This will be the Shackled City adventure path using the Pathfinder rule set. However, the existing deities (i.e. St. Cuthbert, Pelor, Wee Jas) will not be converted to similar Golarion gods.

Three of the chainmail clad humans descend on Toffitt. They slash their longswords awkwardly and appear to have had their own version of Drink down the Lake this morning. "Get out of my way!" "You get out of my way!"

The Doctor becomes silent as the thugs circle about him. The predator in him becomes quite evident as he scrutinizes each of them. He lashes out at one (L16) before moving to circle around them (leaving himself open to their attacks).

Glimmil and Cog, reunited again, charge forward to assist the doctor.

Glimmil presumably invokes the AoO, but Cog will try to avoid it (not sure how it works when mounted!)

Argh! I posted a solution to all this before leaving for the martial arts tournament and it appears to have been eaten. I'll resolve everything after the team dinner. Sorry for the confusion of turning Dyant into J15.

I'm resolving to the best outcome for the party. Please don't edit too much. Toffitt add a d6 for the sneak.

Finneas moves up to protect Dyrant, but his swing bounces off the chainmail. Cog & Glimmil rush forward and push back a chainmail man, creating an opening for Toffitt. The doctor easily eludes the attacks of the four fighters as he makes his way to the flank with Finneas. With the flank, the fighter is just distracted enough that Toffitt is able to strike flesh instead of armor.

Finneas chops through the chainmail of the man in front of him (CH4), but he still stands long enough that Glimmil must also turn on him. With the benefit of Dyran't hex, Glimmil is able to bring down the first of the men in chainmail. Toffit turns to the next man (CH3) and cuts him. Dyrant steps foward and lays his hand on the chainmail of the nearest man (CH1). The hair of everyone stands on end as the metal sparkles and the air crackles, but the man still stands.

Finneas lops the head off the man in studded leather. Glimmil misses, but Cog bites a man in chainmail and takes him down. Toffitt moves past some swings and cuts another man viciously, but he remains standing. Atol cheers on the group as Dyrant plugs one with a bolt.

The one Dyrant shot steps towards him, but then turns on Glimmil. He misses, but the last standing man in chainmail manages to cut into Glimmil's flesh again. The man on the ground stabs up at Glimmil, but passes out from the effort.

After about 4 whacks, Dyrant is winded and takes a break to cast Detect Magic on the all the goons.

What a bunch of jerks.

After a quick loot of the bodies, Dyrant will look around the area and explore the two rooms to either side of the front door.

Dyrant will also check to make the Blessing of St. Cuthbert is still in effect on Finneas and recall his Shocking Grasp with the PoP1.

Sigh. Apparently Glimmil doesn't want to be healed.

Let's see a third and last hit for -3HP then +5 and +6 from two of Atol's Cure spells brings Glimmil to 37/42HP.

For good measure, Glimmil will lay hands on himself to take a crack at full HP.

Cog: 28/28HP

Glimmil rubs Cog again behind the ears, thanking him for his expert maneuvering and yet again putting his life at risk. Glimmil then nods his understanding about the staying power of Finneas' potion and begins to look for stairs downward behind doors or in a kitchen area.


Aside from the one Finneas beheaded, all the others can be stabilized. It appears the kitchen is on the opposite side of the building and could be reached going either direction or through the courtyard. You entered through a window of the more formal banquet hall and now are in the common room.

The chainmail men have chainmail, masterwork large steel shields, and masterwork longswords.

The studded leather men have studded leather, masterwork rapiers, shortbows.

The men in chainmail look rough and are likely from outside the city. The two in studded leather look like city folk. All six men are wearing red sashes.

Satisfied for having laid down some vicious beats, Dyrant will stow his cudgel and re-load his crossbow.
