I believe Glimmil should at least have a couple minutes of his Fly potion left... while under the duration of the spell, he'll remain Cog-less, strapping his lance to his mount.

Glimmil immediately leaps from his feet, hopping into the next room with a giant leap as if Oerth's gravity suddenly cared less about keeping the gnome as one it's residents.

"Looks clear in here!"

Glimmil floats to R,12 and readies an action to swing Claw-Whomper at anything hostile, just in case he's wrong.

Toffitt moves into the room (O8) and readies an action to drink an extract of Shield should anything awful pop up.


The party starts into the room when off in the distance the party briefly spies a very large flaming salamander before a 20' high wall of fire appears blocks everyone's view except for Glimmil.

Glimmil or anyone passing the wall:
Also, off in the distance an alluring woman with tiny horns, bat-like wings, and a sinuous tail stares at you with obviously evil intent and an in-progress spell-like ability

Moments after the wall of fire appears, the rubble disappears from the Cathederal. The rest of the room reverts to its former glory and Aralynn exclaims, "The evil is gone!"

As the fiery wall erupts behind Glimmil, he pivots about to ensure the safety of his companions.

"Is everyone alright? It's gotten a little hot in here!"

Kicking himself away from the floor, and continuing to flap his arms despite it providing no additional locomotion, Glimmil ensures everyone is okay as he crests the fiery wall.

"There's a big lizardy-thing and another pretty-woman-with-horns!"

Glimmil uses his momentum to continue upward and through the roof (at R,11) before stopping above the roof outside (somewhere above U-V,10).

The gnome then surveys the roofline for a convenient spot from which to re-enter the building.

Glimmil moves closer, but out of sight around the corner. Dyrant also swoops over the wall of fire, but then out of sight. Finneas moves up next to Atol and casts protection from evil. Toffitt waits for Atol to cast resist energy before he ventures through the wall of fire and hugs a corner.

Seeing the party diving for cover the salamander moves closer to the succubus and then slaps her with his tail, dragging her into the center of the hallway adjacent to him before he releases her. "Pick one my dear."

"I like the flying shiny one. He's cute."

If Glimmil fails the save:
Dominate person. She telepathically tells Glimmil to wait for him behind the statue. If he makes the save the link isn't established so he hears nothing.

The succubus then turns to Dyrant and suggests that he fly outside to the front door and wait there. Dyrant first gets a DC 21 Will save with a +5 since friends are under attack. If he fails, then he gets an opposed CHA check (DC 14) to not follow the suggestion, but even with a save he will still view the succubus as friendly.

The succubus then moves out of sight to the south side of the statue.

"The statue... excellent idea!" Glimmil blurts, to nobody in particular.

Perhaps I can finally try flying up through the ceiling and back down again now that it's back.

Glimmil soars up through the hole in the ceiling, arms stretched out making sound effects as he gains elevation, further amplifying the volume as he makes his descent towards the second hole-in-the-roof towards the statue.

Likely ends around AK,12 45ft up as he begins a descent to wait by the statue. If possible, Glimmil will attempt a loop de loop while aloft.

Unfortunately for Glimmil, Cog is completely oblivious to what is happening, and likely stays near Atol, who smells like food.

Looks like the protection from fire, communal, goes off on Finneas, Toffitt, Cog and Atol - so we each get 20 minutes. It protects up to 20hp.

Atol moves further into the room and casts Protection from Evil on himself. He peers around the corner of the rubble at the opposition. That looks troubling.

He grips his cudgel and waits for Finneas to pass him.

Finneas walks out of the fire, tattered cloak of spider webs smoking slightly as he brushes some ash off his shoulder.

Glimmil falls victim to a third beautiful woman in his life and appears to decide to sit this combat out.

Dyrant also succumbs to the woman's allure, but Araylnn saves him from going too far astray. She'll also advise him that the evil is back. In short, when the rubble disappears, Celestia shifts back and it's no longer the abyss. This only occurs in the Cathederal.

Finneas heads through the wall of flame to see who is causing all the trouble. Atol casts protection from evil on himself before venturing forth past the wall of fire.

Toffitt drinks a potion of invisibility and hovers a bit closer.

The salamander comes around the corner and shouts at Finneas, "I did. What are you going to do about it? You're far too ugly to save for the lady."

Glimmil:
"Drop your hammer and sit atop the statue."

The salamander proceeds to squeeze the life out of Finnneas. "I ask again ugly one. What are you going to do about it?"

The succubus moves (provoking from Toffitt if he wants it).

The succubus begins to move when Toffitt slices her and finds it to be not quite as effective as he hoped. The succubus circles around him and tries to grapple him, but fails miserably.

The Cathederal flickers back to its celestial state and the rubble disappears. If Dyrant was outside, he can't get back in this round without flying all they way to the front door.

"Get your short stack off that statue and go smite that Salamander before I implant you permanently on that statue! I'll stick it right up your saddleback!"

Dyrant is 20' up...and will fly up to 35' feet @ Z11, the angel eyes following him.

Grumbling at the lost rounds of action, Dyrant will channel that anger into a laugh, extending the Favor on Finn.

Should have 2 rounds of extra rolls, Finn. In case that helps somehow.

Finneas laughs and spits the remaining blood from his mouth at the fire worm. Holding his sword in one hand he punches out with the silver spikes on his war gauntlet.

Glimmil sits atop the statue until Araylnn reaches him. Darn Toffitt distracted the succubus so she never saw her.

Dyrant provides some luck to Finneas, but it does him no good as his non-magical gauntlets fail to even scratch the salamander.

Atol heals Finneas's wounds. Combined with the fire resistance, Atol manages to keep him alive for now.

Toffitt only slices the succubus one time and that for only half damage.

The salamander laughs at Finneas and crushes him some more. "Hit me on the other side of the head this time. I've got an itch there."

The succubus gives up on trying grab hold of Toffitt and settles for draining him of hit points instead of whole levels.

Celestia flickers away again and things look grim for the party, but perhaps Glimmil will shake off the domination with his new saving throw and rejoin the battle.
