forgot to confirm, hate posting from my phone.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
The scimitar of force keeps swinging while Cairo waits around for someone to be hurt.
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

My sword has been doing damage, right?
"What? Ho! Hey! Lads and lassies, press the attack! Haha!"
Surrounded by foes, Henry continues to swing his sword at #1.
Mwk Longsword power attack: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 - 2 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 4 = 11
Indiana II does his best to keep swimming in the water (if he needs to. . . he does have a long neck after all).
Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Can't remember the actions associated with swimming in combat but I think treading water is less than standard. If so, Indiana whips his tail around! (probably to no effect, but hey!)
tail power attack: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 1 = 19
damage: 2d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 + 2 = 10

![]() |

It does seem to be affecting it, yes. Also, Swim checks are a part of your turn to determine if you can act and how well you can move. Also, despite the long neck, it is still a medium beasty, so cannot walk below the surface. Unless you are also beneath the surface? Must admit, it is an amusing mental image; a mostly submerged bronto with a fighting gnome atop its exposed head.
Henry swings with his sword, but can't quite reach the beasty in order to hit it.
Indiana's tail swings around, slapping the side of the foe, causing it to jiggly like a jolly man's bowl full of jelly... I mean, belly. No damage.

Fearing he will regret it, Flinders moves into Xenobia's spot, while drawing his shortsword and slashing at the creature.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 2 = 27

Crit Confirm Just Because You Can Wish: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10
Wishful Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

![]() |

Note that shortswords are piercing damage, so unless the DR or negation effect against the bow was specifically against ranged...
Sen will delay for when Flinders retreats to Katana at it!

![]() |

Hey! A mostly submerged bronto with a fighting halfling atop its exposed head! Haha. Yeah, I was only joking about the long neck thing. He'll keep swimming while I sit atop him. And Sen beat me to it about shortswords being piercing (even though they seem like they should be P and S like daggers).

![]() |

Because every picture of a "shortsword" in Pathfinder doesn't look like a piercing weapon at all, do ho ho! I mean, Norgorger's Herald is the absolute WORST. Plus, he has, like 52 dex, but not Weapon Finesse. What?
Though the gladius is the "either-or shortsword that special proficiency list characters aren't proficient with."

The ooze to the north decides to try its luck again with Henry

Constrict: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 1) + 9 = 12
It smacks him solid and grabs him right off Indiana's back and squeezes him in a cold embrace!
The second decides to take on the mount while its partner hugs it out with the halfling. (Almost said gnome again... sorry...)
Slam: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

It barely hits the beast, but it is just unable to initiate a grapple.
Party up!

Henry Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Indy Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Henry and his dino spend the round vomiting into the water around them.
Henry is not looking too great. 11/40 HP. Indy is at 13/26.

More Rules minutia! Apologies, but this is a tight spot we're in, so its every trick in the book at this point. Did it take the -2 from Dex Loss from grappling?

"Oh no!" Cairo quickly moves forward to aid Henry/Indiana who is in trouble. He calls upon the power of Sarenrae to heal the reckless halfling and his dino-buddy.
Excluding Oozes, of course.

Cairo's spiritual weapon continues to gnaw at the ooze's health as Cairo himself invigorates Henry with mystical healing.

The other ooze turns to Sen and slams at him.

But has difficulty finding the motivation to do it well, it seems.
Party up!

Sen will use his Katana 2-handed twice (using a Ki point), then lament not having Quick Draw.

Katana 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Oh noooo, oozes can't be crit, as well as sneak attacked... Sad ninja.

Henry continues to slash at the beast from atop his trusty dino! "What? Hey! Haven't gotten me yet, haha! What?"

Oof ba boof.

![]() |

Not sure. It didn't actually unseat me. Also, grappled doesn't always mean bear hug and/or in the maw of the beast, as most people assume it does. It can mean simply that it has ahold of my arm or leg. It's a pretty loosely defined term but I've never heard about grappling pulling you off your mount (unless it grabbed and pulled I supposed, except that I'm already right next to it).
edit: ninja'd. But for real! Picking on the dino-rider!

![]() |

To be fair, if you grappled him AND his mount, you'd probably be unseating him by virtue of "the closest square."
Also, if you're looking for maximum leg damage, Magical Marketplace (releasing to the public soon) has a Legbreaker property that specifically targets the leg. +2 bonus (bludgeoning melee only), but reduces land speed by 10 for 1d4 rounds (non-stacking, but longest duration applies.) I'm letting all Barbarian know about this power if it is deemed legal, especially if they're Sczarni, do ho ho.

Sen will bravely wait for the far-more armored guy to possibly go in. If Cairo does (or takes some other action precluding entering), Sen will enter (drawing wakazashi as he moves) and cut with the katana.
