 14 so I don't get the +2 hp for every level (I only get a +1 hp/level). Does this only happen with ability drain?

Marnir Saltvig |

One point of ability damage does nothing. Ability damage no longer affects your ability score, it just creates penalties based on the amount of damage. Things only happen with ability damage in multiples of 2 - 1 point of damage is the same as 0, 3 is the same as 2, etc.
As Kung pointed out, your current 1 Con damage has no effect, and will heal automatically overnight.

I knew you recovered them overnight but I thought the loos took effect immediately. I stand correct and Markizio is ready to continue exploring! :)

Louisiana Jane |

So, we were out of combat and I didn’t need to use the pill?

Louisiana Jane |

Then, Jane will drink that potion then.
Looking at the dead spiders. "I wonder if I can get some of their venom." she moves in and tries to get some venom.
Alchemy: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25

GM_DBH |

Jane. I'll need a Heal roll as well DC15. The heal lets you cut the spiders open without damaging the poison glands. Alchemy lets you keep it useful and safely stored.
Once healed you move into the fort.
B1 Courtyard.
Beyond the fort's shattered gates stretches a square courtyard, overgrown with weeds and surrounded by multiple buildings, their broken windows looming dark and silent.
Inside the walls it is even more obvious that the fort was taken by a savage assault.
B2. Gate Towers.
Several beams have pulled free from the foundations of these stone towers where the main gates shattered, causing the towers to lean precariously. Their only access appears to be the battlements along the connecting walls.
You can see many large rocks that have been used to bombard the fort still littering the area around the remains of the gates.
Inside the Fort, lots of buildings to explore. Where are you heading first?
