Gird Krellion
Gird hears Oomlowt's question, but decides to ignore it. Someone else can help him. Making sure that her sword is in the best possible position (f*cken' mites and their f*cken' short tunnels! Why can't they make 'em eight feet tall like a civilized race?), Gird continues down the tunnel.

Garhan Ghaidos
Garhan is proud of his surprisingly succesfull climb down.
After taking a moment to feel good about himself, Garhan follows Gird down the narrow tunnel.
"Gird..! Wait..! Wait for us..!"
Calanthe feels like it really is her duty to follow after her stupid master student, no matter how horrible it feels for a goat to go into this horrible tunnel underground.
The kobold seems to be troubled.
...
Calanthe musters up all her willpower and fights the urge to just push the kobold down the shaft, because that wouldn't be good team spirit, now, would it?
The goat bleats so the silly humanoids would move out of her way and follows Garhan down the hole.
It's not all that easy for a quadruped.

Calanthe stumbles on a root and manages to catch herself so that she lands semi-gracefully in the tunnel below.
Yeah, She's just that great.
Oomlowt was close behind, trembling slightly as he fumbled over the roots. If only there were some visible ores, those could at least make him feel more at ease!
Nevertheless he makes it down.
Huey looks at his lantern then looks at Woden, before shrugging and heading down himself, lantern affixed to his belt.
Huey Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Yeah, he's just fine, although by this point the tunnel's getting a bit crowded, especially now that Woden has scampered down with an ease that only an elf could muster.
This is going to be interesting.
Oomlowt Schwaa
Oomlowt felt pretty comfortable in the tunnel now that he was on solid ground, though he'd feel more comfortable if there were a few more warm bodies between himself and the rest of it. Still, Gird and Garhan's larger forms were packed in tightly enough to provide an adequate shield.
The kobold knew that enemy territory was fraught with danger, so he tried to keep alert.

Hearing that all her friends made it down okay, Gird turns and brings her finger to her lips, then points to where she heard the noises from. Turning back around, Gird continues to advance, hoping that the 'mites' don't have a good sense of smell, or really anything else that would give her away. Gird is not in the mood to die in a hole.

Garhan is happy to see everyone made it down in one piece. It is getting kinda crowded in here though... But the more the merrier, right? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Garhan follows Gird, keeping quiet, in case he'd pick up any sounds.
Perception check
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Calanthe is getting pretty anxious in this tunnel.
If anyone gets too close, she's sure she's going to bump them with their horns. Seriously. Personal space is important, even for goats.

room, their tops strewn with various tiny tools, metal and
wooden hardware, and blocks of wood.
Two small, blue creatures with large, squinting eyes and big ears scurry about the room, their lumpy faces twisted with glee, One seems to be using a miniature catapult built out of bones and branches to fire caltrops at the other one's open mouth.
As you enter the room, a caltrop sails into one of the mite's mouth and he swallows it, giggling a bit as he does so. Then he turns and shrieks something in Undercommon, and charges at you.
Everyone else can hear a shriek, and probably an expletive.

Not the most profound in melee combat, but seeing no other choice right now, he draws his blade and moves up to Garhan and Gird.
"Well Gird, lets make sure you know how to use that wand of yours, you don't want to burn those nice buns~"...He begins to regret saying this, giving a regrettful facepalm.

Oomlowt shrinked back for a moment, terrified of dying alone in the tunnels. Now he knew how all those creatures he had trapped back home felt. Still... there was a kobold tribe that depended on their success. Oomlowt had let his people down too many times already to do so again now.
Pretending to feel brave, the small lizard man ran up behind Gird and Woden and snuck his crossbow in between them, trying to see his enemies through the crack between his allies mighty legs.
Then his crossbow went off.

Dingetooth Attack Roll: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
Dingetooth Damage Roll: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 Counts as a 1.
Uurch Attack Roll: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Uurch Damage Roll: 1
Burning Hands Damage Roll: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
19 Uurch: The mite in the back of the room leaps on the strange little catapult, launching a caltrop in Gird's direction, although it lands a foot or so short. The creature groans something in Undercommon.
15 Dingetooth: Meanwhile, its comrade scurries forward and sinks its small knife into Gird's thigh, dealing 1 point of damage! The mite's unimaginably ugly face scrunches into something sort of like a smile, maybe?
9 Garhan: You awkwardly cranes your neck, knife sort of brandished in a gap between the entrance and Gird. You really hope the mites can see it, and are maybe scared by your frightening display.
7 Woden: You move up behind Garhan, carefully drawing your elven blade, as well as giving a maybe not so wise piece of advice to the Half-Orc in front of you.
6 Gird: You whip out the wand, and wave it at the creature dancing gleefully in front of you, setting half of the small room in front of you ablaze for a second or so. The brief exposure was long enough to kill the small creature in front of you, and its blackened flesh sizzles in the dark, as do the remains of its eyes, as they exploded from the heat.
Wait, what did Woden say to you again?
5 Oomlowt: You manage to squeeze past the legs of your allies, thanks to your small size, and ready your crossbow. The crossbow seemed much readier than you, though, and you accidentally fire a bolt between Gird's legs and towards the stunned creature behind the small catapult. You miss its ears by inches, and your bolt lodges itself firmly in the dirt on the opposite side of the room.
You realize that it's really nice to be out of the sun and able to use your Kobold vision to its fullest, although that fireball was a little bright for you.
4 Huey: GMNPC You kind of awkwardly hold a lantern in the back, casting plenty of light to see in the tunnel, although the rooms beyond you're not so sure about. Whatever, you're sure those other guys can handle themselves, and its one less thing you have to do. You sort of lean on the cave wall, and silently curse its height and how it forces you to awkwardly squat. It's throwing off your groove.
Garhan Ghaidos
Garhan watches in awe as Gird's wand does something pretty darn nasty.
He is so very glad he is behind Gird and not in front of her.
Though that brings us Garhan's problem of still being crouched behind Gird and not being able to really do anything...
Garhan considers changing his battle plan and switching the dagger to his sling, but it's awfully cramped in here, so it doesn't really sound like a good idea.
Garhan just... Decides to hang around and silently hopes that Gird would move.

Smiling evilly, Gird heads for the other mite, drawing her sword and attempting to rend it apart. Unfortunately, this is made rather difficult by the small space and short ceilings, so her swing is pretty f*cking awkward. As she's swinging, Woden's words register in her ears. Turning her head, she attempts to single out the elf in the gloom.
"What. Did. You. Just. Say. To. ME?!?!?!?" Gird snarls. Someone is going to die today, and it might not be this mite...

ROUND 2
Uurch Attack Roll: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
Uurch Damage Roll: 1
19 Uurch: The mite in the back reloads the miniature catapult and fires another caltrop, this one beaming Grid right in the temple dealing 1 point of damage! The fey's cruel smile slowly fades as it realizes how ineffectual the attack was.
It begins to look fervently behind it, it looks like it is going to make a run for it.
15 Dingetooth: Dingetooth is preoccupied being dead, and cannot take any action for the rest of forever.
9 Garhan: You loiter behind Gird and her fiery disposition.
7 Woden: Predicting some sort of negative reaction to your earlier comment, you begin to come up with a rationalization. You really hope Gird buys it.
6 Gird: You advance on the fearfully twitching mite, and bringing your sword in a wobbly arc, manage to aim right for the neck! But you turn to interrogate Woden, and do not notice the blade barely sink into the creatures blue, warty flesh.
5 Oomlowt: However, you do notice, and being familiar with the tactics of craven creatures in tunnels, you reload and fire. You don't want it running off to do who knows what.
Your bolt hits home this time, plunging deep into the mite's skull, and causing it to slump to the ground, very much dead.
4 Huey: GMNPC You wonder what's happening up ahead, but you'd rather not move, since you've managed to alter your groove to fit the tunnel wall.
You clutch your lantern and feel satisfied with your human ingenuity.
Gird Krellion
"And don't you forget it! But Omelet seems to have...uh..." Gird pulls her sword out of the mite's body, kicking it out of the way. As she does so, Gird notices just how much damage Oomlowt's bolt did. Taking in his comments, Gird was slightly less inclined to give him credit. Sometimes, the d*mn kobold could be real unsettling.
"Well, Omelet helped." Turning back to face the group fully, Gird glares at Woden. "Don't think you're out of the woods yet, Pretty Boy." Looking at Garhan, Gird gestures to her wounds, particularly the wound on her face, which was causing blood to drip into her eye. "Think you can clean this up, Goat Boy?"

Time to GMNPC Gird some more. Nobody was all that surprised.
Gird felt invigorated after the healing hex, and swiftly turns on her heels to follow the tunnel out of the room, mumbling something about stupid short tunnels and how she's so glad she isn't a loser without darkvision.
She moves along the tunnel, which doesn't go far until it ends in a slightly inclined shaft leading who knows where.
She can hear high-pitched, barking shrieks of terror drift up through the hole.
She looks back to see if the group is following her yet.
Then she starts to climb.
Gird Climb Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

While the rest of the group has tried to pile at the base of the tunnel, using the roots for support to avoid falling, Woden, you poor soul, you slip and fall clumsily down the tunnel and land in the room below. This clumsy passage also forces the rest of you to make an Acrobatics check to avoid falling with him.
Thankfully, you're close enough to the bottom that you'll only be a little bruized by the fall.
Woden's Fall Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2) = 11
You are also now Prone.
But while you are lying prone and seriously injured, you can at least survey your surroundings. This egg-shaped cavern has walls obscured by thick tangles of long, pallid roots. To the east, the chamber opens into a wide, root-filled chasm. Along the Southern wall, four black-scaled Kobolds are strung up with the many roots. Three hang limply, while the fourth is screaming in pain as six mites gleefully stab at it with sharp sticks.
Unfortunately, your graceful tumble was noisy, and the Mites have all turned towards you, their ugly, little faces scrunched up with pure rage.

9 Garhan: You bend over, and summoning your questionable powers, you place a warm hand on Woden, and let the power of your patron flow through and heal the wounds of your moaning comrade.
You are very jealous of Calanthe.
7 Woden: Feeling better now that your ribs aren't all cracked and your right femur isn't getting all buddy buddy with your left shin, you uneasily get your feet and take your bow out.
Stupid mites and their stupid tunnels, why do they have to be so short this is the most awkward way you've ever had to hold a bow in your entire life.
6 Gird: After landing in the room near Woden, you quickly take in the angry mites, and knowing your destiny, take out your sword and slash at the nearest one's head, this time chopping through quite cleanly, and leaving the creature to slump to the floor, it's sunken face oozing thick, black blood.
It's good to be the meatshield.
5 Oomlowt: Your Draconic rage is so far ineffectual against anything but a low hanging root, although, the moaning Kobold tied to the wall seems to be gazing at you wistfully.
4 Huey: Climbing is hard and nobody understands.

9 Garhan: You swipe at the Mite with your trusty little dagger (it has gotten you through so much...), but the cramped quarters of the warren make you swing uncertain and awkward, and the Mite simply laughs at you, like some short, blue, playground bully.
7 Woden: Unwilling to die today, you decide to make due with your panicked decision, and lower your bow straight at the Mite-which-had-just-slashed-at-your-legs's head, your arrow making a satisfying thunk in its warty, blue skin.
Unfortunately, the arrow doesn't appear to have gone very deep into the mite's head, and very little blood is coming out of the wound. The creature snarls, and reaches for the arrow, attempting several times before finally snapping it in half.
6 Gird: This time your swing misses the creature altogether, and it's all you can do to keep from nicking Woden's bow with your momentum. You can always ruin his bow later. You may not be on the best of terms with him now, you'd rather not be killed by a bunch of deformed munchkins under a tree.
You hope to Erastil that they won't be throwing cookies at you next, and that none of them are named Keebler. You are not sure why you hope this, as you have never heard of a Keebler Elf before, but you hope it anyway.
5 Oomlowt: Your draconic rage continues to be ineffective at damaging Kobolds, because crossbows do not spit out bolts like machine guns, whatever those are. The mite that had tried to stab you has taken to laughing and imitating you as it dances around looking for a good place to stab.
How ridiculously infuriating.
4 Huey: You look down the hole at all the commotion below. There doesn't seem to be much room for you to jump down yet. Make you can try and use your Halberd? Can that reach?
Calanthe snorts and settles down on the vine across from you, as it has made a perfect platform for her.
You shrug and take her lead.
