Nalathi Estrid |

I've completely lost track of what's going on. (All this negotiating isn't Nalathi's forte anyway, heh.) Is what we're doing still related to getting the key thing for that door back in the Crow?

Joanna Whitehall |

Zee, Bri, and Tel are going to the auction.
Arsith and Nalathi are wandering about the city.
Joanna's currently doing what Paladins do.

Briana Kaddren |
@Nalathi - Yes, long story short, this auction business is part of the trail of getting that key we need. However, I'm assuming some part of that is about to redirect us into the Feast of Ravenmoor module too :D
*edit* Hopefully we can get the auction part done with quickly so we can all meet up again; it's been fun but Briana misses the others!

GM Zed |

This is the timeline of events since the night of Lord Fairfax’s murder / attempted robbery – it is a bit complicated as we moved into three separate storylines!!! As soon as the auction is complete, I will interweave everyone back together and we will be at the start of Feast of Ravenmoor…
Auction Day -2
- Everyone starts the day at Mariner’s Rest
- Joanna leaves after revealing her true identity
- Joanna meets Birt and assists him with delivery of Fish to the Gallowed
- Arsith and Nalathi leave after revealing their true identity
- Arsith and Nalathi drink in local hostelry and meet Princess Alabaster
- Teldon, Briana and Ziomarra leave Mariner’s Rest to travel to the Crow
- Teldon and Briana share a meal
- Ziomarra bumps into Arsith and Nalathi at local hostelry (current state of posting)
- Teldon, Briana and Ziomarra travel to the Crow
Auction Day -1
- Joanna visits the Whitehall Trading Offices with Birt (current state of posting)
- Arsith and Nalathi – unknown
- Teldon, Briana and Ziomarra return from the Crow and deliver statue to Aspis Consortium
Auction Day
- Teldon, Briana and Ziomarra attend the Osprey Club for the auction (current state of posting)
In order to help me move things in the right way - could I suggest that in the afternoon of the Auction Day, Joanna, Nalathi and Arsith make their way to the Heidmarch Manor? Feel free to post what you do up to that point (I will close out the story with Joanna, Birt and the Wihitehall employee)… I am guessing the auction shouldn’t take more than a couple of days (I don’t want to rush it too much as this is Teldon’s last chance to shine before dropping out for a while)…
Arsith – I think your character is probably still drunk when they woke up!!! (1) it’s not the day of the auction, (2) she can’t be seen with ‘Pellius’, etc now anyway

Teldon Moore |

I really appreciate you trying to give Teldon one last time to shine... Sadly, this is a very busy weekend so the short version of the auction is probably best just make sure to mention how extraordinarily well Teldon performed ;)

Teldon Moore |

With everyone split up and the auction moving kind of slowly, our momentum is really low right now... Please feel free to move through the rest of the auction as quickly as you want in order to bring the rest of the party back together and get things back on track with feast of Ravenmoor i'm not looking forward to taking this necessary time off any sooner, but IMHO it would be good for the campaign.

GM Zed |

Note that from this evening through until the end of the week, I am taking a family holiday – there is, by all accounts, internet access in the apartment that we are staying in however I am not 100% certain that I will be able to manage daily posting whilst we are away (we shall see but don’t be surprised / alarmed if I make less frequent posts).

Teldon Moore |

I regret my use of "For the briefest of all eternities he basks in her nearness."
I thought the situation merited something a bit more poetic, but I feel like that kind of came across cheesy... sorry.

Teldon Moore |

Hey everyone, we're quickly approaching the point where Teldon would be exiting for a while... doing that well seems like it would be very difficult though, given his budding relationship with Briana and the fact that the Consortium agent in Galduria is expecting him... plus I'm really enjoying this game and don't really want to stop...
Does anyone have any objections to Teldon staying with the party but kind of fading to the background for a while? My post rate would be lower, and there would be more short posts, but I'd try to keep up in combat (or leave instructions for botting)...

GM Zed |

All good from my side, more than happy to have Teldon along for the ride into the wilds...
If anyone has any questions re: the journey up to the Storval Stairs, I can put up a GM post for Lady Heidmarch entertaining you of the evening...that will be your opportunity dor final questions. And then, assuming you are going with Teldon securing a carriage to Sandpoint, I will put up a post heading you out of Magnimar tomorrow...
...oh yeah, and we will totally be rolling some dice soon!!! It's been a little too long since we cracked open the d20's and rolled initiative!!!

Joanna Whitehall |

I do have a question before we get going. How much money do we have as a group, and will there be time for a quick shopping trip before leaving? I'd like to see if I can get some better armor and perhaps a better shield. I'm willing to part with the feather falling ring and give it to someone else if that helps.

GM Zed |

Ziomarra / Teldon - as far as I can see, attempting to learn a scroll and failing just means you have to wait another week... I don't see the scroll being destroyed as part of the process...
Arsith - No problem if you want to rework Arsith into a Forgepriest... If possible, could you do it over the weekend as we are about to move into rolling some dice

Ziomarra Callinovo |

Re: Witches learning sells from scrolls:
Normally, a witch has to teach a spell to her familiar. The sidebar on this states that she burns the scroll and infuses the ashes in a special potion that she feeds to her familiar. On a successful Spellcraft check, the familiar learns the spell; on a failed check, the familiar does not learn the spell, but the scroll is still destroyed. The cartomancer archetype states that a cartomancer can use a scroll to encode it into her spell deck "in a similar method."
I'm totally fine with it if you want to use the wizard rule re: scrolls for Zee! It makes more sense, since she's not brewing the scroll into a potion.

Nalathi Estrid |

Sorry I've been less responsive lately... Just started a new job, like a big-boy career job, so I've had other things on my mind.

Joanna Whitehall |

A late congrats from me as well.

GM Zed |

So, one of the challenges of this journey is that, as it travels via Sandpoint, it is calling into somewhere writ large in Pathfinder folklore... Although I have read the first chapter of Runelords, I've never played nor GM'd it - whereas, I know a few of you have. So, I thought it might be fun for someone who knows Sandpoint a little better than I to take the reins and give you some local colour whilst you stay overnight and seek horses, etc in the morning...
...cue DM Salsa (a.k.a Joanna)...

Ziomarra Callinovo |

And I'm GMing Runelords on the boards as well... Zed: The Sandpoint gazetteer is in the back of Pathfinder #1 or the first appendix of the RotRL Anniversary Edition.

GM Zed |

Ziomarra - I have the anniversary edition, it's the book that really got me hooked onto the idea of the AP's (since Shattered Star, I have only skipped Mummy's Mask and Giantslayer) - it's more that a few of you have 'lived' Sandpoint whereas I've just read it...
It's only a refuelling stop so we won't be here for long... But I'm sure Joanna can inject a little fun!!!

Nalathi Estrid |

Just so you know, I probably won't be able to post until tomorrow evening. Feel free to bot me if necessary.

Joanna Whitehall |

No worries, I figured we'd be here a few days in real-life so that should give everyone a chance to interact with the locals and get some shopping done. I'll try not to drag this out too much so GM Zed doesn't have to put me in the back seat again.

Briana Kaddren |
After a fair amount of thought and a quick discussion with GM Zed, I wanted to note for the record that I've decided to change Briana from an aasimar to a human. My reasoning mainly lies in the fact that (A) I forgot to account for the aging rate for aasimars when I first wrote her backstory, somehow...and (B) aside from speaking in Celestial, it's not really come up in the game or been relevant. Any sort of angst I had in mind for her to have as a result of her heritage can be handled as being a result of being noble-born and weighed down with crippling expectations, instead.
Things that change retroactively aside from losing the racial perks:
+1 Feat (Extra Hex: Fortune)
+3 Skill Points
Charisma drops from 16 to 14
Aside from some adjusting of skill modifiers, I believe the above list should account for everything that's changed and Briana's profile has been adjusted accordingly.
But don't worry Teldon...I dropped a skill rank in Linguistics so we can still have our conversations in Celestial, hehe.

Ziomarra Callinovo |

In the IRL Runelords game I ran a few years ago, the town commissioned marble statues of the five Heroes of Sandpoint, and erected a monument to them in the Marketplace. The players loved it!

Ziomarra Callinovo |

Sorry for going dark. I'm dealing with some family issues right now, and it may be a few more days before I'll have the time and mental energy to post.
GMs Zed and Salsa: Please bot Zee as needed.

DM-Salsa |

Woot! That is good news!
Since GM Zed wants to get things going again tomorrow, I'm going to have to cut out something I had planned and just skip to the next day.
Unless of course The Zed wants me to go ahead with it. :D

Nalathi Estrid |

Anybody know why Wayfinder would rather crash than display this campaign? It's super annoying.

Ziomarra Callinovo |

Wayfinder is that Android app for PbPs on these boards, right? I don't own any Android devices and have never used it.
On a completely unrelated note...
He was "Ven Vindler" in my home game. This was because I misread the character's name in the book. The misread was probably because I had a real-world childhood friend named "Ken Vindler."

Nalathi Estrid |

Didn't know it was Android only, but yea it's a posting app. Costs a dollar, and that's about what it's worth. But it does save a lot of time by autofilling the most common tags for you-- italics, ooc, "speech" which is bold + quotation marks, and dice rolling. Plus it automatically posts as who you used last in each thread, which is nice.

DM-Salsa |

Oops, I guess I was right the first time when I wrote this.
Oh well, it's just a typo, and it sounds the same either way when I say it. I just hope you guys enjoy this little interlude.
