Teleport you all where? It's an island pretty far away, you can't resolve much in the way of details and you've never been there before.

OK since you didn't bother to specify where you teleported even though I asked (the fact that you couldn't see where was perhaps a hint not to do it without scouting, but I know how well hints work here), I'll just pick the place which amuses me the most.

You teleport onto the beach of the island closest to you. It's pretty much the only beach as the rest is all rocky cliffs.

That means it's the place set up to defend and is manned for it and there are some measure of fortifications.
