Sierion swiftly takes out a half-orc, and Buzz breaks the lie by taking out the other one. Gear and Keskodai take out the last Half-orc, and Raia manages to scorch the armor of the first drow. Meanwhile, Pangea has snuck up from the side, and just berely misses the drow taking cover.
----
The freight elevator open, and a young drow woman sporting a mohawk and wearing spike-shouldered armor steps into view. For a split second, she just stands there, her head tilted to the side as she angrily glares at the dead half-orcs on the floor. She angrily shoves a half-orc standing next to her, uttering “Stupid, useless half-orcs!” before she ducks behind cover.
The two drow take their taclashes, and take a guarded step toward pangea. Their attacks are puny an ineffective.

Pangea tries twice, but his second stab catches the drow off-guard, and brings him down. Sirion has a hard time finding target, but Buzz' markmanship is on point, picking off a half-orc. Iseph and Raia converge shots on the last drow, and take her out, while Keskodai misses.

The forklift robot can be easily controlled, bringing the weapons shipment to the freight elevator. Outside of the compound, the drow guard lies dead, a tiny, bloody hole in its forehead a silent reminder not to mess with the powerful houses of the drow.
And not mess is what the population does, the starfinder's victory a clear indicator of who is on the winning side.
On their way back to Absalom, the intercom bleeps with a message from Naiaj:
“Congratulations on your successful mission, Starfinders. With these new arms, the Society can undertake more difficult field missions. This day is just one more step toward recovering from our recent woes. Return to Absalom Station at once for a full debriefing. Following this, I’ll see about getting your next assignment ready.”

Is there any reason we can't search the upper level on our way out (or is that assumed)? I am hoping that any additional guards we might encounter might surrender once they see their employer's corpse ;-)

DM Kludde |
Going to the basement level more or less means you skipped the infiltrating the upper offices bit. You can go back there, but it would take some additional gametime. Happy to do so if you insist. Alternatively I can provide a summary of the upper level - the resistance will be quite minimal
Sirion Greenspeaker |
I think we got what we wanted to find. For Sirion that would mean he wants to get out ASAP. If that costs us rewards that’s fine (although as a player I would think that a lame move)
Buzz Lightyear |
A summary would be fine. Initially, I went straight for the downstairs area, because we were trying to infiltrate, and that made sense to me. Now that that has gone to hell in a handbasket, and we have killed the 'boss' anyway, it doesn't make sense to me to not give the place a thorough once-over.
A Shifty starfinder |
Happy for summary :) we got what we came for - I always laugh when I hear about some dashing and daring heist coming undone because the seasoned burglars shoplifted something from a shop on the way home and got caught or something equally stupid

Flashback
Before the group departed for the street of Nightarch, they paid a visit to the drow offices, with drow encouragement posters, drow cartoon clippings, drow coffee machines and drow toilets. The starfinders learn that drow, too, have open concept offices. It's all about line of sight.
A screen plays a sequence of three advertisements on an infinite loop. The advertisements are narrated in Drow, but Common subtitles are included. The first advertisement shows drow marksmen shooting sniper rifles, large-caliber handguns, and other firearms, ending with the slogan “Guns, guns, GUNS!” on the screen.
The second advertisement features a female drow squeezing the head of a male half-orc with a fleshwarped hand while her other hand gives a thumbs up to the screen. The screen fades to black, and a second later, there is a sound reminiscent of a bursting watermelon, and red spatters form the words “Invest in yourself—Fleshwarps!”
In the third advertisement, a charismatic undead elebrian—the infamous host Zo!—talks while a side window showcases a squad of orc mercenaries crawling under laser beams, scaling a wall, sneaking into a guarded building, and opening fire on unseen targets. In each scene, a few of the half-orcs die, until only one remains. When the screen fades to black, a muffled scream can be heard in the background, suggesting that the last orc, too, died.
There's some private offices as well, one belong to one Ellandail, who has recently received a message from Villeith: Ellandail, make sure everyone is ready to roll. Stealing the guns and selling them to someone else makes that old fool Xicton look like a real #%&. No one disrespects Villyth Zeizerer and gets away with it!. Clearly, someone disrespected Villyth by setting foul language filters, and got away with it.
In Villyths own office, the computer looks to have been recently modified. With a blunt object. The tuning did not improve performance. There is a large black spider plush toy. The plush toy has “Abysshead” written in Abyssal along the bottom of its abdomen. Squeezing the plush creature’s body, causes the toy to release a brief snippet from one of Abysshead’s louder albums. Also, a local data package is aired, inviting anyone with a portable data device to store a copy of the latest album.
Let me know if you have a personal data device (comms unit, datapad, etc), and if so, if you want to download the album. After that, we can wrap up
