DC 10 Perception Check(Same One):
You can hear what sounds like Tobia yelling from the common room, Wow...some man here or should i say goblin whelp? You pull a dagger on an unarmed kid after you insult him and refuse to apologize when confronted. And all this over me asking to see..even offering to pay you to see if you have a harrow deck. How hard would it have been to show it, take my money and then ignore me? Instead you insult a kid and threaten me with a knife.Brave whelpling Brave whelpling! Gax has a bit of a facial tic/twich as he hears the words "harrow deck." Gax then stands and says I'm going to check on his royal rabbit ears. Although Gax's tone is neutral and calm, he's hasty as he leaves the room. He stuffs his hands into his pockets.

For DM:
Gax clutches his Harrow deck within his left hand in the pocket.

Marcus watches the rabble scramble out of the room. Perhaps there is foul work afoot. These adventurers rush quickly to trouble it seems. I will lend my shield if something is wrong. Marcus stands up and quickly grabs his share of the golf from the table and follows the group from the room, stopping at the door and saying Fear not master elf we will speak again shortly Then leaving the room to follow his new companions.

As you walk out into the common room you hear Tobia again, And yet again you aren't man enough to take care of what you started with a child no less. You have to have four others bail you out and you even have a weapon. And then to top it off...you let your cronies attempt to hold the kid while you stab him. Take your insult back, show me your harrow deck, buy my meal, and tell your cronies to fly away like flies to a rotting carcass and maybe you will save face though it is ugly for sure.

You get to the room and see five men surrounding Tobia. One has his dagger out but the rest seem to be trying to get a hold on Tobia.

Tobia:

This was all before they get to the common room, but anything after now, they are there. You were successful with the kick but not the slap. Your turn.

Tobia falls taunting the man (see spoiler:"if not"above). The man looks around in disgust before finally turning and walking away. C'mon, let's get out of here. he says to his companions and walks for the door. As his companions follow, Kharn steps forward with a strange battle cry. The men just look as they walk near him, but the first man gets a strange look in his eye.

Tobia's turn, and would you like to take any AOO's as they leave?

Kharn, your init put you after them, would you like to stick with your action?

Damphir cleric

My action was in the assumption that Tobia was being attacked, and that I would get to act while that was occuring. If this played out like a normal game I would have taken no action. So I guess all they see is me walking into the room saying strange things about formal nightwear to no one in particular while waving a sword around.

Trip is one of the ones that is described as "May be made in place of a melee attack," so it is an okay AOO. And just to clarify, your CMB should normally be a +2, but because of being prone would be a -2 now right? I couldn't read it clearly on your profile, but that's what I extrapolated from your ability scores.

Right because of the size modifier. In that case . . .

As the men leave Tobia tries to trip the one with the dagger, but is not able to move fast enough from where he lies on the ground. The man just picks up his pace and moves faster.

Unless you want to chase him down, it's over. Now what are you all doing?

Peanut butter fish sticks.
*pausing for a moment, and after noticing Tobia on the ground.*

Such a good king. Always looking out for your people. Gax turns and begins to walk back towards the room where they left Henneska.

Male Gully Dwarf Rogue

Hey Henneska,
isn't it interesting that people hear a noise and have to go investigate. I figure it the noise wants to be found out it will come find me. Do you like my buckle? Don't worry about tobia he is really a neat guy and he has a Yak that he said I will get to ride soon. Do you think we will be able to find your family? I looked for mine but they were not smart enough to return to the cave. Don't worry Smupop will protect them and lead us to them.

Damphir cleric

*I return to the room we were in.*

As you return, you find Henneska chuckling softly to himself while Bullpup let's forth a continuous stream of words. Your friend here has been telling me about . . . Well, everything, while you were gone. Is he always so talkative?

Nah sometimes he's even worse. Still he is kinda like that fungus that grows in the shadowlands...it takes a while but eventually it grows on ya.

That imagery is... uh... pleasant. Maybe we ca move on. Henneska was about to tell us how he thinks we should start hunting for the people who took his family.

Male Human Paladin (Divine Defender)/1

Marcus returns to the room as he sees everyone coming back. It seems our companionship will have no problem finding trouble. Marcus says as he walks back into the room. Can we get down to brass tax? We need a lead, something we can follow so we can begin our quest. Master Heneska, where should we begin?

Male Gully Dwarf Rogue

I like fungus, especially the brown kind that has the slime jelly on it. It is very good to use in cooking. I will have to make dinner some night for you so that you can see what I am talking about.
Bullpup turns to Marcus barely taking time to breath. Brass really isn't as good as copper and gold so why would anyone want to tax with it. They seem to be a little slow in the head to want to tax you in brass. Is that what they do where you come from?

Bullpup turns back to Tobia Do we really get to go to the shadow-lands, will I get to ride your yak by then?

Henske, there is still the matter of payment

I was not in room when it was discussed or given.

Male Tiefling Wizard (Divination: Foresight) 1

The dwarf is your pay master now. said Gax to Tobiaal. So I'd mind comparing him to a fungus if I were you. Henneska, you were trying to get a word in about where we can start?

You were there when it was discussed and tossed on the table, but not when it was divided out. Would you like that statement to stand?

Okay, I have work till five today, I will have Henneska's part later tonight.

Henneska merely nods at Gax's comment about the dwarf being Tobia's paymaster. Then he goes on. Well, the first people I would recommend talking to are the two guards I found unconscious inside my home. They are my personal guards. Go to my house with this note, Henneska sets a piece of paper on the table, and ask for Gerram and Fendsir.

Male Tiefling Wizard (Divination: Foresight) 1

Gax picks up the piece of paper and pockets it without looking at it. How do we get to your house?

Henneska steps to the door and calls the innkeeper. Could you bring a map of Sirathu? Thank you. When Jherrine returns with the map he sets it down on the table and points (G18). I live here. And we are currently here. He moves his finger to point to a large building (E13). For now, if you have nothing else for me, I will go. I still have people I must meet with. And remember, do not let others know what has happened. This town already has too much chaos.
